Was jonesing for some ribs so we decided to check out Jim 'N Nicks. Walking in, the smell of Bbq wafted through the air and I was pretty excited. That feeling was short lived because once I received my order I was disappointed with the quality of the food. My spareribs were undercooked, gelatinous and flavorless. The sides weren't any better. The only decent thing we ate were their cheddar biscuits. If you're looking for a top notch bbq place, Jim 'N Nicks is not for you.

Food was very good and well seasoned. The portions were great and plenty for taking home extras. The only bad thing was that the waitstaff was not very prompt or attentive. At the end of the meal she even had the audacity to keep what she thought was "her change" for the tip. Never in my life have I had that happen! The dinning area was very dark and almost too dark to read and find the menus.

We came here for Al-Hijra lunch. Hostess seated us quickly. The ambiance for the chain is low key with people from different walks of life. The temperature was set to cold but comfy on a hot day. We got spare ribs which were fanifico! Meaty and flavorful these would make Myron Mixon proud if he served them at his place. The baked beans were good albeit a tad too much brown sugar in them. The fries were also good. It had been a long time since we had been here but I must say they still offer a lot of quality "Q" for the buck!

Mr. Jim's Deluxe Combo with Smoked Chicken and Turkey Breast. The beans were pretty good, but the Slow-Cooked Collards were next level.

Mmmmmm so good! Alex was so awesome in her service even though she was new and busy. All of the food was so good and the sweet as well as the white sauces both complemented the meat tremendously.

Vietnamese food. Invariably more than just the quintessential pho. Probably one of the most…read moreunderrated categories of ethnic dishes and all we know of is pho. The more adventurous eaters will go for the bun bo hue because there is a lot more complexity to it. And then you have the banh mi. A marriage of traditional Viet flavors mingled w/ the French flair of the baguette but with Be Banh Mi, there is an additional twist that I think is just ingenious. First off, you will fight for parking so bite the bullet and walk Second the interior. One of the most spacious, under used spaces ever to be used for a sit down/take out banh mi joint. They seat roughly 20 people while the middle section is primarily used to start a line queue. The service. It's the self-service kiosk where you order and they call you by your receipt number so there's no bussing or wait staff. Now for the for banh mi. It's not that it's anything necessarily special. It's a banh mi. Your proto-typical Vietnamese ingredients from grilled pork (what I got!!!) to BBQ pork to crispy pork belly and the works! The ingredients are one in same with any place that specializes in banh mis. What sets this place apart is that they offer the stick version of the traditional banh mi. Yes!!!! The stick version. Banh mi is traditionally served in a toasted buttered French baguette loaf that acts like a submarine sandwich open hot dog bun style then all the ingredients are shoved in the opening then wrapped up for you to open and enjoy. The stick version however is a long, thin, yet equally buttery, flaky, soft bun but it's almost a foot long and thin but they don't skimp on the flavors of the banh mi! That's what makes this place so interesting and worth visiting time and time again. Plus the price is so affordable for a banh mi. The traditional banh mi's run you at $6 per sandwich. The stick version runs you at $5. Between the two versions, you're looking at roughly a $12-$14 with tax. It's such a fantastic deal for something as filling as banh mi can be and between the two versions of banh mi, you will be satisfied! Highly recommend for a good banh mi!

You have plenty of parking In The plaza but it can get busy due to other fun places in the area. When you walk in it is very spacious with some seating but not a lot. You can either order at the self service kiosk or through an employee. You have the option of fully customizing your sandwich which is super helpful! I ordered a glazed chicken banh mi and the wait was little to none! They give it to you wrapped up in a bag. The flavor was incredible and very delicious. So much flavor, bread wasn't burnt and the portions were great. The price was super reasonable. I left wanting another one! This is by far my new favorite banh mi spot and I'll definitely be back.

To get to the bar, you need to walk through the lobby of the ice rink, around the back, and up the stairs. It's dark and not very big. The menu selection is typical sports bar food - sandwiches, burgers, and wings. All of the food is very cheap. You can get a burger for about $6-8 with a large patty, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. There are classic variations of your standard burger, such as mushroom and Swiss and Texas BBQ. If you want fries or another side, you have to pay a little bit extra. From a taste standpoint, I would rate this as an average burger. Great size, okay taste. Also, I'll have to admit that I'm not the biggest hockey fan. Add a star if you like watching hockey - it is a chill place to go watch a hockey game. If you're hungry after you've gone ice skating, it's also a decent place to grab a snack.

It's a great place to come sit and relax and watch the games or practices below while enjoying some great food and beer. People used to come here to watch the Thrashers practice, but these days it's just fun to hang out and watch the amateurs and socialize. The food here is basic fare for the most part, but they do have some nice pasta entrees and the burgers are awesome. A friendly wait staff helps a lot and they (somehow) always manage to remember what your like and keep your orders straight. If you like wings, try the Mediyaki wings or chicken fingers - they're quite tasty! It's not a large place, but it's comfortable and they do a pretty good lunch business as well as feeding hungry players after each of the hockey games during the evening. They have a good selection of beers and liquor and if you're looking for some good basic eats at affordable prices, check them out.
