There's a bar along with both indoor and outdoor seating, and the overall atmosphere is casual and laid-back. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and gave us some great recommendations, which definitely added to the experience. We went with the three-meat sampler and chose the brisket, ribs, and jalapeño cheddar sausage, with tots and the Fox-a-Roni for our sides. The Fox-a-Roni--a combination of their Brunswick stew and mac & cheese--was absolutely delicious and easily one of the most memorable sides I've had at a BBQ restaurant. The brisket was honestly some of the best brisket I've ever had. It was tender, flavorful, and easily my favorite of the three meats. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was also really good, and while the ribs tasted great, ours were pretty small and didn't have a ton of meat on them. My only real complaint was the portioning of the sampler. We were told that as you choose a larger variety of meats, you essentially receive smaller portions of each. I understand the idea of a sampler, but we literally received one slice of brisket and two-three fairly small ribs, so the portion-to-variety concept didn't make a ton of sense to me. I would've preferred slightly more substantial portions, especially considering how good the brisket was! I also ordered a cocktail, but unfortunately it wasn't really for me. It came across very sweet and mostly juice, although I think that may have been more about the particular drink I chose than the bar itself. Overall, the food absolutely delivered. Between the incredible brisket, Fox-a-Roni, friendly service, and laid-back BBQ atmosphere, Fox Bros. was definitely worth the stop. We luckily found parking and were happy to get into an air conditioned space. The inside of Fox Bros is very much like a college bar. There are a bunch of memorabilia and different areas to sit. What we found pretty cool was how the cooks/chefs come out and serve your hot plate at your seat. That gesture is a nice touch to the presentation. Delicious food! Ordered the sausage and pimento cheese as an appetizer (more so just to try the pimento cheese since it's a staple) and it was good, but nothing to jump about. The main part however was great. The ribs can be eaten as is or add their signature BBQ sauce (I used mild and loved it) and the combo comes with 2 sides - would recommend both the mac n cheese and collard greens. The greens are slightly sweet and very vinegary. I also loved our waiter, Liam. He was funny and helpful, checking in every so often and apologizing when they were out of something (they did run out of cornbread for the day ~7pm). Every once in a while, I come across a business that I wish I could give more than five stars to in a review... and this spot is one of them. Went in on Valentine's Day night unexpected quite the wait but they ended up having an opening at the bar so we took it. The bartender was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and very patient and helpful with all my questions. They were out of pulled pork and chicken, but she told us the brisket was the best anyhow and the brisket definitely did not disappoint. I got the brisket sandwich with a side of potato salad and my dad got the barbecue brisket salad with a side of brisket chili. Everything was absolutely perfect. The taste was amazing, the texture was amazing, and we left there very full and happy. The restaurant itself is pretty fun with a good vibe and friendly and welcoming employees. The bathroom was in a little bit of disarray, but also it was Valentine's Day night so I'm sure they were slammed. Fox bros has some of the best barbecue I've had. Not everything was perfect but there is so much good food that I had that I can't complain. The ribs were phenomenal. The ribs were solid, sticking to the bone, yet also so tender and juicy with just the right amount of fat. I don't like barbecue sauce as most places make it too sweet but these just had a light layer that didn't overpower at all. I ended up adding some of the spicy barbecue sauce which was delicious. One of the main highlights were the wings. I tried both the dry rub and sauces wings and both were incredibly crispy on the outside with a moist inside. Some of my favorite wings I've had. My favorite item which came as a surprise was the chicken. Most times when I get chicken at a barbecue place it's just chicken, but here I had the smokiest juiciest chicken I've had before. What really makes it better was the white sauce that my server recommended me to use with it. I had never had anything like this before and it just added so much more flavor to an already great dish. The moist brisket was the most disappointing thing I had. Moist brisket is my favorite barbecue item and this was just not wet enough or flavorful enough. It just seemed dried out especially on one half of the piece. The fries weren't good, not crispy or salted enough. The fried okra was a nice side to have. With how much they are doing right, I'd love to come back to experience some more meats and more sides that I didn't get to try on my first outing here. read more

Location and Parking Located in borderline ATL/Decatur, parking is located in the small ( and always full) lot in front of the building, or on the side streets (read the signs carefully to avoid the boot). Venue and Atmosphere It's nothing fancy, just a bunch of rooms decorated with every artifact known to man, wooden furniture, pics of famous guests on the walls, and the small of delicious barbecue wafting throughout. They have a sizable patio as well. Service Service was prompt, courteous, and efficient. We walked in on a Monday and had to wait 20 mins for seating. On a weekend, be prepared to wait or just order takeout. Food and Beverages The combo platter is the cheat code for my entire life. Like seriously, who knew that a smoked sausage, smoked wings, and tender ribs could change your entire life. And what magical finger-licking ingredients are they putting in that sauce? We walked here from a downtown conference venue and it was worth every step, even when my companions started to doubt my navigation skills. I will go well out of my way for good BBQ and I figured if Guy Fieri liked it it was a safe bet.
