J. Christopher's is a beloved local favorite breakfast spot we found while visiting family in Flowery Branch, Georgia. Despite our unexpectedly late start to the day, there was a steady flow of customers the entire time we ate breakfast. Customers ranged from young families, single guest and friends gathering in small groups, everyone we saw ordered a variety of breakfasts. There are options for all types of morning eaters. Small portions to big meals. You are bound to find something to fit your mood. While the options are typical choices you find in many breakfast diner type businesses, the quality of the food and the freshness was evident. Nothing was "greasy" or flavorless nor was anything "slammed " together to get diners in and out quickly. Care was taken to provide a good breakfast with warm southern hospitality. I ordered the short stack (2) of the blueberry crunchcakes. They were two large blueberry pancakes topped with granola. They were not overly sweet nor did the granola conflict with the pancake experience. It was actually my second favorite pancake I've ever had. They were large enough I only ate half the order. I requested a side of bacon and it came with three strips, cooked nicely. Not too crispy and not too floppy. My husband ordered the Western Omelette which had ham, peppers, onions and cheese. He also chose the oven roasted potatoes and the English muffin. He was pleased to see there was not a ton of cheese inside as he has experienced elsewhere, so you could easily taste the various flavors of each ingredient. The portion was hearty so he too only ate half. The potatoes were perfectly golden and tasted like potatoes. Nothing was greasy nor overly salted so it felt like a hearty breakfast. If you are in town and want a yummy breakfast of some classic breakfast favorites, make it a point to eat at J. Christopher's. You will taste fresh ingredients, get good portions and won't break the bank. I wasn't a fan of the hot or iced coffee though, which always completes my morning. If you are in the mood for more than a pastry at breakfast, this place is one to try. read more

Took over an hour to get our food, the waitress didn't ask if we needed a kids menu, or even what the kids wanted to drink. When the food did finally come, all but my meal was delivered and I had to continue waiting for 2 tiny frozen chicken tenders to cook and some waffle batter to cook. read more

This place is grossly understaffed, but that's to be expected with Covid happening. The issue I have with the place is the quality of food coming out. The cooks must all be 18yr old college kids who never cooked a day in their lives because mom made them meals and they eat Ramen at college. There is zero care for the food being brought to tables! The server we had was nice and all over the place because they were busy, but our food came out way after the 4 other parties that walked in after us. Went the other day to give this new place in town a try. I have never been to a J.Christopher's so it was a new experience just going to one. My wife and I went for breakfast and was very happy with the customer service and experience at this new location. I had the eggs Benedict with a water and she had a spinach omelette with coffee. The food was very fresh and came out quickly. The only downside was the coffee price. I feel for a plain black coffee for $2.99 is a little much. We love breakfast and we're looking for a new place to try closer to my moms house and came across this place. So far I have been there times and can see another return in the future. The restaurant is located in a strip mall with a Target and Kohl's and other places but it is in a corner so your not really bothered by the bustle of the other places. It is a bit small inside but they do have outside seating as well. We have been lucky and never hit it when it was too crowded. The eggs Benedict have been yummy along with the the pancakes. My husband did try to biscuits and gravy and we both agreed the biscuits were dry and dense even with the gravy on them. The gravy was good but it should be over something other than the biscuits. We did notice the waffles look fluffy and so on our next visit I know one of us is getting a waffle This place is great for breakfast or lunch and I don't think you can go wrong. read more

I am from out of town, and my Georgia family spoke highly of J Christopher's for two days, so I was very excited to try this place. What a disappointment with their customer service. We were told the wait for 3 was 20-minutes; we waited for an hour and 15-minutes and had to leave to get to the airport. I asked the hostess when we would be seated, and she told me twice that we were next. I was surprised that no one was being seated, and there were only a handful of tables being served. More than three-quarters of the restaurant was empty. I will not waste my time in the future on J Christopher's and my family will not be returning. What a disappointment. read more

