    Ordered for pickup. Strangest place. Very sketchy. Door was locked upon arrival. Had to knock. Just the wife at the counter, husband in the kitchen. Waited at least 20 more minutes, and for the WORST Peruvian food we have ever had! Ceviche, causa, aji de gallina, cau cau de mariscos, tallarin saltado, over $200 in food. EVERYTHING was awful. Place was empty at 8:30, not surprised. Decor looks like it's been here as long as the building has been around, green carpets, dark inside, ew.

    Let me start by saying that I'm Peruvian and love it when I can find a great hole in the wall that serves my beloved Peru's cuisine. If you also love Peruvian food, save your money and go elsewhere! This is where good quality ingredients and service goes to die. Our server was this angry girl, that wanted nothing but to be proven right. I was there with my gfs, one of which was vegetarian. I asked our server, what vegetarian options do you have? My friend is looking at the salad. She responds, "what's on the menu." I let that roll, figured she's not up for small chat. When our food arrived, all of our orders were wrong. I ordered the tiradito (ceviche) and it was missing the sides stated on the menu. My vegetarian friend ordered a sad salad with like 4 ingredients and it was missing 2 of the 4. My other friend ordered the avocado salad with chicken and there were 4 super tiny pieces of chicken that she had to dig around for. I asked our waitress about my sides, and she said my fish didn't come with any. So I asked for the menu, and showed her where it said it did. She said, oh, "that's for the ceviche - you didn't get that, you got the tiradito." Hmmm...hate to burst your bubble miss, tiradito is ceviche, it's just the style of how you cut the fish. It's the first thing I order when I go to Peru every two years. Feeling defeated by her attitude and constant rudeness, we went to pay and I asked to speak to her manager. She rolled her eyes at me, pretended to check in the back, and then came to the front and said, "yeah, he stepped out." So I asked for his name and their phone number to give him a call later. She replied, "no, I cannot give you personal information, you're asking for personal information." I told her she was extremely rude and I left. About an hour later, I tried calling to ask for her manager, and she picked up the phone, refused to let me speak to him and said, "I have no idea when he'll be back, you can try later." Spare yourself the emotional high of finding a Peruvian restaurant in Atlanta. This is definitely not worth the trip or money. There are far too many great dining choices in ATL to choose this one.

    The place looks old and is outdated but the food is still good. There are 1 or 2 dishes that did not please, like the shrimp cocktail. It tasted like hot sauce and over boiled shrimp but for the most part, the other dishes are yummy. The staff seems to all be related but they are generally attentive and nice. Wait time is a bit long but the portions are good, the prices are alright and it helps cure a Peruvian food craving.

    Way over priced, food was ok but definitely not worth what they charge. Service not the best and probably won't go back I will keep on searching for a good Peruvian restaurant.

    We came here at 845pm and it looked super sketchy getting here, but the food was awesome! I only knew a little bit of Spanish, but I knew enough to be able to communicate with the awesome server :P. It helped my friend knew Spanish though haha. I tried a traditional drink made of corn called chicha morada and it was sweet and tasted awesome. My friend got a carbonated version of it and I thought it was cool how my drink was purple. We tried the mixtos ceviches ($16) and the bistec lo pobre. Amazingggg! The ceviche was really fresh with octopus, mussels, shrimp, and calamari. It had fresh lemon, onions, and lettuce. It was excellent! I was craving ceviche too. The bistec was also awesome! The meat was a little rough, but full of flavor with every bite. I liked the egg and the rice. I could have done without the little salad on the side though since I just had some ceviche. They were playing Peruvian music that was familiar from one of my good friend's parties and they had Univision on several TVs which would be great for a soccer game. Loved this place! Only complaint was it was a little more expensive than I expected.

