a plate of food on a table

So I ordered through Uber Eats and I am so glad I did. Some dishes seem more overpriced than other peruvian restaurants I've been to but this has to be one of the best (in my opinion). The food was so delicious and everything tasted fresh, definitely dishes I would order again along with anything else in their menu. I've passed the place before, seems a bit simple from outside but I am hoping for a pleasant and delicious dinning experience when I go.

Great food and drinks, service was decent as well as the environment ! must try pisco sour with passion fruit !

Chaufa (main and side) and a Whole Chicken. Also, the various sauces.

Our go-to place for delicious Peruvian Style Chicken. We have been here more time than we can count. We have tried other items but this is our set order for every time visit: Salchipapas: French fries and hot dog. A very basic kids item but I love it with their hot sauce. Whole Chicken: Not your average rotisserie chicken. This chicken is tender, juicy, and is a flavor explosion. Very well seasoned and can be eaten as is. However, adding the green sauce and hot sauce adds another level of deliciousness. Chaufa De Vejetales (Peruvian Vegetable Fried Rice): Perfect pairing with the chicken. Sauces: Cheese Sauce (good), Green Sauce (tasty and cuts the richness), and hot sauce (very spicy but I love it). Give this place a shot and Carpe Diem with your Taste buds.

Came by for lunch on a Monday afternoon with my cousin at his suggestion as he has been here before and likes their food. I ordered the Rustica Wrap which came with 2 sides and chose the plantains and a salad. The chicken in the wrap was good but the rest of the wrap could have used some more flavor. The salad was decent and I really liked the dressing it came with, but the plantains were disappointing as they were pretty dry and didn't have much flavor. My cousin ordered the chicharron de pescado which he enjoyed. I tried some too and we agreed the fish tasted fresh and the batter was light. Overall, service was quick (although we were the only ones in the restaurant) and portions were large. While I wasn't blown away by the food, it was still solid at a reasonable price point ($26 pre-tip for the 2 of us)

La Brasa Rustica is a Peruvian cuisine restaurant. They offer several dishes from Peru. Lots of variety on the menu. The food itself is pretty good. The chicken dish I ordered was juicy and tender. It had lots of flavor. Some of the dishes are fairly simple. Mostly just meat and side of rice or veggies. The menu itself has a lot of options but unless you're a native, you might have no idea what to order. Our waitress couldn't really help explain some of the dishes either due to the language barrier. She tried though. A few items on the menu were not available at the time I was there and I have heard from others this isn't that uncommon. The service was really just okay and the wait on the food can be a little long. Overall, food was good. Service could have been a bit better. Definitely would recommend have some knowledge of Peruvian cuisine before going so you can really get the most out of your visit there.

I've passed by numerous times on my commute to work but was finally able to stop. It was a full service sit down restaurant, not what I was expecting at all. I thought I would see chicken on a rotisserie and have a big charcoal and spice aroma, but it did not. I looked through the menu and settled on Chaufa de Mariscos and a side of yucca fries (I will never not order yucca ) to snack on in the car. Everything was tasted good. The rice dish was a big portion and had a ton of shrimp, mussels, and octopus. The yucca and yellow sauce were good as well. The inside of the restaurant didn't feel spectacularly clean, so I waited in my car for the short 10 minute wait while they prepared my take-out. There were 3 tables with patrons inside, none wearing masks because they were eating, so that was another reason I felt better waiting outside. Maybe next time I will try some chicken and something with more spice. PS. Make sure you're tipping EXTRA! 20% is not enough.

My husband has driven by this unassuming location for a while. Reviews on yelp and google were good so when we were up for something different we gave this place a try. So happy we did and look forward to going back to make more adventurous choices. This is a place the local hispanics eat so we knew this would be good. The menu took time to navigate because we were not familiar with Peruvian food. We settled on 3 dishes with a plan to share. We ordered on the safe side to just get a sense of the place: *Saltado a la Rustica* This was a delicious very flavorful authentic dish. Chicken, steak, mushrooms tossed with French fries, onions, tomatoes. All blended together and it was just tasty! Not spicy. *Pollo Anticucho (chicken kabobs)* 3 skewers with 3 pieces of white meat chicken grilled with special spices and served with a onion and tomato salad tossed in a lime vinaigrette and a small saucer of super hot sauce made with red Peruvian peppers. This was a sauce that warms up in heat. I could eat a few bites but had to stop. My husband loved it and could eat the whole thing just fine. I loved the tangy onions and tomatoes with this dish. Next time I would ask for extra. *Tallarin Verde con Bistek (basil pasta with grilled sirloin on top)* We ordered this for the kids. The chef was generous and gave us an extra slice of steak. It was cut thin with a nice seasoning and was on top of pasta tossed in a creamy basil sauce. This was a delicious and huge dish. We took leftovers home. Not spicy and a nice safe way to eat here We already have planned what to eat next time based on the waitress' recommendations. We'll try the roasted chicken with special seasonings, beef heart kabobs and the Leche de Tigre cerviche. It took some time to get our food but it was worth it. There are other drinks and appetizers to explore in time but our first experience was a happy one!

