We stood there waiting in an empty lobby before walking to the back to get the host attention away from his phone. The meat we opted for the $39.99 AYCE option and the meat quality just isn't the same. The galbi and short rib were so chewy we were certain they were not short rib or galbi. We can't even chew like half of them. The briskets were also very dry. The only tender option was the ribeye. With so many choices for great Korean bbq around, now we see why we were the only table at lunch hours on a Friday. Paying $180 for 4 just hurts when we can barely finish the 4 plates (one of each) that we called. The dipping sauces were also quite plain and not exciting as the other kbbq joint. The places definitely need an upgrade on the grills and by the grill vent like many newer kbbq places. But before that they better step up their meat offerings. Because for $39.99 e-gyu meats are much better in quality.

My mom visited Duluth and brought me gop chang combination Togo from here, which I very much enjoyed so I decided to come here and try it personally and I just was not impressed. Venue: hmm. I consider it more on the smaller sized venue. Sectioned off table for privacy which is common and great quality. Food: ordered beef brisket, pork belly and gopchang (Ala carte) combination options did not match what I wanted. Beef brisket was so tough and chewy. We all looked at each other questioning the quality of this beef. On the other hand, pork belly was exceptional. Great flavor. Was very content with gopchang too. Banchan was mediocre. Love the bean powder (the magic sauce) as a dry meat dip which adds savory sweet taste that enhances the flavor. Whoever created this is a culinary genius. Service: the young lady who sat us to the table was nice then a male server took over. I'm guessing maybe he had a bad day, or just don't want to be there. Not personable. He was grilling for us but our family especially my mother who was there eats speed of sloth, very slow eater. I asked him courteously "can I cook this myself because we are slow eaters". He said "no, I'm going to do it" and slabbed all the meat on the grill. As a Korean person who has been eating in Korean bbq restaurant and home for over 4 decade this was my first. Everyone on the table was speechless. We had to eat in speed and other meats burned. Whilst I love eating gopchang crispy which requires longer cooking, the server came and turned off the grill. Even with the all you can eat this was fun and delicious. We had the Unmarinated beef (twice), the bulgogi, the marinated pork neck and the spicy pork belly. Both of us felt like we were hungrier than we were, however we appreciate the options given with the AYCE.
