We had reservations and I was lowkey stressed about parking because we were getting close to the cutoff time, but there was plenty of parking which immediately saved my mood. We even got there a little early and the host suggested we check out the speakeasy literally right inside such a fun little moment. We were only there for a bit before getting called to our table, and the whole vibe inside is super upscale, dim-lit, and honestly very romantic without trying too hard. Our server was on it the entire time checking in just enough without being annoying (which is rare). We ordered a bunch of sushi and everything was fresh, delicious, and felt super intentional. Nothing felt rushed or half-done you can tell they actually care about what they're putting out. And the best part? It was all super reasonably priced, which kind of shocked me for the vibe. I would 100% come back. Like... already planning it.

We love Eight Sushi! The food is always fresh and tastes great. Our kids love the chicken teriyaki entree and we usually opt for the chef's selection of sashimi. The cocktails are unique and also tastes great. Service has always been top tier when we go. The ambiance is upscale/casual. Definitely great for date night. We love sitting on the outdoor patio that was newly renovated recently.

I keep going back and forth between a 3 and a 4 for this restaurant, a 3.5 option here would be ideal. While the food was overall a big hit, I am completely disgusted with the bathrooms here. I am assuming there are many patrons that come whose stomachs cannot handle raw fish, and there's just simply not enough time to clean the stalls. Additionally, I am not sure if my friends and I showed up on a day that it was severely understaffed, but the pacing of the meal was completely off. While our waiter was super nice and attentive, our food showed up way out of sync. I finished both of the rolls I ordered before anyone else's food even showed up. In before anyone says I could have waited for everyone else's food, I am not going to have raw sushi sitting out baking under the little outdoor heater for 20-30 minutes. On top of that everyone was completely finished with their plates and had to ask about our friend's last roll that hadn't come yet. And when she said, if it's not ready, we can just cancel the order and move on to dessert, the Manhattan roll materialized almost immediately, as if it had been ready for some time and was just waiting to be brought to the table. In terms of the food, everything was really good except the King Roll. We ordered it expecting it to be some type of spider roll, and it just did not have the signature crunch we were looking for. It was so bad, my friend who ordered it didn't finish it and didn't even want to bring it home. Overall, the experience was not worth what I paid for. While I cherish the memories, Eight will stay forever in my past.

Very nice establishment, the ambiance gives lounge vibes, the service is pretty good, they have a QR code that populates the menu and they have multiple servers coming around asking for your order or if you need any assistance. The sushi was pretty good, I enjoyed my Casanova roll.

My friends and I were excited to try this place! We came in the middle of the week for dinner so we hoped for the best in terms of not making reservations. I had trouble finding the place so my friends were waiting for me before they could seat the whole party. In the meantime, they enjoyed the full bar and had a few gin cocktails. I joined the ban wagon and was not disappointed. In terms of drinks, we shared the monroe tuna, madai carpaccio, langoustine roll, casanova roll, and explosion roll. Carpaccio was delicious but always on the small side. To be honest, I do not recall which roll is which at this point but I do know we were underwelmed by the pan fried rice dish having had enjoyed it so much at another restaurant. The other rolls were more so okay. Overall, a solid spot but not some place that would be worth coming again especially as it is very far from me. Prices are especially steep for me to not be wowed. Staff were nice and the ambiance was romantic and intimate.

4.5/5. First visit & very impressed This was my first time dining at Eight Sushi Lounge and I was genuinely impressed. The environment, innovation, and quality all stand out in a big way. Service lagged a bit, and I do think truffle is slightly overplayed on a few dishes + across the menu, but overall the experience was fantastic - I'll definitely be back! There's also a separate moody lounge to the left when you walk in, perfect for cocktails before or after dinner. Loved that touch. Standouts * Kampachi Serrano - Super fresh and unique. Baby yellowtail with cilantro and a ponzu slushy... such a fun, bright bite & idea * Tuna Crisp - A must. Slivers of tuna on a crisp with just the right amount of truffle oil... and I'm usually not a truffle girl * Eggs Benedict - Slide it down the hatch for an instant punch of flavor. Absolutely loved this one * Orange Is the New Black - Simple salmon in cilantro oil. Clean, fresh, fantastic * Rolls & Nigiri Tasting - No clue everything I tried because it was a large tasting, but everything was excellent. The walu nigiri was my favorite. * Miso Seabass - Always a home run, but I appreciate that it actually comes with sides (veggies + grilled rice patty) instead of being served solo like other sushi spots for the same ~$40 price * Miso Steak - Tender, flavorful The "Still Good" List * Monroe Tuna - Their take on crispy rice with spicy tuna. Delicious, but the truffle wasn't necessary; I would've preferred to taste more of the tuna. I still prefer Umi or Houston's version. * Green Bean Fries - Tempura green beans, fun to share. I do wish the menu offered healthier/lighter options for a sharable snack mid meal... like charred shishito peppers, eggplant or Japanese sweet potatoes, or even pickles veggie board * Gyoza - Solid. * Chicken Teriyaki - Juicy and flavorful, good for non-sushi eaters. Overall, Eight Sushi Lounge brings creativity, freshness, and a great vibe! I'll absolutely be back.

