Very good price for the amount of food we ordered. Decent quality of food. Crispy egg plant and beef hotpot were my favorite items. Mapo tofu is lacking umami. Beef aorta and beef tendon skewers were good. Size of the skewers are larger than other Chinese skewers in town. Food also came out at a decent wait time. Compared to other Chinese BBQ place - it is a little bit faster. Definitely a good alternative if you want fast and good value for your money. read more

I have dreams about these candied yams. The fact that I came here twice specifically for the yams. You might not see it on the menu, but they do have it. You just have to say candied yams or candied sweet potatoes. You have to eat it and dip it in cold water because this is so hot. The server will watch you eat your first bite because he wants to make sure you dip it in the cold water first. Because it's caramelized the potatoes keep the eternal hot heat. They don't wanna be liable if you burn your tongue. The sugar does get a little hard towards the end and get stuck on the plate, but it's delicious. Honestly, if I wasn't such a foodie, I would only get the yams. The way my friend and I were fighting over who got to take the leftover yams. We ended up sharing. Haha They do have really good kebab options . I personally like the beef the most. I think it really holds the flavor really well. I will say their seasoning is more on the cumin side and not spicy at all. I want it to be both spicy and have that cumin flavor. I think I brought my own seasoning. The second time I came, because it was just not spicy. To me at least I'm slightly a spice addict. So do with that information as you will. I don't think I would order the green beans again, the flavor of the green beans was actually really good but that red sauce on top of it was not it. It was kind of like a knock off Korean gochujang paste. And it was really weird. They only put it on one side of the green beans however that played well in our favor because we liked the part without the sauce. The cucumbers were good as well, but I had to add lots of chili oil to it. Anyways, I would definitely come here if you're looking to try Chinese barbecue kebabs for the first time. They do have other food options that can fill you up so you you're not spending as much money on the kebabs. Kebabs are either per stick like the squid and sausage or they come in a group like the chicken and beef. If you do order the kebabs, eat it really fast because it tastes better when it's hot. read more

I've been coming here a few times and let me tell you. Their kabobs never disappoint!! Their skewers are always so generously seasoned and the service is always fast, the wait time is always 10 minutes and they often have it ready sooner. However what keeps bringing me back here is their price. $7 for 5 skewers is very hard to beat. read more

This place is delicious and the best for kabobs in town!! The prices are very very reasonable and I love the beef and lamb kabobs. They are seasoned very well. I also love the sausages. The service is slow but that's because there's only one server and one or two cooks in the back so please be patient. It's definitely worth the wait! read more

Not the same as before now. Skewers are pre-cooked, not cooked when ordered as they were hot and fresh with plenty of seasoning previously. Now it comes out in a few minutes which isn't the right way. Sad times read more

Dined in an hour or so before closing. My eating buddy and I were the only ones in there initially. 2 more groups came after us, and 1 more tried to get seated 10 mins before closing...but the server said "We are closed" very bluntly with no sorry or anything and rushed them out, which I thought was kinda rude, he could have been a little nicer. Our service was just ok, he did past my table a few times and didn't refill my water when it was clearly empty. Anyway, this is a small establishment with a few booths on both sides and few tables in the middle. The open kitchen is in the back of the restaurant. The menu is basically Chinese food with the main thing being kabobs. Here's what we ordered and the ratings accordingly: Kabobs: I'm pretty sure they use the same seasoning/sauce on all of the kabobs by the way. - Fish cake 7/10. - Shrimp: 7/10. - Beef tendon ball 6/10. Kinda dry. - Squid tentacles 7/10. The only one that didn't come on a skewer, it did come with scissors so we can cut it up though. - Mushroom wrapped with pork belly: 10/10. This was the best kabob in my opinion. They use enoki, which are one of my favorite mushrooms and it paired well with the pork belly. - Chicken heart (I don't eat these, eating buddy got it...so can't rate) Other dishes: - Hot & numbing beef spicy pot: 4/10. Despite the name, unfortunately it was not spicy or numbing at all. The star of the dish, the beef, was just very lacking. I took it home and had to add more flavor and seasoning to make it taste good. However, I did enjoy the lotus root and potatoes in it. - Steamed pork buns: 6/10. Overall rating: This place was alright, 3/5 stars. I wouldn't get anything other then kabobs next time, but I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here again to be honest. All the kabobs were just average to me. read more

