SOHO is one of my favorites. I sat at the bar and the bartender, Rachel, is outstanding and took the best care of me! The recommendations she made were perfect. I had the Chicken Tortilla soup which was delicious and then the Scottish Salmon which was fantastic both of which Rachel recommended. Chantel made me the best old fashion. I normally don't eat dessert but Rachel made the best suggestion which was the Classic Chocolate Bread Pudding. It was so good that I almost ate the plate it came on!!!! I highly recommend you go and ask for Rachel. Listen to her recommendations and try them. The atmosphere is enjoyable. The staff are great with their fast service and attention to detail. read more

We danced all night long. Couples and groups of friends took to the dance floor in the middle of the club. Great lighting. Comfortable seats. Good wait staff and bartenders. Even the patio was full. Soho Restaurant is like an old timer neighborhood fine wine and eatery. It is located in the heart of residential Vinings and offers a nice selection of wines, cocktails, and fine American dishes. Ambience: it is dim lit, quiet, well serviced spot. It's definitely an older person's date night spot or subtle special conversation over dinner spot which is a great option to have. Food: - Lobster spring rolls were 10/10. Served hot, robust pieces of tender lobster meat inside flash fried wontons cut in four. Filling. I would have added a nice sweet sauce to garnish, but the flavor in the roll carried in the dish. - Calamari. 7/10. Saucey, fried calamari pieces with tempura fried vegetables mixed in. Slightly overcooked and i prefer my calamari without sauces served on it so that I can rather dip and control it. - The Malbec was very flavorful and smooth pairing well with dinner and desert options. Their wine list is great and definitely a must to elevate the experience. Service: Very decent. Would like our waiter to have a better recommendation starter on food/ cocktails. Rachel was our wonderful server tonight. She was delightful. The staff was wonderful. The food was fabulous.

I had such a great experience thanks to the bartender--she was absolutely amazing. Not only did she have a really cool style with her tattoos, but her energy completely elevated the whole atmosphere. She was incredibly attentive the entire time, always making sure drinks were topped off and checking in without ever being overbearing. What really stood out was her customer service--it felt genuine, not forced. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome and taken care of, and her positive vibe was contagious. You can tell she really enjoys what she does, and it shows in how she interacts with people. Between her friendliness, professionalism, and overall great attitude, she made the night way more enjoyable. Definitely one of the best bartending experiences I've had. Give her a raise! read more

Food was delicious! Service was okay though we ordered a second appetizer we never received. But our waiter was extremely nice and accommodating to our ask. Second time going after a decade, would go again with my family or a girls night. We ordered the Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps - 8.5 out of 10 for them. We had great service and delicious food! I got the ahi tuna, and it was so tender and yummy. The ginger salad it came with was quite nice, too. My husband got the pork chop and devoured it so fast i couldn't even get a picture to post for this review. Our friends got the shrimp linguini and Scottish Salmon (the salmon disappeared quickly as well; The menfolk in my party seemed to especially love the food as they both ate every last bite on their plates) . Is Soho under new management? I have dined here many times and was pleased with the menu, but that has really changed now Their wine list has been abbreviated to about a fourth of the wines that they used to carry and they do not even offer champagne just Prosecco. The crabcakes are no longer on the menu and they offer strange specials, such as Corvina and duck. I'm just wondering how many diners out there would choose these particular specials. The beef options are a 16 ounce sirloin or a hamburger. Where is the fillet in a normal size such as six or 8 ounces? I opted for the chicken, which I was informed was airline chicken, not a normal chicken breast The best thing about the meal was the apple pie. I was quite disappointed in the menu. read more

I've been to SoHo years ago and enjoyed my meal so this review may just be a miss because of what I ordered. For starters, I had a blood orange margarita, which was tasty. I ordered the crab cake sandwich with truffle fries. Umm, the crab cake was southwestern style with red bell pepper and corn. I've never had crab cake with corn in it. It was giving Publix premade crab cake, which would have been fine if the price was $15 but the sandwich was $28. So needless to say, I was disappointed. SoHo in the Vinings Jubilee was the perfect venue to host my girl Shante's surprise birthday party! First of all securing a place for a party of anything over 6 is hard to come by these days. We called prob. 5/6 places in the Smyrna/ Vinings area and either they just couldn't accommodate our size party or it was first come first serve. When I called SoHo they took my reservation with no problem and book us about a week out in advance. Perfect! I started with a table of 12 and it ended up being 9 the night of our dinner. They set us up with a nice long booth. The restaurant has a nice variety on the menu so everyone found something they could enjoy. I didn't take any pictures, but I know the Burger, Salmon and Steak were just a few of the many dishes that were eaten by our group. I ordered the Short Rib and it was served atop their creamy mashed potatoes and spinach. Delicious!! I saved what I didn't finish, so it will be perfect with a fried egg tomorrow. Mmm... As for drinks they offer a full bar with many nice wines and cocktails. I was the DD so water for me tonight, but next time I'll be sure to get my fav. vodka extra dirty Martini!! We didn't order dessert, bc we were in a rush, plus I had cupcakes so we could sing Happy Birthday!! Overall, I really enjoyed our evening at SoHo and def. think it's a great place for dinner, drinks, and gathering with friends. The whole experience was perfect and our server did an excellent job. My husband and I were in the Vinings area on a Sunday and decided to grab dinner to go before we headed back home. Luckily we saw the reviews for Soho and they had just opened at 5pm for dinner so I figured it would be a nice restaurant to try out. I called in our to go order and spoke to an amicable gentleman over the phone who took the order. We went to pick it up 20 minutes later and the entire experience was pleasant. Parking was easy but It was early and even at 5pm the small parking lot was almost full. It was a nice day and their out door dining area was pretty packed. My dish of choice was the Seabass, which came with Baby Bok Choy, Purple Rice, and Lemongrass Buerre Blanc. Everything in my entree was seasoned and cooked to perfection, I loved my dish. The Hubby ordered the Scottish Salmon accompanied with Roasted Red Potatoes, Haricot Vert, and Garlic Beurre Blanc. His meal was equally delicious as mine. I can't wait to come back to Soho so I can try more of their dishes. Next time we will dine outside. read more