This is the spot. We live for a good date night here at eight. Get a reso, and remind yourself this is ATL and not New York. It totally has a crowded and NY vibe imo. Ooo!! Love the tuna crisp, rice to meet you nigiri, langostine app and Casanova roll.

Sushi is an absolute gem. The food was outstanding -- fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can immediately tell the quality and care that goes into every roll. The drinks were just as impressive, well-balanced and refreshing, and paired perfectly with the meal. What really set Ate Sushi apart, though, was the service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the entire experience feel effortless and enjoyable. Between the incredible food, great drinks, and excellent service, Ate Sushi is a spot I'd absolutely return to and recommend.

Came to Eight Sushi to have a work dinner with some colleagues. We made a reservation for 6PM on a Wednesday and they were super flexible with our group arriving at different times which was great. I thought the restaurant was the perfect to volume to maintain conversation. I ordered the mocktail version of their lychee martini and it was a good! To eat, we only ordered a bunch of different food. Our group loved the tuna crisp but for me it was too truffle forward. The other apps like the spicy shrimp and vegetable tempura were all great and each and everyone of the rolls was unique in a different way but the best had to be sashimi/nagiri. Each piece of fish was so fresh and delicious and worth the price!! We had to get some dessert as well and we got one of everything. Overall, a delightful menu and experience and grateful for the staff!

Lovely sushi spot in ATL! There are few sushi spots that we enjoy, but Eight sushi consistently delivers. It's got a nice ambience - inside is dimly lit with stylish tables (perfect for date night) and outside are a few tables to enjoy the breeze (or the heat if it's cold out). The fish is fresh and the rolls are creative, it's far from authentic but still tasty. Our favorites are the tuna crisp (great flavor, with a nice snap), burlesque roll (nice crispy bits), and explosion roll. The kampachi serrano and the shrimp saku saku were ok, nothing special. Their dessert menu is variable - once we went they had a nice Japanese cheesecake with matcha. Another time, they had only American desserts. Solid spot!

So if you're in the Howell Mill area and one of some sushi, this will be a pretty decent spot to try out. It's on the corner if you go around the block, so it's not like on the front facing part of the street, but it's there! There's street parking there, or you have to find your own for the most part. But street parking is not that expensive so it should be fine! You walk in and you're greeted, everybody was pretty cool last time I was there. Last time I was there. I chose to sit at the bar, and it worked out okay on my side. Bartender is really cool and getting me some good customer service. Has some nice conversation as well! Gyoza - they were good and pan fried to perfection. They were not overly big but had a good flavor. Vegetable spring rolls - they came out mad hot and fresh and had a great fried crunch. The sweet and sour sauce it came with took it to another level as far as sweet and savory goes. Shinobi roll - the roll came out with a really good presentation. Came out with 8 rolls and they had a great flavor. Casanova roll - a really great balance of sweet and spicy. The peppers on top were an extra (good) pop to the savory flavor. Good spicy and would for sure order again. Part of me felt like for the prices that they're charging. They kind of could give bigger portions, but I feel like that's probably by design because they want you to keep ordering. But if nothing else at least the taste was good, so I have to take that into consideration! Overall I would probably go back again. It is a nice spot and it actually gives an air of date spot vibes if you wanted to do something because it's somewhat intimate. Not like dark candle light, but maybe. But either way it goes. You don't have to have solely a date night to go here, the food's good on his own regardless.

