I love how one side of the restaurant is super nice for a date night and the other side is more chill vibes with the bar. Getting seated right away wasn't an issue and our server, although in training, did an amazing job! As for the food, the wings were SO GOOD 9/10, however the main courses fell short. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken and the chicken was too charred for my liking, also some of the noodles were a bit dry 7/10. My boyfriend ordered a steak and said it was also too charred for his liking. I ordered the Cosmo and yikes it was so strong that I had to switch it out for the Chocolate Velvet which was much better 8/10. Honestly overall I was a little disappointed with the food especially for the price. Not worth it in my opinion.

This saloon and steakhouse has the best of both worlds. The steakhouse has an upscale fine dining atmosphere and the saloon is very rustic/casual vibe! The service is top notch. No water glass goes empty nor is a plate left for even 30 seconds after finishing. The waiter was wonderful and the food was fantastic. We loved the fresh baked bread and honey butter too. The saloon should start a butter processing business as there was no shortage of their delicious butter on the table.

We dined here while in town for our ski vacation. This place has been around for quite some time and years ago it was much better than now. We agree the place has gone down hill considerably. While our waitress was attentive and kept us up to date on the status of our lengthy wait for food, we were mostly disappointed. The good stuff- Friendly waitstaff and the bread and butter were delicious. Incredibly attentive refilling drinks. The T-bone steak was flavorful and very good. The not so good- The onion rings seemed overcooked and greasier than typical onion rings. The filet that was ordered with a lobster tail was overcooked and the lobster tail was rubbery. The other filet was so undercooked, it was basically raw inside of the exterior char. We aren't sure what happened that delayed our food so long. We were a party of 4 and the much larger parties that came in after us ate before us. Tired of waiting, we ordered dessert to go. The slices of cheesecake were much smaller than what we've received at other places. It was good, not great. Not sure we will be back next time we are in town. Average food, resort town prices.

I was always to myself and others that restaurants in mountain towns were at best Just Okay. But here is Snake River Saloon changing my mind! First, the atmosphere of the restaurant is a mix between an old west style steakhouse and an upscale diner. Lighting was low but we had plenty of light coming from the windows. Parking is pretty easy. Plenty of parking for the restaurant and they do get full, Christy Sports parking lot is also available. We made reservations but we did also arrive earlier than our time slot. It wasn't an issue at all and we were seated immediately. Staff here is very nice and very attentive. Our server was Karen and she was on point with the service. The staff here worked like a team and that makes the experience even better. I love how attentive they were and helped out when it was needed. The drinks menu was pretty interesting. Definitely not your usual restaurant/bar drinks. The drink I ordered was the Dog Gone Blues: Vodka, Triple Sec, and Blueberry Jam. Never had a drink with Blueberry Jam before so I had to get it. The bartender did not disappoint on this one! None of the ingredients were overpowering and all ingredients worked perfectly together. My wife ordered My Cup Of Tea: Tequila, muddled raspberries, jasmine green tea, grapefruit juice. It reminded her of a margarita. It was good but the lime and salt rim was too sour which didn't go well with the drink. She also mentioned that she hardly tasted the tea. Now on to the food which was the star of the evening. For starters we ordered the Escargot and Bone Marrow. Please don't ask me to choose which was better because this will be a hard choice. The escargot was full of so much flavors. The snails were place on top of mushrooms, surrounded with this sherry wine sauce that was the perfect complement to the snails. Each bite was ridiculously good that it was this whole dish was quickly devoured. Once the last bite of escargot was eaten, a tear was shed. This was moment was like saying goodbye to your child when they go off to their first day of kindergarten. The only part of this dish that wasn't eaten was the bread. Everything else on this dish was so good, we lost site of the bread. Maybe next time bread, maybe next time. The Bone Marrow also got the same amount of attention. First, I was a little surprised on how much marrow was on the bones. I think there were 6 toasted slices of bread with the dish and all 6 had generous amounts of marrow slathered on them. I highly recommend putting the veggies on the toast. They will help cut the richness of the marrow and they add more flavors to the bites. With this combination, each bite will taste like a party in your mouth and you will be dancing in your chair while you eat. I know I did. For the main course I ordered the Ribeye with the snake butter on top. This boneless piece of hearty ribeye was cooked perfectly to medium rare, with a nice charred outer layer. Adding the snake butter on top puts this dish above the rest. I am not sure what's in the snake butter but the obvious flavor I got from it was... Love, yep that's what it was, a taste of love. The roommate got the stuffed halibut after our server Karen mentioned this special (which wasn't on the menu). The way Karen described this dish was almost like she hitting my wife and my wife fell for it. And it did not disappoint. Stuffed with spinach and then wrapped in this potato sheet then deep fried to a crispy consistency. Then it was slathered with this creamy white sauce that made me want to tell Karen to behave herself. I mean there were kids around.... The dish was so good that I did not mind this from Karen at all. This experience has got me to change my mind about the mountain restaurants. Especially in Keystone. I am already counting the days until we come back here again. And I am looking forward to trying the other dishes that Snake River Saloon offers

Limited food options around the area and it has been there a long time but for the price you pay it's slightly underwhelming.