Randomly picked this place on a Monday night because most of the other kabob places were closed. I'm glad for that. This place was a hell of a find for us. The food was so flavorful and delicious. The must have is the their green beans plate. Had the beef and lamb kabobs and they were delicious. Also, tried the lamb ribs plate. I've never had lamb ribs so flavorful. They weren't falling off the bones but they were still yummy. Oh and don't eat the red peppers on the plate. I can handle most hot foods or so I thought. I cried several Indian tears (both dot and feather). The food is very reasonably priced and absolutely worth every penny. read more

Kabobs House is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Prior to the pandemic, they would be open late at night and it'd still be extremely busy around 12 AM! I'm not sure if they're doing dine in at the moment as I've only ordered take out the past few times I'm here. Their skewers aren't the largest, but they are cheap and delicious (about a $1 each for the meat ones). My boyfriend and I got one of the hot & numbing spicy dry pots on a whim and I am so glad we did because it's become one of our favorite dishes. I would highly recommend anyone who likes skewers and spicy food to come try it! read more

My family stopped in here after my graduation ceremony upon suggestion from my brother's friend who came with us. I can't remember everything we ordered, but it was mostly kabobs. They were all so flavorful. The spices they use are delicious and pretty classic for Chinese skewers. I saw them through the window cooking the skewers on the charcoal grill. My favorite were the beef, sausage (the ones that aren't made from meat), and the eggplant (not a kabob). It was my first time trying a couple other things I wouldn't have tried otherwise (beef tendon, parts of the heart). The cucumbers and garlic were nice as a palate cleanser and my family really liked the fried Chinese pancake and cabbage. They were out of a couple items due to inventory; we got the pork dumplings instead of the ones with shrimp...you could tell the skins and filling were handmade. The only thing is, the kabobs get a bit pricey when you add them all up. read more

The food here was cheap with a good variety of choices. Truth be told, I wouldn't really wander into this place had it not been for the bf and his friends' rec. I see the word kabob in the name and I think of something like a weird fusion of Indian/Mediterranean and something not so pleasant. (I'm just weird) Surprisingly, this place was pretty packed as people came and left around 9 PM on a Friday. If you're somewhat hungry or starving, the amount and choices will satisfy you. Some of the kabob skewers were only $1 so you're getting a bargain snack. They also have noodle soups, hot pots, and other meat and seafood choices. read more

Great food ! Service could be better. Very hard to communicate with the server when you're not Chinese. But we managed. This was my first time so I definitely needed recommendations and he kinda helped. He recommended the lamb kabob. That was one of my top favs so that was a win. The only complaint is that there was soo little meat with each order and the wings were only 2 for 2.50!? However the overall check does make me smile. Not bad since they around $1-$7 each What you should try: Lamb kabob - tasty !! Beef New Orleans wings - seasoned well. Very good but only 2 wings per order Squid - kinda spicy big Sweet sausage - 3 ps sausage link. Very good. Don't try : Shrimp kabob. - only 2 dried up sticky shrimp. I feel like you have to eat the shells with this one. Not for me. Overall will return to try some hot pot or soup options with my skewers read more

This is definitely one of our favorite Chinese skewers places in town. Before COVID we used to go there or bring out-of-town friends there regularly. Since COVID started we barely came to the area and, based on other reviews, this place seemed to have temporarily closed and then reopened lately. We were recently in the area so I called for a to-go order. It took about an hour for my meal to be ready, but delicious as always! Our favorites are their pork fried pie 肉丝炒饼 and beef and lamb skewers. We will definitely order from here again sometime soon! read more

Came to kabobs house on a random weekday and immediately I could tell based on reviews that this is more of a night time spot, because I was the only customer there until I was leaving, where another guy showed up. Got the following kabobs: Beef - $1 Beef tenderloin ball - $1.50 Chicken - $1 QinQin sausage - $2 Pork rib - $2.50 Also got jasmine tea - $2.50 All of the kabobs minus the pork rib came in segmented pieces per each kabob. I generally enjoyed the flavor of all of the kabobs, although other kabob stores I've been to were a little better to me than what I tried here. My favorite was probably the beef tenderloin and least favorite was the pork rib, which came out dry. One thing about the kabob skewers were they all were metal, so I actually had to pay attention and be careful when I pulled meat off the skewer with my teeth. Not a ding to kabobs house. Just an FYI. Located in the shopping center, anchored by Kroger, kabobs is right next door to quickly, and parking is not a problem at all. There's also multiple exits onto either Steve Reynolds or old norcross road, so getting in and out isn't so bad either. Kabobs house is a good place to snack, definitely late at night, unless you like serenity and quiet with your meals (if so, come during the day because I was the only one there)! Customer service was fine, quick and in good spirits. Not a bad lunch, but you won't get full here....not without paying a lot to do so. Good snacks though. Check them out read more

