Side salad
Todd W.

It pains me to write this review because this used to be one of my "hidden gem" places to eat around me for quite sometime & after being gone for over a year I was happy to be eating here again. Out waitress was great and there's was no wait (that's the good!). I got water w lemon to drink but the water was not good to the point I ordered a ginger ale instead and hardly ever drink soda. Not completely their fault the tap water in the area's not great to say the least and I wanna be fair. I ordered the drunken clams appetizer as I have in the past and the clams were microscopic, I mean small to the point my wife stopped eating them and said there was no point. I've never seen clams this small honestly. Then I got the mahi mahi which was ok not great, the salad and broccoli were the best things I ate on this occasion. I usually get the fish & chips which is usually very good but this was a completely underwhelming & disappointing experience.

cajun chicken alfredo
Claire H.

I walked in wanting to order the Rachel, a rueben sandwich, which they ran out of. Instead, I opted to try the cajun chicken alfredo, which was similar to the Chili's. My boyfriend ordered the shredding ribeye and provolone with homemade fries. Both were good and the portions were perfect, especially for the price you're paying. There are a lot of tables, and some pool tables for people to use and hang out. Service however could be improved because it seems like they do the jobs of a server and a busser. It also seems as if there aren't a lot of servers, so it may take a bit to get a hold of your server. Overall, it's pretty good and would recommend coming here for lunch or dinner!!

Fish and Chips (Tarter Sauce)

We've come here often and the service and food is always great. Not sure if I've had the fish and chips before but it was superb. My husband always gets the Chicken Cajun Pasta and our son loves their Kids cheeseburgers. Left with empty plates!!!!

Black and blue burger w/ fries

Date of visit: 4.13.22 1pm Reviewed: 4.13.22 Stopped at Maynard's for lunch while I was working out here in Flowery Branch. I was far from home, and this place was convenient with a good menu (I checked Yelp). My summary would be excellent service with good food at a reasonable price. I ordered the black and blue burger cooked Medium w/ fries ($10.99). Pros: Roxy was a great server, and everything came out very very fast. Food was hot and tasted good. Neutral: Burger was overcooked, but it had a good beef flavor. It wasn't a frozen patty. I would eat here again if I was in the area.

Grilled ribeye
Shannon B.

Popped back in after few months. My wife loves the Santa Clara shrimp. I had the wedge (very yummy) and decided to try the grilled 12oz ribeye. The steamed broccoli and potato were delicious. The ribeye was tough. I shave have had it med rare. I'll make a suggestion with Wilkes meat market just across the parking lot. Upgrade the meats and people will pay for the taste!

Smothered in Bluecheese???

Thought we'd give this place one more shot, used to be really good. Good was cold when we got it; not very good.

Food is above average but the drunks at the pool table who have clearly been over served spoiled our visit.

Awful a few years ago. Tables were slammed together, service was fine, but the food was less than impressive.

Crossroads Bar & Grille in Flowery Branch just nailed two lunch classics better than most places…read moreI've tried--the Cuban and the Reuben are absolute winners. Stopped in at 5900 Spout Springs Rd for a casual lunch and left seriously impressed. These sandwiches aren't just thrown together; they're loaded and executed perfectly. The Cuban (marinated pork loin, smoked ham, Swiss cheese, spicy mustard, and pickles on a toasted hoagie roll) was a flavor bomb. Look at that cross-section--juicy, tender pork layered thick with ham, melty cheese, and that perfect pickle crunch cutting through the mustard kick. The bread toasted up golden and held everything together without getting soggy. Paired it with fries and a side of ketchup, and it felt like something straight out of a great Cuban spot. Huge portions that actually satisfy. The Classic Reuben on toasted marbled rye was equally stacked: thinly sliced corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss, and 1000 Island dressing. The bread had that ideal crisp exterior with a soft bite, and the fillings were generous and well-balanced--no dry bites here. Came with crispy fries and a side of creamy sauce that tied it all together beautifully. Service was friendly and quick, the atmosphere is that perfect relaxed neighborhood vibe (great for watching a game or just catching up), and the prices are fair for the quality and size you get. In a world full of average bar sandwiches, Crossroads delivers the real deal with fresh ingredients and obvious care. Whether you're craving the tangy, savory Reuben or the bright, porky Cuban, both hit the spot hard. I'll definitely be back. If you're in Flowery Branch, do not sleep on these sandwiches. Highly recommend--5 stars.

This restaurant is open, loud, fluorescent-lit, echo-y cement floors, and bland. (Holiday decor added subtle dazzle.) Not a long wait considering it was peak Sunday brunch time, and surprisingly not a long wait for service. Menu is what you expect - greasy diner fare with copious choices of sweet stacks, but our group got mostly omelets. Perplexing why the omelets were listed as including pancake batter. My daughter got strawberry pancakes and with the strawberry syrup, the whole thing tasted like chemicals - I honestly couldn't discern what was real fruit and what wasn't. Bathrooms were clean, table wasn't, and menus were sticky. Our server was really nice but I am really not a fan of having to tip, sign and pay off of a handheld machine that is in my face, pressuring me to choose a tip that the server is instantly aware of. It just sours me on the meal, not being able to thoughtfully choose a tip based on the experience. I don't expect to go to this restaurant again based on a $65 breakfast for two adults and one child, coupled with the traffic in that area, and just the overall quality of the meal.

