    Prison lunch.
    Justin D.

If you like salads and prison, you'll love this Salata. I'll echo what others have said here before me, I like the idea of a full service salad bar and have visited other Salata's, but this location is AWFUL. I've been about a half-dozen times in the last couple of months and the service, food and experience has been in steady decline. The one thing that has been consistent is the inconsistent staff. I get it; good folks are hard to come by right now, but NO ONE is going to want to work in this environment. I don't know if it's the owner or manager, but the "Warden" is always there, not friendly, and always has a computer and documents at a table in the dining area. This is odd. Adding to the joy of being an employee or patron is the fact the air conditioning was broke today and all the veggie trays were sweating like it was a parole hearing. When your staff looks miserable, it's 85 degrees in your dining area and your serving food in metal bowls, this feels a lot like a meal in a correctional facility. When you add in the fact that the prices have gone up and now the portion size has gone down, I'm out. I ordered a small bowl today and it was $14 w/tax and tip. Look at this salad. I feel like I've been violated. So long, Salata! I've done my time.

Small salad - half romaine, half spinach base with pesto chicken, veggies of choice, fruit of choice, and dressing.

A great place for a quick, refreshing lunch with little to no wait time. The service here is very friendly and my advice is to listen to the workers when they suggest toppings and dressings! If you are unsure about their recommendations, definitely get dressing on the side. The range of options is huge and I love the addition of lots of fruit (mango is an incredible addition to salad). Solid protein options with flavorful chicken, although a little on the dry side. My only qualm with this place is how pricey it is - it is nutritious and delicious, but $15-$20 for mixed veggies, sauce, and protein is somewhat questionable given that some of the salad bases did not look too fresh either.

Ok...so I'm not really a salad guy so this will be a bit biased. Not sure if it was because it was dinner time but the place was deserted. I heard that it gets busy during lunchtime. Meats were dry and service could have been better. Not a place I would personally repeat. Service - 3/5 Food - 2.5/5 Ambience - 3/5

Salata is KALE-ing me softly with their awesome salads! Came by on a weekday afternoon. Parking is plentiful even though it's shared by multiple businesses. I was greeted upon entering. I informed the staff member behind the counter that it was my first time. He gave me a quick rundown on how the ordering process works: choose your bowl size, base, toppings, protein, and additions as you go down the long counter. I ordered a small salad $7 with grilled chicken +$3. I loaded it up with a kale and spinach base mix, plenty of vegetables and toppings, and a fresh herb vinaigrette. They offer over 50 toppings, 10 house-made dressings, and 12 meat and meatless proteins. The ingredients looked and tasted fresh. The fresh herb vinaigrette was refreshing. Overall, I thought the salad was delicious! The small was plenty for me, and enough to satisfy my hunger. They have a tea tap, which is pretty cool but I didn't indulge. The space is clean, bright, and open. Plenty of seating indoor and out. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The manager checked on me and other diners. Will definitely return!

I've seen these restaurants around but didn't know anything about them. This one just opened by me in the same center as Chili's and IHoP. My wife and I checked it out tonight. It's another one of those places where you pick your base and then add your toppings as you move on down the line. The first girl that greeted us didn't really explain how it worked but we caught on fast. I was impressed when I got to the protein section. There is some great looking choices. When I started building my salad, I had no idea where I was going with it but it quickly turned into a Southwestern style. My protein was shrimp and my dressing was Chipotle Ranch. With all of the items, I had a really good, high quality salad. This place is kind of hard to see but with the fitness center right by it, I think it will do well. I'll surely be back.

Really great salad place....they have tons of options for you to choose from as you move through the bar. Very creative and you can come up with lots of different combinations. I'm not a salad guy, but when I'm trying to eat healthy this is the place for me. I love the variety. The chipotle chicken on top?? Yes please. The atmosphere is upscale and contemporary. They also have a tea bar where you can get some of the wonderful teas they brew fresh each day. Give this place a try!!

