TLDR: Amazing value AYCE, excellent sides, excellent short rib, fantastic service. New top kbbq place? We decided to come here with a group of 10 to see what the hype was about. We decided to try the AYCE because it was only 40, which is pretty good value these days. In comparison the sets were all quite pricy. The AYCE was fairly limited with just brisket, pork belly, various pork shoulder, and bulgogi. Meats were all pretty good, brisket was a little chewy but still quite good. Pork belly was thin and our server JP cooked it very well. Bulgogi was really tender and marinated well, much better than other AYCE bulgogi. We decided to also get à la carte marinated short rib that was really really good. Incredibly tender and flavorful. After trying the short rib I really want to get a set next time, this place has potential to upstage 678 and Kang's kitchen in my mind. The banchan was also fantastic: the japchae actually tasted fresh and well seasoned with chewy noodles that didn't fall apart. The AYCE came with corn cheese that was less cheese/mayo forward so it didn't get too heavy. Kimchi was pretty fresh and tasted house made. The AYCE also came with unlimited steamed egg and soup, and the soup was fantastic. Super well seasoned with a nice kick. Probably the best side dishes I've had at a kbbq place for AYCE. They also give you melona after the meal! Their ventilation was also really good, it sucked up most of the smoke without reducing the heat of the charcoal so the food still cooked well A special shoutout to our server/griller JP who provided insanely good service. Please give this man a raise he was running around the whole time and getting us new side dishes without us even asking. Best service I've had at a kbbq place. Will definitely return to try the sets. read more

Believe the high Yelp score, this place is awesome. It's only been open for about a year and doesn't have a name that is talked about a lot like Chubby Cattle, yet. We came in as a party of 6 for a graduation dinner. Andy was our server and was amazing. He was attentive, personable, and cooked our meat perfectly. Everything was delicious. I don't eat Korean BBQ often, but some of my party are KBBQ veterans. One of us is from the Los Angeles area. One thing that I love about Korean BBQ places here is many have grills that use actual charcoal, not a gas grill. The ventilation system here is the best I've seen. We left without the smell of the dinner on our clothes. The bon chon offerings were generous and a multitude of delicious dishes. An amazing place for charcoal grilled Korean food. My wife and I went to enjoy our first Korean food when we arrived in Atlanta. We had a great experience at another charcoal Korean BBQ and decided to try this place out. Our waiter JP was amazing, he had a bad experience earlier with another customer but that did not stop him from making it a great experience for us. The food was delicious and so much banchan. The steamed egg with cheese and the soup was delicious and the sides were great accompaniment for the meat. My only sad thought was that the pork belly was sliced thin and not the thick pork belly you normally see at Korean BBQ. Other than that, we had a wonderful time and will go there again when we are in Atlanta. read more

10/10 recommend! Love the options for all you can eat Korean bbq here. The team actually does the cooking of the meats for you and once each meat is cooked they place in a bowl and start on the next. Excellent quality in the meats. A huge array of sides. The only call out would be that there are only a few beef and chicken options and their menu has more pork options for bbq. This is a very high quality way of eating kbbq! I have a hard time with all you can eats now but if you are willing to pay extra for quality then I would recommend this place. They cook their meat on charcoal instead of gas and the meat just cooks right. The flavors are rich and with that and all the sides, I was full as if I had AYCE. First time trying Charkor Guys after hearing so many people rave about it. We didn't want to smell like KBBQ so we plan to try their $9.99 lunch special that had been posted online, but when we arrived, we were only given the regular lunch menu and told the special wasn't available! That was a little disappointing, especially since someone had posted about it the same day we tried. That said, the $9.99 menu was pretty limited, so it wasn't something I was super interested in anyway. I ordered the bibimbap topped with beef tartare. I always love beef tartare, usually served with crunchy pear slices, but here it came topped with a raw egg yolk instead. The yolk was thick and creamy and added a really nice buttery richness to the dish. I think the bibimbap would've been perfect with just a bit more sesame oil. Hubby ordered the galbitang. They had to make a fresh batch since they were out of short ribs, so we waited about 20 minutes. The soup arrived piping hot with two bone-in short ribs. Unfortunately, it tasted a bit salty--probably because they were rushing. We'll likely come back to try their AYCE BBQ next time. Hopefully that lives up to the hype people have been talking about. read more

