If you want a true AAA 4-diamond dining experience with dishes that your mouth salivates for this is your place. The atmosphere is a rustic elegant feel with top tier service. The kids rated this their favorite restaurant in the area. The Bison Ribeye and Wagyu Bone Marrow Brûlée were our favorites! Don't forget to finish the meal with the Keystone Ranch Grand Marnier Soufflé! This is our go to restaurant when skiing!

The Keystone Ranch is a hidden gem, just minutes away from the resort. We wanted to get drinks and watch the sunset before our dinner reservation, although the Colorado peaks were so tall that we had barely missed it. The bartender raised the blinds so we could get a clear view from the bar area. For miles you can see the snow and the beautiful mountain views. They have an extensive wine list and plenty of liquor choices, which everything can be seen on a digital menu. The servers explained the history of this ranch. They built around this fireplace, and luckily table was right next to it. We had the best seat in the house! The bread and butter was delicious. The butter tasted like it was freshly whipped and was accompanied with a jam. Enjoy the bread with the jam and butter combined. For apps we got the burrata, prawns, and the jumbo lump crab beignet was amazing!!! You must try this. It was so good that I had to order it to go! We tried the lamb chops, duck breast, scallops, and twice baked potatoes. Everything was full of flavor and was delicately plated. We had some pinot to accompany our main entrees. For dessert we tried the pumpkin cheesecake and the chocolate mousse! The drinks, food, and experience was worth every dollar. If you're looking for a fancy restaurant this spot won't disappoint!

Great meal and atmosphere to go to after a long day of skiing. Definitely pricey, but service was really great!

We came for my birthday and I can say the food was fine. The highlight of the meal was the bread and butter. Brussels Sprouts were good, and the braised short rib was good- fairly bland in the grand scheme of meals. The dessert was great. Karen was our server and she was good no complaints. I guess the main draw would be the ambiance with the overlook and the secluded Mountain View. The host was okay. All in all a nice place to dine once in Keystone.

Awesome view with great food and a fantastic bar. We went for happy hour drinks, appetizers, and burgers. Well worth it. The bartender, PJ, is amazing. The service is wonderful and the food is top notch. The happy hour from 4-6 had a good selection of drinks and food. I highly recommend the old fashion and the huckleberry mule. The duck fat fries will make me come back asap.

Yesterday, We planned reservations and entered the place. 5 minutes later, We got a very nice man waiter named Brandon. He immediately gave us our menu's. It was so small for all the neat new stuff that was on the menu! (Kids menu has 7 food choices) We got to pick beverages about 3 minutes later. All the stuff was different, but awesome tasting! If I had to guess, it took about 25-30 minutes to get our food. You can get food multiple times, Which is not in any other places in almost the whole world, if I had to guess, because this is the first time me and my family got that option. Oh and I forgot to say, You can have up to 6 or 7 people in your party! Next that comes up is the dessert. During or after dessert you can have coffee or something else. Actually, you automatically get dessert without paying when it's dessert time! There is 4 tasty options. Sadly I forgot what they are. If you don't know which two options to choose, You get them mixed! On the way to the bathroom, there is photos from the place a long time ago. Although this place is pretty expensive to go to, You Definitely deserve it!

Scallops, Ny strip, truffle Mac and cheese - A dining table displays a meal with a main plate of steak, mashed potatoes topped with herbs, and sautéed mushrooms. Two bowls contain macaroni and cheese garnished with herbs and breadcrumbs. A third plate holds asparagus spears with seared scallops, garnished with microgreens. There are glasses of red and white wine, and a glass of water, indicating a formal dining experience.

Catrina was an excellent waitress. She was attentive, friendly and helpful with menu options. The food was divine - truffle Mac and cheese is a must!

Bone marrow appetizer. Only complaint was, their platter needs either a lip or a trough around the edge like a carving board... messy.

