We have been wanting to come here for a long while but never found time time and special moment to do so. Since my good friend is visiting Atlanta from Washington D.C we decided to bring her here and for us to try this restaurant. Natalia greeted us at the entrance and took us to our table right away. The restaurant is simply beautiful and I who am a huge fan of Frida Kahlo loved the big portrait of hers at the main entrance. I must say Natalia was simply AMAZING!. She recommended some plates that are mostly famous by customers as well as some of her favorite ones. We ordered the Simmered Sunset drink that has Mezcal and it was sooo smoky and delicious, I just wished it tasted more like Guava though. I ordered the Carne Asada and 8 hour Brisket Tacos with a side of Black beans and white rice. The tacos were phenomenal in taste however I must say the black beans/rice combination though it didn't lack flavor, it was a bit salty. I feel like the cook put too much salt in either which perhaps they should be mindful of it. Also, I must also confess the music choices though it was classic Motown music didn't go much with the restaurant ambience and to my own personal preference was a bit too loud. I mentioned that to my partner and my friend several times so maybe they should be more mindful of the music volume and also music choices. We spoke to the manager before leaving to give him our feedback about Natalia who was the epitome of amazing customer service and what a waitress ought to be and he was very nice and approachable. Picture it: Saturday, February 28, 2026. An old friend is in town, and we're craving Caribbean Latin food. We've talked about going to Mojave forever -- always "next weekend"... and then next weekend would come and go. But this time? The perfect occasion finally arrived. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance felt inviting and lively -- the kind of place that instantly puts you in a celebratory mood. Now let's talk about the service -- because it was truly above and beyond. Our server, Natalia, completely impressed me with her attentiveness and communication. My partner ordered two tacos and she asked what kind of tortilla he preferred. "Flour," he said. I jokingly chimed in, "Boring!" When she asked what I wanted, I said I wanted two different flavored tacos -- and she didn't even ask what kind of tortilla. When my dish arrived, I was SO excited -- she brought mine on corn tortillas without me having to say a word. She picked up on my energy and preference just from that playful moment. That attention to detail made the experience feel personal and memorable. I even spoke to the manager, Joel, to share how impressed I was. His response? He wasn't surprised at all -- which says everything about the standard they hold there. That made me love the place even more. A couple quick notes: the music was a bit loud, and sadly they didn't have masitas de cerdo (one of my absolute favorites -- I was heartbroken for a second!). I found Mojave as I was looking for somewhere to have brunch before a show at Cobb Energy Center. The décor is cute, colorful and picture worthy. I started with an Old Fashioned and I loved the presentation. The server smoked the drink at the table and it really added to the flavor. For an appetizer, I ordered the blue cornbread which we were told was just added back to the menu. I've never seen blue cornbread but it was fluffy and had good flavor. It was supposed to come with some sort of chili butter but I didn't taste any heat in the butter at all. For my entrée, I ordered the Quesadilla smashburger with a side of greens. The burger was basically a smash burger on tortillas instead of a bun but it had great flavor. The server told us the greens were spinach but when it came to the table, it was clearly collard greens. My best friend lives out here and she's been here a number of times so since we're visiting from California, she said we have to come!! We were in luck that they had a reservation available along with a special seasonal menu!! As we walked in, it was gorgeous with a vignette of a garden that outlook a little lake or river that ran around the backside of the restaurant. I kept gazing out the window, hoping to find deer or some sort of wildlife!! Lol. There's also an upstairs which no one was sitting in, but I could only imagine how beautiful that view would have been! The decor was very elegant and upscale with a modern twist!! My other best friend was able to order an espresso martini with tequila which she was highly excited about because she does not drink vodka. I got a traditional espresso martini with vodka. We ordered the blue corn bread and to our dismay it was rather dry. So we wondered if it was fresh or not. Nevertheless, when we ordered our food, my two best friends got the blue corn waffles and fried chicken and I ordered the salmon eggs Benedict yet I wanted scrambled eggs. I know I know! Scrambled eggs just sounded better for this particular day. Once our food arrived, the waffles seemed dry to both of my friends, and my salmon on my eggs. Benedict was overcooked and dry. Thank goodness, there was avocado and a chipotle aïoli sauce that I could dip into the salmon to juice it up some! My two best friends ended up returning their meals because they couldn't eat the dry waffles and their replacement food, shrimp and grits, as well as barbecue wings and mac & cheese came rather quickly and they loved those dishes!! We