I brought my family here today for an out-of-town visit. As a fellow culinary professional, I hold high standards for guest service, and my experience today was incredibly disappointing. My sister was ordering with her toddler, who is on the autism spectrum and struggles with verbal commands. While she was holding him, he reached toward the sneeze guard glass. Instead of a polite, professional request, the male manager approached my sister aggressively, yelling at her and threatening to remove our entire party. It was alarming to witness a manager raise his voice at a young mother and her child. When my mother asked another employee (Mahandra) if that individual was indeed the manager, she began to argue with us as well. While they claimed it is store policy to prohibit touching the glass, there is no justification for the aggressive, hostile manner in which this was handled. A simple, polite explanation would have immediately resolved the situation, as my sister would have gladly complied. Beyond this interaction, I had a previous experience at this location where their steak caused me food poisoning. Most toppings are included in the price of the salad, but there is an extra charge for protein or premium toppings. Multiple dressing options as you get to the end of the line. Also, they offer crunchies for texture, try the sesame sticks, yum!! In the end you can choose a carb. I always get the croissant. It is a multi grain, buttery, flakey oval of goodness. Put all this together, and you have one full meal. One thing I wish they had more variety of is soup. They offer tomato soup, but that is about all. Overall, def a filling and healthy meal option. OH. MY. SALATA! This place is great and the fact that there are multiple locations it is even better. They have a plethora of veggies so if you need to reach your daily veggie portion this is your place. They have about 6 different types of lettuces , tomatoes, , green pepper , onions , chicken , steak , turkey and at 12 to 16 different types of dressing. This is pure magic and the amount will fill you up. If you leave hungry, you did not ask for an extra scoop. The staff is great and very friendly, they will mix the salad for you and you can take it to the office I recently had their whole wheat croissant and they were UHMAZING! The cookies are good also. Talk about having your salad and cookie at the same place. The best part it is that the staff is fast and efficient! I usually order a small salad $7 with salmon +$4 or tofu +$3 and artichokes +$1. I load it up with kale and spinach base mix, plenty of vegetables and toppings, and a fresh herb vinaigrette. They offer over 50 toppings, 10 house-made dressings, and 12 meat and meatless proteins. The ingredients look and taste fresh. The fresh herb vinaigrette is refreshing. There are times when you have a feel for salad. I have tried this place on doordash once and the price was really high for a salad however the amount of food you get was overwhelming. Me and my friend just got done with basketball and we wanted to feel good and go get a salad, therefore we decided to go to Salata. The closet salata is near peachtree corner in the forum. We arrived after about a 15 min drive from Doraville. We walked in the restaurant and the first thing you noticed is the lighting inside was very dim. We thought they were closed however there we 3 people in line so hurried to get in the line before anyone else came in. We waited in line for 10 min. there was one guy out in the front taking care of the customers and 2 other guys in the back just talking. The customers were getting annoyed and saying to the guy in the front "why are you the only one out here working, what are they doing". The guy went inside and after a min another guy came out to help. After about 20min in line we were able to order. This place is like sweet tomatoes but they make the plates for you instead of you making your own plate. There are so many different choices to pick from as well as some heathy proteins. Don't get me wrong, the price can jump with proteins. I added about 2 different proteins and the price jumped from $14 to $22. However it was definitely worth every penny for me. I've been to salata twice within a 2 week period for a healthy lunch/dinner. It's kinda like a chipotle but salad bar version. They have huge variety of fresh veggies, fruits, nuts, carbs and proteins. Some ingredients are canned. This place for me is great. I have not had a bad experience. The employees I have interacted with, have been nice and helpful. The outside sign, grabs your attention. It invites you to come in and try the deliciousness within. I love salads and this place fits the bill. The regular bowl is a great price and you can easily get two meals out of it. You have a choice of several different greens. I normally