My Peruvian boyfriend said this place is the most authentic and reminiscent of Peru! So glad to have tried this place! Food is great service is great ! You just might have to call and ask if they're serving a specific dish that day

Excellent option for weekday lunch. Fast, and for $13 there's nothing better nearby. You get a soup and large entree. I recommend their "seco", but any option they have available is great (the breaded fish with beans, rice and onion salad; breaded chicken, or saltado de pollo are all excellent too). This is my go-to lunch spot every week. Worth a visit.

I was guided to this spot for an amazing burger. And I tried it. It was just okay. Mostro Burger is nestled in the City Farmer's market in Duluth. It's part of the food court, and well when we in there let's just say not all of the patrons believed that we were in a pandemic... Luckily the person making the food had a mask on. The burger was pretty plain, it wasn't anything super exciting and I definitely wouldn't say that it's the best burger everywhere. Egg, bacon, cheese, with a sesame bun... yeah that's about it. It was a burger, plain and simple. I think next time I'm here that I will probably get something else if I ever come back. If you're looking for a different experience, I would say to order a different dish other than the burger. If you want to try it, go for it, but I would highly suggest to order a second dish to go along with the burger because after I had mine it was sort of unsatisfying and I just wanted another dish.

    It's inside the farmers market

Delicious food and kind staff. It's located inside the farmers market on Pleasant Hill in the same shopping center as Smoothie King, Burger King and Texaco. I had a delicious steak meal with eggs and rice. Soooo good. I've never tried anything else but I know all the food is good because they always have people waiting for food. The parking lot may look packed but it's because the farmers market is packed with people. Don't worry lol Please stop by and support this small business.

This place is located in the food court inside the farmers market. I ordered the Lomo saltado and it was ready in minutes. Great portion and delicious. I will return to try other items!

I ordered a Lomo Saltado and it was delicioso!!! Juicy, tasty, just perfect! Also they were quick, not like other Peruvians spots that u wait longer. Great service and fast service. Loved that they had one pint of Lucuma ice cream yeiiii!!!

My favorite place to go on the weekends! They do have special dishes on the weekends that they don't normally carry during the week. First, you need to get past the "initial impression" of how some dishes may sound. Peruvian (and Latin) cuisine was meant to take advantage of EVERY part of the cow/animal being cooked, hence some of the more "traditional" ingredients. If you can get past that, then you are in for a trip in flavors you may have never experienced before I personally recommend: - Lomo saltado: Basically a "dryer" version of a stew with French fries and meat. - Seco: A full on stew with the softest cut of meat you have ever tasted. Served with white rice and pinto beans. - Cau cau: This one may sound odd, but is it the cow's stomach cooked to perfection in a semi-curry sauce. Delicious! - Arroz con Pato: Green rice with a generous portion of stewed duck. - Chanfainita: Cow's lung prepared with a delicious sauce/stew. - Pasta verde: Green sauce (Spinach-based) with pasta, and a steak flank on top of it. Everything else is good too, but I don't enjoy the regular and mundane sandwiches. I would do away if them if I owned the place. They close on Wednesdays - just FYI. Enjoy!

    Anticuchos con rachi

Amazing food! Amazing service! Very authentic, wonderful flavors, almost like stepping back into Peru when you eat there!!! You MUST try the anticuchos on the weekends! Also our family favorites are Lomo Saltado, Tallarines Verdes, Bistec a lo pobre, Cau Cau, Arroz con Pato. If you are a fan of latin style white rice, their rice is AMAZING! I always try to make it at home and fall short!!

