It was good but I don't know if it's "going out to get food" type of restaurant. Unless you have a particular soft spot for chicken salad they offer, you can get something similar at a grocery store or just make it at home? Only or second visit and the food was tasty again. No issue parking plenty of parking in front and around the sides of the strip center they are located. This place was full, and stayed full with people coming and going throughout our visit. You order at the cash register and they bring your meal to your table. We ordered the Olivia's Old South chicken salad scoop, and she had Tomato soup and I had the pasta salad. Our food came out quickly even though they were busy. I still maintain that a bowl of soup here is a bit small. My idea of a bowl is obviously different from theirs. I did the chicken poblano soup and it was good. Nice little kick to it and was hot enough but don't feel a bowl is big enough to warrant the over $5.00 price. A weird thing that this place does is that they ask if you want your sandwich toasted which I did and have in the past. It looks toasted but is not hot and crunchy. It's like it's toasted before hand and is then used later which doesn't make sense because the bread was soft and not dried out and hard if that was the case. The taste was good again but there's no way they're toasted on the spot. I don't understand that. The overall experience is passable but those two things are just weird to me. read more

Been wanting to try this place but it was always packed! Now I see why. It's delicious! I ordered the Classic Carol chicken salad and a broccoli salad as my side. Very fresh, light, crisp. Was hungry for a quick sandwich while in the area. Having had been to the Alpharetta location, i knew this would be a good choice! This is a new location, very clean, great staff. Had a half sandwich and soup to go. I forgot to take a photo of the food!! doh! Lol. It was the original chicken salad on a croissant with loaded baked potato soup (minus the bacon). ;) They offer lots of chicken salad options to go as well - just select one from the display case. Easy to pick up for take out. Excellent chicken salad. So many varieties, I have enjoyed all that I have tried. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Restaurant has always been clean. The only negative is the change in their croissant. Originally their croissant was great but a few months ago they changed it. It is no longer really a croissant. Usually eat at CSC in Gainesville, but we were by MOG and thought we would run in this one today. It's a bit smaller than the other one I am used to. I got my usual order, and I was really dismayed in the difference from store to store. The broccoli salad had no dressing on it, the bacon on my sandwich was not cooked and was soggy, the pickle was soggy. At least the chicken salad was good. My mother who was with me had never been to a CSC, got 2 different Chicken salads and the broccoli salad. She was not thrilled with the dry broccoli salad either. She did really enjoy her 2 chicken salad choices. I think consistency between stores is lacking. read more

Great place - really cute inside and a wide variety of flavors - who even knew there were that many. We had the Fancy Nancy on whole wheat and the Fruity Fran on croissant Side of Mac n cheese which my hubby loved and I had my fave grape salad .... it's like the southern church ladies make at a dinner on the grounds LOL ! OMG soooo good! I liked the key lime cookies they used to have better than the butter ones they have now but that's ok They do have a take n go area with small or larger containers of chick salad and pimento cheese and salads but sandwiches they make after you order but it doesn't take long. Some have drive up windows like near my home in Gainesville but this one at Mall of GA Crossing does not . You have to try it if you've never been. read more

Y'all, I am addicted to this place. I'm originally from the South and moved to California in 2006. I recently moved back to the South and this time Georgia (I was formerly in Tennessee and Alabama). What a fantastic idea this restaurant is! The recipes are light, the food is yummy and consistent among the four different locations I have tried around Atlanta. I have loved their sandwiches and food; great, friendly service. Lately I have traded out my cookie for an extra pickle spear. Today, I tried to do the same as I have for months, but they charged me for a pickle. I reminded the employee, who was being trained by a manager, I didn't want an extra pickle but to swap that out with the cookie. The manager spoke up and said, "Yes, we know, but it doesn't work that way. We have to charge for the pickle." I said, "ok but that doesn't make sense, I have been doing that for months." Managent stated that the cookie cost more than the pickle , over $1.00. " So , I said , "that, even more, does not make sense. The chicken salad is good, the egg salad is disgusting, but I still recommend it if you didn't feel like making your own chicken salad.

The spicy pimento BLT was not my favorite and the croissant wasn't the freshest. On the other hand the potato soup and classic Carole chicken salad was amazing. Nice friendly staff. Will go back for sure. read more

I am a big chicken salad fan so when I kept seeing these pop up all over Gwinnett, I had to try it. I've been a few times now and the food is good everytime. I usually get the Classic Carol or Fancy Nancy. My biggest gripe with this place is they are slow to get orders out. I've waited 20 minutes for a single sandwich, seems they could move faster. Sometimes the food piles up and there is no one to bag it. Once that is tightened up, they'll do much better. For now I just call ahead my order. read more

We really enjoyed our lunch here. The sandwiches were great and the side options are different than other places, so its a nice change. We enjoyed all the ones we tried. The employees were all friendly and the prices are reasonable. My only complaint is the place is always packed elbow to elbow, so no good place to wait on your order. The traffic flow could be better. Not a deterrent at all. But its that full because its really good. There is a pick up option, so we will use that for sure.
