Birthday mochi and fruit surprise on the house!
    Janet W.

My husband made reservations for my birthday and I looked at all the recommendations from my fellow Yelpers. We are ordered the fried calamari and baked scallops for appetizers which were delicious. We ordered three sushi rolls initially, the toro roll, crunchy roll, and beef wagyu roll. They were all tasty. Then we added a fourth roll, the shrimp tempura roll. My son told me that it was the best sushi he has had and ruined all other places for him. I even received a complimentary mochi and fresh fruit plate for my birthday which was an extra special touch! What a delightful cozy restaurant to celebrate a milestone! Thank you for the lovely attentive service!

Randomly found this place and such a great find! Food was fantastic and fresh. Classy and upscale, I'd come here for a date! We had several rolls and hot green tea, the best. They also open late and great service. Our waitress was attentive and courteous. We'd be back here whenever in town! Fantastic sushi!!

Came here on a Tuesday night for a fun going-away dinner and was seriously impressed! The food and drinks were incredible -- the Baked Lobster Tempura is a must and the crab tempura roll was so good I'm still thinking about it days later. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a cool open kitchen area where you can watch the chefs in action. Service was good, and parking was super easy -- just around the corner. Definitely planning to come back. I have a feeling this might become my favorite sushi spot in Atlanta!

MF Sushi is a beautiful restaurant that offers not only sushi but other Japanese inspired dishes. I was in the mood for sushi and MF Sushi delivered. If you are just in the mood for sushi this may not be your place however if you are looking a complete experience this is your place, but it is not inexpensive.

I love MF Sushi!! I'm a frequent customer here, and they nail it every time. The food is delicious, the ambiance is intimate and classy, and the service is always great. I highly recommend the shrimp tempura and eel roll, it is my absolute favorite! The spicy tuna roll and yellowtail roll is also good, and I love the Geisha cocktail drink. I've also tried the lychee cocktail and can't remember the name but there was one with champagne and berries, both of which I also recommend. The lychee cocktail did have a stronger alcohol flavor, while the other two are on the sweeter side. MF Sushi is always a 10/10 for me, and I definitely will be coming back again!!

The way I wish I could have kept eating here. I was with a group of people so unsure of the apps we ordered, but hey we're all super good - the one I remembered the most was the truffle salmon - so good. I ordered the Benton box style spicy tuna and it was easy to eat and the perfect amount of spice. I ordered green tea, and the staff was amazing it never letting it get room temperature. Would definitely eat this location again as the staff were great, the evening ambiance was truly nice.

A sushi lover's dream! Such a cute, modern, vibey place to eat some amazing sushi! Had a dinner date here after doing a sake tasting at The Vine Club and this was one of the best food decisions I've made! Absolutely loved all our nigiri choices. The lobster box was phenomenal! Everything tasted fresh. I loved the muddled champagne cocktail! Will be adding this to my list of regular sushi options! Service has been great both times I've been.

I always love coming here bc this is the firat place where I've tried raw sushi and actually loved it. All the fish is fresh and the flavors are so good & melt in your mouth. The restaurant itself is a little small so for HUGE parties it can be uncomfortable. But I do have a bias towards this place because of the lovely introduction to raw fish but the service is attentive and the food is delicious. Parking can be a little confusing and there's a parking garage right by the restaurant but you can get turned around pretty easily but other than that, I recommend coming here ! It is a little pricey but I'm willing to pay more for fish that won't make me sick :)

one of the best restaurants in Atlanta. I went last night with my sister and we absolutely loved the experience and the food. The service was incredible; the team was beyond kind and attentive. Everything we tried was stellar. The hamachi nigiri was the standout dish, we ordered three rounds. They also have an off-the-menu toro nigiri that was fabulous. I will say the nigiri and sushi appetizers really shine more than the rolls. The Cod was also very fishy we had to send it back. My only critique: the lighting is a bit intense with bright overhead lights, and the music was very quiet.

I really enjoyed the food!! Sooo fresh & yummy! Service was awesome! Ambiance was definitely a vibe, my only issue would have been the space in between one another's table .. way too close i can actually hear the other folks conversation .. I'm still going to make this a sushi place worth a stop!

