Last night it was really cold and after running around we decided to go out for dinner at 9pm. Yes 9pm. We chose this restaurant. Great choice because they still had what we wanted. This was my first time. Half of the group had been here before. First of all I like the set up. The decor is top tier. I liked the fact that you order at a counter or code on the phone. No waiting for a server. Everything is paid for up front. You still get the feel of a sit down restaurant. They bring your food to the table. The dinnerware is heavy and colorful. Very festive. I ordered 1/4 Chicken Breast in Manho Lime flavor and Brussels Sprouts. We also had Chicken Thighs, Chicken Wings, Portuguese Rice Fries, Cauliflower, Sweet Potatoes and Garlic Bread on the table as well. This international chain started in South Africa and has now spread all over the world. We initially saw this chain in Canada when we' were visiting but did not have the chance to go then. We were therefore thrilled to see it come into town. ATMOSPHERE: elements of African themes are present: from the music, to decorations. I really appreciated that there was a sink to wash hands. SERVICE: we were greeted to our seats and had the option of self ordering vs going to the main kiosk to order. Everyone was so attentive and there was not just one service member to help assist. For example, I had one person give me the menu and help to my seat- another take my order - another take my dirty trays - another bring me my food - another bring me takeout boxes. Team members genuinely seem like they enjoy their jobs. FOOD: we got the chicken platter w/ fries + rice + garlic bread. The platter was so filling and we had plenty to take home. The outside of the chicken is perfectly crispy and the inside is juicy. If you cannot decide which spice level, there is a countertop with additional sauces to choose from. My boyfriend and I shared the Full Platter--whole chicken with Peri Mac and Brussels sprouts, and we added mashed potatoes. The chicken was hot, but the sides were lukewarm; the Brussels sprouts were excellent, while the mashed potatoes had odd chunks that didn't feel like potato-- I wasn't a fan but my boyfriend was. They let you pick the sauce spice level you want and offer all the sauces for free to add to any of your dishes at a self service bar. We got the chickenbreast with coleslaw in a garlic sandwich with 2 sides. This ended up $20. And the peri peri chicken bowl for $13. They brought the food out to us within 10 minutes and service was nice. After that initial food delivery, everything including beverages is self service. The chicken felt a little overcooked in both dishes. Not dry but not tender. I got the chicken thigh expecting more of the tender meat but didnt get that experience. The chicken is underseasoned, maybe on purpose since they're known for their sauces for flavor. The Mac and cheese was watery and $2 extra. The dishes are okay and felt kind of like a home-cooked meal. I would have preferred the chicken to be more tender and a little more seasoned. Even the salad portion of the peri peri bowl had no dressing, but I didnt feel the chicken sauces were a good fit for the salad. The milder sauces were very acidic (lemon and herb). Virtually no table service. you must order from phone with a QR code or go inside. You are then asked to tip 15%-25% before we've even seen a waiter. The food (quite decent) eventually arrives and that's it, you never see the waiter again, the table isn't cleared and you must get your own water from a dedicated station. However, it was not very good so I ended up switching with the DH for his coke. We ordered the buffalo wings, a peri peri bowl and a quarter thigh meal with rice. The food came out pretty quick, the chicken was hot and juicy. I thought the lemon and herb sa ice was a little strong on the lemon. The buffalo was delicious and so was the extra hot. My only complaint is that my side of rice was in a small bowl but when I went to take a forkful there was literally one fork of rice in that side dish. Was out running errands with the wife and decided to stop in for lunch at Nando's. So glad that we did! We were seated as soon as we got into the restaurant and the staff were extremely helpful. One of the managers walked us to our time and walked us through the menu, offering recommendations for us to consider. He also walked us through their unique ordering set up: you order all your food and drinks ahead of time and continued to check in on us throughout the meal to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. As for the food it was delicious! I got the 2 piece chicken with a side of Fries and my wife got the rainbow bowl. The 2 piece bone in chicken was flavored to perfection but the chicken breast for the rainbow bowl could have used a bit more flavor. Overall everything was great and definitely had us considering coming back later this week to try something new. Very excited to have a nandos near us and I LOVED it! We came for dinner with some friends and the food was cheap and service was quick. We sat outside on the patio since it was a nice night and the 4 of us decided to share a family platter that came with 2 sides as well as some hummus to start with. The chicken was soooo good! It was absolutely massive and honestly a lot of food for 4 of us so I think it could realistically feed 5 or 6 people. They also had a lot of fun sauces to go with the chicken, my favorite was a spicy garlic sauce but the spicy lime one was also a hit. For our sides we had the Mac n cheese (delicious!) and the cauliflower (just to be a little healthier lol but still really good). They are only doing sit down service right now and the overall experience is a little confusing. You can go inside and order with a cashier or order at your table. We have been waiting for Nando's to open for so long here in Peachtree Corners. When this spot opened up, we went with a couple of friends to go try out. I first had Nando's when I went to DC, and since then I have never had it again. So what's the big deal about Nando's? It's South African grilled chicken. It's chicken that has been marinated in a sauce overnight and then when you order it, it's grilled to order. If that's not enough flavor, they offer other sauces on the side to either increase the spiciness of your chicken or you can just mix and match. I got the whole chicken with two sides. The flavor that we chose was the mango and lime and we both thought it was really flavorful. It wasn't spicy, but I enjoyed the mix between the two. We also ordered the corn on the cob and Portuguese rice as the sides. The rice was a nice addition and compliment with the chicken and then the corn on the cob was nicely grilled. My mom enjoyed her strawberry lemonade and would get it again. We ordered the chicken Caesar salad as well as the Nando sandwich. I throughly enjoyed the Nando sandwich and would get it again. After being seated and looking through the menu, you have to go to the counter at the front to pay and order. I went with the garlic bread CLT and a side of their fries. I am a huge fan of their garlic bread and loved that they incorporated it into a sandwich. They do have a station for drinks and all their sauces on the other side which you can get to after ordering. It took 10min to get our food and while I was surprised on the portion being a bit smaller, it was filling. The sandwich was pretty tasty, and the fries were pretty good as well! We were given water glasses and were told that we could either get fountain drinks or we could order specialty drinks that would be brought to the table. Craft drinks were a great selection, interesting mixtures and very delicious. The food was extremely flavorful not dry at all and came in great portions. The flavor profile was very distinct and different and I definitely will be back. It is something that you get a taste for. I think I was more impressed by the fact that they had a sink to wash your hands right beside where you prepare your drink, grab napkins and utensils and get your silverware. We checked out a new addition to Gwinnett county. It was Friday night and the wait time was 20 mins. Nice outside tables with standing heaters. It took us a while to understand what was going on but the manager was sweet enough to explain the ordering process for all the first timers. Food was fabulous! The chicken was soft and well seasoned just enough to add the sauce as your liking. The only thing was that we had to wait 25 mins for food after we ordered. I'm not sure because it was so new or busy on a Friday night. It was good that we can just get the drinks and sauces and don't have to wait for the servers.