If you are hungry for breakfast go somewhere else. Ordered and omelet with potatoes an a biscuit. It came out fast but there was not much to it. Omelets was ok potatoes were lukewarm at best. This spot was busy. We were put next to a window that didn't have blinds so we kept our sunglasses on for part of it. We were a larger group and the waitress did ok with us. I am an out of towner and was looking for a good local brunch spot. This place is tucked away in a strip mall, which isn't usually my go to, but the menu looked good and I wanted to give them a try since they are new. They did not disappoint. I ordered coffee and was given a fresh pot of hot coffee for the table. There were several menu items that I wanted to try. I settled on the pot belly Benny from the specials (pulled pork over a biscuit like eggs Benedict). It was absolutely delicious. This location doesn't deserve anything but a 5 star rating. The food is unbelievably good, the staff is friendly and caring, and they're always military friendly. We've frequent this location since they opened, going probably 20-30 times, and they never disappoint. The atmosphere is equally as great as everything else. I'm always recommending this location, and J. Christopher's in general! --Update-- If I could give this location 10 stars I would. I'm so sorry to post a negative review. Our server was delightful, but the food was average and way over-priced. A small glass of iced tea was $3.29. Really? Even with refills that's a bit much. $40 total for lunch. And my husband and I both left the dry, tough chicken (from his quesadilla and my crepe) on the plate. Just had my second experience at J. Christoper's this last Sunday. I met up with a group of 4 other ladies for some brunch around 11. The food and service were both great. Our server (sorry I didn't catch her name) was great. She asked us if we wanted separate checks, which I think is terrific because it's so easy to forget to ask and I know it's a pain for the server to sort it out later. Long time fan of J. Christopher's but first time to this location. Food isn't on par with other locations but service was friendly and fast. Also, although servers are wearing masks, they don't require customers to wear them when entering/leaving/walking to restroom, servers don't wear gloves to bring food to table. They didn't do a quick temp check either which if cases are rising, shouldn't all restaurants be doing this?! No curbside/contactless to-go either and everyone working there was just too close for comfort. I just feel like if they aren't taking the pandemic seriously, what else aren't they taking seriously. Strange times and I just want to dine at places and feel safe and have great food- sadly, they missed they just had ok food and didn't seem too concerned with covid and don't have convenient to-go parking so that makes it less of an option too. My husband and I saw the sign that there was a J. Christopher's opened. We were so excited as we just moved up here from Roswell where we are tripping over brunch locations. We arrived around 930 cause we want to beat the rush. When we got in the hostess was so sweet and let us know that there would be a small wait and then apologized. We were totally ok with waiting and it was literally a 6 min wait. The food was great service was wonderful and the manager was not only checking on tables but also jumping in to help where help was needed. I've been going to this location since the week it opened. It's great! You can tell the management cares a lot about their customers and the service they receive. The servers are friendly, although some seem a little inexperienced. No judgement, though. Gotta start somewhere. The eggs benedict with fried potatoes is my favorite. The eggs are always cooked perfect and the potatoes, crisp. Drizzle some ketchup on those, *chef's kiss*. Although, my last few visits I've noticed the fried potato portions have gotten skimpier. I frequent the J Christopher's by my work all the time so when I found out that they were establishing one 5 minutes from my house...! Needless to say, I was stoked. And apparently so was the rest of Flowery Branch because the place is ALWAYS packed! But despite this, the wait times are pretty decent. And totally worth it, might I add. The staff is always happy and helpful. If it gets too busy, managers will jump in wherever they are needed, even if it's just taking orders or cleaning up tables. This is such a breath of fresh air considering how rare it is to see a manager at any other eating establishment, especially doing menial tasks so diligently. And the food is DELICIOUS! Tried it for the first time at this new location. Not only was the food great the service was awesome. Everyone helped each other and made us feel very welcome. The food was prepared and deliver very quickly with perfect presentation. The server was very pleasant. The GM, Adam, asked how the food was and our experience. It is very obvious that he did an awesome job training his staff to deliver great service. He was even expoing the food and assuring it was correct and it was delivered to the tables very timely.