Jalea with ají panca and some questionable fish. They don't do this in Peru

The beef is cooked with onions, tomatoes, and fries. The dish is served with rice. Beef, potatoes, and rice is the foundation of a great dish. I had the chance to try lomo saltado for the first time many years ago, and I instantly fell in love. Rico Sabor Peruano is not the top result when searched, but a professional Yelper like myself could tell that it was probably the best choice. Once I walked into the restaurant, I knew I made the right choice. Rico Sabor Peruano evokes East LA vibes. The interior was not great, and the employee didn't speak English. I knew I was about to have one of the greatest meals of my life. After stumbling through the order with my early intermediate Spanish (Duolingo-level Spanish with a thick Gringo accent), I excitedly waited for my meal. The food was cooked in a reasonable amount of time, and the employee even proactively brought a bottle of hot sauce. How did she know? I'm happy to report that Rico Sabor Peruano perfectly lived up to my very high expectations. I'll definitely return for the lomo saltado. I may also try some of the great value dishes that other diners mentioned. The lomo saltado was worth every dime, but it still cost ~$20.

The service was good in general, the waitress was attentive and came to my table often asking if I needed something. Now... the most important, the food... I am very disappointed. The causa acevichada I think it had good ingredients, the fish was good too but there was no flavor; It tasted bland with not enough lime juice or salt. In my second plate, almost the same... good ingredients for the Lomo Saltado but I don't think the made it in a wok, the meat tasted just cooked in a simple pan without that "flame taste", forget about the Tacu Tacu... they don't use the right type of beans and no way it was done correctly as you can see in my photo. I don't think I'll be coming back because of the quality of the plates but I understand that the "fun night" bar atmosphere and activities are their hook for other people to come..

I'm not dismissing the food altogether, but it could be slightly better. Service was somewhat all right, they were polite, but it took a bit for a hostess to welcome us, and our waitress was somewhat absent but would be seen sitting at another clients table just chatting. The restaurant is large and spacious with what seems to be a little casino in the back. When I went, they had karaoke night, but prior to that, they had TV and music all over. Though I appreciate the attempts of having a lively environment, it was so loud you could barely hear the other people you were with.

It was early so the dining room had only two or three occupied tables and no one at the bar in the back yet. I was greeted immediately and waited a short time for my order to be ready. All the way home I could smell delicious odors from the bag! I ordered Churrasco de Entrada which is grilled skirt steak with chimichurri sauce and two sides. The steak was amazing! Tender, juicy, melted in my mouth. I had grilled vegetables and baked potato for sides. The vegetables were a mixture of broccoli, cauliflower, pea pods, carrots, and zucchini. They were cooked well and flavored with garlic. The foil packet of potatoes contained three small round potatoes also perfectly cooked through not seasoned at all. The meal came with three small dinner rolls and a few packets of butter. Everything was flavorful and delicious; garlic was quite strong though which I loved but might not be everyone's liking. I also ordered Alfajores from the bakery section for dessert. These are little sandwiches with soft shortbread cookies on the outside and soft dulce de leche and coconut filling between them. Four came in the box. This meal was at least two servings for me and it was a wonderful experience. I look forward to eating in the restaurant next time.

The location is in a small plaza with hard time to park because of the amount of businesses around. The restaurant is big with a lot of tables and good for big groups but too dark for my taste, the windows are so dark from outside that if it wasn't for the " open" sign you would think it is close. The food is good, I liked the quality of the chorizo and the skirt steak was grilled properly. I wished the fries were "fresh-cut", I understand that frozen fries are easier but a good steak deserves good fries. Another thing that lowers the experience is that the condiments like ketchup and mayonnaise are in packets like a fast food chain.
