Hibachi Rice -- Shrimp
Bill A.

Real good local restaurant. Really designed to be a take out restaurant. The staff was super friendly and responsive. Ordered food for a couple of days. Went with the cheesesteak and shrimp hibachi rice. The cheesesteak was real good, good flavor and the steak was cooked nicely. The cheese was real good, it was a "whiz" mix with good hints of cheddar. The fries we nice and crispy. The shrimp rice was good. It was a tad bit on the sweet side and could have used some acid and heat to balance it a bit. The rice was cooked perfectly. One of the staff recommended the wings and smash burger so I will be back to try. Generous portions, perfect spot for pick up meal.

Lemon pepper hot wings and fries

It was ok, I was a little disappointed in the fries, and I did request 10 piece all flats however 2-3 of the pieces were drums. I only got one small container of blue cheese for 10 wings, I was advised it would be $1 for another small blue cheese but she gave it to me for free as a courtesy. Personally $1 for premade blue cheese that small is wild. I wasn't a fan of the peach drink, very sweet if it was more tart or had lemonade in it, I think it would've been tastier. But for the overall price it wasn't bad

I love this place! I ordered to go and when I got back home it was still steaming hot and delicious. I got the combo that comes with chicken pasta and wings with shrimp. At first I didn't know what to expect from this place but it certainly was not this amazing experience!! The shrimp was delicious and flavorful and paired together with the pasta that I got made it all the more amazing. Chicken? Perfection it was seasoned properly and cooked to the point! They put their whole heart into their food. Now the wings could've been better. I love wings so I was excited to try but the only downside I would give is that when I got them they were a bit too salty..they were so salty I could barely taste the sauce on it. My family and I enjoyed this place and would recommend!!

The food is served fresh My buddy had the fries & steak Philly she was licking her fingers. The fries reminds of McCain fries! Google it! Unfortunately I ordered Rasta Pasta- if you would like to taste or enjoy this pasta, DO NOT buy; this was all flames (unless they reduced the heat). (not sure if it was the Scotch bonnet peppers or jerk seasonings) So freakin hott I couldn't eat it. I rinsed it off and it was still hot. Sadly I wasted $20. I'll have to do the regular pasta the next time* Service was prompt-it was crowded The Ambiance is a cool spot in a cool area When the weather warms up, get on in here order ya food, sit outside & enjoy Now we need a location in Mableton!

Ok...this place is one of those Atlanta staples and popular spots and my mother and I decided to try the food considering we would always see a line. The place is cute and has Atlanta sayings along with Atlanta themed menu items. The customer service was good, the cashiers were patient, playful, and friendly and the manager and I'm also assuming owner was in there handling business taking care of things. He was very polite, helpful, and such a gentleman. Now I truly think this place should be called Good AF and not Hungry AF, because our food was great but I feel like the portions should be more for the price. A sista and her mother can get a scoop of rice or two more lol! Upon first glance the plates look full AF but once we got home and put our forks in, the depth of rice was disappointing! I got the whole chicken hibachi and my mom got the 6 wings with the shrimp hibachi. She also got the blue Koolaid like drink but as I mentioned, the food was delicious! I would go back to try other food options.

Combo #2 - Wings & Pasta

After getting rained out at a festival I planned to attend, I pivoted to this takeout eatery that's been on my wish list. It was about 9:30 PM and they're open late in a small shopping plaza with a Jamaican & Tacos spot. Parking is easy in the rear to walk up and place your order. Upon walking in, there were others waiting, ordering or reading the menu. It's a targeted menu on what sells - wings, pasta, sandwiches (Philly style), fries and fried rice. The fried rice seems out of place but it works! For my first meal I tried the combo with 6 wings and pasta. It comes with a drink too. I upgraded my pasta to shrimp & chicken which was an extra $3+ dollars which wasn't mentioned at the register but that's fine. Orders take about 15 min as it was Saturday night, lots of walk-ins and online orders were going in/out. They call your name to the counter and show you the meal in the box before they wrap it up. Presentation was great and I was impressed. The taste once I got home - matched my first impression. Very tasty and seasoned Alfredo pasta with shrimp and chicken. Not too salty, balanced with a cheesy sauce. The shrimp were a great size and peeled. The wings were the star - I got the Trae Young flavor which is honey garlic and lemon pepper. Hit the spot and I'll be back. My only feedback is it's rather pricey but you can stretch a plate between two people. With a $2 tip this was a $30 meal so be mindful to feed a group.

6 lemon pepper wings with salmon and pasta
Alyssa S.

Found this place while visiting the area and decided to try them for lunch. The young lady at the counter was very friendly and answered all of the questions I had. They had interesting combo meals like Philly sandwich with fries and wings, wings with hibachi rice or wings with pasta (to name a few). I ordered the 6 wings with pasta combo and added salmon. You can choose your wing flavor so I chose lemon pepper. The wings were prepared the way I like them, crispy with a perfect amount of lemon pepper. The alfredo pasta was creamy and the salmon had a tasty garlic sauce on it. Everything was very delicious.

