I've come to Kaffeine on and off over the past five years. It's one of my favorite places in the entire city, and not enough people know about it. The staff is knowledgeable and gives good recommendations if you can't decide what to get. The baked goods are always delicious and the Vietnamese (iced) coffee is my favorite. Neat venue. Plenty of seating with tons of space. I like the decor. The coffees were very good. The service was fast and everyone was very kind. If I had to upgrade one thing it would be a better menu to view besides the one sheet of paper printout. One of my favorite coffee places in Indy. Hidden, off the beaten path. Mostly locals that live in the area. Great coffee and great service. I have not gotten any of there pastries, only coffee and espresso but they are always consistent. Parking is very limited and the inside can get very crowded on the weekends. I have yet to come in post COVID so I do not know how they have been dealing with social distancing inside. My experiences were pre pandemic. Who loves supporting local coffee shops? I know I do. It's always better to support local then go to chains like Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts, just remember that folx. This shop is located on the back inside of mass Avenue. It's somewhat hidden by GPS will get you there perfectly. I will have to admit it was quite difficult to know where I could or could not park because some areas said it was residential parking some other areas that it was for other shops, I risk it and just park somewhere and didn't get towed, so it was a good day. There is plenty of seating indoors and I appreciated how tall the ceilings were. They have maps throughout which makes it quite aesthetically pleasing. The one large map is the coffee belt which is quite fascinating. The staff were quite friendly and then menu was easy to comprehend. There's nothing too extravagant on the menu, nice good classic options. I ordered a cappuccino. I would say the price was right for the drinks. I will admit it was not the best cappuccino I have ever had but it was still quite good. They have tea options as well and also some pastries. If you're looking for a good spot in the Indy area to support you Should check the shop out. They've got plenty of areas for people to collaborate with others during meetings with some very big tables and also a small quaint areas to catch up with friends, family, lovers. Loved this small coffee shop in the heart of downtown. Not only did we meet the sweetest dog (yes, it's dog friendly), we were able to have some delicious coffee. The toasted marshmallow was the perfect temperature and just sweet enough to make it great. The surprise marshmallow at the end was by far my favorite part. Overall, it's a great vibe. I went for a coffeedate with my husband yesterday , the barista got my order wrong , not once but twice !!! It was about 4 pm it was not even busy and they took long to get the coffee's ready. Then by the time they had it ready she got my coffe wrong so she had to make it again, few min later , hubby went up the counter and ask is this the Spanish latte" the girl looked confused and she had done the coffe wrong again! She did a different coffe forgot the name . Then, we had to wait few MORE minutes to get the RIGHT coffee . About 30 min later I finally got my coffee right and my husband had already finished his coffee . We were not even offer a refund or a free one at this time . So disappointed. My roommate and I have been trying out a new Indy coffee shop every Friday, and this find has been one of our favorites. Kaffeine's industrial interior with warm-colored murals and wood accents provided a cool and cozy atmosphere for Friday morning coffee with my best friend. Parking was accessible and prices were fair. We were excited to explore the menu with so many options of coffee from all over the world. We both got Kaffe Macchiatos, which were amazing. The shop is located in a great spot with the ability to walk around after getting coffee. The shop also has a garage door that opens providing open air, furthering the refreshing environment. We sipped our coffee and watched as a small bird hung out on the door. The open garage door and spacing of the tables makes Kaffeine a safer location to get coffee with a friend during COVID. Tip: the Moroccan coffee is served as 32 oz so it is to share and for multiple people . This is because of the method used to brew it. I ordered 2 apple strudel muffins -5/5 they were amazing fresh soft and tasted really good warm. initially i wasnt gonna get one but the other person I was with insisted & im glad I did Cinnabon 5/5 its really huge and enough for two people Cafe mocha also 5/5 it was finished before we made it home For my self I ordered a cafe Americano which I've heard is typically the weakest coffee brewing method... and this coffee was extremely light but I did get a caffeine boost from it overall id say a 3/5 for the drink.. Stopped in for a quick coffee with my hubs- we had never even heard of it. The aesthetic is a 10 for sure- with an office-y vibe. Hubs ordered a drip coffee, and I opted for the matcha latte. I stepped into Kaffeine Coffee and immediately fell in love! This place is a gem! The old school rustic vibe of the interior just pulls you in! Even the menu board they have available at the counter for viewing gives you an old typewriter feeling! The service was fantastic and I just enjoyed being able to sit and have a networking meeting in such a welcoming place. This is a great little place to grab coffee and to quietly work! I definitely would never have found Kaffeine if I hadn't been actually looking for it. It's kind of in an alley...but the inside has a very cool, industrial type of feel. Everything is very simply decorated but it seems to fit the vibe. My barista made me a sweetened cortado and it was absolutely delicious. Their coffee is so smooth!! I will say, if