7/23 three employees. Was waiting for more than 10 minutes less than 15 for just an acknowledgment from the staff. This was around 4:45 PM. When I arrived, there was a small group of people and maybe one other person followed by an additional person that walked in after me and was also helped right away. Once everyone cleared out and it was just me and another customer I still was not acknowledged. They looked relieved to have helped everyone and continued small minor tasks, still never looking back to acknowledge me... I can't say for sure what made me so invisible. I began going to the location in Buford, Georgia. The customer service was perfect and because it was my first time there they were able to be very patient with me and explain to me the menu. I ordered one smoothie and then wanted to order another one and even though I was supposed to get my free one the next time I came in she gave me the second one for free. I went in again a couple of days ago and was greeted with the same smile and great customer service. Now, let's talk about this smoothie. So delicious both times. The biggest fan of the food and smoothie combo! I love that they brought plant chicken to the menu and that you can customize it into any wrap. I've only tried the pesto wrap and have yet to venture outside of that because it's just too good! It comes with a side of either a fruit or Vicky's chips (the jalapeño ones are the best)! Most of the smoothies here are pretty good. This place has healthy options for food and drinks but it's not their main focus. You can pick from basic fruit smoothies to the more healthy options. Each of them come in rather big portions and they do list out the calories of each so you know exactly how much you are getting. They can definitely fill you up though. Some of them can last you through a day. This particular location can get busy during the lunch hours, the wait can be a bit long if you're in a hurry. Best times are usually early morning when they just open or right before they close if you want to be in and out in relatively short amount of time. Overall, worth stopping by just for the portions and the price isn't overly expensive. You get good quality and quantity. Hard not to like this place. It's simple and does the job. read more

By far the rudest customer service i have ever had in my Life. The worker named Zelia i think the store manager. As one of the other employees informed me, Is so unprofessional and does not care about customers or about the food. I almost waited 10 minutes at the register to even get noticed and when i did she gave me such a face that made me feel not welcomed at all. when one of the employees was preparing my drink i saw the worker zelia correct the employee about something and when I got my drink, it was chunky and spoiled. when i asked why my smoothie was made this way. It was my first time at a Tropical Smoothie Cafe and I was pleasantly surprised. My friend, who went with me, recommended the place so I just got whatever he got - the chipotle chicken club flatbread with the island green smoothie. The flatbread tasted like a clean chicken gordita (it was delicious) and the smoothie was much more delicious than I expected (and not too sweet!). I ordered chipotle chicken flatbread & pesto chicken flatbread. They all come with a choice of chip, fruit, or kale apple slaw. Idk about the chipotle chicken, but pesto chicken flatbread was the BEST. I think I'll go back more often to get the same thing. Also, if you fill out a survey at the bottom of your receipt, you get a smoothie for 1.99 on your next purchase of wrap or a sandwich. What is great about this place is that has both really good smoothies and great sandwiches. It's a franchise, so no different than any other tropical smoothie Cafés. Tropical Smoothie Cafe is a newer addition to this area, I think they've been here for almost a year now. I finally stopped in a couple weeks ago and loved it so much that I came back again for lunch the very next day. The service is so friendly, and the food and smoothies are yummy and flavorful! Both times I came I ordered a toasted flatbread combo, which comes with a side and a smoothie and costs less than $10 (including tax). I think this is a pretty good price for what you get. The smoothies are huge (24 oz), & the side is your choice of plantains or Mexican street corn. I've only had the plantains and toasted flatbreads so far, but they also have bowls, wraps, salads and breakfast items. Both of flatbreads I've tried were fresh and delicious. The Chicken Cali Club comes with chicken, bacon, smashed avocado, mozzarella, tomatoes, romaine, and a basil garlic aioli & the Fresca Fiesta with Barbacoa comes with barbacoa, mozzarella, romaine, corn salsa, verde aioli, and queso fresco. They also offer a nice smoothie selection, whether you want something healthy or indulgent. I've tried the Acai Berry Boost (acai, pomegranate, banana, blueberries, and strawberries) and the Bahama Mama (strawberries, pineapple, white chocolate, and coconut). This rating is purely due to the lack of customer service I see at this location. If I come in before closing and the employees are complaining that I'm ordering a smoothie 30 minutes before closing so loudly that I can hear them and the cashier gives attitude -there needs to be a serious discussion held on customer service etiquette. Guess what -your closing time is 9pm not 830pm. If you want to clean up and shut down before the store is closed then you have no one to blame that you're recleaning equipment but yourself. This has happened multiple multiple times. I understand you guys are ready to go home but as someone who's worked in the restaurant and retail business in the past knows, be prepared to take care of every customer until that front door is locked. I like Tropical Smoothie Cafe! I really thought this was an independent store until I noticed most of the reviews said it was a chain. Who knew? I guess not me! They're open from 7 am to 9 pm, but I came in for lunch and ordered their 24 oz Island Green Smoothie ($4.99), one of their "superfood" smoothies, that comes with Spinach, kale, mango, pineapple and banana. All of their 24 oz smoothies are made with Turbinado unless you tell them not to, but with the Turbinado they fall right in the middle of places like Smoothie King and Juice Bar in terms of flavor and (apparent) health, I.e. not super sweet (Smoothie King), but not an absence of sugar either (Juice Bar). Maybe I got lucky, but I really enjoyed the flavor of the Island Green Smoothie, and no flavor overpowered the entire drink, like i've experienced before. They do also have food you can order, should the smoothie not be enough, but if you're not starving, I think any of their smoothies will substitute for a meal replacement. Customer service was just fine, and parking was a little crowded, but you can always find a spot, since Tropical Smoothie Cafe is in a shared restaurant strip. I'm not sure what the busy times of the day are here, but it isn't noon, as I was in and out in 5 minutes flat. I'm a little late to the Tropical Smoothie Cafe Party, but I like that i'm here now, and i'll be back for more of their delicious smoothies. Give them a shot if you're in the area. read more

