Very very decent. The service was great. They have different packages with different kinds of meat(s) as well, can't recall which this 1 was but i paid about $130+

Went to Cow Wow Korean BBQ for date night and it did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm and inviting. I truly appreciated our server. At most Korean BBQ spots, I find myself a little lost when it comes to ordering or figuring out all the side dishes, and sometimes when I ask questions, I get that "you should already know" look. Not here! She was so friendly, patient, and very informative. She broke down the menu, explained each side dish, and made sure we knew exactly what we were getting. It honestly made the whole experience way more enjoyable. The food itself was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked right at our table. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere, Cow Wow will definitely be seeing us again!

I visited on a Friday night, and the place was packed--which is always a great sign that the food is worth it. I ordered the "Group of Four Meats" platter, featuring brisket, short rib prepared three ways (marinated, fresh, and boneless), ribeye, and rib fingers. You can also swap the pork neck for extra brisket, and I went with that option. The sides were solid and came with the classics: kimchi, pickled Napa cabbage, a ginger-dressed salad, onions, mashed potatoes, pickled radish, corn cheese, and eggs. Now, onto the star of the show--the meats. Each cut was thoughtfully prepared, tender, and bursting with flavor. The subtle charcoal smokiness really elevated the experience. At $185 for four people, this platter is an excellent value for the quality and variety you get. Overall, I'd definitely come back again

Fantastic meal! I've been here before but this time we had 6 people (2 kids) so we got the combo for 4 which gives you more selection of meat. There was plenty. I love the egg they pour around meat which you can get more of. The meat is fresh and delicious, marinated or not. Everything was spot on. My new favorite Korean bbq!

Update: Hands down still the BEST Korean BBQ place I've found in my global travels! The food quality, the service and the vibe are all authentic NEXT LEVEL! And honestly still better than any Korean BBQ place I've ever been in Korea!

My siblings and I came here on a Saturday night to find them about half way full. We got seated right away by their kind host after finding easy parking in their lot. Between the three of us, we shared the combo for two which included eggs, salad, cream corn, and soy bean stew. Plus there's always the sides of onion, few types of daikon, kimchi, and green peppers with ssamjang. We also split the beef tartar which was the first time I've ever had it and I am absolutely in LOVE with it. Would 10/10 come back just for this for how fresh, sweet, and spicy it is! All the meats were cooked and seasoned well. Overall, I had a phenomenal experience with delicious food and top notch service. The ambience is super comfortable and reminiscent of the Korean establishments. I would love to come again and recommend others to check them out!

Delicious late night treat as open until 3am . . . so much better than American fast food. Deliciously fresh and unique.

I visited Cow Wow for my friend's birthday. I had never been to an al a carte KBBQ before so this was a first. A plus is that they are open until 3AM (as advertised out front) so if you need a late night meal it might be a place to go. We went on a Friday night and it was packed. I will say that once all of our food and drinks started coming out, the table was nowhere near big enough to fit everything. We were juggling plates and dishes around and it was still super cramped. We ordered the dinner for 4, which I believe was around $150ish. Unlike most KBBQ places, they cook for you here. The banchan (side dishes) provided were plentiful but I cannot say I was a huge fan of most of them. As someone who doesn't like food that is super spicy or fishy, that was most of the sides. I was disappointed because I usually find some japchae (glass noodles) or maybe tteokbokki (rice cakes) I can munch on but they didn't have that here. Cow Wow is known for their high quality meats and it shows. Most KBBQs I visit have good meat, but it is full of meat/tendons/etc. It can be difficult at times to chew through to the good meat. This place had very little fat on their cuts- it was mostly meat. However, I'm unsure if this is due to their quality or due to our waiter specifically saying "I cut off the fat before I cook." The combo we ordered came with brisket, boneless short rib, fresh short rib, marinated short rib, rib eye, pork neck and marinated rib finger. I will say a downside is that none of the meat is labeled. Thus, every time we got served I had to ask what we were eating. Eventually I got tired of asking each time so I just ate and tried to make a guess on what it was. Our waiter was great- he was super attentive and cooked everything to perfection. I will say that my favorite meats were the gabli (short ribs) and pork. Not saying that the other meat was bad but I cannot say it was my favorite. At least for the price, there was not a lot of food for me personally that I would come back for. I think if I had liked more of the sides that might make it worth it. However, after leaving my mouth was very dry, meaning the food was quite salty. If you have an issue with high blood pressure/excessive salt, do be aware as the meat is pre-marinated and you don't have much control over it. You may be able to request no marinade but I'm not sure. Overall it was a decent experience but I will say that it is quite pricey.

