Took advantage of the free delivery through the restaurant's website tonight. I was wanting something different for dinner and the positive reviews and raves for the green sauce enticed me to try Picaso. I ordered the full chicken with 3 sides & sauces for hubby and me. We chose salad, black beans, and yuca fries. The order was packed well and arrived hot. They separated the cold items (salad and sauces) from the hot items which was very appreciated. The salad was crisp and the garlic herb dressing packed a major flavor bomb. We LOVE garlic and this dressing delivered it in abundance. No chance vampires would be visiting us. The black beans were seasoned well but were a bit on the salty side. The yuca fries were ok - they may turn out better if you eat them fresh at the restaurant. The chicken was very flavorful!!! You could taste the marinade/seasoning throughout the meat, not just on the beautifully browned skin. We only ate the thigh/drumstick pieces and are saving the breast/wing pieces for another meal. Although, I will probably put the leftovers in a casserole or pot pie or something that has a sauce because the thigh/drumsticks were slightly on the dry side and if the dark meat was a little dry, I suspect the white meat parts will be more so. As for the sauces, most reviews I read praised the green sauce, but enjoyed the yellow one best. Both were a little bit spicy and to us both were savory (some reviews said the yellow was sweet - we did not think so at all). We really enjoyed our dinner and the price was very good.

Your first thought would probably be like, ooh this place is so tiny and inside a farmers market, how could this be any good? But trust me on this peeps, you've got to fight that thought and make your way inside the farmers market no matter how much it smells like produce, fish and meat because if you don't, you'll miss out on one of the tastiest Peruvian chicken in town. What's special about this Peruvian chicken? It's 100% Halal! Omg can you believe it? To all my Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Indian, and Arab friends- this is gonna be your go to spot for Peruvian chicken. How's it different than rotisserie chicken from the grocery store? It actually has seasoning unlike the regular rotisserie chicken, the marinade is prepared with lots of fresh and dry herbs which then is used to rub the chicken, literally everywhere . Which means, every bite you take- gives a delicious fragrance that you wouldn't wanna miss! I do agree that it is a little bit on the pricy side but you'll only be spending $2-$3 extra than other Peruvian spots. But if you do care about halal chicken, that extra couple of dollars is nothing compared to the taste. I usually get mine as a meal with fries and salad but feel free to try their other sides. What's the second best thing here? All the sauces, the green spicy sauce, ahi sauce, yellow sauce, everything makes it a perfect meal. You can't skip on the sauces, I usually get extras to go and use it at home with my other food. They're 0.50 cents a container. Pour that sauce on white rice and your chicken- there isn't anything more delicious than this. My mouth is so watery as I'm writing this review! Have fun here you guys!

Half Rotisserie Chicken & Side (sauces for chicken are in the white bag). Looks sort of small in pic but it was a lot of food.

I got the half plate which is a hefty portion of chicken (enough for 2 people in my opinion) with fries and salad. It came around to $16 total. They gave a lot of fries which was nice! Sauces for the chicken were good. To be more specific about the chicken, it was juicy, flavorful, and skin was nice and crispy. Located in the food court. Person at the cash register was super nice. Will be back!

HALAL Picaso is located INSIDE the food court of city farmers market.. A native of CA, this chicken reminded me of a tastier version of 'el pollo loco.' The spicy yellow sauce (along with other sauces) paired well with the flavorful chicken. Picaso is a healthier option than oily and sodium rich kfc and Louisiana chicken. Some halal peri-peri joints want $50 for a whole chicken smothered in sauce with a couple sides -- yeah, I don't think so. Better value, better taste--I'll stick with this chicken.

I came here during lunch time. It is located in the food court inside the market. There are plenty of tables. I tried the quarter chicken (I asked for dark meat), fries and coleslaw. The chicken (leg and thigh) was delicious and juicy. I enjoyed it. Fries were crispy. Coleslaw was okay- it could be improved. Overall my meal experience was great. I'll return.

Whole Chicken. Good for sharing between 2-4 people.

