I dined in at Sushi Village for lunch with my family on a Monday (Labor Day) because we were in the area. I received the recommendation from a friend a while back and thought it would be a good time to try it after my favorite AYCE sushi spot closed. The lunch pricing is $17 for adults during the week and children are priced by height. My son received 20% off the adult price for being under 5 feet (over 4 feet). There's an area to place orders for take out and a small dining area for dine in to enjoy the All You Can Eat menu. We were sat at a table in the middle of the room and could see the sushi being made fresh from our seats. The menu included soups, salads, hot appetizers and small plates on one side and the other side included sushi. They allow you order up to 3 items from the hot food/app menu and 2 sushi rolls at a time. Our server was friendly and did a good job with keeping up with our orders despite of the busy lunch crowd and other larger party. I ordered the egg drop soup, cucumber salad, edamame, chicken teriyaki, veggie teriyaki, and two dynamite rolls. I liked everything I ordered including the portion sizes. The sushi rolls had 6-8 pieces and the plates and bowls reminded me of tapas which helped reduce waste. Others at the table ordered the miso soup, hot and sour soup, Krispy crab rolls, chicken katsu, fries and Boston roll. Gratuity is optional and editable when you check out, but set to a default of 18% unless you customize or opt to add more or less (or pay a cash tip). The food was good. I would return during lunch again for the sushi. I really enjoyed the cooked sushi rolls (especially the Dynamite Roll), soup and salad. read more

Both of my rolls did not taste good even the shrimp tempura is not fresh dip shrimp tempura like you seen in the pictures on the website. It's like pre-breaded and the flavors were just not coming together. My beef and shrimp meal was very salty and very spicy and over seasoned and I'm a person who really loves a lot of seasoning, but this was not something enjoyable. When I've come here before I've had a nice fried rice with extra veggies and just fried fish so I tried their other options. I'm gonna stick to what I used to buy. And I ordered fried Goya. Sushi Village is my default AYCE sushi restaurant to go to. I've been coming here ever since they first opened. You won't find a better deal for AYCE made to order sushi. Is it the best quality fish? Obviously not. But for the price? You can't beat it. Over time, with inflation and post covid, prices have definitely increased and the menu has changed, but currently dinner is priced at $26.99 per person and lunch is even cheaper. That makes them incredibly competitive with other AYCE restaurants. And unlike other places, there is no limit on how many pieces of sashimi or nigiri you can order. You can only order 10 per person per round, but they don't cap you out on how many rounds you can order. Between my husband and I, we usually order between 50-100 pieces of sashimi/nigiri in addition to rolls and appetizers/sides. What I have noticed over time is that their cuts of fish have become increasingly larger. They used to give far too much rice on their nigiri and rolls so you'd get full too fast. But now, the rice portion is definitely proportionate and the fish cuts have gotten better. The appetizers and sides come out hot, fresh, and quickly. They have many different things you can order. I came in to eat and he was an all you can eat menu reasonably priced at $26 thinking that item would be on the menu but it was not! In the mood for sushi and wanted to explore a new place in Cumberland. I did a pick up order with Grubhub and ordered a Sunny Side Up Roll. It was ready in 20 minutes. When I walked in, noticed there is a takeout side (right) and sit down side (left). The restaurant was clean but nobody in front to greet guests. The Sunny Side Up Roll was pretty good, but felt a little on the pricey side. However the crab salad was delicious and packed with a lot of flavor from the eel sauce. Overall, decent roll that would be worth ordering again, however, I'd recommend exploring their menu further for hidden gems of sushi. They also serve a variety of hot kitchen foods for people who arent big fans of sushi. The service is quick and friendly. The space is small, so it can get busy during peak times, but overall they get people seated in a timely manner. Parking can be a hassle sometimes though when there is a braves game, because most of the parking lot is taken up by the venue. They close for lunch and open back up for dinner. Main difference in menu is at dinner they serve a tad bit more options. The price difference though is not huge so you dont lose either way! Was recommended by a friend to come here after she had a great experience her first time here. Came here with a few friends for lunch on Saturday. No one was at the front desk but someone quickly came up to seat us, so no problem there. It's a pretty small dining space - some booths along the walls and some tables in the middle. You get two menus - one for sushi and one for appetizers and other sides. All are included in the $26 weekend lunch/dinner price (INCLUDING SASHIMI). Write down the # of each that you want and give it to the server and they'll bring them out a la carte style (don't worry, it's still a buffet - you can just order more). We ordered tons of sushi, to say the least -- sashimi, sushi (nigiri), rolls, sides, soups, EVERYTHING. It was all good. I'm a FIEND for salmon and the salmon nigiri and sashimi were pretty good .. nicely thick slices and very flavorful. I was super satisfied. The other sushi and rolls and sides were also great - no complaints! Definitely make sure you can finish what you order because they have written they will charge for any leftovers. I discovered this place years ago and I'm not even sure why or how. It was before the Battery was open. The sushi is amazing and the price for AYCE is unbelievable! My fav rolls are anything with salmon or tuna and I've probably tried all of them in the menu. Every time I ate here the service was friendly and fast. I've never had a single issue or unpleasant experience. It's a standard restaurant if you ask me. Nothing super fancy which isn't necessary for me. Long story short- the all you can eat was not worth it. $26 each and we didn't enjoy the majority of what we ordered. The goods- the crab rangoons ("cheese bags"), miso soup, and garden salad. It depresses me that these were the only things I have confidently say I would order again. The bads- sweet potato tempura rolls were quite literally raw, sushi rice tasted old and dry, vegetable noodles were strange and off putting flavor wise, edamame was served cold. Quality of ingredients was just bleh, even the soy sauce tasted off to me. The crunchy shrimp roll was OK but I wouldn't want it again. Veg spring rolls were pretty run of the mill, too. No more dessert on the AYCE menu. Overall a really disappointing experience and not worth the price because no-one wants to leave stuffed with low quality food, anyways. They also have the standard slew of rolls, California, Alaska, some with eel, avocado, etc. They dont have Sashimi, and they pretty much only have rolls, pretty well loaded with rice. I really enjoyed the sweet potato tempura (always a favorite at every Japanese restaurant I go to). My favorite roll was the Spicy Crab Salad Roll. Really tasty since the crab is sweet and the sauce gives it a flavorful kick! Just FYI - for every piece of sushi you don't finish, they charge 25 cents. I ordered one too many rolls and paid about $2 extra for the pieces I left, which is completely fine! I knew my consequences (lol). I'd definitely go back. Good atmosphere. Good service.
