    Collard greens & Brunswick stew

Fox Bros is a staple BBQ spot in Atlanta. Their food is very tasty and the portions are large. I got the pulled pork plate which is $16 and comes with two sides. I couldn't even finish the whole meal. The food came out about 10 minutes after ordering so it was a super quick turnaround too. This location has a parking lot but it gets full quickly. Usually there's a long line on the weekends but during the week can be a little slower, albeit still busy. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.

Went to Fox Bros for lunch while a family outing and at first I was confused where the entrance was since the parking lot is to the side of the building. We luckily found parking and were happy to get into an air conditioned space. The inside of Fox Bros is very much like a college bar. There are a bunch of memorabilia and different areas to sit. What we found pretty cool was how the cooks/chefs come out and serve your hot plate at your seat. That gesture is a nice touch to the presentation. The ribs fell off the bone which of course is very nice. I enjoyed their mac& cheese and potato salad. I don't recall my exact order but within the menu they offer to mix and match the various dishes. My boyfriend had collard greens with his mix and match. It was our first time having collard greens & we were not disappointed!

My wings were fantastic. Smoked to perfection and drizzled with some amazing sauce. Fox Bros. Never disappoints. Meats and sides are beyond consistent. Be back soon.

Delicious food! Ordered the sausage and pimento cheese as an appetizer (more so just to try the pimento cheese since it's a staple) and it was good, but nothing to jump about. The main part however was great. The ribs can be eaten as is or add their signature BBQ sauce (I used mild and loved it) and the combo comes with 2 sides - would recommend both the mac n cheese and collard greens. The greens are slightly sweet and very vinegary. I also loved our waiter, Liam. He was funny and helpful, checking in every so often and apologizing when they were out of something (they did run out of cornbread for the day ~7pm). Vibes are great, you can sit inside or outside and look at the artwork on the walls (including famous visitors) or watch sports on the tvs.

If you are looking for a taste-of-the-south BBQ spot, you've come to the right place. This award winning BBQ is bar-none, one of the best around. They have a good selection of dishes and sides, all which are always hearty and delicious. The interior itself is exactly what I would picture of a traditional southern restaurant. With its whimsical country feel and decor, you are eating just as much with your eyes, as you are with your mouth. I tried the everything combo, with 4 meats and 2 sides, which included: brisket, wings, pulled pork and ribs. Along with fox-a-roni and potato salad. So delicious, tender and flavorful. This spot is also a 10/10! If you haven't been, you've need to try it out, and if you have been, stop by again!

Our visit to Fox Bros. was a 10/10! From the host to the server to the manager, everyone was so friendly and helpful! You can tell customer service is a priority for them. We were told a must-try item was the Foxy Melt. It was absolutely delicious!!! One of the best sandwiches I've had. My husband had the two meats plate with ribs, brisket, mac n cheese, and baked beans. All of the above were tasty, but the Foxy Melt stole the show!!!

Fox Bros. BBQ has a great atmosphere and is a fun spot to grab a meal, especially if you can sit outside. Our server was incredibly friendly and made the experience even better. The only knock is that the patio had quite a few flies, so be ready to eat if you choose outdoor seating. Not a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind. Overall, good food, great service, and a cool vibe. I'd definitely come back.

Beef Brisket Sandwich and Potato Salad (v)

Every once in a while, I come across a business that I wish I could give more than five stars to in a review... and this spot is one of them. Went in on Valentine's Day night unexpected quite the wait but they ended up having an opening at the bar so we took it. The bartender was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and very patient and helpful with all my questions. They were out of pulled pork and chicken, but she told us the brisket was the best anyhow and the brisket definitely did not disappoint. I got the brisket sandwich with a side of potato salad and my dad got the barbecue brisket salad with a side of brisket chili. Everything was absolutely perfect. The taste was amazing, the texture was amazing, and we left there very full and happy. The restaurant itself is pretty fun with a good vibe and friendly and welcoming employees. The bathroom was in a little bit of disarray, but also it was Valentine's Day night so I'm sure they were slammed. I'm not in Atlanta very often, but I can promise you that if I'm ever back, I will definitely make this one of my first stops.

    The big Tex

I got the big tex with a side of this mac and cheese mixed with their soup. I ended up taking it home because I was so full. Even a day later the brisket was still juicy reheated. I would come back again.

The food here is always amazing. The service is outstanding. Sometimes there is a wait. I get the full rack with two sides. Always great! Everything the have here is 10/10! I recommend for both locals and visitors to Atlanta. They may have gotten popular over the years but the quality has remained the same!

I like how creative the menu is here, which got me excited. The decor is nice and our server was knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly.. the fried pickles and the chicken fried ribs were good, but other than that, the food was WAYYY too salty. I had to send the chicken wings tossed in house dressing back for plain wings because the salt was overwhelming and not in a good way. The okra was salty. Tempered the salt down a bit with ranch dressing. And the the macaroni and cheese was not baked. its made kinda like velveeta shells but less flavorful.

A recommended spot for me to check out while visiting Atlanta. They were slammed which was a good sign. I sat at the bar which had immediate seating. Great atmosphere and decor inside. Staff were friendly especially the bartender who was also my server. Food came out in a flash after I ordered it. Got the brisket sandwich (chopped). It was delicious and well worth with the Lyft ride to get over here and back to my hotel. I rated 4 stars because I wasn't blown away by it, but I would certainly recommend checking it out if you haven't been here.