Delicious Halal Peruvian Style Chicken. Super flavorful and juicy. Pair it with white rice and the tasty sauces for one awesome meal. It is located at the food court of the City Farmers Market in Duluth(all the way to the left side if you are facing the market). There is common seating in front of the store. Service is friendly and quick. The prices are a little high but considering it is halal, filling and delicious, it is worth it. Definitely recommended. Carpe Diem with your taste buds good people.

This is what I got 2 quarter legs and rice that's was not soo great at all

What was in the pictures on their website is not what I got. Food was Terrible!! Peruvian where exactly? Never ever again! Didn't even have plantains like how!! And chicken quarters were dried out worst food ever. I had to force me self to eat cause I paid for it but threw the rest in the trash. Update to the owner I did order separately and was told you guys did not have any. I am very competent and always eat at Peruvian places and know plantains are separate it is what it is and I posted my pic since it seems I must be a liar.

Most places around just offer the mini sized ones, so when I came across Los Maracuchos online and saw the more standard sized ones, we set out for an adventure. Driving up, we were a bit confused. We didn't realize at first, but it's actually located inside the Wyndham Garden Hotel. We parked and stepped inside, and walked up to the hostess/waitress at the restaurant. She seated us and showed us where the QR code on the table was to view the menu. We already had an idea as to what we wanted, so we placed the order as soon as she came to check on us. She was very helpful, kind, and so lovely! To drink, I enjoyed a papelón con limón. It was very refreshing, especially on this hot summer day. To eat (because we knew we would want to take things home as well), we ordered 4 orders of tequeños (4 come in 1 order), 3 cheese empanadas, and 1 cheese cachapa. Everything was absolutely delicious! The tequeños were cheesy and exceeded our expectations! Of course the garlic sauce that came with it was divine. The empanadas were probably the crunchiest we've ever had--so great and flavorful! The cachapa was perfectly balanced with savory cheese, sweet corn cake, and tangy nata sauce. So, did we find the best tequeño in the area? YES!!! We will definitely be returning to try more things! Thank you for serving us!

Let me begin by the service - fantastic. Unsure of her name, but she was the only individual working there. When we arrived, the place was empty. The experience felt very personal, she would approach our table, give us suggestions on her favorites (which were spot on) and was just a joy to be around. As for food, we ordered 2 Mandocas (fried plantains w/brown sugar + cheese). Delicious! I ordered a veggie quesadilla which had french fries as an accompaniment. The quesadilla had unique additions you wouldn't normally find in other establishments such as zucchini, squash, corn, carrots, etc. It was delightful and much more filling than looks suggest. My girlfriend ordered the Arepitas - Two white corn patty stuffed with shredded chicken or pork, lettuce, 4 cheese, ketchup and home mayo. She enjoyed it and also said it was pretty filling. For drinks, I ordered venezuelan soda (Frescolita) which is essentially cream soda + bubblegum. Weird, I know but it's fantastic. My girlfriend ordered passionfruit juice which was very refreshing. Our total (pre-tip) ended up being around 33 dollars which is great. We recommend trying this place out in favour of other nearby Venezuelan restaurants in order to have a unique experience and great service.

I came by today (my second time here) and the pan de queso was fresh and had just come out of the oven along with some sweet empanadas. I came for some empanadas de carne, buñuelos, milhojas, and some pan de boño, of course. When I saw the pan de queso coming out hot, I decided to go all out and order some of those too. With that said, the buñelos today were much fresher than the last time I had them, and so were the empanadas! The pan de queso was still warm while I was eating it and so good! I ordered an empanada con arequipe and somehow I ended up with an empanada chambray (guayaba and a cream cheese), which was actually a great mishap because it was amazingggggg and is officially my new favorite item from here! The pan de boño was surprisingly a little hard like it had been sitting. The rest of the food was so fresh! The man who's always there said the milhojas were just restocked, but after eating everything I came home and put my slice in the fridge. The last time I was here was at the end of the night and I wouldn't recommend coming then as things certainly weren't as fresh as they were this second time around.