    Rounded up 3.5 stars. This place was a surprise hole in the wall (well, HITW for me). It's not particularly pleasant from the outside and the interior is not the most appealing. It's not dirty but it is dated. You first walk in to a small bar with a few TVs. I think they get a lot of night business b/c they also had some music performance stuff advertised. The inside of the restaurant can hold about 40-50ish. The owner was a kind and helpful Peruvian lady. I think she was working by herself (waiting and cooking) b/c we didn't hear a single voice the time we were there. This also meant the service was a little slow but we weren't in a hurry that day. We got the Ceviche con pescado ($14), arroz con mariscos ($16), bistec a la parilla ($13), jalea mixta especial ($30). Everything was really good and the portions were decent but I will say the prices are a little too high. I think they can be lower. Nothing we ordered tasted bad or disappointing. Overall, it's a great tasting restaurant but you'll have to absorb the sticker shock.

    Peruvian food in Atlanta?! There aren't many places so I YELPED it and Contigo Peru popped up. My friend and I had plans today and were in the mood to try Peruvian food since neither of us has had it before. As we pulled into the parking lot, there was only one car parked there. We were a bit alarmed since it was around 12 p.m. for lunch time. As expected, we entered and the place was pretty empty besides one occupied table. The two workers in the front greeted us in Spanish and were very welcoming. We were seated, menus given, and water brought out. The ambient was pretty chill, but could've been more "festive" if there had been more customers. FOOD: My friend and I concluded seafood is the specialty here. I mean, we saw it advertised under the restaurant sign walking in. The menu is pretty extensive with items such as: ceviche, tacos, quesadillas, rice entrees, battered/fried seafood, etc. We stayed away from the "fried" stuff although our waiter suggested ONLY fried items/entrees for us to try. We ended up getting rice entrees that focused on Peruvian style marination/spices. My friend ordered #78 - Arroz con Mariscos (Peruvian style stir-fried seafood with rice) and I ordered #79 - Picante de Mariscos (Mild saucy stir-fried seafood with rice). Both entrees consisted a lot of vegetables, shrimp, squid, octopus, and a few mussels. It did take a good while before our entrees came out and it wasn't even busy so... yeah. We did doubted the freshness of the seafood due to how empty it was, but they tasted fine. My friend joked around and said they must have did a quick run to the ocean to catch some seafood (haha). The food was OKAY. Not something I would crave personally, but it was very tasteful. It was also different from anything I have tried before. Portion was plentiful as we both did not finished everything. They displayed it well and looked appetizing. I really wanted to try the ceviche, but will save that for next time. That's IF we don't get stomach aches or what not after this first visit. Just kidding! All in all, not a shabby place for Peruvian food. Definitely try it out!

Our waitress shared that the restaurant is a fusion of Peruvian and South Georgia style food. They highlight their seafood as their speciality and from the words of others at the table who ordered oysters, ceviche and cuts of fish they do that very well. For my entree I had the Lomo Saltado with a side of red beans and rice. The steak in the Lomo Saltado was extremely tender and the overall dish was rich in flavor. I wish there was more steak because of how good it was. Once dinner hours ended the restaurant turned into a dance floor with a DJ which we also enjoyed for a bit. Overall, a solid spot with great food and a nice vibe. With a bit more attentive service, it could easily be an even better experience.

We had to try and make some type of contact with the bartender to order. I was getting upset so I asked for the check which took FOREVER to get. I had the chance to try lomo saltado for the first time many years ago, and I instantly fell in love. Rico Sabor Peruano is not the top result when searched, but a professional Yelper like myself could tell that it was probably the best choice. Once I walked into the restaurant, I knew I made the right choice. Rico Sabor Peruano evokes East LA vibes. The interior was not great, and the employee didn't speak English. I knew I was about to have one of the greatest meals of my life. After stumbling through the order with my early intermediate Spanish (Duolingo-level Spanish with a thick Gringo accent), I excitedly waited for my meal. The food was cooked in a reasonable amount of time, and the employee even proactively brought a bottle of hot sauce. How did she know? I'm happy to report that Rico Sabor Peruano perfectly lived up to my very high expectations. I'll definitely return for the lomo saltado. I may also try some of the great value dishes that other diners mentioned. The lomo saltado was worth every dime, but it still cost ~$20.