Pretty pricey for lunch but if you just get a smoothie it's not too bad. I got the combo which is get any food entree and any smoothie for an additional $3. I drank the smoothie later on as my entree filled me up. I had the el verde which was good but it lacked queso fresco and I wish it had more plantains. Kudos to TJ, Diamond & LaShay for the excellent customer service. I recently discovered this location and I'm sad that I'm actually moving because of the staff here. I was undecided about a smoothie selection and TJ recommended the Avacolada with kiwi and it was delicious. Diamond and LaShay were friendly and courteous! The cherry on the top was when TJ wanted me to taste the smoothie to ensure I liked it so I would be dissatisfied. The cafe was nice & clean with prompt service. They have happy hour until 10 am! Don't get the wraps they are terrible I have tried several and each one worse than the next, this time the Buffalo chicken wrap takes the cake for old garbage wrapped in a tortilla. I love smoothies and therefore excited to see this place open right by where I live. They have a wide variety to choose from including additional super foods which can be added. I also like the fact that they have food for breakfast and lunch like wraps and bowls. I got the avocado smoothie which had avocado, kale, spinach, coconut, pineapple and lemon in it. I was scared I wasn't going to like the lemon flavor since I'm not a huge fan but to my surprise it wasn't that overpowering. The smoothie itself was a little over 5 dollars but it's big in size (compared to paying the same amount at juice bar and getting have the drink). Their open from 7am which is convenient as well. I went around 8:39 and to my surprise it was empty so I didn't wait at all. I was in and out of there in 5 min. Staff was nice and friendly. It's located on the corner of Lawrenceville suwanee and satellite and it's easy to miss if your not looking for it. I unfortunately had a stomach virus, and the only craving I had was for a smoothie, which ultimately made me feel a lot better. I came in around 4pm and was the only customer. They have a pretty extensive selection of drinks and boosts you can add. I ordered the sunrise sunset which contained pineapples, mangos, orange juice, and strawberries I believe. I also added an energy boost. The prices are pretty fair (around 4-6$). The customer service was good. The only downside is that each drink contains roughly 75+ grams of sugar but I feel like Tropical Smoothie Cafe is more macro friendly than the other smoothie chains. read more

Tropical Smoothie is located in a small plaza, which makes it a little tricky getting in and out of and there is limited parking. The restaurant is decorated with modern lighting and seats and the staff is fairly young. There are roughly 8 tables and one bar area so seating isn't too bad but it probably isn't ideal for large groups. The menu doesn't have a large variety in food but the smoothie variety is pretty good. Tropical Smoothie seems to be more focused on healthy life styles rather than just the "food" if that makes sense. Their food can be served in flatbread or bowl style but I think it is a little expensive. Their smoothies, on the other hand, is a good price for the size of the drinks. I would drop by here and there but I don't think it would be a regular stop for me. read more
