The service was good. Our server was constantly checking on us to ensure all was well. The food came out quick and was fresh. I ordered catfish, but it tasted more like whiting than it did catfish. However it was still seasoned well and tasted good.

Amazing seafood boil experience! I visited The Pirate's Boil today and it completely exceeded my expectations! I built my own seafood combo with: * 1 lb of King Crab * 2 Snow Crabs * Clams * 1 lb of Green Mussels * 1 lb of Head-Off Shrimp All served with corn and potatoes, of course. We were a group of 4 people, and this combo was more than enough to satisfy everyone. Our server was super kind and helpful -- she explained how everything worked and even gave us great tips on how much seafood would be ideal for our group. The environment was cozy, service was quick, and the food was absolutely delicious. I chose the Cajun Garlic Butter sauce with mild spice level, and it was perfectly balanced -- flavorful without being overwhelming. If you're into seafood, you definitely need to try this place. Totally worth it!

My 5 stars first comes from the stellar service! I always appreciate that. My coworker and I went in right at noon when they opened for lunch. Our food was really good and fresh and again such pleasant service. I would be an even bigger fan if they added blue crab to the menu when in season .

10/10 HITS EVERY TIME Latto did a review of this place & I been coming every since. Every time hits. I love the seafood & the wings just made my top 3 wing experiences in Atlanta honestly. Our server was Adam and he was amazing. Came as a late lunch/early dinner and it wasn't packed, but did get some people in as we were sitting. The music was nice & mellow. Recommendations: -Sweet tea: perfect Southern tea -Pirate's Secret Wings (mild): 15/10 perfectly crispy, seasoning was delicious & the celery literally made me ask for more -Cheese sticks: nothing extra, but always hot & actually have cheese in them -Noodles: buttery & definitely hit well with the seafood sauce

My all time favorite seafood boil place. I love getting the sweet Cajun seasoning with medium heat. I sat at the bar since it was just me and my bartender Stephon was very personable. My food did not take long to come out and the ambiance was nice. I visit here at least once a year and I'm always happy when I leave

My reaction

If there are any kdrama lovers reading, my reaction to my meals deliciousness was just like the main characters in bon appetite your majesty! my immediate response to tasting the food was wow! And I got a Hennessy margarita and it was...perfection. I came for a birthday so it was not by my own volition. I've been living near this place for over 4 years and had no idea it existed. The fellow yelpers got it right with 4+ stars. Because I cannot wait to go back! The flavor is to die for, incredible, intensely awesome! I ordered the make your own boil of shrimp with head, sausage and egg with rice and the pirates sauce. Excellence in a bag I tell you! Casual atmosphere and really attentive staff, keep up the great work!

Cajun Calamari

Ordered the Master Of The Sea and the Cajun calamari appetizer. Food was amazing throughout and our waitress Genesis was awesome! Highly recommend!!!

3.5/5. Only reason I'm rating it this is because my corn sucked. It was overcooked and I really like corn so that was disappointing. Everything else in my boil was good and I love how much garlic they use. The server was very attentive and the food was prepared quickly. I also tried the watermelon red bull margarita and it was very good!

This was my first crab boil since I have lived in the Atlanta area. I spent near 50 bucks and chose the Dungeness Crab. I went inside and it was pretty empty which had me wondering if their business is struggling and if there were other reviews that align with the lack of customers. The food was just ok. I felt like I should have made my own at home. I think the turn off for me was the level of salt. It was just too salty. Seasoned should not mean salty. I didn't complete my meal. While it wasn't terrible I am not running back to try it.

