The service was unacceptable. The bartender was rude, dismissive, and acted as if serving customers was an inconvenience. I was ignored for extended periods, and when I was finally acknowledged, the interaction was cold and unprofessional. Good customer service doesn't require a smile every second, but it does require basic courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, that was completely lacking during my visit. The bartender's attitude made what should have been an enjoyable experience frustrating and uncomfortable. There are plenty of places that value their customers, and based on my experience, this isn't one of them. Yard House made my first visit to Atlanta unexpectedly enjoyable. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly. I wish I remembered the name of the woman at reception, but she had impeccably styled dark hair, absolute boss energy (so may have been a manager), had a wedding ring, and looked like one of those stunning police officers you randomly see go viral on Instagram. Whoever she is, she deserves recognition because she set the tone for the entire experience. We had a small service dog with us, so we were seated outside. Thankfully, the atmosphere made it a great spot to hang out while waiting for the rain and post-baseball-game traffic to calm down. Our server Jason was fantastic. Super personable, attentive, and easygoing. We were mostly looking for a few good comfort-food snacks, and he recommended the cheese curds and poke nachos. I'd never had cheese curds before, but I'm glad I trusted him because both dishes were excellent. The poke nachos especially disappeared embarrassingly fast. I know this isn't the deepest menu exploration review ever written, but honestly, when a place makes you enjoy your time this much, you give credit where it's due. The Yard House was extremely busy today because of Savannah banana playing at the battery but The Yard House never missed even when there's a problem with the check they take care of you. We have typically enjoyed this restaurant at The Battery while watching/listening to the Braves play, half dozen times or more in a season!! Our favorite item, the poke/rare tuna nachos, usually delicious with a generous amount of tuna. However, when we went last night, 8/12/26, the chips were all stale (which really diminished the experience!) --keeping chips crispy is fundamental to nachos or any chip and dip item (we also ordered the spinach dip -- also came with stale chips!) An easy fix--get a warming drawer with a "dry" setting!!! Pls resolve this really basic food prep problem. Otherwise your restaurant is good and Shelly and Ebony were great servers!! read more

I first tried a Yard House location when I lived in California. To be honest, I don't really remember that experience, but this one at The Battery in Atlanta was extremely memorable. The location is in the center of The Battery, home of The Braves. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating and an amazing Happy Hour menu. One of my best friends and I decided to eat here and grab a drink before a concert we were attending at The Roxy. The service was amazing, and the drinks and appetizers were just as good. The interior is decorated in a bar like fashion and the overall ambiance is very quaint. We ordered a pour of whiskey, some beers, and two appetizers off the Happy Hour menu to share. We tried the Hummus and the Calamari and almost opted for the Lettuce Wraps but were extremely full from the first two! When an employee finally passed by, we asked when we might be served. She told us they were in the middle of a shift change, but offered no apology for the delay. Instead of taking our drink order or checking in on our table, she simply stood around looking at people passing by. Took myself on a date after work today and went to Yard House. It's conveniently located and I had a $50 gift card to burn. I sat at the bar as there were several openings or ppl waiting until their table was ready. I started with the Midnight Sangria. This drink is pretty and hits you later. It's Pinot Noir and Hennessy Cognac, Midori liquor and some other ingredients. For my starter I ate the chicken lettuce wraps. It's a healthy option but the sauces add sugar and calories. For dinner I did the Whiskey & Aged White Cheddar Burger. The mushrooms and spicy horseradish were the highlights for me! It was a lapse from my eating plan but worth it! Service was great from the bar staff. They all work together and each three served me at some point. Taking my order, getting my drink and checking me out. The music was mostly top 10 90s jams and brought back good memories. Atmosphere is a buzzing sports bar and grill with plenty of TV screens to watch your favorite sports. We were looking for a place to eat in the area around 9:30 pm and wanted to find a place that was open till at least 11pm, so we were not going in right before close. This was the only restaurant open in the area that late that was not fast food or Asian. As soon as we got off the highway, we were stuck in gridlock. Finally got to an entrance to the Battery area, but it was blocked off, so was the second. It took 40 minutes to get to an entrance that was open so we could park. When we walked in, we were told it would be a 30-minute wait, but then another employee came up and took us to a table. They had a baseball game on the TVs with the volume turned up way too loud, we had to sit on the same side of the table just to hear each other talk. We sat there for a significant amount of time before a server came over, he seemed very annoyed to see us. We came to Yard House to watch the Mexico vs. Ecuador game. The restaurant kept seating people and taking orders even though flooding had already started in the back. We were later told the manager, Shantya, was waiting on approval from the GM to close, but if the flooding was serious enough to shut the restaurant down, they should have stopped seating people instead of continuing to take orders. We waited about 40 minutes for our food. As soon as it came out, they turned off the game audio, changed the channel right as the match started, turned the lights up, and the servers started coming around to split up the bills. It made no sense to keep serving people just to rush them out the second their food arrived. What made it worse was the manager's attitude. Another table asked to speak with her, and she was rude, dismissive, and acted like everyone's frustration was an inconvenience. There was no apology or empathy. I'm a restaurant manager myself, so I completely understand that emergencies happen and sometimes things are out of your control. The flooding isn't the issue. The problem was continuing to seat guests, taking their money, making them wait for their food, and then suddenly ending their experience. Better communication and a little professionalism would have gone a long way. read more

Haven't been to the battery in years and went on a Friday night. The wait wasn't long at all. I had the Kale & Romaine Caesar salad with grilled Salmon. This was a unique salad but they did forgot the tomatoes, so I had to request them on the side. It had good flavor, but I would've loved more golden raisins to add sweetness to cut the saltiness. Between the kale, pistachios, croutons and salmon, it was very heavily salted. I got my pistachios on the side and that was a great choice. So if you're looking for a salad that has a unique mix of flavors and is good, get it but you may want your pistachios and croutons on the side to help cut a bit of the salt. But overall, really good value. My salad (which was a great portion and I couldn't eat all of it at once) was less than $20! read more

Yard house was a fantastic place to celebrate a birthday! Loved the yard long beers, as well as the gumbo (which surprised me with the perfect amount of heat and good proportions of protein and veg). The seared tuna burger was the star, and had an amazing sauce that set off the freshness of the fish well. The free dessert was a brownie topped with ice cream, very generous. Husband enjoyed his cheesecake with fries. Wasn't a full house yet, maybe 30 guests seated. Just very disappointing when you are hungry and leave hungry. I love salads but mine had such a weird taste and I have learned if in doubt, spit it out. Plus side was easy access to game.