We ordered from the waitress, whom was nice, but she never came back to check on us after she served us our food. The food was horrible. I ordered the pancakes and bacon. The bacon was hard, stale, and dry as if it had been reheated several times. My pancakes were crunchy and tasted like sour milk. The mixed fruit cup was the best part of the breakfast. We did not have a reservation and Brian the host was both accommodating and extremely frazzled. It seemed like the restaurant was a bit understaffed but I couldn't tell from all of the staff roaming around the restaurant and bar area. Our server was Michael from KCMO who was nice enough when we actually saw him, he did not make many appearances during our time at Bighorn, sadly. They had a piano player who was fine enough, but I actually preferred it when he wasn't playing as it just made it easier to talk . Had there been an option, I would have preferred something further from the piano, but given the lack of reservation I was not going to protest! Not being super hungry I went with a soup and salad. The soup sounded wonderful: Sweet Potato Bisque. It was not wonderful. It didn't really taste like sweet potatoes and once the crispy coconut topping was gone, so was the magic. However the Caesar salad was quite good; had I known this I would have just gone with a dinner version of this and called it a night!

The entrance is a warm inviting walk through a Colorado ranch feel with white christmas lights lighting you're way. Staff was very attentive. The inside is a real feel of an old time lodge with todays amenities and furniture. The food was something i didn't expect truth be told. My white bean soup left me unimpressed. However, then came the rest of the food. Excellent. I appetizers -- excellent. Main course -- perfect. I had the short ribs -- soft flavorful without drowning out the natural flavors, grilled assortment of carrots really balance it with a sweetness that is a perfect addition. Stick Toffee -- delicious (Gordon Ramsay's mom would approve) Staff was fun and could hold up a piffy conversation (i like to talk). Hands down -- a great night out of good food. We did the sleigh ride and dinner activity after a day of skiing. Meeting up at the adventure…read morecenter was easy to navigate although can get crowded, there was a hockey game there. Parking is in a separate lot through a tunnel that was easy to find and not too far away. We took a bus to where the sleigh picked us up. The bus ride was about 15-20 minutes long. It had been snowing all day so we were not driving very fast. The sleigh ride was so fun and cute. The guides were very educational and the sleigh goes pretty slow because they are old. There were two sleighs and two horses each. Each sleigh can hold about 15 people probably. We had about 10 people each. That day was particularly chilly but luckily they had tons of blankets for us to bundle up in on the sleigh ride so it wasn't too bad. The cabin where we eat was super cute and cozy. There was lots of seating with long tables and benches. There was assigned seating and we were the only party of two besides another party so we were seated together. The table was spacious though. As soon as we got there we had hot chocolate, stew, and buttermilk biscuits with butter and honey butter. We had free refills on hot chocolate all night and got a complementary shot of peppermint schnapps to put in. The buttermilk biscuits were amazing and so so delicious. The honey butter was also amazing. The stew was so warm and flavorful as well. We got the steak and the salmon. I got my steak medium rare and it was cooked perfectly and was so juicy and tender. The side vegetables and the mashed potatoes were delicious. I also loved the bourbon bbq sauce that they had on the table. I put it on my steak and potatoes. The salmon was also well cooked and super delicious. For dessert we had apple pie with vanilla ice cream. That was also so so good. Drinks were at an extra charge and we had two soda creek lemonades which had bourbon. It was so so good and really set the mood for the dinner in the cabin. The table settings were so cute, we had live entertainment which was really really good, the service was amazing and we loved our whole experience! Apparently they have a summer experience as well and I'd love to try it out someday! The bathroom was unfortunately an outhouse and I was feeling skeptical so I waited to get back to the adventure center to use the bathroom.

I will admit that when we arrived at the Spa and resort to get the shuttle, I was a little taken back. They have you wait in a dingy basement arcade. It's not the "magical" atmosphere one would think when booking a horse drawn sleigh through the mountains to dinner. I was not impressed and thought that this whole thing was going to be horrible. This wasn't helped by the fact that we had to wait around for over 30 mi. For one family that decided they were more important than everyone else and wanted to show up when they felt like it. I believe that we were all there as required and if you're that tardy we should have left. Because of this, we started late, and the entire event felt rushed from start to finish. Now that the negative is out of the way... The bus took us to the national forest where Keystone has an agreement to use the land for these events. We were met by a beautiful a pair of horses and a large sleigh. We boarded and were given blankets. Off we went. It was pretty fantastic. The coachman was personable and informative. He also had a great sense of humor. The horses took us on a trail with mountains and foothills around us. We were led to a small structure and exited to go in. After seating the fun began. A guitar player and singer, drinks and food. The ambience was rustic and fitting. Perfect. The surprise was that the food was well above expectations. The soup was amazing. The steak and salmon were great. Everyone was friendly and attentive. We ended with a wonderful dessert. We all had such a nice experience. The price seems very high at first and could be a deterrent, but trust me. It's worth it. Don't forget to bring cash for tips!