This place doesn't have the recognition it needs. Though it isn't the prettiest place, and doesn't have the greatest choice of seating, and service is so-so.... their food is pretty darn good. my mom has a friend from whatever region this place serves food from and they taste spot on... which means this pretty much tastes like home. the kabobs we like to get is beef, lamb, enoki mushroom and pork belly, & squid. the beef and lamb one are like a dollar each, the pork belly is like 2.50 and the squid is a whole squid so it was like 5. we also absolutely LOOOOOVE the pan fried salted pie with veggies. sounds weird, but it's so goood. kabobs are grilled and seasoned with cumin and idk what other spices. but they're great. as a part of five we ordered 20 beef, 15 lamb, 1 squid, 4 pork belly mushroom & one salted pie. our total came out to fifty something and we were STUFFFFFFED. so it's honestly a cheap meal for a big group! read more

Surprisingly, their kabobs has nice flavors. I thought it was just like any other kabob places but their taste has exceeded my expectation. Kabob House serves not only kabobs, but also noodle soups, cold dishes like cucumber salads, pig ears, shredded potatoes, etc., rice dishes like Kung pao chicken, and couple different Dumplings. I ordered fish Tofu, QQ sausages, fish ball, and chicken wings kabobs. Fish tofus are the ones that are shaped square and is made of fish. They're not really tofus, I had people asking me before. 3 pieces per stick. QQ sausages are the mini sausages, 3 pieces in a stick. I think they're tastier than the regular sausages. Fish balls are pretty decent size here. Chicken wings are cooked nicely and tasty but needed a bit more flavor. All the sticks range from $1.50-$2.50. Therefore, these sticks can really add up. I also ordered Dumplings with pork, shrimp, and nida. I thought they were ok. Dumpling skins were too thick and fillings were just ok. Overall, go to kabob house for kabobs only! Server was nice, he split the bill for us. read more

I was hesitant to try this place after reading some of the reviews on here but after seeing that this was the only place open around 12am for an actual meal my friend and I decided to try it out. This place should definitely be rated higher than what it's at right now. From the outside and the inside this place does not look like much and I understand why people would just glance at it and make an assumption that the food here might not be worth it. There's not much to rave about the decor as it looks like any regular late night asian restaurant. The service here is good though. They had about 3 servers handling about 10 or so customers at 12am so when we got there we were attended to fairly quickly and they helped walk us through their menu and what the most popular kabobs were. The kabobs here are actually a lot better than what I was expecting for the price. Some of them were as cheap as $1.50 for about 4 pieces on one stick so we ordered about 15 kabobs. it took about 10min for all our kabobs to be ready and they were all good. Nothing outstanding but for about $1.50 for each one we were not gonna complain at all. My favorites were definitely the beef, shrimp, and pork belly with mushroom. They each have some small spice sprinkled on them so that after continuously eating one after the other your tongue begins to feel it. Kabobs house definitely blew my low expectations out the water. They are going to be added to my list of places to go for a super late night meal. Do not sleep on this place! read more

Came to this place coincidentally on our way from Michigan to Florida, since most of other Chinese restaurants around were closed on Tuesday. Anyways, I've been a huge fan of Chinese kabob almost all my life. So my expectation was relatively high. I ordered classic lamb kabob and it's fairly good. Tips for you, if it's your first time to try Chinese kabob, nothing conveys the taste better than the lamb kabob. It's not too dry nor mushy. It may lacks some flavor but once I added some cumin it's all good. Cumin is the key for Chinese kabob! I also ordered eggplant and chive and they were both excellent especially the eggplant. The string bean was a big disappointment. It's too tough to chew. Last but not the least, the spicy broth was just bad. It's basically not spicy at all. The ingredients lacked life in the soup with no flavor. In general, it's just an average kabob place which would die with no doubt if opened in china. I'd give the food 3 star, 1 star additional for having such a place in USA (it's a good place to hang out and grab some snack and beer after all). But I had to take off 1 star because the waiting was non acceptable. We were the only customers there yet we waited long time for our broth simply because the chef forgot our order. read more