I dined here for my birthday and did not get celebratory service at all. Staff seemed like they did not want to be there. I did like that there was a private room for large parties and that an automatic gratuity was included. The food was decent but the banchan was unfamiliar to most of us, so we frequently asked about what each item was. There was no offer for drinks or even dessert. Dietary restrictions were assessed with a "that should be fine" rather than certainty. Take out boxes were handed to us shortly after some of my guests even arrived, which is indicative of staff wanting us to leave. Staff did nothing birthday related at all, so my party took it upon themselves to sing for me. Staff then closed our room barrier and stared us down afterward. Having worked in the service industry before, this was disappointing but not surprising.

We got the two person set and it came with a variety of side dishes, corn cheese, steamed eggs, and meat. The meat quality is great and our server did an amazing job cooking each piece perfectly and carefully cut off any burnt parts if any. Every piece of meat was tender, juicy, and well marinated. For the price though I would say it's a little bit high especially when I left feeling not full enough. But overall good

Cow Wow Korean BBQ is yet another outstanding Korean barbecue restaurant to open in Gwinnett County, in Suwanee. Simply put, it's worth the drive from many places in metro Atlanta. We came from Midtown which took just over 30 minutes in light traffic. For a few folks I know, this is their new favorite Korean barbecue joint in metro Atlanta. I've heard from multiple people - some Korean/Korean-American - that think Cow Wow currently has some of the best, if not *the* best, meat quality in Georgia. I agree with them, but it's also hard for me to say definitively because I've had so much great Korean barbecue in metro Atlanta over the years and many of those experiences have been spread apart, timewise. That said, the meat quality we experienced here was indeed superb and certainly among the best we've had in recent memory. In addition, service was incredible. It solidified the five-star rating for me. Like other Korean barbecue restaurants, the staff here took a tag-team approach to serving and cooking for us. They were friendly, super attentive, and had great attitudes. This crew appeared to genuinely enjoy working with one another which elevated the mood/environment. The server who cooked for us the most was a young Korean lady named Stephanie. She was amazing. She stayed on top of everything. I regularly see servers bounce around different Korean barbecue restaurants in Gwinnett and asked her if she's worked anywhere else. She hasn't. She considered working at the older and more established 678 and 9292 restaurants in Duluth, but chose Cow Wow due to proximity. She went above and beyond and we made sure to take care of her and her team in return. Stephanie's coworker/buddy, another young Korean lady, noticed my wife was wearing a white blouse. She brought my wife an apron to wear because she didn't want my wife's blouse to get dirty. In all my years of eating Korean barbecue, I've never seen that before. It was unexpected and really nice of that server to do. Finally, the other server who did a substantial amount of cooking for us was an older Chinese-Korean lady who spoke both Mandarin and Korean. She spoke Mandarin to my wife and our friend. She made sure to cook the meats at the right pace for me since I'm a slow eater. At some Korean barbecue restaurants, I've felt rushed. Not here and I appreciated that. Needless to say, service was A+. Cow Wow opened in March 2023 in the same strip as All That Korean BBQ (next door, opened February 2019) and the Suwanee location of BBQ Chicken (two doors down). This space used to be a CVS Pharmacy. The main difference between Cow Wow and All That is quality. Cow Wow doesn't serve unlimited all-you-can-eat (AYCE) Korean barbecue, All That does. Cow Wow is more expensive, but the high-quality meat is worth it. And despite the set-menu, a-la-carte-nature of Cow Wow, the three of us ended up leaving absolutely stuffed with lots of leftovers to take home. Leftovers from a Korean barbecue restaurant are rare for me. That's how much food we got. Cow Wow serves generous portions. During our visit, they offered five combos and 16 individual meat options. To give you an idea on pricing, a five-course combo for two cost $109.99 and a 10-course combo for six cost $299.99. Lunch specials, not necessarily Korean barbecue, are available Monday-Friday, 11:30am-2:30pm. We got the combo for four ($199.99) which came with: * Thinly Sliced Brisket * Boneless Short Rib * Fresh Short Rib * Marinated Short Rib * Rib Eye * Pork Neck * Marinated Rib Finger Every meat course was phenomenal with just the right amounts of marbling, seasoning, and/or marinade. Terrific flavors and textures. In general, succulent, rich, and tender. Banchan (side dishes) included salad, buchu kimchi (garlic chives kimchi), pickled radish and jalapeno, pink ssam mu slices (pickled daikon), fishcake, potato salad, fresh kimchi, and spicy pickled bean sprouts. Also included was egg cooked on the side of the grill (I love places that do this), corn cheese served sizzling on a skillet (bonus points for that), and steaming-hot doenjang-jjigae (fermented soybean paste stew, spicy). Condiments included sesame oil with salt and pepper and ssamjang (fermented soybean and red chili paste). We also got a bottle of Soon Hari Peach Soju ($14.99). While not bad, it tasted a bit mediciney. The dining rooms are spacious and outfitted with charcoal grills with adjustable hoods. Many places, like Breakers in Duluth and Ari in Johns Creek, have downdraft vents. Those are good, but not perfect. I think these adjustable hoods are even better. They directly suck up smoke from the grills. Clean grills were used for each meat course and grill types differed depending on the meat (as it should be). I will say Cow Wow doesn't have the "nicest" ambiance among the stiff local competition, but it's still pretty solid and functional. They have a couple private rooms in the back. Parties of six or more can book via OpenTable.