What a great experience! Let me start by saying: I'm a seafood boil snob. I grew up near the water with a mother who lives and breathes seafood, making it a staple in my life since childhood. So if I know anything, it's seafood. So when my girlfriends suggested that we head to The Pirate's Boil for lunch while in the area, I ran to the Yelp reviews to confirm that we were on the right track. There are a number of seafood spots in ATL and honestly, very few have left their mark on me, and I hate to waste time/money on a bad food experience lol. Especially seafood! So when I saw all of the great reviews from my fellow Elites and Yelpers, I felt like we were really in a for a treat. We visited on a Saturday afternoon after a morning of spending time out in the city. The restaurant is located in a large plaza which means tons of parking. Upon entry, the nautical theme was quite evident from top to bottom with branding all over. We were promptly greeted by a nice young lady who gave us a choice of table seating or booth seating. I was surprised that the restaurant wasn't packed yet, but there were a few other parties inside diving into their food and enjoying themselves. We were seated and welcomed by our waitress, Jasmine, who quickly took our orders. Looking at the menu, the prices were actually pretty reasonable compared to others that I've seen. Between the four of us, we all seemed to get a variety of options with me going with 1/2 lb. of green mussels and 1/2 lb. of Dungeness crabs in hot + Pirate's boil special sauce. My only gripe about seafood boils these days is that eggs/sausages are usually extra and the corn and potatoes are limited. Like, why is that? I need to start a petition and need this on the upcoming voting ballot because, aht aht. (But luckily one of my friends didn't want her eggs so I won. :D) I asked Jasmine which spice level was her favorite, to which she answered, "Inferno". My sister in christ, absolutely not lol. I like spice so much, but I didn't want to regret my choices later lol. When we received our food, the "hot" could have used an extra kick, but with more mixing and dipping directly into the bottom of the bag, it all worked out without extra spice. My boil was delicious!!! 1/2 lb. of mussels equaled about 6 pieces and my crab was big cluster with about 5 legs - not too bad. The sauce was flavorful, garlicky, buttery, really good. My only complaint was that there held back on the amount of sauce. Having double that amount would be ideal next time. My only complaint about this visit? The bathrooms. 1 stall was closed and the others, along with the sinks, looked as though they needed a deep clean. There were tissues all over the floors and I feel like that could be avoided if someone was checking the bathrooms every few hours and cleaning them up. At a restaurant where the cuisine is a messy experience, bathrooms are important and that part of the experience wasn't ideal at all. Truly one of the top 2 seafood boil experiences that I've had in ATL so far, so grateful for my fellow Yelpers sharing their feedback and the Pirate's Boil team for dishing up some great food!

This was my first time here. My husband brought me for my birthday and it's by far the best seafood boil I've had in Georgia since moving here in 2021. Our server was amazing as well. The music was a vibe, the food and service were immaculate

Fried Shrimp Basket
Jasmine P.

Pirates boil is the only boil spot that I go to Georgia. Why? They're consistent, from the food, to the wait time, and service. They're located in a shopping center, which means plenty of parking spaces available. If it's busy on a weekend you can do a simple reservation. They have an affordable lunch special ranging from baskets to boil bags. The music is pretty up to date, the servers are patient, available, and calm. Must try: Fried Shrimp Basket (as pictured) w/Cajun Fries with a side of the bombom sauce. Hush puppies and of course a boil bag medium spice level Pirates Secret sauce. Note: The Mild sauce is not spicy to me, its flavor with no kick is the best way to describe it.

It's a really cool place. Interior is same as any other seafood boiled place. Seasoning is better than most. I enjoy their oysters.

Are the seasonings gluten free or are there any gluten free options?

None of it is gluten free. If you want gluten free you will have to get the seafood bag with no seasonings added to it. You can have a steamed seafood bag with lemon wedges.

What type of seasoning is Pirate's Secret? I just don't want anything too strong or salty?

It is a mix of everything. I get the medium level. It is very garlicky, savory, and Cajun-y. When I say "garlicky, I mean...chunks of delish garlic. The sauce is delicious. If you don't like a strong flavor... I would get the Cajun (flavorful but… Read more

We had a female bartender who had a great personality and was on point with making the drinks. An added plus is they also offer a food menu. I tried the truffle chips and chicken flatbread. I've never had a bad experience here in person, the servers are friendly and prompt. I'll be honest and say I'm only ever here for lunch, so I don't know what the dinner rush is like. The lunch atmosphere is very comfortable and relaxed, with some sports excitement if a prime game is being played. The beer & cider list is rotating and extensive, they even usually have several varieties of mead available, which is pretty cool. The food is well-executed bar food that comes out nice and hot. The chicken tenders are some of the best I've ever had- the batter isn't too heavy, it's flavorful, has all the crunchy nooks and crannies you could want, and comes with their delicious house-made honey mustard. The fries are good but I always get the onion straws for my side, I'm a sucker for onion straws and these are perfectly breaded without being greasy. The mozzarella sticks are massive, a little tricky to maneuver but so worth it since they're made in house and not just your typical frozen bag kind. Another app I really enjoy is the mini corn dogs that also come with the yummy honey mustard. On my last visit I tried the jalapeño bacon cheese bites which were tasty. Salty, which is to be expected, with a combo of both cheddar and cream cheese that made for a nice gooey center.