Delicious meal for a special occasion, a 50th birthday dinner while we were on a ski trip. Highlights: Scott S. was an attentive, savvy server. The food was excellent and cooked to our preferences. The ambiance of the dining room was okay (we were in a chilly corner of a room off the main dining room, because it was a busy night) and the ambiance of the lounge and fireplaced 'great room' were wonderful. Here's what I loved about the meal: BRUSSELS SPROUTS! I swear, this is the first time I've ever looked under my other food for every last trace of a vegetable. Delicious. Also, steaks were excellent; not too heavily seasoned, just high quality local product, cooked perfectly to our liking. Between us we had a hanger steak, an aged ribeye, and a 10 oz beef tenderloin, all medium-rare. I also had the wedge salad, my husband had the marrow appetizer, and we all had dessert. I don't drink but my husband said the cocktails (thank you, PJ!) and the suggested wine (thank you, Scott!) were just right. Here's what I loved about Scott: 1) He knew the menu by heart, and could recommend things suitable to our tastes. 2) He made us feel welcome and attended to. 3) He has a great sense of service, balancing friendliness with efficiency. 4) He connected us a little with the history of the restaurant and with the new chef. 5) Scott is quick-witted and funny. I was skeptical about the whole "let's relocate you for dessert in the living room" concept*, but Scott found us a table with comfy seating, and we enjoyed a nice strong latte and a couple of desserts with the kids in their high-ceilinged great room. We got to watch the snow fall through the picture windows and watched two big hares chase each other across the snow. An excellent experience that we will hope to repeat next year! ~~~~~ * They have this down to a science, and Scott didn't move us away from the dinner table until he had a dedicated spot for our group in the living room. Hooray! Because OK so I have a thing about craning my neck around trying to find a place to sit in a crowded restaurant / bar / cafe. I hate the feeling of wandering around with my whole family trying to find seating. But I am totally with them on the relaxation of having coffee on comfy chairs after dinner. Thank you!

Ambiance Good…read moreservice Food delicious !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I honestly don't like leaving bad reviews, but this experience was terrible…read more I ordered mac and cheese with chili and pork, and what came out looked like plain microwaveable Kraft mac and cheese. There was no chili, no pork, nothing -- just basic mac and cheese that tasted like it came straight out of a box. My friend ordered a burger that was supposed to come with lettuce, blue cheese, and the works. Instead, it arrived with just chicken and bread. That was it. No toppings at all. The water we were given was also incredibly dirty -- it literally looked grey. Service somehow managed to be both overwhelming and nonexistent. While we were eating, the waiter came back to the table every couple of seconds so we couldn't even have a conversation. But when we were actually ready for the check, suddenly there was no waiter anywhere and we fwaited about 15 minutes. On top of that, every request got mixed up. I asked for blue cheese and after about 10 minutes the waiter came back with ranch. Then I asked for lemon vinaigrette (which the meal was supposed to come with) and instead got honey mustard. After explaining again, she came back with... even more honey mustard. We also paid $10 for fries with green chili and received about 15 fries. And one more thing when paying they did NOT bring my card back for about 20 minutes. It was also extremely dark where we were sitting all of the surrounding lights were off but everywhere else in the resteraunt was perfectly fine Overall the food quality, service, and attention to orders were extremely disappointing. Definitely not an experience I'd repeat don't waste your money here.

We ordered from the waitress, whom was nice, but she never came back to check on us after she served us our food. The food was horrible. I ordered the pancakes and bacon. The bacon was hard, stale, and dry as if it had been reheated several times. My pancakes were crunchy and tasted like sour milk. The mixed fruit cup was the best part of the breakfast. It's located downstairs in such a great hotel, so we really expected better or at least decent!

Date of visit: February 14, 2025…read more While staying at the resort on a snowy Valentine's Day, my friend wanted to venture out but I wasn't all that hungry or interested in battling the weather and opted for a night inside instead, but maybe he was right. We did not have a reservation and Brian the host was both accommodating and extremely frazzled. It seemed like the restaurant was a bit understaffed but I couldn't tell from all of the staff roaming around the restaurant and bar area. Our server was Michael from KCMO who was nice enough when we actually saw him, he did not make many appearances during our time at Bighorn, sadly. They had a piano player who was fine enough, but I actually preferred it when he wasn't playing as it just made it easier to talk . Had there been an option, I would have preferred something further from the piano, but given the lack of reservation I was not going to protest! Not being super hungry I went with a soup and salad. The soup sounded wonderful: Sweet Potato Bisque. It was not wonderful. It didn't really taste like sweet potatoes and once the crispy coconut topping was gone, so was the magic. However the Caesar salad was quite good; had I known this I would have just gone with a dinner version of this and called it a night!

The service is always goodʻ but the restaurant is always cold and the decor is getting really dated - especially at this price point. It is just looking tired and cheap. But the big disappointment was the prime rib. On both visits, it was soft and stringy (typical of low quality prime) and basically flavorless. Plus, the food on our plates was all barely warm - like it sat in the kitchen window too long. There have been a few great new restaurants open nearby, and several others opening soon. The restaurant side is upscale dining and the saloon side is haute dive bar. Steak is the main thing on the menu, but they also have great seafood offerings. The steak has that western chick wagon flavor and is cooked true to temperature. They also have some imaginative cocktails. The prices run a little high, as one might expect in a ski town. At the Snake, service is what keeps you coming back. Attentive and enjoyable, I have yet to have an experience below excellent.
