You can find Pisco Latin Kitchen at 5975 Roswell Rd Ste E-353, Sandy Springs, GA 30328. The restaurant is in the lower level of the shopping center accessible from Hammond Drive near the Ship and Anchor Pub. There's parking but it's somewhat tight at times - you can find additional parking in the decks up the hill near Lowe's (it's not too far to walk). I met a friend for dinner at Pisco with little expectation - it was my first time at the restaurant, which occupies the previous vegetarian restaurant, Cafe Sunflower (a bit sad to see that one go, it was one of the first vegetarian restaurants I ever visited some 20 years ago). Pisco's ambiance is more upscale with wooden tables, cloth napkins and metal silverware but not so fancy that you feel like you need a dinner jacket. The menu is a mix of Latino and other cuisines from south of the US border. Since it was my first visit, I ordered the Cuban Sandwich with a side of Maduros - I found it all very good and reasonably authentic. As I looked across the dining room I saw a lot of wine and mixed drinks, so I had a beer which seemed more appropriate with the sando. We topped things off with a perfect flan - smooth/velvety and perfect. Service was exceptional with several visits to the table, water refills and good recommendations. I'm looking forward to trying some of the specialty drinks and more of the meatier entrees. I think this is a great restaurant for getting the band back together to celebrate life, with so many dismal things happening politically.

Went on a Sunday afternoon and there were only 4 other tables. Service was incredibly SLOW with no clear reason why. I had fettuccini verde. It was very plain, not very flavorful, but I appreciated the thinly cut chicken. My guest had Parrillada de Mariscos and enjoyed the taste of the meal. It's a huge portion! However my guest ended up getting sick with what we presume was food poisoning due to onset and duration of illness.

Very good food, nice calm place. Service was very good and attentive. We have been here several times and never disappoint.

Quick Recap: Easy to find, They also accept reservations and there was plenty of parking available out front. Nicely decorated, clean bathrooms, service. Our server was also phenomenal! Now let's talk about the food. I ordered the vegetable Lo mein. It was absolutely delicious. Probably the best I have ever had to be completely honest. The Papas Bravas appetizer was tasty! My hubby ordered the churrasco: he said it tasted even better the next day. He rates it a 7 or 8 out of 10. The cousin ordered chicken empanadas and chicken saltado. She said it was absolutely delicious! She was very pleased. We will absolutely be back and recommend this place for sure! Please note: we're originally from Miami. The food pass the test! Also The place looks empty because we closed down the place! Lol

My partner & I decided to come here after reading their reviews on Yelp. We ordered the Ham croquettes and the Tostones rellenos (Shrimp) as appetizers. They were amazing, filled with lots of flavors. We ordered the Mezcalita Skinny & the Mezcal Manhattan as our main drinks. They were both delicious, the Manhattan one was smooth but strong. I ordered the Pan con bistec and it was simply delicious, I could even taste the lemon to season the steak, the sweet plantains were fried perfectly and were just like I like them. My partner ordered the Parrillada Carne and came with yellow rice and sweet plantains. Everything was simply amazing with lots of flavors. It was quite a lot so we took leftovers home. We ordered the Guava cheesecake to go. I ate it when I came home since I am Cuban & a big fan of Guava. Though I enjoyed it I must say it needed more Guava, and the slice was little for the price. It should be a little bigger. Our waitress was Saffia and she was very attentive and provided us with a great service. The restaurant wasn't crowded when we came, the music wasn't loud. Really nice ambience.

What an amazing hidden gem in sandy springs! The food was amazing, a wide variety of Latin selections. I was craving lomo saltado and this place def hit the spot. We also got the loaded tostones with pulled beef (amazing flavor and was surprisingly filling), traditional ceviche (not my fav as the fish was a little too chewy), and the ropa vieja. Service was not the best as we had to flag him down a couple times but I think he was just trying to not be too interruptive. However, while we were dining, a homeless person wandered into the restaurant and asked us for money while we were dining at our table..... the homeless person circled back and confronted me AGAIN as he thought I was calling the cops but I was just on my phone texting- we were shocked and were so put off by this as the host was at the front and just let him in??? The server said the host was very young hence didn't have enough experience but I think that's a ridiculous excuse. If she's old enough to work, she should be old enough to carry common sense.