This is hands down an absolute 5 star restaurant. The menu looked amazing. And guess what, the food lived up to the expectations. I don't know where to begin. The manager Allen greeted us and was so nice. A moment later our amazing and sweet waitress Rachel came by. She was such a breath of fresh air. She was very professional and made some excellent recommendations. Everything we ate was an A+. We got the shrimp and lobster spring rolls which were extraordinary. My husband got the chicken tortilla soup 10/10!!!!! He loved his Caesar salad. He also got the steak with sides of mashed potatoes and mac n cheese. He said it was one of the best steaks he's ever had and loved the sides. I got the ahi and wow, that was the best sesame crusted ahi I have ever had!!!!! My husband ate the creme brûlée in like 2 minutes and said it was outstanding. I believe him because he said he wasn't going to share with me and he always shares with me. Large Party Dining has been something that many restaurants haven't been able to accommodate due to #Covid19 and let's be honest some restaurants don't do well. Well I am glad to report @sohoatlanta is not one of those restaurants. When I made the reservations for our party of 20 it was done with ease. Even though it was a large party our dining experience still felt intimate. Our server Noel was simply amazing. She stayed on top of everyone's drink orders and had suggestions as we waited for the guests of honor to arrive. This group is not easiest to please and she did an amazing job. With the special of the day being the Trout over mashed potatoes, the Sea Bass that was on the menu was calling my name as I had NO idea what I was going to try. Luckily I did not have to pick because @chefsoutherntemp got the Trout and I got the Sea Bass with Baby Bok Choy, Purple Rice, Lemongrass Buerre Blanc. @aggiepride93 had the Pork Chop with Fennel & Rosemary Crust, Sautéed Spinach, Andouille-Cheese Grits, Orange Pork Jus and yes I tried hers too. There is one rule when going to dinner with me. I will try your food. #sharingiscaring and #wecaretoshare. So many amazing dishes, libations that flowed through out the night, service that was perfection, #SohoAtlantaBistro kicked off our #LaborDayWeekend perfectly. Used to be great. Nadia, our server, was phenomenal. Aside from that, the drinks took forever and a day to get to our table. My wife went through three of their draft beers while continually being rooms that they were out of this and that. Finally she just asked for anything that they had. She ordered the Ahi Tuna and said it was very good. Caesar salad was very good. I ordered a NY strip, medium. The food took forever and when we got it, my steak was well done at best. I rarely, if ever serve food back but for a $55 steak, I did. They returned with another one that was also over cooked. At that point, I was so hungry that I ate what I could and left the rest. They ended up discounting part of the meal which was appreciated but that doesn't solve the problem. This used to be one of our favorite places. read more

Great dinner last night with friends. We reserved on Open Table. The ambiance is upscale and elegant. Our waiter, Allen, was excellent, knowledgeable, kind and endearing. He did a wonderful job taking care of us. The Lobster and Shrimp eggrolls and the calamari were all spectacular. We started with those. I had the special Chilean Sea Bass for my entree. It was served over a bed of delicious spinach and black rice in a Beurre blanc sauce. It was stellar. I culminated the meal with the Chocolate Bread Pudding which is served warm with ice cream and does not have raisins. I loved it. I will definitely return and try the Shrimp Scampi, which also looked delicious. read more

We are very picky about the places and times we choose to go out to eat these days so we were thrilled they had a late night dining reservation. We sat on the enclosed patio area that has huge retractable windows on a warm night. All the staff wear mask and the tables are 6 feet apart. The food was outstanding: For our starter, we got the calamari. It was served with chopsticks and had an Asian fusion flare to it. I loved that it is not overly breaded and it's calamari medallions vs. a mix of that and tentacles. For our entrees, we got the crab cakes, short rib, and salmon. The crab cakes had lumps of crabmeat in them and were not all breading like some other establishments. My husband's short rib was so tender, it could be cut with a butter knife. The sauce was flavorful and it was served with kale and roasted potatoes. My cousin had the salmon and she raved about the sauce. She loved that it was flaky with just the right amount of sear and wasn't dried out. Luckily I got a picture of hers and didn't get my hand stabbed with a fork because she ate it so quickly! For dessert, we had the classic chocolate bread pudding which was very rich. The sorbet seemed to be mostly syrup/fruit compote and not as "icey" as we would've liked. The creme brûlée was adventurous with a strawberry theme but didn't translate as well as we'd hope. For cocktails: we had the Prosecco (a little sweeter selection than I'd like as I'm prone to enjoy more dry), the old fashioned which was murky as if a juice was used and too sweet for my husband's liking. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Summary: I enjoyed our overall experience including the ambiance of the inclosed patio. The food is great, but the drinks and desserts are ok and leave a little more to be desired. read more

