Surprisingly, for a small strip mall - an amazingly great restaurant! There was only maybe two other people in the restaurant because we went late at night. But the service was great and I think the server was amazing. We ordered enough food for 10 people! Four entrées and a bunch of appetizers. The appetizers include garlic, broccoli, spider, roll, sushi, shrimp, tempura, shrimp, udon noodles,

Very yummy authentic Japanese food! They have a great selection of all of the traditional Japanese delicacies that you crave with freshly made sushi and generous sashimi slices. Very attentive service too! Thanks for being part of the Smyrna communiste for 20+ years!

Really good sushi and gyoza! Seemed pretty fresh and the gyoza meat was good. We ordered online for carry out and showed up a couple minutes late and it was ready which was good. Friendly staff

You like sushi but you hate spending $40 for three rolls? You and me both, so you are about to be happy that you came to Sushi Tong's Yelp page! Located in the heart of Smyrna at the intersection of Atlanta Road and Paces Ferry Road sits Sushi Tong. It is not much at first site as its part of a long standing shopping plaza that features a Mexican restaurant, a liquor store a few stores of differing varieties...but this is one place you DO NOT want to judge by its cover! I will say that my review is solely based off of the take out experience. I happened upon this place mid-Covid, so all my orders, four to be exact in the past few months, have been take out. While they do offer deliver, pick up is pretty seamless, so I make it happen. Service - Great! All my orders have been by phone, I call in, place my order and pick up. On their busy nights they preemptively tell you that the preparation time could be longer than what they quote you. They do give you the option to leave your number and they will call you once your order is ready. On my last trip, I was quoted 30 minutes, however it took 1 hour. I called at the 40 minutes mark and was greeted with a slew of genuine apologies and an update that there were 3 orders ahead of mine. I wasn't mad, they handled it perfectly and gave me the update I needed...I mean, I wanted my sushi, so it could have taken 1.5 hours to be honest. In addition to this experience, every time I make an order and pick up, whoever assists me is beyond friendly and helpful. Sushi - I mean, this is why you are here...so, here ya go! I am a creature of habit, so I tend to go for my main staples and with Sushi Tong, that is no different. However, I will say that I have tried a few of their specialty/House rolls and have been very happy! My order usually consists of... - Spicy Tuna Roll - $5.00 - Shrimp Tempura Roll - $5.95 - Yummy Yummy Roll or Fire Cracker Roll - $7.95/$8.95 I will say that the Yummy Yummy is my favorite specialty roll. It is basically a deep fried spicy tuna roll with a special sauce drizzled across it. To be honest, you had me at deep fried. The sushi is solid quality, even at the prices, well especially at the prices, as you would expect low grade and poor quality, but that is just not the case here. The sushi is high quality and delicious! You can get a belly full of happiness for around $18.00...for (3) rolls...y'all know that is unheard of!! Overall, Sushi Tong is my absolute go-to place for sushi. As a new Smyrna-nite, it is great to have found a locally owned, small sushi shop who has the prices right and the commitment to making tasty, fresh and affordable sushi!

This place was great. Needed a spot to eat while in the area and this one has good reviews and prices were pretty awesome. We had our whole place to ourselves around 7:15pm on a Tuesday evening. Very relaxing, peaceful environment. Service was great overall! The food was so delicious. I got the dumpling soup and the dragon king rolls. Both served very fresh and in a timely manner. Will definitely be back here if I'm in the area.

I dropped in for lunch today. I ordered the shrimp fried rice. It was awesome. There are colossal shrimp, and they were not stingy. The spring rolls were delicious. I loved it so much. Everything was cooked to perfection and with freshness.

It's COVID-19, everyone. Social distancing has begun to be our new normal. We're not quarantined but restaurants are not allowing any dine-ins, only takeout. I wanted affordable sushi, so chose Sushi-Tong because even though I've never physically seen the location, I've given them a try in takeout. They have been consistently tasty each time. Usually, I only order sushi but this time, added the shrimp fried rice. I should've taken a picture, it was so much that three people ate off it and there was still leftovers. It looked like the shrimp was actually lightly tempura fried which l hadn't seen before in fried rice. I didn't eat it but the consensus of the three was that it was good. Their food appears fresh, the tuna in the tuna rolls is more of the canned meat type but it's decent. My favorite is the Fuji Roll, I smile when I eat it. Its filling and you don't feel robbed after eating it. No sushi disappointment here.

