Not bad for express sushi and hibachi. From what I've had, it's on par with Publix or Sprouts sushi. The general tso's chicken had several pieces of just breading and then had random pieces of broccoli underneath the chicken. The broccoli was super saucy and over cooked so not that pleasant. I liked the fried rice. Be warned, it's just fried rice without egg or vegetables. I like that it's clean inside and that my food is ready when it says it will be. Just got togo from this spot. I got mango chicken with fried rice and cucumber roll. Food portions are good and service was quick. The mango chicken tasted like sweet and sour chicken with a few pieces of mango (I would vote tin drums mango over this one). Fried rice tasted like brown rice- not many veggies or eggs, and strong taste of brown rice (still fine though). Cucumber roll was an 8 piece roll - can't really go wrong with that. Few cons though- they weren't happy about me coming in at 945(close @10) without calling in an order first. I was offered limited menu since they had started to close up, which is fine. I still had good selection. The prices are slightly higher on the menu on their wall than the togo menu that they had right there on the table. I ordered on uber eats, didn't add anything special, used a promo code, ended up ordering more food so I could hit the minimum. I get a message that they had adjusted my price (with a vague comment that add on was cause for adjustment). I didn't add special instructions or add any extras, so I was confused. I live in the area and this is my go-to Asian food and Sushi fix for lunch or on a lazy day. I normally get the Chicken Teriyaki plate or the Bento box which is nice if you want a little bit of everything. The sushi grade here is not the best, but you get what you pay for. I have ordered from here to take to-go, you can also use DoorDash or any other delivery apps if you'd like delivery. I also actually don't mind eating here too because it is clean, and they play cool music (if you're into house). Overall, if you want a quick Japanese hibachi fix, and some sushi to go with it, you should definitely consider trying Fugu Express out. read more

I discovered this little hole in the wall after leaving Publix yesterday. Usually you shouldn't wander into random restaurants that serve raw food, but I was feeling really YOLO-ish. Well...I'm glad I risked it all, because it was soooo good!! I ordered the Bagel Roll which included, fresh salmon, avocado, cream cheese and then the entire roll is DEEP FRIED and topped with eel sauce and cream cheese sauce #Fire #Amazing. It was a hardy roll so I didn't order 2. I did order a side of spring rolls (2), and they were good. they tasted like spring rolls, nothing much to add here. The restaurant is super small. I think I've found my new lunch spot. The sushi could have more stuffing but it will do for my random sushi cravings, and now I don't have to drive to the other side of town for decent sushi. So far I've tried the Angel and Georgia roll along with the spring rolls. Both were delecious. I wont order the spring rolls again because they remind me of the ones from Panda Express, blah. Not as good as the mall chicken teriyaki, tbh. Chicken was fine, the filet was tough, and the sauce kind of bland. It looks like more meat than it is. Veggies were an okay portion and a little sour from steaming. The extra veg side was expensive and was a small portion. And the noodle upcharge was pricey at about $3, and really disappointing. They were super soggy and flavorless, and not sauteed with anything at all - just plain w/ the stir-fry dumped upon it. This place opened a few months ago in the Publix shopping center at Delk and Powers Ferry. It's a fast casual teriyaki and sushi place that's A-OK in my book. I ordered the Steak hibachi deluxe bento box. The meal comes with your choice of rice, steak, salad, 4 pieces of California roll, vegetable tempura and shrimp tempura. I got all of this food for only $10.25! It was a ridiculously huge amount of food. Everything was decent. Better quality than your shopping mall Chinese/hibachi experience, but not quite as good as your favorite Chinese or Japanese joint. My dinner companion got the three combination teriyaki plate - chicken and shrimp teriyaki and steak hibachi. This meal comes with rice and veggies. I stole a few pieces of veggies and thought that the items lacked any seasoning. All of this was $9.59 plus an extra $1.99 for the steak hibachi option. I'd say that the one thing I sorely missed was any type of sauce to go with your meal. Tempura typically comes with a dipping sauce that is lighter and less salty than soy sauce. The tempura did not come with any sauce so I ended up using soy sauce to dip my items. I also was craving some sort of sauce to go with the hibachi items. Shrimp/pink sauce, ginger or mustard sauce. Something. Anything. Sadly none of these were available either. Not bad overall. I'm sure I will be back to grab a quick meal to go after doing my grocery shopping. I do wish ,however, they included other traditional Japanese foods: chicken karaage, curries, and takoyaki. While ordering online please make sure to note these changes: -When ordering the 2 combo bento box where you can chose 2 different items. You can't double up on the same item. You can have double beef for instance. -Sometimes they'll run out of brown rice -any additional sauce is .25 cents -the main guy that works there is from china and granted speaks good english, doesn't understand our social and culture rules when it comes to the language. I've ordered Fugu Express several times. I usually go for the steak hibachi, which is good. The manager isn't the friendliest, but I don't mind too much because the food is usually good. I ordered a deluxe bento box for the first time, which includes fried shrimp. I take a bite out of my shrimp and can see in the part that's left in my hand, the dreaded poop string. Upon investigation, all the shrimp included in our two orders still had their strings. What a filthy, disgusting experience. If this is how careless they are about something obvious, how do they prepare the rest of their food? I will not be finding out. read more
