    Three piece whiting dinner
    Nakema G.

I ordered a three piece whiting dinner tonight since I had a taste for some fish. It took a while for my food to be prepared so the guy who took my order gave me a free drink. When I finally received my order I asked for tarter sauce and mustard in case I didn't like the tarter sauce. The pieces of fish were huge. I could only eat 1 piece. The fries were really crispy just like I like them. I was very disappointed with the tarter sauce, but I had already been warned by a previous review. The tarter sauce was sweet and just not good.

Whiting (3 pcs) with fries and cole slaw

I was passing by this place on the way to my hotel so I decided to stop and give them a shot. I ordered the 3 piece whiting dinner, that comes with fries, cole slaw and white bread. The fish had some bones in it but it was good and seasoned well. The fish is a nice size for the price you pay. The tarter sauce was good and they give you some ketchup but if I would've been home I would've been able to doctor that fish up the way I really like with some hot sauce or mustard or malt vinegar. Depends on what u like to do. Next time I'm staying in this area I would give them another shot. They also have sushi, they are actually connected to the sushi restaurant next door they have a breezeway where you can walk between both places.

The flounder was great, flavor was great, it was fresh! Fries were not seasoned. Tartar sauce was pawpin! The fried shrimp was good but the batter was like tempura batter. It was so filling portion size was generous can definitely feed 2! Definitely coming back again when I'm in town.

Not bad and not perfect but If you want to save a few dollars and grab some decent seafood, you might want to try this place out. I was able to get one piece of fried catfish, seven shrimp and fries for about $13. The juicy crew across the street charges $16 for just the shrimp and fries which is an eight count. Don't go looking for bright lights and a cozy atmosphere but you'll be in and out really fast. It isn't a soulful Sunday recipe so expect a slightly different taste than what your momma tosses in the oil. However, it's good enough to go back. Especially if you don't want to wait and save some money.

Variety is the key word. Not much for ambience but the service and food is good. Sushi, fried fish, seafood anyway you want it.

Genuinely curious about the generous cuts of fish I saw in others' experiences as all our rolls were small (think the size of a big toe for reference...) I normally choose to not write a review if I have a poor first-time experience at a family restaurant and opt to visit again, but this visit was so disastrous that I cannot stomach the thought of round two. Service: First dish (ton-katsu) came out after ~30 minutes after ordering. Rolls came out 45 minutes after order. The restaurant was not packed. We were notified ONCE by our server while she hastily dropped off the ton-katsu saying "your sushi is late but you know all of it is." Food: - Ton-katsu (3/5): The sides (potatoes, miso, and salad) were fine. The meat was intriguing. It was impossible to eat without it falling apart as there were evidently two different mystery cuts of meat (one dark, one white) packed together. The texture of the dark meat resembled that of stale hamburger patty and the white meat was probably pork tenderloin? Regardless, it was fried nicely, but was incredibly dry and overall meh (especially for the price). -Georgia Roll (1.5/5): I love wasabi and spice in general, but this was not it. The wasabi mayo had way too much wasabi and it was inconsistently distributed throughout the roll. Almost inedible. The roll itself was not packed tightly and started falling apart before I started even eating it. -Dynamatic Roll (2/5): Overall, it was fine as there were no glaring errors that pushed it to the inedible front. The amount of eel inside was negligible and there were pieces that didn't even have any towards one end. Roll was also packed poorly and fell apart before we touched it. -Fried Scallop Roll (1/5): Wayyy too much eel sauce inside the roll. All I could taste was overly sweet teriyaki. 2 of the 8 of the pieces didn't even have a single scallop-- only tempura bits! Despite being fried, the scallops were cold inside, which was an odd experience. All I could taste was eel sauce and raw onion. Did we finish the food? Yes, because I don't want to waste food. However, I could not on good conscience recommend it to even my non-existent enemies.

I shared the Karaage and Korean fried chicken with my friends and didn't find either to be something I would reorder, however I will say that my friends all spoke highly of the Korean fried chicken. For my main, I had the Wagyu Maki and it didn't live up to the expectations or price at all. We finished off with the mochi which was very tasty. I'll caveat this all with adding my friends who had the ramen and fried rice enjoyed their meals a lot more than mine. This could be a result of just ordering better items or just having a one-off bad experience myself. Overall, I think if you're avoiding seafood then Yakitori Jinbei might not be the best place to try in my personal experience.

I stopped by on a Tuesday evening around 8 PM, placed a call-in order, and it was ready in about 20 minutes--super convenient! I went with the fried rice and the Korean-style fried chicken. The place has a nice moderate-sized space with pleasant outdoor seating, and the staff was really friendly when I picked up my order. Once I got back and dug in, it was clear they use super fresh ingredients, and everything tasted like it was made to order. The fried rice had nice, layered flavors, and the chicken had a clean, crisp bite with a tasty sauce drizzled on top. Honestly, I couldn't quite see what all the major hype was about, but it was still a solid, good-quality meal with great presentation. That said, given the other more affordable options in the area with better portions, I probably wouldn't go back on my next visit. Would recommend if you're looking for fresh, quality ingredients in a convenient spot!

Ingredients were NOT fresh, really it wouldn't surprise me if it had been in a display case all day, that's about what it felt like to eat it. Since I wasn't in the mood to sit down and eat, I went ahead and placed a call-ahead order for their House Lo Mein along with an order of fried chicken wings. The restaurant itself is fairly spacious with a nice, welcoming atmosphere once you step inside. The décor gives off a classic Chinese restaurant vibe that feels comfortable and relaxing. Parking, however, is a bit of a mixed bag. The spots right in front of the building are limited, so I ended up using the extended parking lot, which was a little dark and had that slightly eerie feeling at night -- nothing too wild or dangerous, but definitely not the most well-lit area I've seen. When I arrived to pick up my order, I was pleasantly greeted right at the door by the staff, who provided genuinely friendly and efficient customer service. That warm welcome made the whole pickup process smooth and quick. Once I got back to my hotel room and finally dug into the food, I have to say the House Lo Mein was prepared with fresh ingredients and good quality noodles and vegetables. It wasn't the most outstanding lo mein I've ever tasted in my life -- I've had versions that were more flavorful and better seasoned -- but it certainly wasn't the worst either. I'd honestly describe it as pretty mid-tier: solid, reliable, and worth what I paid for it on that particular evening. The fried chicken wings, on the other hand, really stood out to me. They were extra crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and actually had some noticeable flavor and seasoning, which made them quite enjoyable. All in all, it was a decent and satisfying meal that hit the spot after a tiring day. The portions were generous enough, and the value felt reasonable. I could definitely see myself returning to The Orient sometime in the future if I find myself back in the area and in need of a quick Chinese takeout option. That said, with plenty of other restaurants nearby that offer more affordable prices and bolder flavors, it probably wouldn't be my absolute first choice the next time I'm craving something similar.