It's crazy that I'm just now trying Fox Bros BBQ for the first time. This place has always been talked about in such high regard, such fevor. I'm trying to figure out why. I ordered the spare ribs, pulled pork, and quarter kitchen. My girl ordered the pulled pork and the sausage. Everything was just subpar. The meat wasn't really flavored, wasn't super moist. The food tasted like it had been sitting out. Not sure if I'll go back anytime soon.

What is the link to order tamales tomorrow morning at 10:00 and what is the price per dozen?

Yes there was indoor seating the other day when I was there. They were however out of pork ribs.

What is the difference between sliced fatty and sliced thin for the beef brisket? Is it referring to the thickness of the slice or the amount of fat in the cuts?

It's the cut of the brisket, do you want it lean or tasty (my opinion) but they must call it fatty. Now you've got me wanting it and I was going to be good this week

Are dogs allowed on the patio?

Yes, if they are chicken fried.

    Do they offer sweet tea?

    Yes and it's delicious!

If there was a rub, it was subtle to the point of being almost untasteable. Quarter rack of Ribs: poor. Meaty, but far too tough, definitely not fall off the bone. Again lacking in flavor, and burnt in spots. Side of Mac n Cheese: easily the start of the show. Very flavorful, baked and not swimming in cheese sauce, possible notes of ritz crackers detected. I'd have eaten a main course sized portion, and imagine it could mix well with pulled pork or chopped brisket, should Matt's ever consider expanding their repertoire of meats. Side of potato salad: also very solid. Simple but nicely flavored, just creamy enough. Side of collards: fine but unremarkable. Bbq sauce: decent-ish, more tangy than sweet. Very thick. Packaging : Matt's really could improve here. The ribs and chicken, piled together between two slices of white bread, was wrapped in white paper which was in turn stuffed into a paper bag with the containers of sides. This was messy- yes, bbq is by nature a messy undertaking, but a clamshell container would've made the whole fiasco a lot easier to deal with. A fork and spoon were included, no knife... and no napkins. Really? For a paper wrapped oversauced pile of meat... not even a single napkin? I honestly would've been fine paying an extra buck or so for some better packaging and, IDK, maybe a wetnap. Overall, this bbq lover was unimpressed. Perhaps the rave reviews made my expectations too high. I've honestly had better bbq at multiple places in my relative bbq desert hometown of Boston. I was hoping for a real treat during my business trip to Atlanta; instead, I'm yearning for the joint near my suburban New England home...

Hotel that proudly…read moreadvertises a "hot breakfast" consisting of powdered eggs, coffee that tastes vaguely of burnt hazelnuts, and general disappointment. This particular morning in Atlanta was no different. As I pushed uninspired scrambled eggs around my plate I did what any food-obsessed traveler does: I opened the Michelin Guide. Surely Atlanta had something worth driving for before the afternoon meetings began. The city's Michelin stars leaned heavily toward pristine sushi counters where lunch could easily become a three-hour exercise in restraint and expense. Not today. Instead, a Bib Gourmand caught my eye. Heirloom Market BBQ. The address looked odd. The photos looked even stranger. Was Michelin seriously recommending what appeared to be a convenience store? Naturally, I was intrigued. The closer I looked, the less it resembled your grandfather's barbecue joint. Yes, there was brisket and pork. But there was also kimchi. Pickled vegetables. Gochujang. Color. Acid. Freshness. Suddenly the idea of barbecue for lunch didn't feel like signing up for an afternoon food coma. By 11:30, I was standing in line beside construction workers, office employees, and locals who clearly knew something I didn't. I ordered the smoked, diced, and braised spicy pork topped with kimchi slaw and cucumber kimchi. Korean barbecue sauce arrived on the side. For good measure, I added the green tomato kimchi--a mix of sweet and spicy pickled green tomatoes, jalapeños, and radishes. The pork was everything good barbecue should be. Tender without falling apart. Smoky without becoming bitter. Moist without relying on sauce. Deeply satisfying in that primitive way smoked meat always seems to be. The green tomato kimchi was extraordinary. Bright, crunchy, layered with acidity, sweetness, and just enough jalapeño heat to keep your attention. Every bite reset your palate before the next forkful of pork. It's the kind of side dish that refuses to stay a side dish. The Korean barbecue sauce deserves its own paragraph. Gochujang led the charge, backed by enough vinegar to cut through the richness and enough heat to remind you someone in the kitchen enjoys having fun. Against all odds, I managed to finish lunch without wearing any of it on my green Oxford shirt. A personal victory. Heirloom Market isn't polished. Service is efficient rather than memorable. You order, you eat, you leave. That's the point. What lingers isn't the hospitality. It's the confidence. This kitchen knows exactly what it wants to be. Southern barbecue filtered through Korean flavors isn't a gimmick here--it's the language they speak fluently. The entire meal reminded me of La Barbecue in Austin, another place where smoke is only part of the conversation. Michelin eventually rewarded La Barbecue with a star. Heirloom may still wear the Bib Gourmand designation, but when it comes to flavor, it's operating in the same league. Will I return? Without hesitation. Sometimes the best meal in town isn't hidden behind velvet curtains or reservation apps. Sometimes it's tucked inside what looks like an old convenience store, quietly reminding everyone that extraordinary food rarely cares about appearances.
