I also like they offer the chai tea to complement your meal. restaurant is clean. lunch buffet. they serve Naan (hot and fresh) to your table. I like the chicken in their dishes is real and not that processed frozen with lines in it. pricing is reasonable. you can order from the menu if you're not a buffet type of diner. read more

Mint Leaf was great. I was visiting town and wanted a casual ethnic restaurant for dinner. I was recommended by my local friend. I stopped by on a Thursday evening around 7 PM and the place was pretty quiet, with only a few other tables busy. They provided some free papadam and three sauces. We got the vegetable samosas (2 pieces), Methi Chicken (w/ rice), Saag Paneer (w/ rice), and Garlic Naan. I had never had Methi Chicken before but I really liked the creamy and spicy sauce. We've been coming here for the past 5 years and probably order to-go or in-person monthly. The family is so kind and they always treat our little girl to lots of smiles and laughs. Our favorite dishes are the aloo gobi, saag paneer, garlic naan, veggie samosas (which come with the tamarind and mint sauces on the side), tandoori chicken, and of course their aromatic rice. This restaurant has been in Smyrna for years and I've finally just made it in. My sweetie and I love ethnic food and right beside Caribbean and Mediterranean cuisine is Indian. The spices, the curry, the veggies, the meats and soup - it's all there. The lunch buffet is from 11-3 PM so you can take advantage of all the delights at a discount. Service is attentive and pleasant. They seat you, bring drinks and everything else is all-you-can-eat. They have a small salad & fruit bar (cold food) and a pot with white rice. I took pictures and videos of the buffet line because me plating it wasn't that pretty! Standouts were the curry goat and all the chicken dishes. Yum! The decor is traditional with Indian art, decor and Bollywood movies playing on the TV. Ask for fresh naan bread from the kitchen and splurge on a wine or beer. You can't go wrong here! read more

Nothing lacking IMO! Food . Service . I ordered chana masala (medium spice), sambar, and garlic naan. The chana was complex in flavor and the perfect level of spice for me. Scooping it up with the naan was nothing short of divine. And speaking of the naan, this is the best I've ever had. It was somehow incredibly flaky without being too dry. It was full of buttery, garlicky goodness. The sambar was a new dish for me and I really enjoyed it as well! It's a lentil based soup with some veg. It was a great, mild starter. I have never had a bad experience at Mint Leaf. We are always greeted with a friendly face, with minimum to no wait time. We love going to Mint for their weekend buffet where they have an array of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. I love starting with their appetizers like pakora with chutney, idli and sambhar before starting on the rice and palak paneer, butter chicken. They also bring fresh tableside naan which I love, so you are not eating cold naan that has been sitting on the tray. Absolutely delicious! I would definitely consider this an authentic place given it seems the clientele seems largely Indian. I can't take much spice and in my opinion, the food was really spicy--but that also speaks to how authentic it is! The naan was absolutely delicious though--super doughy and soft and chewy! We had gone for the lunch buffet and I think my favorite things were the tandoori chicken (which was probably the least spicy thing on my plate) and the chicken tikka masala (spicy)! Good size too! - Paneer Tikka Masala ($12.99): We got medium spice level, which was a little too spicy for us. The portion wasn't all that big, but between the naan, samosa chat, and house appetizer, we still had leftovers. - Naan ($2.29): Good! You can't beat the prices! I had been to this small Indian several times before pandemic, but this was my first occasion in the After Times. The venue is quite clean, but on weekdays, there is no lunch buffet anymore (only on weekends). We were fine with that and ordered à la carte. There was a standard large menu given to us. But only I (for some reason) got some special smaller menu that was included in the big menu. Ask for it if you don't get that. Within that smaller menu, I ordered the egg bhurji - essentially scrambled eggs with vegetables and various spices. I don't often encounter this in Indian restaurants (in fact, almost never), so I was excited to order this. The dish itself arrived in the standard bowl. It was actually much more food and more satiating than it initially looks - even without any rice! It probably doesn't hurt that I also consumed a fair amount of their complimentary papadam. And you can ask for chili sauce if desired. Service was friendly and authentic. And reasonably quick to refill water (at least during the time frame we dined). Very much enjoyed this lunch experience in a nondescript location. Beat expectations. Will be happy to return. read more

The prices are very reasonable and the quality of the food we ordered was tasty. I would have ordered the Gobi Machurin as a mild (vs. Medium) because it was spicy. Mint leaf was EXCEPTIONAL in all regards. My boyfriend and I were truly blown away. We were greeted and sat immediately upon arriving and the ambiance of the restaurant had a great feel. They gave us complimentary appetizers (that were delicious!!), quickly took our order, and the food was out in probably under 15 minutes! Presentation was amazing, it felt like fine dining but at affordable prices, and the serving sizes were large enough to have another meals worth of leftovers at home!! The FOOD. You have to try it!! So much flavor, and certainly the best Indian cuisine either of us had ever had. You can tell it's made with passion, love, and skill. My boyfriend literally couldn't stop saying "Wow, i can't believe it's SO good" the whole time. Let me start by saying that the GARLIC NAAN bread is amazing! Crispy in all the places and soft where it counts. The Lamb Korma is phenomenal. Even at mild it has a slight kick that is a bit high for small children. The Butter Chicken was creamy and super flavorful. I stole some from my child it was so good! The staff were very friendly, respectful and really professional. As soon as you walk in you are hit with the bountiful scent of the seasonings and food. Walking in at 11am sharp the door was open and majority of what looked like buffet was out with Regina (daughter)and Kalina (owner) placing the find dishes!