This has got to be my favorite KBBQ spot in the metro Atlanta area. The fact that it's 10 minutes from my parents' house is a big plus! The meat is so fresh and tasty (they showcase it behind glass counters), and the servers cook the meat for you. I also liked the intensity and spiciness of the sides/banchan they put out. A lot of the kpop that played was from the mid to late 2010s which was pretty nostalgic to me. I'd advise if you get the combo for 2, it very comfortably feeds/stuffs 3 people. More than worth it to me. It's about the same price as AYCE if you split that among 3 people. Yummy food, great service, nice and clean facilities. What more can you ask for?

I tried out this KBBQ restaurant in Suwannee with friends last Saturday for dinner. Walked in around 6:30 pm and got a table for four without making reservations. It was pretty packed, but we got lucky and didn't have to wait. We ordered a combo serving for four which comes with steam eggs and corn cheese. Very good portion size and plenty of tasty side dishes. We got a refill of the steam eggs and several of the other side dishes. Service was pretty good with several servers grilling the meat. Ice cold soju and a couple bottles of Terra to complete our delicious meal.

You are greeted with a nice warm basket of muffins. They are a little cheesy and remind me of a mix of corn bread and regular muffins. We ordered the brisket and spare ribs. Brisket has an option of fatty marbled or lean - we got fatty but it was more a layer of fat than a nice marbling. The meat was a bit tough but not inedible. I do wish it was more marbled and flavorful. It definitely needed the bbq sauce. The spare ribs were quite good. They were big and meaty with different sections of fatty and chewier lean on each rib. The marinade they use for cooking is notably on the sweeter side. The ribs did not need extra bbq sauce in my opinion. The sides were just okay to me: Mac n cheese - nice and creamy but the real tasty cheese flavor was only in the melty cheese globs. Collard greens - good flavor but definitely on the salty side. Lots of meat in this side. Baked beans - your average sweet baked beans, tasty! Side salad - upgrade for $2 - portion was reasonable for price. I was disappointed by the dressing i selected, the vinaigrette. It was mostly oil and little vinegar leading to a very light and unnoticeable flavor. I added more to get more flavor and ultimately ended up with oily leaves... Bonus points for the nugget ice! My favorite :)

Apparently, there are locations all the way to Michigan and Wisconsin even. Ordered curbside pickup online just to see if they really would honor it, fully expecting to go in, since so much of that has stopped since the height of COVID. We decided to try the Motherload sampler with a variety of sides. When we got there and checked in via text, we were surprised that they actually were going to come outside to deliver it (but we met them at the door in any case). Good to know for next time. Overall, it was a pretty satisfying meal. We tried as many sides as we could get with our meal. All of them were pretty great. I'm partial to my own homemade mac and cheese and greens, but they weren't bad. As far as the meats go, I think I liked the brisket, turkey breast, and sausage best. The ribs could have been more tender but were slightly better than the ones I got from Cozy Coop this year. I still haven't found a rib place that really sticks with me in my immediate area, but there are many more to try of course! I just like that turkey breast was even an option for the sampler. It was seasoned well and not dry also. I joined the rewards program, so I received a discount that I used up front. I would definitely like to try some of their sandwiches with housemade pastrami, nachos, and some more of the meats and sides. It seems to be a good, solid place for dinner or lunch with a lot of options for all. I'll be back.