Best Latin restaurant this side of the country. Enjoyed everything about our visit. Simple decor with intense Latin flavors. We started with a Pisco sour and a bumu rum and Dos Equis and a seafood appetizer which consisted of grilled octopus, calamari, mussels, shrimp and sausage (? Barcelona). You should definitely try that appetizer. It was flavorful, fresh and served with two pieces of soft Cuban bread that had been lightly toasted. We also added a house salad that fresh crisp and had some flavorful walnuts on top. For our main entrees, we ordered one of the specials of the evening which was two grilled pork chops served with rice, beans and a side of plantains. We also ordered the grilled meats which came with grilled skirt steak topped with chimichurri, pork, grilled chicken and sausage; also complimented with your choice of rice, beans and plantains. This dish was large enough for 2+ people. . They have a Latin music playing, and a nice vibe in the restaurant. This was my first visit to Pisco Latin Kitchen but it won't be my last.

I went for the first time, and oh boy! You are definitely in for a special treat. I got the steak with verde pasta ... absolutely to die for! Garlicky and flavorful in every bite. The lemon drop was good and I'll be back for their crispy wings.

This place has amazing Peruvian food. Try the ceviche! They have great lunch specials, my favorite is the Angus Churrasco Steak, with the homemade chimichurri sauce! The Ropa Viega is also really good. It's a small and beautiful restaurant, the service is good on slow days.

From sitting down to signing the check it was 40 minutes and that's with an appetizer included. Unfortunately the food just wasn't what we were looking for. While I did provide a unique taste, neither of us really enjoyed our food and left wanting something different. We both had different versions of the saltado and shared the plantains. The saltado was ok and the plantains seemed a little undercooked. All in all, I think if you're after Peruvian flavors and have a dish in mind then the Freakin Incan could be a great stop for you, but it just seemed to miss the mark for us.

The service was great from start to finish. To start I ordered the salmon chips to share with my husband. I was nervous as I've only had salmon chips at another local restaurant but Tio Lucho's version was very good. The chips were very balanced in ratio of salmon to chip with the chip being on the thinner side to highlight the salmon. Our waitress shared that the restaurant is a fusion of Peruvian and South Georgia style food. They highlight their seafood as their speciality and from the words of others at the table who ordered oysters, ceviche and cuts of fish they do that very well. For my entree I had the Lomo Saltado with a side of red beans and rice. The steak in the Lomo Saltado was extremely tender and the overall dish was rich in flavor. Since my good friend is visiting Atlanta from Washington D.C we decided to bring her here and for us to try this restaurant. Natalia greeted us at the entrance and took us to our table right away. The restaurant is simply beautiful and I who am a huge fan of Frida Kahlo loved the big portrait of hers at the main entrance. I must say Natalia was simply AMAZING!. She recommended some plates that are mostly famous by customers as well as some of her favorite ones. We ordered the Simmered Sunset drink that has Mezcal and it was sooo smoky and delicious, I just wished it tasted more like Guava though. I ordered the Carne Asada and 8 hour Brisket Tacos with a side of Black beans and white rice. The tacos were phenomenal in taste however I must say the black beans/rice combination though it didn't lack flavor, it was a bit salty. I feel like the cook put too much salt in either which perhaps they should be mindful of it. Also, I must also confess the music choices though it was classic Motown music didn't go much with the restaurant ambience and to my own personal preference was a bit too loud. I mentioned that to my partner and my friend several times so maybe they should be more mindful of the music volume and also music choices. We spoke to the manager before leaving to give him our feedback about Natalia who was the epitome of amazing customer service and what a waitress ought to be and he was very nice and approachable. Now let's talk about the service -- because it was truly above and beyond. Our server, Natalia, completely impressed me with her attentiveness and communication. My partner ordered two tacos and she asked what kind of tortilla he preferred. "Flour," he said. I jokingly chimed in, "Boring!" When she asked what I wanted, I said I wanted two different flavored tacos -- and she didn't even ask what kind of tortilla. When my dish arrived, I was SO excited -- she brought mine on corn tortillas without me having to say a word. She picked up on my energy and preference just from that playful moment. That attention to detail made the experience feel personal and memorable. I even spoke to the manager, Joel, to share how impressed I was. His response? He wasn't surprised at all -- which says everything about the standard they hold there. That made me love the place even more. However, I kept kosher when I raised my children, so I'm no stranger to observance. We started off with an order of the Fuego Animal Fries for the table. French fries topped with brisket, red onions, green chiles and queso sauce. The appetizer was excellent! See the attached picture, which tells a thousand words! The brisket was lean and tender, and braised perfectly. The red onions were sautéed and added such depth with the cheese and chiles! Next up, the Fried Cauliflower; crisp florets with a horseradish-roasted garlic aioli. The cauliflower was fried with a crispy, flavorful breading, and was tender inside. The horseradish sauce was very good and I dipped every bite. The last appetizer, the Southwest Rolls, fell short of expectations - most people didn't finish theirs. It's not that it had a 'bad taste', but the texture inside was really strange. It tasted sandy, or powdery to me - not what you would expect from a roll stuffed with brisket, black beans, corn and peppers. Maybe the beans were the reason; whatever, the recipe needs serious adjustment. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries for my main course. I was trying to decide between the brisket sandwich or the fried chicken sandwich-after the brisket and fries appetizer, I almost went with the brisket, but decided last minute to go with the 'Schnitzel Sandwich', as it's called. We all know what the term 'schnitzel' means when it comes to meats - pounding it down to about a 1/4 inch thick, breading and frying. In this dish, the chicken is pounded and fried - I was surprised to see, not one schnitzel, but two in my sandwich - see attached picture. It was a tasty chicken sandwich - it was tender - but, since it's so thin, it wasn't juicy - but, wasn't dry either. I prefer a large piece of meat when having fried chicken, but it was fine. Overall, I enjoyed the lunch at Fuego. If I return, I'm definitely trying the brisket sandwich!