YESSS; the BEST salad bar EVERR and it did not disappoint. My wife and I first discovered Salata when living in Chicago and always hoped it would make its way down here... Well, it finally has as there are several locations around metro Atlanta (Alpharetta, Atlantic Station, Marietta, and more) and it certainly EXCEEDED my expectations (see pictures of the inside below)! Upon entering, we were greeted by wonderful hosts who were behind the salad stations and as my wife and I moved down the line in selecting our protein, the employees were gracious to allow us sample the different flavors of chicken and anything extra. To note, this salad bar is one that is not "self-serve" (meaning where you use tongs and select how much or little you want of greens/vegetables) as there are folks behind the bar to help make and assist whatever salad you desire. Essentially, they're making it for you per your selection. SERVICE = EXCELLENT (everyone was real cheerful, helpful, and excited to see us. We even met with the Assistant Manager, Anthony who was a great guy and told him we'll definitely be back and love that Salata in Johns Creek opened up)! If you can't tell already, the salad was amazing (see picture below). The best part of Salata and how it differentiates itself from Saladworks, Chopt, and more is their selection and variety. They have all the greens you can imagine (Salata/Spring Mix, Spinach, Kale, and you can mix and match however many you want --- you can get it all if you really desired with NO additional cost). After selecting your greens, (no joke) you have the opportunity to select 20+ toppings to put in your salad; INCREDIBLE. Once you have your greens and toppings, you can select your protein if you'd like (+$3) as I saw 4 different chicken options with various seasonings (I prefer spicy chipotle), shrimp, and more... To top it off, you can select sesame sticks, croutons, or both. And they have 9+ salad dressings to choose from (prefer spicy chipotle ranch). In regards to pricing, it's simple as a regular salad bowl (what I had, can you believe that's a regular!?!?) is $8 and it tapers off as you go down in size. I believe $6 for a small and perhaps less if you want a real small salad. But for the money and the unlimited options, I would go for the regular salad. To further justify why getting a regular salad is worth it --- it's a large portion where you can take at least 2 meals out of it! And it's uber healthy, what's not to love... FOOD = EXCELLENT (the greens, vegetables, toppings, all was delicious and mainly tasted FRESH. It didn't taste like it was out the whole day, the dressing wasn't clunky as it had good consistency, and the chicken was delicious and not under/over done). The regular salad portion is a lot, but I like it (as noted above) and even brought it home as a to-go for my meal tomorrow. Keep in mind, this is a salad bar with gyms around the perimeter so this should stay busy, great meal after a workout, so that said...no dress code needed. Though, inside is done really nice --- a green, organic feel with flowers on the table/booth (gives it a nice appeal), and the grey flooring gives it a modern look. AMBIENCE = CASUAL (nothing fancy, but very clean and modern). I'm already itching to come back as I can't get enough and LOVE Salata; hands down best salad bar. You will not be disappointed. Also, if you'd prefer a wrap vs a salad, they can make that as well per your choosings so something to consider. They also have soup, so a little bit of healthiness for everyone...

Where have you been my whole life? My family and I stumbled on Salata earlier today looking for something fresh and filling. I never realized how few your options are until we couldn't find anything good. Walking into Salata you see a whole array of fresh veggies and fruits you can throw in your salad. This rivals an Upbeet but way cheaper. You can get a large salad for 8$ (not including proteins which you pay extra for) and you add as many toppings as you want. When I say I left with a salad I could serve to a family, I'm not joking. I spent 11$ including my pit- roasted turkey and was so full and satisfied. I literally threw in all the veggies and toppings they had. The super nice sever let us try heir soup, too and man oh man was it good. Next time I'm definitely getting a bowl of soup to go with my salad. Best of all, they have teas and lemonades on tap which is so cool. I got the prickly pear lemonade and am still sipping on it. So good. Please try. Don't miss out.

My partner and I came in around roughly 9:50-10pm. When we arrived we're were initially informed that we had to order soon because they were closing in 30 minutes and were understandings of that. Shortly after we were seated, (literally 1-2 minutes) about 3 employees came to our table letting us know we needed to order within the next few minutes. It was like 10:05. I tried asking one of the employee what the meat options were and was just interrupted by him being persistent in us ordering and did not really answer our questions, mainly because I noticed some of the meat options were pork and I do not consume pork for personal reasons. My partner and I felt overwhelmed and just ordered something we thought would not include pork. After submitting our order another employee came by with the check already without us asking insisting for us to pay before our food even came out. Mind you the restaurant closed within 20 minutes at this point. When our food did come out, it did contain PORK!!! We just left shortly afterwards and left the food on the table.