I moved from Orlando last year where I had my favorite locally, family owned sushi place. It's always so hard to find places that remind you or are similar to your old standbys. This place fits that bill for me. I've been 3 or 4 times in the last few months because it's so good. It's truly a family owned place and they are very nice welcoming there. The gentleman that makes the sushi is so talented and everything tastes amazing. The prices are also very reasonable (especially considering inflation). The atmosphere is so quaint and nicely decorated, however unfortunately they only do to go orders now, no dine in. Overall, highly recommend this place and will continue to support!

They were offering a buy-one-get-one-free deal on the chicken fried rice, which we decided to take advantage of so we could have leftovers. The portions were huge, which was definitely a plus. The chicken fried rice tasted good and was made fresh, but it could have used a bit more seasoning. It felt like something was missing, though I couldn't quite pinpoint what it was. Since the delivery took about an hour, I did have to reheat the food once it arrived. Overall, the price was great, especially considering the portion sizes. However, because the restaurant is a bit farther out, I did end up paying extra for delivery due to the distance.

Since I wasn't in the mood to sit down and eat, I went ahead and placed a call-ahead order for their House Lo Mein along with an order of fried chicken wings. The restaurant itself is fairly spacious with a nice, welcoming atmosphere once you step inside. The décor gives off a classic Chinese restaurant vibe that feels comfortable and relaxing. Parking, however, is a bit of a mixed bag. The spots right in front of the building are limited, so I ended up using the extended parking lot, which was a little dark and had that slightly eerie feeling at night -- nothing too wild or dangerous, but definitely not the most well-lit area I've seen. When I arrived to pick up my order, I was pleasantly greeted right at the door by the staff, who provided genuinely friendly and efficient customer service. That warm welcome made the whole pickup process smooth and quick. Once I got back to my hotel room and finally dug into the food, I have to say the House Lo Mein was prepared with fresh ingredients and good quality noodles and vegetables. It wasn't the most outstanding lo mein I've ever tasted in my life -- I've had versions that were more flavorful and better seasoned -- but it certainly wasn't the worst either. I'd honestly describe it as pretty mid-tier: solid, reliable, and worth what I paid for it on that particular evening. The fried chicken wings, on the other hand, really stood out to me. They were extra crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and actually had some noticeable flavor and seasoning, which made them quite enjoyable. All in all, it was a decent and satisfying meal that hit the spot after a tiring day. The portions were generous enough, and the value felt reasonable. I could definitely see myself returning to The Orient sometime in the future if I find myself back in the area and in need of a quick Chinese takeout option. That said, with plenty of other restaurants nearby that offer more affordable prices and bolder flavors, it probably wouldn't be my absolute first choice the next time I'm craving something similar. Still, if you're looking for a convenient, no-fuss spot with friendly service and consistently okay-to-good food, The Orient is worth considering.

We also had a Sheldon room with spicy tuna, and it was square instead of the regular roll, and we really enjoyed that one, too. When we come back, we'll be tempted to order the same rolls, if we can figure out what they're called, but if not, there are so many other phenomenal options on the menu we'd be happy with.

There were a few cocktail options (some a bit more pricey than I was anticipating - ie: espresso martini for $18), so I stuck with prosecco which was served in a miniature bottle and poured for me. The server was patient and kind - surprisingly splitting the bill from the get go with a larger group of 8 people! I got the ginger salad and fried spring rolls as a starter. Ginger salad was standard -- iceberg lettuce with carrots, topped with a zangy ginger dressing. The spring rolls were tasty, namely that they were crispy and went well with a sweet sauce as well as a VERY spicy mustard sauce. I got the Mongolian beef entree which came with rice. Wow -- the meat was so tender, great flavor (a bit sweet though -- tempered with spicy mustard I saved) and a huge portion. It was a great value for the price and was several additional meals for me once I took it home. This dish was also just a great comfort food. Their menu offers Chinese, Thai cuisines, hibachi (in front of a hibachi grill), and sushi -- appealing to many when someone may be wanting Asian food within that cohort of options!
