Best BBQ I've had in GA and I've eaten at many from Saint Mary's to Blairsville. Brunswick stew was excellent, loaded with pork, and balance of flavors was outstanding. The pulled pork sandwich was a pulled pork sandwich. Good by GA standards, meat was tender and moist, but, admittedly, I'm partial to Eastern North Carolina whole hog chopped pork sandwiches. That said...... the pork taco was to die for! My new favorite way to eat pulled pork in GA. I can't wait to get back and try the fried ribs, brisket, nacho's Mac and cheese...... it's going to take a few trips to work through every on the menu I want to try, including the peanut butter pie! And icing on the cake is the exceptional staff! Everyone was just so welcoming and friendly it puts the experience over the top. Did I mention the price? Most reasonable prices I've seen in a long time anywhere. After a lot of searching, I've found my regular go-to BBQ restaurant and well worth the short drive from Dacula. The restaurant has a rustic charm to it, situated in an old house nestled in trees off the highway such that you feel as though you're away from the city. This place is easy to miss if you aren't looking closely for the sign, because you cannot see the restaurant from Highway 20, even in winter when the leaves are off the trees. Their barbecue is quite good, although the cuts of brisket seemed excessively fatty compared to briskets we've had at other barbecue places--about 20-25%. My son loved the pulled pork the best, and next time I will try it instead of brisket, because it did look very tasty and well made. Their original sauce tasted the best to me, on the brisket, anyway. Their Mac and cheese was truly exceptional. A very creamy and tasty mix of cheeses that was better than perhaps any Mac and cheese dish I've ever had. Definitely something to try on your next visit. Cost for dinner averages $20-25 per person, which I supposed is now the norm for most restaurants, even though it seems a little high to me. Service is good though not exceptional. We visited at around 8pm on a Saturday night, which is close to their 9pm closing time. I'll give another visit or two before I make a more informed opinion. Ultimately our server did bring our food and drinks and kept our glasses full, which is what they're supposed to do. read more

We've been trying a lot of BBQ in the Atlanta area. This one is the one. The is the one if you are looking for good Texas brisket. Perfectly cooked with good bark and just enough brisket fat to keep it juicy. The red beans and rice had more chorizo and pork than some places BBQ plates! We'll definitely be back to try some of the other meats on the menu. Great wait staff took care of us even though they were packed with Black Friday crowds trying to escape leftovers. read more

BBQ platter was nice. Brisket, ribs and chicken were my picks. Coleslaw and sweet potato fries for the sides. Above average compared to some of my other bbq picks around town. I took food to go. All was good on the transaction and I picked up within ten minutes of closing. Once I try again, I can give details on the food as delivered table-side. Service was excellent but we did not like the barbecue or Brunswick stew. We left our food behind.The stew was so hot with pepper it was not edible. I went to foggy bottom for the first time yesterday to pick up a bbq chicken sandwich. It was absolutely the best bbq chicken sandwich I ever had. And the coleslaw was great too. I cannot believe I never heard of this place before. I almost didn't want to write this review because I don't want too many people knowing about it and it get too popular and busy lol. I decided to try this establishment based on a word of mouth recommendation. It's true, word of mouth is the best form of marketing/advertising. First, The system they used to place orders was fantastic - extremely user friendly. When I arrived at the establishment, food was ready for pick up with curbside delivery at the expected time plus the entire order was accurate - even the sauces! The location is nestled in a corner on a gravel lot, so if I didn't receive this recommendation, I would have been hesitant to try it but that would have been a huge mistake. The order was basically a sampling of some of, what I was told, their best items. I was not disappointed. It was all delicious! Wings, ribs, sweet potato fries, tacos and banana pudding - oh my!! The brisket tacos and mac & cheese is always a winner at Foggy Bottom BBQ. I have dined at the Loganville and Lawrenceville locations and it surprises me how consistent the food is. Based on rising food cost they are add a small surcharge which I fine totally acceptable. Good service, good food and fair prices is what we should all expect and I certainly got that tonight the Loganville location. read more

I'll be honest, as a vegetarian this wasn't the best decision for me. However, in my defense I was super hungry. LoL! Almost everything on the menu has meat in it so I was only able to partake in the Macaroni & Cheese and Fries. Both of which were awesome. The Sweet Tea is AMAZING as well. Probably the worst bbq I've ever had. The brisket and chicken were bone dry and flavorless. Coleslaw was nothing special and the red beans and rice were fine. I think BBQ, sushi, and dive bars are highly person choices. They click or they don't. Do I have your attention: every single person I encounter was kind, knowledgeable, helpful, gracious and honestly, like able. This isn't about the people. When I think of BBQ I go back to my roots. They were sopping in sauce and big and meaty. Momma always done it right, right? I took an order to go of a full slab of ribs. I found the dry and in all honesty just not to my liking. Both ends were dried out. Non of the bones were juicy. The sides were Mac n cheese and baked beans. I'm unlikely to recommend either to friends. But again BBQ is such a personal thing. Give them a try. I think I'll go back for brisket and sausage sometime. Tbh I have a few other places to try first. read more
