One thing on the menu I *had* to try was their Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. I'm very familiar with true Nashville hot, especially after having Prince's Hot Chicken in Nashville, so I had a solid benchmark. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The food was excellent. We ordered over the phone and the gentleman was very polite and patient and thorough. It's in a gas station and the gas station owner does not mind if you park at a gas pump which you may have to because the parking lot is very crowded because of the barbecue place inside the gas station. We got baby back ribs, which were delicious. We also got a Memphis pulled pork sandwich, which has coleslaw and pork on it. I got a side of coleslaw and peach cobbler. The ribs were juicy as was pork on the sandwich. The coleslaw was very fresh, the sauces were delicious. I didn't really love the peach cobbler because I love it to be more about the peaches than the cobbler part but we will be back and I'm gonna try the blackberry cobbler next time. read more

I had to put them in the microwave to warm them up. The restaurant is inside a gas station. Even though the food was good I think $19.06 is kind of expensive for gas station food. I only gave them 3 stars because of the cold food, no eating utensils, and the price for gas station food. I placed a takeout order for a brisket plate with two sides (collard greens and potato salad). I was also given a sample of the brisket end, which is my favorite part. The food was satisfying, although I was given blackberry cobbler instead of collards. Some would say I won in that instance, and I wouldn't disagree. I ordered my meal from the Tipsy Pig via UberEats. I ordered the two meats with two sides meal which comes with two slices of bread, not Texas toast. I also ordered Brunswick stew and Blackberry cobbler. The ribs were very tender, just tasted baked, no smokiness. The collard greens were ok, the mac n cheese needs some work. It needed more cheese, more salt, and needed to be baked. The Brunswick stew was watery and just tasted like they soaked it in chicken broth. I am going to try to salvage it by adding tomato sauce. On UberEats, the Blackberry cobbler was $8 for a bowl. They sent it in a tiny container which would only be worth half that price if not less. The worse part after the price is that it doesn't taste good at all. I really wish I could get a full refund on that out of everything. I feel robbed with it and the Brunswick stew. The total came out to over $40 without the added fees and tip. I won't be ordering again. I am on a journey for really good barbecue and unfortunately this place doesn't make the cut. read more

It's another hole-in-the wall kind of place that you could easily miss if you blinked, located inside of a gas station convenience store. Meanwhile, you can grab some drinks or other items while you're there. I wasn't greeted immediately, although I know the workers saw me. I think they were just busy prepping things, but when they did finally acknowledge me they were friendly enough. Everything was packed with care and seemed fresh. We ordered a pound of brisket, macaroni and cheese, collards, potato salad, baked beans, and fries. We also requested a variety of their sauces to sample including a mild sweeter one, a slightly spicier one, and a vinegar based one too. All of the food was pretty tasty and flavorful. I enjoyed the three different kinds of sauces and thought they complemented the meat well. My only complaint was that we didn't order more brisket! Lol. We heard a lot of good things about this place and unfortunately it didn't turn out to be true. We ordered the pulled pork sandwiches with sides and a drink. Both of the pulled pork sandwiches were so dry they were all but impossible to eat. It's pretty difficult to make dry pulled pork due to the natural fat and collagen in it but somehow they managed it. We ended up taking it home and I gave it away to someone who said they wanted it despite the dryness. They smothered it in BBQ sauce and ate it. At least someone got something out of it. The "restaurant" is in a gas station and there's a weird ordering/buying set-up but it's not really difficult, just weird. There are a couple of rickety tables and chairs in there that are usable but you better off eating in your car or taking it home if you order from here if you want more comfort. Honestly, from our experience, there's no way I would recommend this place. It's way too expensive for the poor quality BBQ. Maybe they were having a bad day but there's no excuse for serving such dry pork jerky-ish pulled pork to your customers.