also ordered another round of cocktails that were very equally measured. So the taste was there, yet none of us had a buzz from the drinks. Lol. I came across Mojave after a drive into Sandy Springs and decided that I would try it soon. The exterior was gorgeous and looked like the perfect setting for a brunch/dinner date night. It offers Mexican inspired cuisine and each meal I've had to date has been super flavorful. They offer both interior and exterior seating for guests. The interior is decorated beautifully and as originally stated - is perfect for date night or a meal out with girlfriends. The location offers a decent amount of parking, making it easy for all patrons with different sized vehicles. The service is amazing. Each time I've been by, everyone always goes above and beyond to ensure my party and I have the best experience. Thursday 4pm - I came here to meet a few clients who work nearly ( this was their recommendation) for happy hour , a quick drink before they head home . Nice place , a bit dark ( would make a big difference did its brighter ) with friendly service . Sat by the bar with a group and we were all attended to . Some ordered the chips / guacamole and wings . With the limited orders , can't comment on the full menu but the food was as expected . I can now say with 100% confidence, this restaurant is the absolute worse for food and now service in Atlanta. I don't think I've ever thought this about a restaurant, but it just needs to close. It's absolutely awful. I was here with co-workers celebrating, but I would not order any food or cocktails because the strawberry margaritas and our food was TRASH the first time I came. I came here after Easter service and ordered things from the brunch menu. Overall, I thought this place had a really great vibe and really delicious food. The drinks were delicious and they did not skimp out on the alcohol. The interior of the restaurant was very nice because it was overlooking a pond. It seemed like there were many families here which was a plus. My only complaint would be that the table was a bit sticky and the cups were placed upside down so it didn't seem super sanitary. Cliche, but teamwork makes the dream work. Walk in on a busy Saturday night but room at the bar. Colton was my server and did an outstanding job. He made great recommendations as he was knowledgeable about the menu and recent change of direction from leadership. I started with the queso poblano. It was good and flavorful but my biggest feedback it that all the food needs acid and heat to balance the sweet. I get that the heat is different here than the southwest but maybe a heat scale that you offer the customer to ensure heat is at the right level. I asked for hot sauce and that did the trick. The staff was absolutely amazing. They covered each other perfectly. Colton recommended a great margarita (and it was), I wanted a brew with dinner and Keith was right there to not miss a beat while Colton was serving the bar. I noticed Sophia making this cool looking drink, hibiscus margarita and she served that as an after dinner drink. All that service was seamless without any posturing for who was serving. Great things happen when you don't care who gets the credit. I cannot forget that may main course was the chile grilled chicken. It was excellent, falling off the bone good with the perfect amount of char. Same feedback that some heat or heat options would greatly improve the offering. I can't wait to go back, for the scenery, food and margaritas. They have the best watermelon margaritas, I've ever had. Large parking lot, and tucked away by the lake. It is a very open restaurant but allows you to take advantage of the view because of the large windows all around. A great bar. I have to highlight two things. Found this spot because they are still doing bottomless mimosas and I love that. My nephew and I enjoyed the $25 per person bottle served champagne and each picked a different flavor. I'd return just for that to be honest. Brunch is served from 11-4 on the weekends and there wasn't a time limit as far as I know. Our server was very attentive and replaced the bottles in a timely fashion whenever we were out. The only complaint was she was having a hard time opening them, but that's to be expected. We started with the $12 house guacamole and hoped it would be fresh and made table side and although it wasn't it was pretty good and the $5 cornbread churros which my nephew enjoyed. For our entrees I ordered the $25 steak and huevos which came out in a way I've never seen this dish served, but it was pretty good and cooked to my preferred temperature - medium and my nephew liked his $21 cubano also. The potato casserole was my least favorite; not my idea of a casserole; it was simply cheese atop of diced breakfast potatoes with peppers and onions. I also tried a red sangria and it was good! Food was very tasty and the server very nice but just can't justify that kind of expense for lunch and for so little food. Prices are out of control, especially for lunch. They no longer offer any weekday lunch specials. A cheese quesadilla is $13 + $7 more if you want chicken or + $13 more for shrimp. A $20-$26 quesadilla? No way!! My friend had the enchilada plate which was only enchilada, rice and beans. One cheese enchilada for $17 + $3.50 for chicken = $21.50 for 1 enchilada, rice and beans which are pretty cheap fillers. No chips and salsa provided before the meal. Prices were mentioned to "the manager" who said "we've had some menu changes and these are our new prices." I experienced Mojave Saturday afternoon for my best friend's birthday brunch. It was an excellent experience. They had free self-parking available on site and $5 valet. Once inside, the hostess brought us to our table. Our server, Chase came over to welcome us, introduce himself and grab drink orders. The setting was intimate and comfortable and the volume was perfect for holding conversations and hearing everyone at the table well. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and he made good recommendations. I ordered a guacamole appetizer and split champagne with the group. The guacamole was fresh and flavorful with the warm salted tostadas. For my entree, I had the buttermilk fried chicken. It was so flavorful! I definitely recommend it. The mashed potatoes and gravy were also good. The grilled asparagus needed a touch of salt. At the end of the meal, Chase helped me discretely surprise the birthday girl with her favorite cake, Tres Leches. I decided to order some to go as well, but ended up eating it their since it came with ice cream and did not want it to melt. When they came out they were plated well and looked amazing, however on first bite I thought these chips are cold, I didn't think to mention it as I thought it is within an hour of closing. Further into the dish (I added pulled pork $6 extra) I finally found what was a tiny piece of meat after searching because it lacked the protein I added very minimal and the meat was even cold not sure if they didn't make it fresh or if it sits in a heating tray of sort and the tray was not on but still giving 3 stars because my first time here was great. Francisco was our server and he was very pleasant to work with and I even referenced Elf "FRAN-CIS-CO" and he joined on the quote and we began to laugh. He had very good suggestions on what to eat. I ordered enchiladas but they were $30 and they were okay. Nothing to brag about. The tres leches dessert could be a bit more moist with the 3 milks as it is normally but it was okay. The flavor and texture were on point. They offer lamb, salmon and other dishes that are a bit more sophisticated. I ordered the enchiladas as I figured that if they can nail something very typical. Everything else is a home run. The service was good but sometimes a bit slow. I think that it has to do with the waiters having their main section inside and they alternate the patio. Next thing i know, I'm charged $10 per person for the reservation after trying to reach out to the restaurant (got voicemail - no return) and then on the webform on the restaurant's website. Nothing. The Plato de verduras is a nice vegetarian option for anyone who prefers no meat. The eggplant rolled with ricotta is good and a unique dish to try. You can't go wrong with any of the cocktails. For $21 it came packed with cheese, onions, peppers, spinach, shrimp, crabmeat and it came with this huge fluffy biscuit then I picked the potato casserole which was a bit salty but really good. The inside of the restaurant has huge windows where you can get beautiful views of trees and water that sits behind the restaurant. Definitely disappointed by my Mojave experience. My girlfriend and I came to Mojave for brunch, a party of two. There was a 30 minute wait which was fine, we got some mimosas at the bar and waited. The food was O-K but the service was pretty disappointing. With the pricing of Mojave, I expected elevated service or pretty tasty food, I received neither, which is surprising given the amount of competition in close proximity. Our waitress was nice but her service was not there. She didn't know any answers to our menu questions, she forgot our orders after taking them, our mimosas went empty because no one checked on us. A mixture of black beans, romaine lettuce and problano mushrooms with a key like cilantro cream sauce really added to the flavor of this lunchtime meal. EVERYTHING was good! The service was good. Great dining experience! Caution: park across the street to save time, there's security parked there. The valet line was into the street a couple times & the other drivers honked & yelled. Gabby was our server. We waited a bit for her to come to the table initially so we put our entire order in when she came to the table. I wasn't quite ready but she patiently waited and answered my questions. The food came out quick, as did our drinks. We both ordered an old fashioned and were pleased they had a rock cube and the size of the pour. The Spanish meatballs & the guacamole had a slight kick but were both sooo good! The beans also have a slight kick & are also really good. My brother ordered the mixed grill and enjoyed it. He even had some to take home. I ordered the pork carnitas, which are cooked with peaches & have a sweet flavor. I liked it a lot. They could've used some more seasoning to make it savory and sweet. I didn't realize this Friday because I scarfed my food down so fast lol, but it could've also been a little more tender and juicy. I still enjoyed it, a lot! I switched out the rice & got the mixed vegetables, which had texture, flavor, & were really good! We finished with the key lime pie. True key lime pie loves may want it a little more tart. It was tart but sweet, not the pucker your cheeks some people like key lime to taste like. It was very good to us. They also had a live band which added to the lively atmosphere.