I choose to eat at Mostro Burger during my Saturday lunch UYE yesterday and absolutely loved my meal. I ordered lomo salt ado, which is what I always get the few times that I have had the pleasure of eating Peruvian fare. The service here is warm and friendly. If you speak little Spanish, there may be a slight communication barrier, but I see that they really try to find alternative ways to convey what they mean/understand their clients. The portion was tremendous and I ended up wrapping up more than half of it. Score! I get lomo saltado for another meal! I also wanted to save some room for my belly, as Jose O. was eying the rice pudding, which then got me wondering what it was like. I went back to grab a bottle of water (I was wondering why I felt so parched--I hadn't gotten anything to drink) and the rice pudding from the fridge with the see-through door. I paid for everything and my total came up to $23-something. I was slightly perplexed, because the price of the entree was on the menu overhead and no matter how I did the calculation in my head, I couldn't get the rice pudding served in a clear plastic cup and 16.9-oz. bottle of water to equal anything more than $8. Still should have put me under 20 bucks. I asked for a break-down of the bill and clarified that I was only paying for my lomo saltado (William G. also ordered this and it seemed to me that they were charging me for 2). Anyway, in an attempt to not make a scene and seeing how nice the ladies were treating me (they were over the moon to know that they could talk to me in Spanish), I paid. Our group stayed for quite some time, as we exchanged current events and jokes. Towards the end of this, a woman who was not there when I ordered/paid for my food came to my table with the one who rung me up. She explained that there had been a mistake and I was charged $10 extra. She gave me the money back in cash (even though I paid with my debit card). The cashier was so embarrassed and apologized at least 5 times. I told her to not worry, that we are all humans and it was not a big deal at all. So not only was the food good, the people there are honest. Just a tip: if you are unsure about the total, try to get an explanation, especially if you will not be around long enough for someone to figure out the mistake. Due to the language differences (if you don't speak Spanish), I would suggest that maybe you get the prices for everything before paying. If I had asked how much the water and dessert were, maybe the situation could have been avoided. I am in no way dissing this place; in fact, according to a Jose O., Mostro Burger is one of the oldest surviving eating establishment in Duluth's Assi food court. So I still give them my stamp of approval and encourage you to try out this non-Asian gem in this increasingly Asian area of metro Atlanta.

    Cerviche made with Talapia
    Ricky C.

An ad for Mostro Burger's Cerviche flashed on my Facebook feed one day and I absolutely love cerviche so i decided to give it a try. It turned out to be a horrible decision! Maybe everything else at that place is good, but the cerviche is horrible. They used Talapia of all fish!!! I've had cerviche from many different places and many different countries but never once had it with Talapia! Total waste of $12!

    Milanesa de pollo
    Morgan M.

This place is located in the ASSI good court. This is Peruvian cuisine. You get a lot of food for the price you pay. Prices aren't too bad except they're currently charging $2 for a can of soda. I ordered a plate of milanesa de pollo for only $10. Served with rice and a small salad.

    Bistec A Lo Pobre
    Warren C.

Got a new job in the area and found Mostro Burger online. The lunch specials are pretty good. For around 6.99 you get a large bowl of soup (typically chicken noodle), a drink (I always choose Inka Cola), and the entree. The entree I had most recently was Bistec a lo Pobre, which was a thin steak served with fries, rice topped by a fried egg, fried bananas, and a small salad. I was very pleased at the meal's portions and authenticity. The environment is in a large Hispanic/Oriental Grocery store which isn't very desirable, but the small staff are wonderful ladies who reciprocate your kindness 5-fold. I'd go every day if I could afford it haha.

The food came out pretty fast... and it looked awesome! (See pictures) the Gouda burger has lettuce, tomato, onion, Gouda, bacon, and shoe string potato chips on top of a good sized black angus patty. This was maybe the best burger I have had since I moved to GA! How are people not swarmed all over this establishment eating here! This was amazing! It was "ohhhhhh my Goddie to dam Hottie!!!" The burger was juicy and packed with amazing flavor! The addition of the shoe strings grave it a crunch that I just loved! I didn't even put catchup on it... I ate it as they brought it... nothing added nothing removed. It was phenominal! My son's hit dog was huge.. and loaded with condiments... onion, tomato's, relish on a monster dog. BW has won the last two years Burger Week so I had high expectations. Also looking at the menu, I will be certain to visit again as it had some awesome looking burgers listed. The Burger Experience The description promised a lot: a double 1/4lb burger on a toasted brioche bun, loaded with fried mozzarella, crispy bacon, sweet-smoky bourbon bacon jam, fresh lettuce, and ripe tomato. While the burger was definitely tasty it sadly missed  the mark as vibes didn't  match the promo photo or description. Maybe it was due to Burger Week Kitchen Fatigue, who knows but I hope the kitchen sees this review and steps up their presentation.  Comparing the promo shot to the actual burger was a big miss. The promo showed a perfectly architectural tower with massive onion straws, while the actual burger relied more on the fried mozzarella and bacon for bulk. It was a solid burger, but the kitchen missed the mark IMO. The Sides & Service The real star of the show might have been the Waffle Sweet Potato Fries. I asked for them to be extra crispy, and the kitchen nailed it--perfectly crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. As for the service, it was just okay. It was a busy Saturday afternoon during a Burger Week so it was a packed house, so while it wasn't stellar, it was functional. In fact, the table next to use was seated after us, had more people 4vs2 and  they served and nearly finished before our food even arrived to the table. Final Verdict If you're in Norcross it's worth a stop to check out B&W based on the menu options but don't expect too much from the Burger Week Burger.