On our way , we called twice to ask a question about gluten-free menu options. Both times the phone rang until the call disconnected. We walked in at 6:42. We stood by the "wait to be seated" sign. They have no host, and we were a foot away from a table dining. After we got there, a party arrived and were seated after talking to a manager/whoever ran the expo. I understand they probably called ahead or set it up, but at some point, guests need to be noticed - not just the ones who know the staff. Around 6:53 someone finally acknowledged us, but they just asked how many there were (2) and walked away. At 6:57 we sat after getting the attention of a different person, but not until after a table for two that hadn't been cleared but was empty since before we arrived was slowly cleaned. Once we were seated, we were not greeted until 7:05 - 8 minutes after sitting down. We had questions about allergies and the server seemed unsure of the menu. I found out that for the wings, you can't split sauces. Our server told us we could get a side of a second sauce. This was his idea, and we were surprised to be charged for it. No mention of an upcharge. Also - this sauce did not arrive until later. At 7:13, we placed our order. No alcohol or drinks were ordered. We had noted that we wanted to start with the wings as an appetizer. The wings arrived at the table at 7:22. The spicy sauce (that we were charged for) was not with the food. The wings were fine. The ranch was great. Entrees hit the table at 7:26. We'd hardly had a moment to eat the wings before everything was on the table. The burger and sandwich were fine. For the Fuego burger being $33 dollars, we expected a larger portion size or something more special about it, but it was just a burger. The BBQ Brisket Sandwich was also fine, but didn't feel worth $26 dollars. Both of our meals were good, but not good enough to justify the prices or lack of service. Throughout the dinner, we noticed our server took better care of other tables. I don't know if it's because we didn't buy alcohol (again, overpriced) or were only 2 people, but we felt like a second thought the entire time. For a place at this price point, we expected better. There are no sections for the servers in the building, so they have tables all over the restaurant, making it easier to forget a table. I think this is a symptom of how the restaurant is run. Our server didn't check on us until 7:34 which was when we got much needed water refills and the extra sauce that hadn't come. At 7:44 we finished eating. At 7:47 our server checked in and we asked for a box. At 7:48 he dropped the check and a box and said he would be right back to pick it up; he just had to clear a table for new guests. Our table wasn't cleared of the empty dishes. After waiting 11 minutes with the check and dirty table, a different staff member picked up the card at 7:59. She came back a minute later and we had to sign the check on a tablet she held. It asked if we wanted to leave a tip, but there was already a 20% service charge on the receipt. It's on the menu and website, but it feels scammy to not disclose this to guests upon payment and to have a "would you like to leave a tip" while an employee is holding the screen. Our meal, 10 wings (the upcharge sauce), the fuego burger, and the brisket sandwich, cost us $102 all said and done. I hope this was a fluke, but we will not be returning. At this price point, guests should be able to feel like they are being taken care of. Throughout the movement at dinner service, guest left and their tables weren't bussed or cleaned, and if they were, trash was left. We saw a lot of people around the restaurant receive better service and more attention. I work in fine dining myself and have a lot of empathy for being busy or understaffed, but I've never had a dining experience that truly made me feel like I was being taken advantage of.