How did I not know about this place? Everything about SOHO was amazing. I went with a friend for dinner and this is the place she chose. I previewed the menu before meeting her and was blown away by the wide selection of menu options. The ambience has an intimate feel with dim lighting. There is a small outside patio. I love a good patio but it's getting a bit chilly so we opted for inside seating. The inside is lovely. We sat in a booth in a corner. Perfect little area. The servers were friendly and accommodating. Really appreciated that. Let's get into the food. I had a sangria ( it was delicious) I ordered lobster and shrimp rolls for the table. They were sooooo good!!!!!!! For my main dish I ordered the Burgundy braised short rib. It was extremely tender!!! Like you touch it with your fork and it falls It comes with creamed corn and sautéed kale. I am normally to full for dessert, but I couldn't resist. I got the chocolate bread pudding! Came on a Saturday night and sat outside as the weather was perfect. The menu was expansive without being overwhelming and well priced for the portions. We ordered the glass of wine and tapas combo for $16. I had the red blend (nothing special) and the garlic shrimp which was 3 perfectly cooked jumbo shrimp in an oil garlic scampi like preparation. I thoroughly enjoyed it though my mom though it was a bit salty. We asked for bread and sopped up the extra flavorful oil and she didn't find it salty this way. We then shared the New York strip for 2 ($51, well done) with broccoli no and Mac and cheese. While requested well done the meat looked very great and barely recognizable as a steak BUT it was somehow very tender and the renderings on the plate made for a good au jus thought it was served with another steak sauce. The broccoli ran was just ok and I used the steak sauce on it. I liked the Mac and cheese more than my mom but she still thought it was good. The portion sizes were appropriate for the prices and we were full but not stuffed with no leftovers upon leaving. The restroom was clean and service was attentive. Another great night! It was our 16 year old's special birthday and we wanted to go a place she would have lots of choices (she can be a little picky!). Soho came to mind because they have great steak and plenty of veg and even chicken options, among things she might want. Our server was Chappelle again and she was once again great! I went with the sea bass with bok choy that I loved last time, but substituted sticky rice for the purple and loved that it came a little crisped up, like a healthy hash brown, while still all sticky and soft inside. Other chosen dishes were the jumbo (tail on) shrimp pasta, the Springer Mtn chicken, and the blue cheese crusted steak. Everyone enjoyed it ALL! Oh! I forgot to mention we started with the delicious hot-sweet (thanks to the mango and the calabra chilis) calamari - even better, it was all rings. No dessert for us since we had cupcakes (and Girl Scout cookies!) at home. Soho in Atlanta is truly a gem in the city's nightlife scene. The decor is stunning and elegant and the atmosphere is perfect for a night out with friends. The menu is full of amazing dishes from all around the world, but their standout dish is the apple and sausage raviolis. The raviolis are cooked to perfection and the flavors are incredible! The elk fillet is also out of this world, perfectly cooked and with a unique flavor that you won't find elsewhere. All together, Soho is a must visit spot in Atlanta, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone! My only note would be on the side dishes,...the breads, the beans, etc that all seemed like maybe they once had their own unique flavor but are now just plate decor rather than flavorful additions to the dining experience. read more

Soho is an updated American resto in the Vinings Jubilee. Reservation is recommended but you can often get seats at the bar or several high tops without. This is an update based on my last couple visits. + Ambiance is upscale and business casual. Week days, there are lots of business lunches. Weekends and evenings are mostly locals. They serve 30s+ customers but mostly older clientele 40 - 70s. There are several DRs including outside patio and a large U shape bar where you can get their full menu. Bar can get overly dolled up older women on the hunt for sugar daddies and drunk old guys who are well really old. It reminds me of tame Palm Beach scene at times. The DRs are fine though, kind of on the upscale quieter side. + Food is hit-or-miss. Their pastas and salads have been just okay. Sometimes, their dishes are over salted. I'd stick with the seasonal specials. My faves are elk steaks and butternut squash soup. They do have a decent wine list too. Wednesday eves, they offer wine flights and are the breezy kind. It's reasonable and nice to sit outside on their patio during warmer months. + Service is good here. They are well trained and know to keep your glasses full. The bar tender can get busy with table drink orders and can be slow to attend to you if you dine at the bar. + Price is on the higher side but reasonable for the area. $20 - $30pp for lunch and $30 - $60pp for dinner. Additional for beverages. + Parking is free and shared at the Vinings Jubilee.