Literally one of my favorite sushi spots in the city. If you're looking for a nice spot for a date night, happy hour, or even solo dinner, sushi 8 meets all those needs. This is probably my 2nd or 3rd time here and the sushi still holds up nicely. Whenever I come I always get the Langoustine roll because it's such a unique dish. The texture reminds me of a rice crispy treat and the jalapeños adds a hint of spicy and smokiness to it thats just amazing. The other two rolls I got were delicious as well! Im not the biggest fan of their side dishes but in my opinion, when it comes to the rolls, You literally can't go wrong with any option on their menu.

Sake Toro Nigiri

My husband and I love coming here. The staff is great and the environment is perfect date night vibes. My favorite go to is the wagyu sando and sake toro. The matcharita is great too. You can never miss with their sushi rolls. The fish is fresh and ingredient combination is everything

Ask the Community - Eight Sushi Lounge

Do you have a live hibachi show?

No, this is an upscale sushi restaurant There's a bar and outdoor seating.

Do you guys have reservations?

Hi Karen ! Yes, they definitely do have reservations. I would recommend setting a reservation before visiting.

Are toddlers welcome?

It's definitely rowdy enough for toddlers.

Hello? I have been calling all day, someone picks up says something illegible then no other words can be exchanged. Are you closed down or open for service? Are reservations required/suggested or can a part of three walk in and be seated fast?

Please call 404-796-8888

Best places to park nearby?

Valet parking structure adjacent, just to the East. There probably won't be any street parking available.

What time is happy hour? From out of town--should I make reservations beforehand?

Definitely make reservations, they seem to be in high demand. Great food and excellent service. I would call about happy hour.

Which rolls are dairy free or can be made dairy free?

Not sure but perhaps you can ask the rolls made without sauce or get nigiris. They harp themselves on the sushi experience with their sauces.. but it's your choice in the end!

Do you have any gluten free sushi rolls?

yes

We received our menus and if you're in to a French style menu, this is the place for you. I had the avocado tartine (toast), and others in my party had the eggs Benedict, the crepe; and pancakes. Two of us also ordered a mimosa. Because it was my aunts birthdays, they were given a small treat. It's quiet and very cute ambiance and lighting. They have tea time from 1-4pm which I will definitely be back for. ***I gave this place a 4 only because the menu was sort of limited from what I had known to be a buffet style brunch and I think, to me, I needed a little more seasoning.***

As you'd expect at the Four Seasons it's a very upscale ambiance and the staff is always very welcoming. The bar itself is large enough to hold a dozen or so seats and there is extensive table and banquette seating in the floor area. They have a selection of house cocktails and I've been happy with each one I've tried (my eye always moves to the bourbon/whiskey options on the menu). There is a limited food menu that is definitely way better than standard "bar food" though neither is it fine dining; it's perfect for a light meal. They do have music certain evenings so it can get quite busy then or on weekend nights. Prices are a little above what you can find nearby in Midtown but again this is a five star hotel; I think it's worthwhile for the occasional visit.

I sat at the bar and had a little light banter with the bartender who is a brother looking to be in his late 30's-early 40's. When I asked about two fruity cocktails from the menu, he flat-out said he wasn't going to make them. That alone was off-putting. Trying to move forward, I asked what he specialized in, and he said he'd "come up with something." I agreed--but very clearly stated: no rum, because my body does not react well to it. After watching him make drinks for people who ordered after me, he eventually handed me a cocktail I never even saw him prepare. That already raised a flag. I took a few sips, and sure enough--my stomach immediately started reacting the exact way it does when I've had rum. When I asked what alcohol he used, he said, "I don't even know." That response alone tells you everything you need to know. At that point, I reminded him I specifically said no rum. Instead of taking accountability, he tried to argue and backtrack. Let me be clear--when a customer tells you not to use a specific liquor, you don't ignore it, guess, or "forget." That's basic service and basic respect. This situation completely threw off my evening, as I had plans afterward and ended up feeling sick. To make matters worse, I reached out to management and received no response. That lack of accountability speaks volumes. At the end of the day, this wasn't just a bad drink--it was careless service. This staff does not prioritize customer care, and that's a problem. If you choose to visit, be very direct, pay close attention, and don't assume your requests will be respected.