Fresh pasta! We were a little cautious to our chagrin and ordered just spaghetti and mushroom ravioli and we were more than pleased with the quantity and the quality of what we received. The delivery was early on Thursday when it was supposed to be at the house, it came in a nice bag, instructions not only for cooking but how to store the leftovers, as if there would be any. They even went as far to recommend freezing if you wanted and the expiration date. We had a dinner party and I usually go to a specialty shop in NYC when there on business..............remember those days when you'd travel for business on an airplane? I'll explain what an airplane is later. I need to tap the old grey matter to remember just what the heck it was. LOL This pasta stacks up with what I'd guard with my life against pilfering from TSA and Delta personnel. So in a nutshell I'd give these guys as many stars as are in the universe if Yelp would allow me to. It is wonderful to see a new artisan business in this area and if I have anything to do with it they'll be a HUGE hit. I guess while were all staying home and earning our COVID 15 this is one heck of a way to get some of the tastiest carbs on the planet.

Maybe next time, and maybe a whole pie instead, as I'm not typically a fan of pizza that stays out on the counter for a bit. That's just me, I bet this is usual, so no points off to them for this. I decided to grab The Marino from their menu. I really enjoyed the meatballs. They were super flavorful, a lot better than most places. The bread they used seemed to have been more on the Ciabatta side. The texture of the bread was soft and not hard to bite into. The sauce was not doused on this, which was great for me, so I didn't get any in my beard. It said panini, but I didn't sense the bread was pressed at all. Maybe there is something different about this in Italy that I'm not aware of? The sandwich was great overall, I wish it was larger or had an option to be larger. At $9.99, I really can't complain. Coulda just gotten two. Maybe next time! :D The shop is really cool and carries a lot of Italian/EU imports. I was able to find a jar of Nutella that is imported, which if you know, imported Nutella taste different than US Nutella and comes in a glass jar instead of plastic and taste creamier. They also had lots of pastas, sauces and candies. Some Easter stuff leftover as well at the time of this post. EU easter candy is better than American easter candy. :D When you walk in, the line sort of leads to the back and you make your way up to the front. In the glass, there are various burrata's available for around $8 each. Good for making your own pizza or perhaps an Italian dish. I didn't pay attention to what milk was used, but this is Georgia, so you make do. The drinks are all canned or bottled. They had some imported sparkling waters. You can tell by the fact that the caps don't twist off and are attached to the bottle intentionally because the EU requires this to avoid pollution by people leaving bottle caps all over the place. The young lady at the counter super knowledgeable and ready to answer questions. She was very sweet and good to talk to. I came after a lunch rush, so she asked me to pick a seat and let her know so she can clean it up. Very much appreciated that. Place is a little small and not a lot of seats. If you happen to come during lunch hour, be prepared to get the order to go and sit outside or across in the park center of the square. It's very well maintained from the looks of it and would be a great picnic area. Overall, I enjoyed this location very much. I would definitely come again to try some of their other offerings.

Pros The quiet, intimate, and classy atmosphere was exactly what I needed for my family. When we first arrived, our table was not ready and we had to wait outside. However we were given continuous updates on when the table would be ready, they apologized, and they were very understanding. Considering we were a large party in an intimate space, we understood and only waited about 20 minutes before the table was ready. You could tell the food was fresh, the orders came fast, and the service was amazing. The fresh in house pasta took everything to the next level. It was the perfect night out. Cons The establishment is intimate so I do not think it would ideal for extra large parties. I randomly decided that I wanted Italian so we decided to check them out for the first time. Mezza Luna is located in a very small plaza with a tight parking lot. I'm so glad that I read the reviews in advance about parking, but I still wasn't prepared for what we saw. Surprisingly, there were 2 or 3 open spots when we visited around 7pm. We had reservations and were quickly seated after being greeted. The restaurant itself was quite intimate, offering only a few tables that were laid out in a manner that had us all quite close. But it worked! Since we had our son with us, they already had a high chair ready for us but he slept through the entire dinner, which also shows how peaceful it actually was in there. I started with a glass of chianti and it paired perfectly with the complimentary starter bread. That focaccia was so fresh! The crust had a great crunch but it was still soft and fluffy inside. We went with the meatball appetizer special which included 4-5 meatballs covered in marinara, fresh tomatoes and burrata. They were delicious, although the tomatoes being cold was a bit of a surprise. For dinner, I went for the chicken piccata and my partner opted for the chicken marsala. Both were great and packed with flavor. Such an unassuming place with tons of flavor waiting inside - perfect for date night or just a nice Italian dinner!