Solid charcoal Kbbq and sides. We had the woomakase (beef), which also included corn cheese, egg soufflé, and soybean soup. While this says it's meant for 1 person, could def be split by 2. We also got the spicy pork belly just to try some pork (had to to go most of those left overs just since it was a decent amount of food). They also gave us some beef tenderloin to try for free. The salad has a strawberry flavored dressing, which was unique. Service was great- we didn't even grill any of our own meat. We got the beef combo for dinner. It does say for one person but it was a lot of meat! It came with lots of side dishes which I enjoyed. Came with the soybean soup, cheese corn and eggs as well. Charkor Guys is a really high quality KBBQ restaurant offering a la carte, AYCE, and lunch/dinner specials. It is clean, spacious, and modern inside and the servers are very attentive. There is also a cute photobooth at the front to take pictures! We got AYCE which came with a ginormous variety of banchan. There was Egg Soufflé, Corn Cheese, Tteokbokki, Korean Pancake, and more. The Egg Soufflé was very thick and filling. It had a garlicky flavor and cheese on top which made it extra savory. The Corn Cheese was also pretty good! I thought that their banchan, such as the kimchi and macaroni salad, was fantastic. It also came with these potato fries, a soup, and tteokbokki (too sweet in my opinion), which is unlike other KBBQ restaurants. The Prime Beef Brisket was good, but their Pork Belly was way too thin. It seemed like a thin pork belly (which was an option on the menu... but I cannot imagine how thin that is compared to the regular pork belly we got) and so it was not as meaty or fatty as I wanted it to taste like when it was done cooking (too crispy). We were also given a Melona or Yakult at the end of our meal which was lovely. Overall, I think Charkor Guys excels in the banchan department! The meats for AYCE were average in my opinion. It is a bit on the pricier side compared to other KBBQ restaurants, but definitely a place to check out at least once if you are in the area! read more

I've been to this newly opened restaurant twice already and can't tell you how good it is! The quality of the meat and all the side dishes were outstanding. The space is clean, modern, and very comfortable, and the service was absolutely impeccable. We went with a large group, and unlike most Korean BBQ spots, they can easily accommodate anywhere from a party of one to a party of 15+. That alone makes it such a great find. I've been here twice in the last month or two now and I love it! They have so many options, but I usually get the AYCE option. It looks like a limited menu with the AYCE, but they make up for it with all the different sides that come with the AYCE. They bring japchae, spicy rice cakes, corn cheese, steamed egg, soup, and kim chi among other little sides. The servers are always attentive and excellent and they always play some good music. I'll start with the fact that I've been coming here a few (okay, maybe more than a few) times since their soft opening a few months back. My partner and I love to try new places together so when Charkor Guys came about. This review will be a sum up of my all my visits. Setting / Service: I did not expect this place to be so huge when I had looked at it from the parking lot. It was surprisingly spacious and the lighting from both the large windows / overhead were very welcoming. The staff extended the welcoming atmosphere. Service was keen and top notch. I would always have a different waiter, but the level of professionalism was always top tier. Food: The food is simply amazing. The meats are definitely high quality, and they are treated as such whenever the server cooks them. I had ordered the platters and AYCE on different occasions and I'd advise that you cannot go wrong with either. Overall: I know that sum up of several visits is actually lacking, but it's because Charkor Guys is simply doing it right. I have been here twice with my family. The restaurant has everything you want in a k bbq restaurant. It's clean and mostly smoke free. I don't have to worry about developing emphysema! The vents are right above the food and so most of the smoke is cleared. The service is great. Fast and responsive. Often getting you water and such without even mentioning it. Food is great and seems fresh. The egg soufflé is awesome. The cheesy top on the eggs is great. A meal in itself. The eating space is also much larger than what you expect from the store front. Ryan was amazing.. This is probably the best korean BBQ spot i've been to. Their sides are SOOO much better, and many more choices. They separately cook the corn and eggs in the kitchen so it doesn't burn in the fire like other places. The water was cold and fresh, didn't taste like sink water like other places. The place was CLEAN, and my server made me and my husband feel very welcomed and earned every cent of his tip. Really solid new Korean BBQ spot. We went during their soft opening and we were extremely impressed with the quality of the food and the service. This place has some of the best sides for a Korean BBQ restaurant. They are not AYCE and they have platter servings that you order. Me and my husband went with the Woomakase which is actually only a 1 person serving size. I wish they had a platter for 2 people because 1 person serving was barely enough and a 3-4 person platter would be too much. All platters come with the cheesy egg souffle, corn cheese, and soup which was a nice addition. The beef quality was very good, although we only ended up loving 2/5 cuts. Service was extremely attentive and nice. The grill set up is good because you actually don't smell like BBQ after eating here. Downside is since it has a good vacuum, I feel like I couldn't really taste the smoky flavor of the charcoal grill as much. Price point is a little bit high, as it is almost equivalent to going to another good quality AYCE place. read more
