I've heard of this restaurant in Braselton and wanted to try it and then my friend took me to the Buford location. I'll be honest: I'm a traditional breakfast guy, and when I got the menu, I was stumped. Everything sounded good but it was kinda earthy crunchy for me. WAS I EVER WRONG. I am literally planning my next visit as I'm writing this. The waiter was just cool, don't really know how to describe him but he had his arms filled with another tables plates and swung by to get our order. Multitasking times 10. I got the Watermelon Yadda Yadda juice and it blew my hey dudes off. Then after ordered the everything omelette with potatoes. Salad was an option but my brain froze on potatoes. My husband and I came here on a Saturday morning a couple of weeks ago and we really enjoyed our time at this restaurant. It was nice and quiet and not busy at the time we came. The hostess whose name was Jim who I'm not sure is the manager or not was lovely. He carried on a great conversation and made us laugh several times. Our server I can't remember her name, but she was the sweetest lady ever. She made us laugh too. She was attentive and helpful with suggestions. My husband ordered the Trifecta with a blueberry pancake and pork sausage. He said he really enjoyed the blueberry pancake. I ordered the elevated egg breakfast sandwich with grits. We ordered their donut holes (not pictured) and they were phenomenal. We took them home to go but they did not last past a few hours. Each plate was devoured. I went to First Watch years ago and had never been back because I didn't remember the food being all that great. So I was looking for a hot breakfast and decided to try them out and they did not disappoint! From the service to the food, everything was phenomenal. From the minute I walked through the door, I was immediately greeted and told her it was just me. She sat me at a table and Karissa came over with menus. I stopped by the bathroom to wash my hands. The restaurant and bathroom were clean. Karissa was very attentive and helpful as I decided what I wanted to eat. I settled on the Chile and Chorizo omelette with potato's and toast. I did upgrade the potato's and was so glad I did! The omelette was delicious and very filling! The upgraded potato's were sooo good and they weren't skimpy at all with bacon. Finding FIRST WATCH on yelp turned out to be a very good experience. As I drove up, I saw the crowd standing outside and I concluded that this was the place to eat. The parking lot was packed although we did find a parking spot. Walking in, I saw people dressed in casual attire, some dressed up, and some in athletic apparel. The ambiance was exciting and fresh as there were all sorts of things going on at once. Me and my +1 stepped inside and one gentleman was awaiting to give his name. We were second and a gentleman came in behind us. I had a prime example of the phrase, the first shall be last and the last shall be first. I did not say anything about what had just occurred and then the hostess asked how many people and gave us a choice to sit at the front table immediately or we can wait 30 minutes. We sat at a long table that reminded me of the LAST SUPPER! Our waitress (Kimberly) came over and she was like a shaken bottle of Champagne. She was bubbly and full of energy. She made the visit that much more enjoyable. I ordered the shrimp and grits which consisted of sauteed Cajun shrimp without the tip on the end like most restaurants serve, andouille sausage, cooked low country still with chicken broth, roasted tomatoes and onions, diced green bell peppers and scallions atop of cheddar-parmesan cheese grits served with artisan ciabatta toast. The meal was very tasty, with a strong, tomatoey savoriness. My plus one ordered waffle and cheese grits. She really enjoyed the waffle as it was fluffy and light. I ordered biscuit with turkey sausage with egg to go for my grandson. I sampled it and the biscuit was so soft, (like butter). and the turkey sausage was really delicious with chunks of turkey sausage. The egg was fried to perfection. It wasn't hitting like it used to be today. Got a multigrain pancake with pure maple syrup and a side egg and it wasn't wow but the egg felt off. Also the silverware seemed not as clean as I had hoped. I know how dishwashing can be at a restaurant, but it just didn't look clean nor the plate the pancake was on, had a stain it seemed. That's not to say our waitress was terrible, she was great and also the plus of gender neutral bathrooms was great. I just think the quality and hype has gone down a lot lately. read more