you're looking for your typical flavored latte, this is not the place for you. They don't have any flavors, which really surprised me! After getting my coffee, I definitely felt like I wouldn't have wanted a flavor, but I know that would turn a lot of people away from getting something. I love it when new businesses pop into the neighborhood, especially when it's local and closer than a national chain that I frequent often. I was fortunate enough to be able to swing by Kaffeine Coffee, Co on their soft opening and check it out. Located on Fulton Street directly behind Circa Apartments, it's going to take some people some time to find the place. Once you do though, you'll be back time and time again. Limited parking spaces are available out front, but I suspect most of the business will be foot traffic from the apartments. Kaffeine Coffee started out as a food truck, but after the birth of their two kids, finding a place to put down roots and call "home" with a storefront was important, Amanda told me. She, along with her husband Chris, run the place. I ordered a mocha that came out beautifully prepared and delicious. It took a few minutes to get it because these baristas are about the presentation just as much as the taste. I like this. The aesthetic of this coffee shop is a 10/10. I loved how big and open it is. The decor is worldly and fun. There were some very interesting antique pieces. I'd definitely co-work here sometime. There are a couple spots that have outlets so I could set up shop here for awhile. Now, the coffee is for those who reeeally love coffee. If you're looking for some sugary concoction, this is not the place for you. They don't do syrups or flavors at all. There are some really unique options though and the flavor of the coffee is phenomenal. For food, they have a few different scones, muffins, and a couple bagels. The scones looked delightful, although I didn't try one. The bagel I tried was pretty standard. One of the best parts was that there's free parking in the back. I'm going to preface this review by saying, we NEVER go to coffee shops because we pull better espresso and make better milk based drinks that most of them out there. While on vacation, we found Kaffeine Coffee in a beautiful little corner of downtown Indianapolis. In search of a coffee fix, we decided to give it a shot. As we entered, the vibe was, for us at least, exactly right. A converted industrial building with high ceilings and original floors and walls, sporting an original patina, the atmosphere is welcoming and intriguing. The staff was extremely friendly and professional and our barista served up an oatmilk cappuccino for my wife and a Spanish Breva for me. I can't speak to the taste of the oatmilk cappuccino, but my Spanish breva was outstanding right down to the perfectly poured latte art. The pricing was very reasonable ( this coming from a guy who won't go to a Starbucks and pay exorbitant prices for mediocre coffee.) A brief and pleasant exchange of words with the Barista as we picked up our drinks ( served in quality, heavy ceramic cups) topped off an overall outstanding experience. Gosh this place is dangerous!!! Especially since I live so close. Hands down, my go-to coffee place downtown! Always quick & reliable service, serving up delicious drinks. I usually stick to iced lattes, but they offer a variety of other drinks. Think coffees/lattes/teas. I've somehow never had any of the food (resisting their pasties on the county is a VERY hard thing to do), but have heard their everything bagels hit the spot every time. I think it's a great place to get some work done or catch up with a friend. Keep in mind, it is pretty quiet in there during the day. During the summer, I love that they open the doors, which adds to their cool and quirky vibe. I will warn though sometimes it gets a little warm in there! If you haven't been there before, be aware, it is a little off-the-beaten path on Fulton Street. Do yourself a favor, and walk the few short blocks from Mass Ave. You certainly won't regret it! Parking also is a bit of an challenge. From what I can tell, most people park across the street using Circa's spots. I've never seen anyone towed from there (during the day), but just be aware when you plan your visit! read more

Kaffeine Coffee is hidden in the wedge shaped neighborhood between Mass Avenue and the I-65/I-70. The shop has a small sign out front and a few parking spaces in front, but other than that, you have to find a spot where street parking is allowed. I was lucky and got a spot directly in front, so I entered the shop mid-morning. The shop is rather dimly lit with strong backlighting from the windows. The interior has some nice decor, using books and giant world mural as the most noticeable. The place was pretty full, so I got my order to go: A Kaffeine special blend coffee (12 oz was my size) and a couple muffins. They have a list of all the coffee options on a small clipboard along the right hand wall (near where the napkins, creamer, sweeteners are.) They have a lot of flavors, so there should be something for about anyone who likes coffee. The pastries are kept under glass at the central cashier's counter. I went with a blueberry muffin and a carrot cake muffin, which I saved for later. The Blueberry had a good flavor, but was less sweet than most store bought varieties I have tried. It had a slightly denser texture than I expected as well. (The Carrot Cake is also less sweet than I have had and does not have any icing like most I've tried. The carrot is really pronounced in flavor.) The only knock I have here is that like most coffee places, the coffee is kept so hot that you can't drink it straight for ten minutes without scalding your mouth and ruining the ability to taste the flavor. So, I didn't think there was much flavor in my early sips, but as the coffee cooled, the flavor improved and was more satisfying. Review #653 read more