get the arugula and arcadian mix. Occasionally, I will just get Salata mix. You have a choice of several different vegetables to add to the salad greens. My only issue is they run out of some of the items. Oh, also the carrots are cut to thickly and no celery. You get a choice of several fruit items and seed and nuts. Several cheese and dressing options. My favorite is the Avocado Ranch. The protein options are chicken, shrimp, salmon and now steak. They have two choices for soup, alas my favorite the white bean one is no longer offered. You get a choice of a multigrain roll. But, I love the pita chips!! This my favorite salad place! Everyone had an upside down smile the entire time I was in the line, which was about twenty minutes. Not a welcoming atmosphere at all. The final guy that took my payment was kind but still didn't seem to like his job. The jalapeno avocado dressing was fantastic and I liked how everything was labeled to allow me to go gluten free. I got the large with the smoked turkey and it was a good option. Expensive at over $15 for the salad alone but I did download the app to my phone so I hope to start building up some points. I live on the other side of the Johns Creek store so I think I'll try that one next or one of the two Alpharetta stores and I'll hope for a much less depressing atmosphere. I really wanted to love this place, but they continuously fail at customer service and mobile orders: Placed a mobile order at 7:04pm, I walked in at 7:30pm. After waiting about 5 min staff said, it's not made yet, but will start on it now give us a few minutes. I stepped outside gave them 10 mins, Salad still not ready at 7:40pm. Received salad at 7:50. 45 minutes after order was placed, they continued to serve every customer that walked in the door while I just waited for my mobile order. I expressed my dissatisfaction and was told there would be some guest cards at the location for me for future use. I placed another mobile order, which again wasn't ready until they served every customer that walked up. I then inquired about the guest cards and the answer was, they knew nothing about it and take it up with whomever I spoke to. First and foremost, manager that called me should have offered to mail them to me as a courtesy. Instead asked me to go back to store to pick up and yet that was another customer service fail. So I'm addicted to this place! Thankfully I don't work on this side of town anymore or I'd be there everyday. So I had a taste for salad and this is the perfect place to go. Where else can you go for unlimited toppings and dressings. So there were two teenage girls preparing the salads and they were the absolute best workers ever. So respectful. They let me try any sample I requested. You first choose the lettuce and I liked the Salata mix. Then you choose you veggies. If you prefer a protein it's $3-4 extra. You choose your dressing and then there are more extras at the end. Can you believe all of this for a huge salad $8 without protein. I've been waiting quite awhile for this place to open. Now that I tried it I have a split decision. On the one hand, the ingredients are all very fresh and varied, about 36 of which that are included. There are extra cost toppings (e.g., avocado, quinoa, etc.). I chose the larger $8 bowl (opposed to the smaller $7 bowl). It's a big mixing bowl so it's hipster and practical since nothing spills in a bowl that large. You can also get a wrap for $7 or so. The meat is an extra $3, which is where the other hand comes in. It's an $11 salad and for an appetite like mine it didn't cut it. The included bread didn't hit the spot either although it was soft and tasty. I had to eat a protein bar afterwards. The interior is clean and contemporary-ish. There is plenty of seating for about 45ish. You order like Chipotle as you go down the line. The workers were all very friendly and helpful although I question whether they were overstaffed. In lieu of fountain drinks, they have a tea tap where you self-serve tea from beer tap looking handles. You can get bottled sodas. Overall, it's fresh and tasty but at $11 for a salad, I'll go to Jason's across the street. read more

If you want your a little on the heavier side they have multiple proteins to choose from including, grilled chicken, grilled turkey, grilled shrimp and salmon or you can keep it completely vegan! Great alternative to something like a Sweet Tomatoes. My only gripe is all the proteins are cold. Mostly a personal preference on that one. This is a great place to get a heaping salad filled with practically every veggie option available. Glad to see something like this pop up in my neck of the woods. Great for dieting or lifestyle change toward more veggies. I've tried the Teas and lemonades, all of which are pretty good. Pretty much a personal choice.