Six years later after my initial review and the chaos continues. Parking is a disaster. Sparse parking spaces make for illegal parking which in turn causes a fire safety hazard. If you can find a parking space, then there's the long wait in an area that's not large enough to accommodate the wait list. Patrons and servers vie for the limited space, which can easily intrude on the personal space of those who are dining. Service is a crap shoot, depending on the generational category your server falls into. Ours had definitely "checked out". No creamer on table. Asked for creamer. Forgot us while coffee cooled off for 20 minutes before the creamer finally arrived. Asked for buttered toast. Came out unbuttered and no jam. More waiting. No pico on the Bacado (Kitchen failed there as well). More waiting. Annnnnnd.......no apologies, because of course that just isn't done. It would be seen as humble and gracious and we can't show that kind of "weakness" anymore. Snellville and Tucker franchises are SO much better. Buford's location is terrible from logistics to service. The front and back end of the house lost their way a long time ago and apparently haven't recovered after all this time. read more

First watch was one of my favorite places for brunch. Parking can be an issue at this location. This morning there were several spaces open. I walked in and told the hostess I would like to sit at the community table. The community table is first come first served. There were several seats open, she said ok and I sat down. After sitting down, a waiter came over and told me I couldn't sit there. He said he was reserving the whole table. He didn't offer to sit me at another table. I left. We have been coming with our family to this first watch for over the past years and it has been a delight in prior years to enjoy with our kids. It hurts us to be the ones to rate 1 star for our experience but the customer service from Ryan, the managaer was extremely alarming! We were driving from Florida and kids had not eaten so my husband decided to place an order online for pickup at 10:45 am. He called once to verify payment was processed and a second time to request a second time to add an apple juice. When we arrived the food order wasn't ready and we were asked to sit and wait. After 10 minutes we asked and they went to go look for the order. The manager comes to tell me that the order was never processed even though the iPad in his hand showed as "paid." He told me it wasn't his fault the order didn't process and I needed to check my email for notifications. I explained my follow up calls and confirmation of payment. He continued to argue with me that it was our fault and that I should have checked my emails and I should have verified for payment. After about 5 minutes he continued to take an arrogant stance and we were surprised that the manager was not sympathetic to a family with 4 kids hungry and all he could say is "it's your fault not mine." It got us upset to receive this customer service. I understand mistakes happens but all he had to do was apologize for the inconvenience let me help you make it right. The arrogance from this man was so disgusting to me. This is not the type of customer service we have received in the past from this restaurant or in any great restaurant business. I hope this review brings attention to the subpar treatment we received, prompting the owners to reevaluate their customer service standards and provide the excellent experience that we've come to expect from this restaurant. read more

Loveeee First Watch! This is my first time dining at this location. There was a wait time and the parking lot is small. We sat near the back, close to the kitchen and it was fairly quiet. Our server was attentive and took care of us. We ordered two entrees and an order of French toast to try. I always order the Chile Chorizo omelette, and it was just as good. Never could get into this place as it is always packed. Finally for the first time since they open in Buford, we were able to try this restaurant. It has a very good selection of original healthy dishes and juices. My husband ordered the Farm House Skillet Hash and I ordered The Works omelet, replacing onions with spinach. It's lightly dusted with cinnamon and sugar!! our server was so friendly and kind and checked on us numerous times! Do not judge the weight by the parking lot. This is one my go-to brunch restaurants, and 90% of the time I've had good service here. There's usually no wait on weekdays, but on weekends you want to make sure you check-in online to get ahead of line. With food, whatever I get is amazing! I never had an issue with any menu items. If you have no idea what to get, you should start with the million dollar bacon. It's sweet and spicy, which is the perfect combination. I also recommend the floridian french toast and lemon ricotta pancakes. I also get their juices (they are slightly pricey and no free refills), but it tastes very healthy and refreshing. Visit this location while on vacation. We had the lump crab avocado with eggs toast. It was amazing. We also ordered the tacos el pastor hash. It was missing the crispy pork so we returned it. We had the tropical sunrise and the morning meditation(they need to make this one a mimosa). I would have given them 5 stars but it took almost an hour to get the food once you order and they messed up on the taco el pastor hash. Our server Jerry was awesome. We selected other items and what we received had several things missing yet we were charged full price. Also, we are aware that what you receive never looks exactly like the picture but the items we received were so sparse for the price we paid it looked like they used just what was leftover instead of the full dish. Everything was perfect the food was flavorful as well as seasoned I personally loved the whipped butter and berry compote. The sausages had a good seasoning blend and were cooked to perfection with a nice crisp on the outside. The server was patient and attentive to our needs.