The dining area looked clean and well-kept, and the hostess/cashier was genuinely friendly--she took the time to walk us through the menu, drinks, sauces, and even the different pickles, which I appreciated. We ordered the brisket, ribs, mac & cheese, green beans, two sauces (both free), house and spicy pickles (also free), and a Banana Cream Soda. 2 Slices of Brisket - $9 (3.5/5): The brisket was solid overall--tender with a nice, juicy interior and a lightly smoky aroma that came through in each bite. It wasn't dry at all, which is always a win, though it could've had a bit more depth in flavor on its own. That said, it really came alive when paired with the spicy sauce, which added a bold, tangy kick that elevated the meat nicely. 2 Pork Spare Ribs - $7 (4/5): These were definitely a highlight. The ribs were beautifully seasoned with a savory, slightly sweet rub that formed a flavorful crust on the outside. The meat was incredibly tender--so much so that it fell clean off the bone with just a fork, no effort needed. Juicy, rich, and super satisfying, especially with the spicy sauce adding an extra layer of heat and tang. Mac & Cheese - $4.50 (4/5): Very impressive side. The spiral noodles were cooked perfectly--tender but still holding their shape, not mushy at all. What stood out most was the texture: there was a subtle crunch on top, possibly from a light breadcrumb or rice-based topping, which added a nice contrast. The cheese sauce was creamy, rich, and coated every curve of the spirals, so each bite had these little pockets of cheesy goodness that almost "popped" with flavor. The sprinkle of green onions on top added a fresh, slightly sharp brightness that cut through the richness and made the dish feel surprisingly refreshing. Green Beans - $4.50 (3.5/5): These had a great bite to them--crisp-tender with a fresh, vibrant texture. The seasoning was flavorful with a savory base, but what surprised me most was the subtle heat that built up as you ate more. It wasn't overpowering, just a nice, unexpected kick that made them more interesting than your typical side. House Pickles (free) - 2/5: These were very crunchy and had a sharp, vinegary tang that leaned heavily on the sour side. While they were fresh and crisp, the flavor felt a bit one-dimensional and overly acidic for my taste. Spicy Pickles (free) - 4/5: Much better balance here. Still nice and crunchy with that same sour backbone, but the added heat gave them a bold, zesty edge that made them way more enjoyable. The spice lingered just enough to keep you reaching for another. Banana Cream Soda - $2 (2.5/5): This was light, fizzy, and refreshing with a smooth, slightly creamy mouthfeel. The banana flavor was present but very subtle--more of a faint, artificial sweetness than a rich, ripe banana taste. It leaned more toward a mellow vanilla-cream soda vibe with just a hint of banana in the background. Not bad, just a bit underwhelming if you're expecting a bold, dessert-like banana flavor. Overall, a solid BBQ spot with friendly service and some standout items--especially the ribs and mac & cheese. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the mood for a laid-back, no-frills lunch.

Over the holidays, I tried out 985 BBQ on a Saturday around lunch time. 985 BBQ overtook an old…read moreGolden Corral location so the interior is very open and spacious. We were happy to find out that the lunch menu applies on the weekends too! $24.99 for lunch and $29.99 for dinner. You can opt for the dinner menu if you want more beef options. Since it was our first visit, we stuck with the lunch and it was more than enough for us. Some of the meats we ordered: - Beef Brisket - Beef Bulgogi - Spicy Beef Bulgogi - Pork Belly - Spicy Pork Belly I enjoyed the beef brisket and pork belly the most. Banchan offered are japchae, corn cheese, kimchi, sesame broccoli, pickled radishes, egg soufflé and rice. Japchae, sesame broccoli and egg soufflé was tasty. I wasn't a fan of the corn cheese as it came out in these little aluminum cups with cheese on top and it's left on the grill until the cheese melts. The service is good. Beef and pork combo for four, lots of beer and soju, and extra side dishes. The side dishes were pretty tasty, much better than the meat... Service was not bad