Restaurant in Duluth that serves northern Chinese-style kabobs and also noodles and rice dishes. This place and the ramen shop next door seem to be popular late night hang-out places for the 20-30s Asian crowd. There was a half-hour wait on Friday night. We ended up going there for lunch on Saturday and it was not crowded at all. We ordered a bunch of lamb kakobs, and also some squid and lamb kidney kabobs. The lamb kabobs definitely tasted authentic. They don't have much meat on them, but they are $1 each so we ordered a whole bunch. After the kabobs, we ordered the beef offal claypot soup, and that was pretty good and made us pretty full. read more

Probably the best skewer you will find in town. The cut of meat is tender and juicy. Great variety of things to choose from. With each skewer at about a dollar. Sadly, I have to go back and change their ratings to two stars. They simply didn't do our orders right. When we entered, there was smell of smoke inside, an obvious sign of not ventilating well. We 2 ordered to-go orders. We waited 15 minutes, until the waiter told us that everything was ready except the fried octopus. Then after 5 minutes, he told us that it was his mistake, and the order was ready 5 minutes ago. If the service is forgiven considering only one guy covering the whole restaurant, then the food is not. My ordered braised meat over rice was, covered with soy sauce, over salty and carelessly prepared. The rice quality was not so good too. My colleague also ordered kabobs. Well, he complained they put 50% fat in those kabobs. I recommended Kabobs House for a take-out, but really regretted it after I finished the lunch. I was hoping to find my high school days of the dish "braised meat over rice", But what I found was high school chef doing the job. And unfortunately, he hasn't graduated yet. read more

Good for a late night snack or dinner with friends. It's next to Quickly II in the Kroger shopping center. I usually grab a tea from next door before heading over here; it's a perfect combination with kabobs. They offer beer on tap (not sure what kind) and some Japanese beers and bottled teas I believe. Kind of limited though, IMO. Some of the appetizer dishes are too salty and you can tell that they put MSG in. I can literally still see grains of the MSG on the dish. I ordered a dish that is just potato slices and it was too salty.. and oily.. and .. just.. I don't know. I've been here several times and I definitely prefer this over Beijing Kabobs on Buford Hwy. Surely they don't have the best kabobs in the world, but the best Atlanta has to offer honestly. There just isn't much of a selection and people come back because there is a lack of competition, simply no other better places to go. Now some recommendations: Beef Tendon Bacon Wrapped Enoki Mushroom Full Squid Sausages Fish Tofu Lamb (make sure to eat while hot) Recommend coming here if you have a craving for kabobs. read more

Racism. After my friend went to dine in with their family, a night before she recommended me this place to go. I decided to go the next day with my fiancé that is not asian. They refused the dine in. But they refused. I wanted to try it out for sure if they were refusing the business due to racism, i call the place saying if we could dine in. This place is the same owner as the quickly right next door... So I am assuming u can bring quickly in here( I havent done that yet lol, please try and let me know) I see some ppl complain about the services... I mean... There is only one server and he looks like he is 18 and he has to do everything... Come on guys... Give him a break~~ To me, it's really hard to rate this place.... I kinda like their kabab~ but not my wife... She doesn't like fat and they do have some amount of fat on the kabab... But the fat is the flavor of the meat tho!!!! Anyway... Do try their kabab stuff, they are pretty good! As for the dumplings or steam bond stuff like that....it's alright..I didn't like it...myself probably can do better than that.... We also order the spicy pot stuff, they fried the beef instead of grill to save time... Which the meat is kinda dry, but the flavor is good, so I guess I will still order the spicy pot stuff but not beef. They also have some noodles but we haven't got chance to try at this time. Over all it's fair...I guess I will still go back when I am not so hungry or if I order some bobble tea from quickly...and just pick up some kabab~~ read more

