You can find this location of Mexico Lindo at 7870 Roswell Rd Sandy Springs, GA 30350. Plenty of parking around this free-standing building, in the corner of a small shopping center across from the QT. I ended up here at the suggestion of a local friend - he had indicated that the previous TexMex restaurant there was at this location wasn't pretty bad but since Lindo took over it's quite good. This is TexMex with the typical menu full of tacos, burritos, enchiladas and the like, with a free starting basket of chips and salsa. Honestly my expectations weren't great but as long as the food was fresh and the margaritas strong, I don't complain too much. I ended up being surprised. The chips were crisp and fresh and while the salsa is the typical American-style, still good with mild spice, tangy and easy. We also ordered a bowl of queso with extra jalapenos - and asked for more jalapenos. All of this was lapped up with strong Texas margaritas. While the tacos looked interesting, what caught my eye was the Make Your Own Combo - 2 items for $12. I choose the Chile Poblano (with chicken) and a burrito (also with chicken), which came with a side of refried beans and rice. These flavors were quite good - the polano really needed another minute on the flat top - the film was off the pepper but it was a tiny bit too crunchy. The burrito was massive and quite satisfying. Overall, great value and quite filling. While the food was great, the service was hoe-hum - we were seated without setups and then had to ask several times to get utensils - we didn't get a fork or napkins until our entrees were delivered. Our server seemed more interested in playing with his phone than actually working - he spent most of his time noticeable hanging out need the kitchen (there's a knee-wall along the back wall from the restrooms to the kitchen). We waited and waited for our check and finally had to get up and try to get out - I tracked him down and the check was still reeling out of the printer. Service 3/5. Mexico lindo is a fine addition to Sandy Springs, replacing a TJs at the same location. Food is good and plentiful. Went for lunch and had the chicken fajitas. Very tasty but no guacamole for them. :( . Great chips and salsa. Lunch specials are limited here. See pics. Service was prompt and efficient on a slow Monday about 11:45am. This was our third time coming to Mexico Lindo. For the last 2 times our waitress was Victoria who genuinely seemed to care that our dining experience was optimized from start to finish, was FANTASTIC. Eventhough I left a 20% tip. however since 3 of us all shared a plate the total cost was just under $30.00 so that not until after I had already left I didn't notice that the tip was still a low amount, therefore I'm writing this 5 STAR review for Victoria to make up the difference... Sorry about that and I promise not to let that happen again! The entire dining experience was EXCELLENT! The food (fajitas w/shrimp, beef & chicken) was delicious. Even the ice tea (a very dark color) was very nice. We love the atmosphere and the renovations done to the restaurant that made the space seem more brighter and open. I visited Mexico Lindo last night and was very disappointed with the service I received. While sitting at the bar, I noticed an automatic 18% gratuity added to my bill. When I asked why, I was told it was because I "always come and never tip." That statement was not only incorrect but completely unprofessional. For context, I usually sit at the tables when I visit--not the bar--and I have never had an issue before. The bartender, Ramona, was extremely rude and out of line for making such a comment to a customer. As paying guests, we should never be spoken to in such a disrespectful manner. I've enjoyed coming to Mexico Lindo in the past, but this experience left a very bad impression. Management needs to address how customers are treated and ensure that staff members handle situations respectfully and appropriately. read more

My friend and I just left the location in Sandy Springs, GA. We both ordered the lunch portion of the fajitas that includes shrimp, steak and chicken. We ordered the same thing last Sunday. Last Sunday, the check was $12 each and today it was $20 each. I told the waitress that she charged us wrong because we ordered the lunch portion. She said that they do not do lunch portions on the weekends. I asked her why she didn't tell us that when we ordered. She just said that they don't do lunch portions on the weekends once again. I asked her if that was posted or somewhere on the menu. She said no. I said that we were just here last Sunday and you gave us the lunch portion like we ordered. She called the manager over and we said the same thing to the manager. He said we only do lunch portions during the week. We went back and forth for awhile and I said, "you are the manager here and you need to do the right thing and charge us for what we ordered." He huffed and puffed and told me that I was "copping an attitude!" Very unprofessional! You don't say that to a customer! That is what I was thinking though. Obviously, he is not management material. A suggestion from upper management would be to retrain this manager or get rid of him entirely! read more

I also was at Mexico Lindo last night and I observed the gentleman (Loosely using that word) at the bar braiding the bartender calling her the b word calling her the H word loudly enough so that we could all hear him at the bar so for him saying he didn't appreciate her telling him he doesn't tip, the rest of the bar didn't appreciate him calling her out her name and acting like he had a right to speak to her like. If you don't have $$ to tip when you go out to a restaurant then go to McDonald's where tips or not required! But I am sure there are enough people on here that have worked in a restaurant business and one thing service people don't forget is who does not tip! And u didn't tip last night either!!!! We waited 45 mins for the check on a Wednesday night with maybe 2-3 other tables filled in the entire place. This time we never got silverware, never got my husbands drink and were left for over an hour. Queso showed up before drinks and was very cold. We had no napkins, no silverware. Food shows up still no napkins/ silverware. Our original waitress never showed back up. There was a dog loose on the patio. My family arrived and were seated within a few minutes. Laura S brought menus and water, and about 10-15 minutes later she took our order. Our food took about 40-45 minutes to come out and had obviously been sitting. The refried beans were cool and hard. The chili relleno and chimichanga were cool and tasteless. We were all out of water but when she came with the pitcher, she filled one and walked off. While she was there, I asked for more ketchup. After about 12 minutes, I went to the kitchen and got someone to give me some. Still no waitress...we went to the front desk and asked for our ticket and that's when she came back. She stood over my husband's shoulder and watched him add her lowered tip. All of their choices were at least 20%. Nope! The food was not good. The service was terrible. Our last trip there forever.
