This review has nothing to do with the quality of food or the staff. This review is about their horrendous manager or property owner. My buddy and I were wanting to get some breakfast before I dropped him off at the airport. We park in the KB donuts parking lot and this guy, who introduces himself as the owner, comes up to us and asks us where we are going? I told him we came here for some donuts and coffee. He continued about how he is pissed people keep coming here and parking in his lot that is specifically for KB donuts and Green Olive restaurant parking. (He points to all the signs) I said "I know that's where I am going.". He tells me he doesn't believe me and tells me he doesn't need my business. (I come here like once a week and Green Olive maybe twice a week because I live nearby) He continues to be rude and unprofessional towards me. He then tells me people park here just to go to The Grain across the street (A better and healthier restaurant I might add. I just didn't have time to go there before making it to the airport.) He tried calling me out about going across the street because I was taking the sidewalk. I just laughed and pointed to another worker doing some cleaning or landscaping, because he had a hose doing something? I told him I was walking around the worker, because he was hosing off or watering something? It was just a very embarrassing experience for this manager and it sucks because I like both KB Donuts and Green Olive, but I dislike this man's manners and how he treats people. I can only imagine how he treats his employees. This man was incredibly rude and unprofessional towards us and I told him even though I was going to get donuts at KB... that him telling me he doesn't need my business I'll just go else where from now on. BEST BREAKFAST IN LONG BEACH. I've lived here a long time and even tho this place is a longer drive than other good spots I always go here. The #5 and #6 changed my life, and their Vietnamese coffee??? Goddamn delicious. read more

So we have been here multiple times since my first review and I just can't say enough how much we love their tacos. I got a fish taco today and they are just as good as the Carnitas. If I had one suggestion to give them, is they need better salsa choices. I can't do too spicy..but a good chunky, medium spice, red salsa would seriously be killer! read more

Today I had the breakfast burrito which was amazing and the price is right. Prior to today I have had other breakfast items and I've always been very happy. The service is great also! This place is extremely expensive and their food tastes awful. I ordered lunch for two friends just basic burritos and a gyro, yes I probably should not have ordered a gyro from a donut place. What can I say about this place? 1) it's family owned and you get a home feeling every time you step foot into this business. 2) Paula is very very helpful and kind she makes her coffee fresh just for you which is a good feeling especially when I show at 10-11am and the old coffee is left over she has no problem making it fresh for you without asking. I APPRECIATE IT SO MUch!!! 3) they just now started a taco Tuesday which is a first for me! Right? Tacos at a donut shop? Kinda weary but nonetheless AMAZING and better than the "authentic" taco spot down the street. 4) the donuts are by far my all time favorite thing ! Some donut shops leave the ones from over night and you could seriously taste the quality but when I come here I have no doubt I my mind that I am getting fresh donuts, which reeled me in and those awesome ham, cheese bagels they make !! Our go-to neighborhood donut shop! It's your solid donut shop, with all the classics, some newer tricks (their cronuts are great) and they always try something new for fun. They also serve great coffee and a BIG selection of hot food/breakfast/lunch options, especially since the head cook of a restaurant that closed next door joined them! My wife and I often wake up and go there for breakfast to get the day started. And, to top it of, the staff is SO friendly and nice! They really do make an effort to make you feel like they're indeed your neighborhood donut place - and they do it well. We will keep going there often, and hope everyone else does too! read more

I love to stop here for coffee before jumping on the freeway, and today to my surprise they are now serving vegan donuts, early in the morning I seen as much as 1 tray, labeled vegan. Good enough for me :) Its a great addition to my morning coffee and commute. Thanks KB! read more

Hamburgers are my son's favorite food, so much that going a week without a burger night has it's consequences (imagine Kylo Ren). Ever since my son's beloved Belmont Burgers closed, we've had to drive to the nearest burger joint. KB is our neighborhood donut shop and we love it. We never paid much attention to the savory side of the menu until tonight. A KB Burger Combo was brought home. After the first bite, my son claimed it was "better than I+O!!!". This is my favorite place to stop for breakfast. The food is amazing and they are open early. I've yet to try to burgers but the tacos and donuts are both amazing! The croissants are also fluffy and perfect. Plus, it's very affordable and the customer service is great. I try to tip the difference of what I would pay for fast food! We came here several mornings for breakfast. Loved all of the baked goods, especially the croissants. They were huge! I tried the chocolate and the ham, spinach and cheese croissants. Very filling and delicious. They had a nice strong iced coffee too. No milk offered, but the flavored cream choices were pretty good. We really enjoyed coming here in the morning to start our day. The staff are so sweet and make great conversation. We will absolutely return on our next visit to Long Beach! read more

Went here for the first time today on my drive into work, the lady ( I believe the owner) was very friendly. The donuts all looked so good and fresh and there were even some with Oreos and fruity pebbles on them! I got a dozen for $9.25 (because I got 2 with Oreos and fruity pebbles on them .25 extra and worth it) great deal! Nice place and the new owner is very friendly and inviting! Now that they have a grill, I will probably drop by more often. Alex became a partner and handles the grill, who basically brought over many items that were at the burger joint on the corner. The place is friendly and clean with reasonable prices. KB Donuts is our happy place. We recently got married and drove around Long Beach tasting donuts. We wanted to find the best for our wedding donut bar. Not only did Paula and KB Donuts have the best tasting, most fresh, and best looking donuts around -- they were truly the most generous. We live very close and always see the signs for Taco Tuesday but unfortunately get home too late to eat here. But today, today we had time and boy was it worth it! We started with the Asada and Carnitas tacos to try it out. DELICIOUS. Super juicy and flavorful. The homemade green salsa is perfect! We then had to try every taco, which included chicken, grilled shrimp and grilled fish. The chicken was flavorful and juicy just as the Asada and carnitas were and the fish and shrimp were very fresh, seasoned perfectly and not over cooked! We will definitely be back to try the donuts, smoothies and everything else that is on the menu! Now on to the staff! It was our first time and they took us in as if we were family! Wonderful donut shop they've been there forever with many different owners. It's sad Belmont burger went out of business and the owner retired, but it's nice that one of the cooks now works here at KB Donuts and makes them the same way and practically everything on their old menu.