Warning: I love Lamb Kabobs so much! This review is biased. So the trend is... Most people went to Quickly and see this new place next door, and the reaction is "Yes, finally a Chinese Kabobs place on Pleasant Hill/Old Norcross!" I was glad like everyone else. Now I don't need to go to Kochi Maru and suffer from stomach ache the next day anymore. This restaurant opened in February 2015 and is owned by a Northeastern China native. I talked to him and ask if he is keeping his promise and open until 2am every day, and he said yes. I am going to visit him at 1am some day this April. Alright, here comes my biased food review. - Kabobs: I ordered Lamb, Lamb Kidney, Lamb Tendon, and Beef. I started with Lamb first of course. Oh my. Just like what I used to have in China. Meat was just right with right tenderness and right temperature. Next is Lamb Tendon, just right as well and chewy. Then Beef, but I had too much Lamb so I tasted the beef as lamb. Told you I am biased. Lamb Kidney was the highlight of the meal. At $3, a lot of you would be hesitant to order such a Fear Factor kabob, but if you like other organs, this Lamb Kidney will bomb you. Given that you eat it right away as the owner brings it to you, the crispy-outside juciy-inside kidney is just like eating the fish in the fish-and-chips basket. Spread some extra cumin and spicy powder on the kidney (and all other meats) to make it even more exotic. - Lamb Dumpings: According to the owner, all dumplings are handmade on premise. The 12-piece Lamb Dumpling dish is above standard. Dumplings are juicy, and the skin is at the right thickness. You can easily tell the difference between this and those Great Wall packaged ones. My tip for you is ask the owner for Black Vinegar. It's a Northern China thing. - Braised Pork Belly over Rice: At $10.95, this is the one dish you can forget and focus on the Kabobs, unless you are really craving for rice dishes. Although the Pork Belly tastes like home and good, the serving is not quite enough for a big-eater like me. I did say big-eater didn't I, so I will rather get 11 $1 Lamb Kabobs. Staffing could be a costly concern, as I only see the owner working by himself during busy hours on the weekend. And the owner is patiently waiting for the alcohol license to arrive. After that, watch this place flourish. read more

I came here with my best friend to satisfy our late night munchies. BUT FIRST THINGS FIRST ... I would rate the service here 5 stars easily. The guy who was hosting was very kind, easy going and my friend and I were both happy about the service. The food is where my poor rating comes in, some may think "Well, if the service was 5 stars, why only 2 stars total?" Let me elaborate ... We ordered their house fried rice, cauliflower, a pork rib kabob, two beef kabobs , a squid kabob and shrimp kabob. The house fried rice was awful, the rice was a tad mushy which I didn't mind but so were the meat and vegetables that were in it, it also carried such a peculiar taste that left ab awful after taste. We decided to not finish it, however, I did get it to go to allow my friend to taste it to solidfy that my best friend and I werent crazy. Crazy to believe that fried rice had a chemical like after taste. The kabobs we're very saddening. The beef was the most tolerable but lacked life. The flavor was very soft and due to me being so hungry I finished it. The best thing we ordered was the cauliflower that was cooked and seasoned very well. The pork ribs were absolutely unbearable as they were dry, rough and lacking a lot of flavor. TLDR customer service: 5 stars quality of food: 1 star read more

I've been here twice with friends for a late night meal. The menu has a good variety of options whether you are in the mood for noodles, grilled/hibachi meat, or hot pot. I've tried the chicken teriyaki and the spicy broth. Neither was great and the spicy broth was too salty. I'll probably be back since this seems to be where our group meets up after game nights, but I'm still in search of a tasty, go-to dish. read more

A new kabobs place has opened in Duluth and it's definitely worth a try! (Located right next door to quickly) This was my first time eating here. For kabobs me and my friend ordered the lamb, chicken, chicken gizzard, chicken heart, squid, and mushroom wrapped with pork belly. For actual dishes we got the chicken spicy pot and the hot pot with tofu. Kabobs: The lamb, chicken, and mushroom/pork belly sticks were my favorite out of the bunch (and probably what I would recommend for first timers). The squid one was my friends fav. All of the kabobs are cooked fresh to order over a coal grill thingy and seasoned with aromatic spices. They taste best hot! So if they get cold just ask and the chefs will happily reheat them for you :) Fyi: They all came with a little bit of spice seasoning on them. Dishes: The chicken spicy pot has chicken pieces that taste a bit like the popular nuggets sold next door at quickly except it's cooked with onions/peppers and other spices that adds more flavor. The chicken is really good but I could do without all the other stuff it's cooked with. I suppose that's where the flavor comes from though. I really enjoyed the hot pot with tofu though! The soup was perfect to counteract with the spice from the kabobs cause I'm kinda a wimp with spicy. The broth had a good flavor and it was really filling with all the tofu, cabbage and clear noodles inside. Oh, I also love the seaweed salad that comes as a side dish! Overall it was a great experience. I like that you can see the chefs cooking your food through a clear glass and the interior design of the restaurant is really cute and modern. It's good for groups as well. Plenty of parking. And the best part is they open until 2 AM everyday! read more