Wow!! I've been to MF sushi before in Houston Tx so when i saw they had one here in ATL we went to try it. AMAZING!! Service was great, sitting at the bar but the server was very attentive. Chill ambiance, casual, not too loud. 100% recommended. We'll be back soon

We had a reservation at 9:00pm but we were starving so we called and they had a table for us at 7:45pm. It is a pretty busy restaurant, but I never felt neglected by the server. It's a little noisy but not too much that you can't hear the people at your table. Every thing we ordered was amazing and I'd go back just for the toro and wagyu! It's honestly well worth the money and you can taste the freshness of everything as well. The drinks are also tasty and kind of strong! It was a 10/10 experience.

We were excited to try MF Sushi, given the hype surrounding it, but unfortunately, it fell short of our expectations. The atmosphere was nice, but we quickly noticed a few flies around our food, which was definitely off-putting. We started with the Truffle Aioli Fresh Salmon as an appetizer, and it was one of the highlights of the meal. Fresh and tender, it melted in our mouths, and the truffle aioli added a nice touch. For the nigiris, we tried the O-Toro, Madai, Hamachi, and A5 Wagyu Beef Aburi. While the O-Toro and A5 Wagyu Beef were decent, they didn't blow us away. The Madai was underwhelming, and the A5 Wagyu lacked the depth of flavor we expected. The Hamachi, however, was a pleasant surprise. We loved the sear on it so much that we ended up ordering it twice. The rolls were another story. The Lobster Box Roll had way too much rice, and the Toro Osaka Box Roll was not to our taste at all. We sent it back because it was just off--too much rice and very bland. We also tried the Cod, but it was overly sweet and had a strong fishy taste that we didn't care for. Overall, MF Sushi didn't live up to the high expectations we had. The food was decent, but nothing was extraordinary, and some dishes were downright disappointing. The people are nice there, but the service was lacking. It was more about the experience than the actual food. If I had to choose, I'd much rather go to Eight Sushi Lounge--better food and a more enjoyable experience. Some pictures below! (did not upload sea bass because it was not presentable).

It's in a very walkable area if you happen to be day-chilling on the Beltline, so parking is truly up to you. BUT if you're coming specifically for Yuji, there's a paid parking deck right next door with decent pricing (if memory serves, the first 2 hours are free, then maybe $10 after?). And if you get lucky, there's street parking! A friend and I arrived a little earlier than our group and sat at the bar for our first drink. The decor is so soft and modern, and the plush bar seats were definitely a plus. The cocktail menu was very balanced in my opinion, with something for everyone. If you have a specific taste, definitely talk to the bartender or server for guidance before ordering. I believe I had a cocktail called Smoking Jacket that was delicious! We were seated promptly at our reservation time and had a great time. I'll need to go back to try the rolls because I was too caught up in the miso soup with crab meat, the baked lobster tempura, and the fatty salmon sashimi. The only thing I would say is that service dragged near the end when we had to wait a while before receiving our checks. Everyone had been done for a while, but I also understand that restaurants have pops of business and volume, so it wasn't a big deal. Still one of my favorite sushi experiences this year!

I actually got a text about 30 mins before our reservation that our table is ready, which worked out perfectly because we were just waiting around anyway. We were seated right away upon checking in. Our server/bartender greeted us right away and informed us of they still have happy hour until 7 pm. We grabbed a few items from their happy hour menu - bang bang shrimp (only 3 pieces for $8 but they were nice big pieces) and purple sweet potato fries (my favorite of the night. Battered with tempura, covered with salty and was so good)! We ordered additional items - calamari (it was nicely cooked and soft), katsu bun (my hubby's favorite as the bun was soft and the pork was thinly pounded and crispy from the breading, pork kimchi fried rice (I opted for no egg. Had tons of pork pieces but really no kimchi flavor and was definitely on the sweeter side) and green beans (nicely cooked with bits of char with a sweet sauce). Their must-get drink though is the Thai tea martini! And for dessert we ordered additional items mango sticky rice. The rice could have been cooked a little longer but loved the mango sorbet and coconut cream it came with. We really enjoyed everything and looking forward to the next time we come back.
