    Pork chop
    Summer S.

The vegetable in the salad was very fresh and good quality, definitely succeeded my expectations of such a small restaurant. I ordered the pork chops, and it was the best pork chops I have ever had. I mean, I have ordered it from the fancy and the hidden gems all over the world; this joint made the best pork chops. Normally I don't eat carbs, but the gentleman suggested I try their Mac and cheese; I smoked that bowl in no time. Hahaha The restaurant was busy with family and locals, their phone orders were non stop. Huge parking in the front and safely located next to a police station. Amazing all around, it should be the top 1 Southern cooking in and near Atlanta; and well worth some driving to get to it.

I forgot to photo before we ate.

Fantastic food, menu is huge, and the service was the best part. Like eating breakfast in my mom's kitchen.

I decided to try the salmon eggs benedict, and it was nothing short of outstanding--a beautiful fusion of flavors with perfectly poached eggs, rich hollandaise, and fresh, high-quality salmon. Every bite was satisfying and thoughtfully prepared. The rustic potatoes were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and seasoned just right, making them the perfect complement to the dish. I also ordered mimosas made with fresh-squeezed orange juice, which added a refreshing and vibrant touch to the entire experience. What impressed me most was the attention to detail, from the presentation of the food to the overall quality of the ingredients. You can really tell they care about what they serve. I drove 40 minutes just to try this place, and it was absolutely worth it. I'll definitely be coming back again and again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-tier brunch experience!

Went in and lady just looks at me. I said, "I just want to get coffee." She said, "dont open until 7:30." I said well, you just lost business and shouldn't have your open sign (on the side of the building to draw in traffic) on or door unlocked. I don't understand business' mentality anymore. If I owned a business that served coffee in the mornings and someone came in 15-20 min before we opened because I had my sign on and door unlocked, I would say, "it may take a few extra minutes because we aren't open yet, but what can I get you?" Thats how you keep happy customers. Instead, you turned me away losing that sale, gaining this review, AND I will reconsider next time I decide I may want to eat your food, and just go somewhere else, also this review could affect others coming there, so affecting future sales. If the lights weren't all on, open sign wasn't on, I wouldn't have come in to have this experience. Business', YOU MUST DO BETTER!!! News flash! There are tons of you for us to choose from. We don't have to eat or drink at your restaurant.

We sat down to a "Cajun night" menu to which I inquired if that's like a weekly thing or what and was explained that they will occasionally do various themes and recently had done Italian. They had Cajun music playing and a full Cajun menu, it felt like we were in Louisiana which I am very familiar with, I have roots there. I think having themed nights is a very clever way to bring a variety of fine dining options to a small town that doesn't have a lot of restaurant options. Fully support! Love the concept! Having had frog legs before I didn't feel the need to explore again so didn't choose those. I instead opted for some more cozy comforts such as the Crawfish étouffée and Duck Andouille Gumbo. Both were delicious, my only gripe would be the presentation was quite lacking. Traditionally, for either of those dishes, the rice is served from a cup as a topper, not the gumbo or étouffée spooned atop the rice. But the flavor hit it out of the park. Hubby ordered the Blackened Redfish and this is where the chef's talents shine. This was the winning dish of the evening. Hubby hates okra, I love it, and I'd never had it grilled before though and I'll be using that cooking technique in the future, especially since hubby actually likes okra finally. But I don't want to focus on okra for a fish dish. The blackened redfish was so well seasoned and perfectly flaky, the pinto beans had great flavor as well. We finished our meal out with the beignets and coffees (hubby espresso and me a latte) which paired perfectly with the beignets. We ate them politely with the fork and knife provided though if you ain't covered in powdered sugar or accidentally proofing powdered sugar across the table when you take a bite are you even doing it right? ;) but they were delicious, everything was. Again the only suggestion I have is to consider presentation. The dishes looked a bit bland for the amount of flavor they packed. A slice of that grilled okra on top of my Gumbo or just anything simple would've gone a long way. Overall I'll give 5 stars. I have no complaints. The restaurant's vibe and decor are great, service was great, food was delicious. We had a great night!

Top 10 Meal of Our Lives!…read more We just had dinner at The Bistro on Broad in Winder, and it absolutely blew us away. We're no strangers to good food--we're certified foodies--and this meal easily cracked the top 10 meals of our lives. We started with the pimento cheese and gnocchi to share, and both were downright insane in the best way. Creamy, rich, balanced--like Southern comfort and fine dining had a baby. For entrées, we ordered the shrimp & grits and the Campanella with beef ragout... and then proceeded to eat off each other's plates all night because we genuinely couldn't decide which one we liked better. The shrimp & grits were smoky, buttery perfection, and the ragout was slow-cooked, soul-warming magic. Dessert? Blueberry cobbler and chocolate bread pudding. We were already full, but we pushed through like champions. Both were ridiculously good--the kind of good that makes you consider licking the plate. And major shoutout to Bree, our server--she was absolutely wonderful. Friendly, attentive, and spot-on with every recommendation. She made the experience even better. Everything from the food to the atmosphere to the service was top notch. Winder is lucky to have this gem. If you haven't been yet--go. And bring stretchy pants.

Getting a meal here wasn't a bad call since we needed to get a full stomach considering traffic to Atlanta would've been a nightmare, which was the case with an accident on i-85 closing 4 lanes of traffic in the downtown area. We actually came at a great time with most of the dining area empty for lunch time. So we immediately got seated hearing Christmas music playing. Really not bad timing stopping here. Since I drove the whole leg to Louisiana (which I didn't mind at all), it was best to keep my stomach sort of light. So I ordered the best thing for lunch: chicken tenders with fries. And I had coffee to keep me up during the drive. I've had it before several times at various IHOP locations so eating it wasn't a surprise. And well done too. Seasoned completely. And having honey mustard sauce helped make the meal delicious. For a quick stop during traveling, this wasn't bad at all especially since we spent hours on the road. This here will be a repeat visit the next time we're passing by in town.

Anywho I was excited because colombian food is the best. Arriving it was already a hot Sunday afternoon, our seating was in the entry outdoor/sort of indoor area. This area has no air conditioning only two large fans on the right. There were only two waitresses for our entire party, which wouldn't usually be an issue but these two ladies did things way out of order. They started taking some drink orders and some appetizers but casually skipped over others. Most of us got our alcoholic drinks right away but we didn't get cups of water until well over an hour into our time there. A few of us did order the Arepa con queso for appetizers and those were delicious. I ordered the Arooz con pollo with Tostones and it was very salty and lacking in other seasoning for sure. The tostones were good but those are the simplest thing to make. Also my arroz con pollo had hotdogs in it, I've never had that before and those really could have been left out. For a drink I got the Colombiana Spritz and it was juice, not a drop of alcohol was in that drink and the amount of sugar in that drink plus the heat plus the lack of water, it wasn't fun. A couple in the party bother both ordered the banded paisa one regular sized and the other mini, both came out the same exact size but they have a price difference and they both had random things missing from each plate. Half of the party received their food before others even placed theirs. My friend ordered the Chorizo for her husband, which was $8 and you can see in the picture how insanely tiny that Chorizo was. She also ordered the Chicharron which was also $8 and had exactly 8 bits to it, she essentially paid $1 per tiny Chicharron, which is way too much. We already knew the checks were going to be a mess and they sure were. I didn't hate this place but the experience was not good at all. I would only come back maybe for an arepa or if I was invited. The experience could have been bad because of it being a large party but I can't say you'll have a better time.