Trying to keep this short because I was taught if you have nothing nice to say don't…read more Stopped by after an engagement coordinated with Chateau. Not mine. That went very well so we wanted to check out the space and food at Versailles as a possible wedding venue. Walking through the hotel there were no greetings from concierge. With possible wedding guests staying on the grounds that was a red flag. The "restaurant" itself was giving food court. The host standing at a stand in the middle of the room was weird and probably uncomfortable for the actual host. She was also the only "professional" one there during our visit. Wait staff was not put together at all, as well as the possible person in charge. I'm talking sloppy, questionable hygiene, and under the influence of somethings. Food was cooked well for the most part. My risotto was definitely undercooked and when I notified the gentleman (manager?) he asked me if I wanted to keep the fish and just have the risotto redone. We tried to scoop the fish onto a plate at the table but he ended up just taking the whole plate. That whole thing was odd. New remade dish was the exact same. I honestly started questioning my palate. But no, it was undercooked. I love an al dente pasta but like that pasta was hard and sticking to my teeth type undercooked. Grateful for my sealants. LOL The rest of our food was cooked very well. We ordered a bottle of wine. Received a cheaper wine that server opened at the table. She changed it out. We paid, left, no farewells from any staff. The whole experience was an experience. We did not choose Chateau as the wedding venue.

AMBIANCE: 5/5 The views are exquisite, with chic mid-century modern decor, natural sunlight beaming down from the glass ceiling above, and just overall upscale feel of the entire property. SERVICE: 5/5 On this day, we were informed by the hostess that there would just be a buffet offered. We accepted and were promptly seated at a cozy booth. Our friendly and kind southern charm of awaitress brought us coffees and was attentive in making sure we were having a nice morning. FOOD: 3.5/5 The buffet items were visually appetizing, with an assortment of sweet and savory items. Constructively, I feel that the tastes were just average with most breakfast buffets around. It needed a little more oomph to be considered stellar. The mini croissants were flaky and tasty, along with the jams. This was probably my favorite item. The waffles were yummy, but I would've expected pure maple syrup instead of corn syrup artificial pancake syrup, at a place like this. Scrambled eggs were okay--I should've gone with a customizable omelette from the chef station. I feel like they were missing more dishes--it almost felt sparse despite the several stations. Still, over all, we enjoyed our tastings. Other than my somewhat harsh critique that I hope gets taken as helpful rather than hurtful, we really enjoyed our morning here. It was a special trip we won't forget. We hope to come back again soon!

Five stars for steak, sanity, and a much needed reset…read more We found ourselves at LongHorn in Braselton under less than ideal circumstances. My uncle is currently in the ICU at a nearby hospital, and my aunt has basically been running on fumes and hospital coffee. We convinced her to step away for a bit, get a real meal, and sit with family without the constant beeping of machines in the background. Close enough to feel comfortable, but just far enough to breathe. Enter LongHorn on a Saturday night, which apparently doubled as prom headquarters. The place was packed with teenagers in suits and dresses looking like they just discovered cologne for the first time. The wait was about 45 minutes, but honestly it worked in our favor. It gave us time to sit, talk, and let my aunt decompress a little. By the time our table was ready, she looked like a human again instead of someone running on pure adrenaline. Once seated, the food did not disappoint. The complimentary bread showed up warm and dangerous because you know you are about to ruin your appetite but you do it anyway. The fried onion starter disappeared faster than prom dates after curfew. We had a full spread of steak, shrimp, and chicken and everything hit exactly the way it needed to. No complaints, no notes, just solid, comforting food done right. Our waiter was attentive without hovering, which is a rare skill. Drinks stayed filled, food came out on point, and we never had to flag anyone down. The restaurant had a lively energy, but somehow it never felt overwhelming. For a couple of hours, we were able to laugh, eat well, and give my aunt a break from a really heavy situation. That alone makes this place worth five stars. The great food and service just sealed it. LongHorn delivered more than a meal tonight. It gave us a moment we really needed.

We chose our old Longhorn standby, because this location has always been good. Host was hiccuping (not covering his mouth) or removing himself from the host station. Then, he obviously was also fighting a stuffy nose.. both gross & out loud. Our server was curt & in a hurry. We quickly realized it was because they were understaffed. IT was only 4 o'clock & dining room wasn't even full! Steak arrived, medium rare versus medium well. Server was short when picking it back up and minced words with me. Customers should not be told "Ma'am, I have dirty dishes in my hand"! A better choice would have been. "I'm so sorry. I've got my hands full, & I'll be right back to take care of you". Never received our shrimp add-on. 10 more minutes later -we were told it was sent back because it was burnt . 10 more minutes later- it was delivered- so we sent it back. After our steak wasn't done right and we didn't receive our shrimp ( in a timely manner or while we were waiting for our re-done steak).... we really weren't interested in eating there anymore. A brand new plate with steak and fresh shrimp should have been delivered to our table. Probably won't be back to this location- mainly because of the service. We could've dealt with the food, if our server wasn't so salty.