I was absolutely obsessed with the smell of this restaurant before I even went in! I appreciated them, giving us two grills, and the staff actually cook the meat for you. I wish I was sitting more towards the left grill because whoever cooked the pork belly on that side made sure the flame was hot enough and it cooked the pork thoroughly while also making it crispy on the outside. In front of me, the griller did not make the heat high enough so it took a while for the pork to be fully cooked. She told us it was done and it was still kind of chewy so I kept swapping back-and-forth from the left grill onto this one. That's the only reason why I gave it a four instead of a five out of five was because I did not like the way they cooked part of our pork. It was so chewy the fat was not cooked at all, but it was an easy fix. I just had to cook it longer on the other grill but again we shared two grills between eight people so 1/2 of our group got to eat more than us. I like how the pork doesn't have a really strong, pork smell, and it tasted very good like it was seasoned properly. I absolutely love the kimchi! I love how this restaurant stays open pretty late so we can enjoy eating and drinking. It's such a nice casual place to hang out. For dessert, we had kimchi fried rice haha. The pan fried bao dumplings were alright but morning to write home about; I thought the bun to filling ratio was good for a bao though. For noodles we got the house rice noodles. I typically don't order this but I thought it was really well done with a good ratio of ingredients and flavor. Lastly we ordered the sales egg pork ribs. They were cut to bite size pieces but that's deceptive since they were bone in. Some pieces were all bone and some all meat. While the flavor was good, some might call it dry and the cut made it difficult to eat. While the seasoning for all the dishes were flavorful, I thought the salt was a little heavy. We found a restaurant not far from the matcha shop. It felt more like a Chinese takeout spot than a traditional sit-down restaurant, so there wasn't much to speak of in terms of decor. We decided to share everything we ordered. The first dish we tried was the Szechuan noodles. The flavor was excellent, but unfortunately, the dish arrived only lukewarm, as it appeared to have been sitting for a while before being brought to the table. Next, we ordered soup dumplings, but the restaurant accidentally brought out pan-seared dumplings instead. Thankfully, they let us keep them while they prepared our original order. The pan-seared dumplings were actually very good--piping hot and full of flavor. When the soup dumplings finally arrived, they were decent but didn't quite live up to the pan-seared version and lacked the same level of flavor. Finally, our Szechuan chicken arrived. It was hot, fresh, and delicious. The chicken was crispy with a great spice profile that delivered the classic Szechuan kick without being overwhelming. It was served with fried rice, which was fine but nothing particularly memorable. Overall, the experience was good but not exceptional. The food had some strong points, especially the Szechuan chicken and pan-seared dumplings, but the restaurant ultimately felt more like a solid Chinese takeout spot than a destination dining experience.

The woman who served us was also incredibly helpful and welcoming. I ordered the Hot Numbing Fish Fillet ($18). It had a satisfying kick! It was spicy, and the seasoning was flavorful and aromatic. The fish itself was tender and cooked perfectly. Their menu had many items that seemed appetizing. I plan to drop by in the future to try more of their offerings.

Each experience is just as enjoyable as the first, and the quality remains consistently impressive. The customer service is excellent, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. There is also a wide variety of ingredients available to customize your bowl. Since everything is priced by weight, I recommend selecting only as much as you are prepared to eat. Having tried every option on the menu, my top recommendation is the spicy hot pot beef broth. It is extremely flavorful, though customers should be mindful when choosing their spice level, as even the medium option can be quite spicy. My second favorite is the dry spicy mix, shown in my photo. After experimenting with the different broths, this became my preferred choice. However, it is best suited for those who enjoy a drier style, and the spice level tends to feel more intense compared to the soup-based options. My third choice is the tomato beef broth, which was my least favorite personally. Lastly, the spicy and sour beef broth was acceptable, though it did not particularly appeal to my taste.
