The buffet was small, limited. There was dal, butter chicken, samosas, etc. I think maybe we just hit them on an off day? The rice was nearly empty and very dried out. They were out of goat curry when we went to the table but the waiter kindly offered to go ask the kitchen for more. I did not try it but my husband enjoyed it. There was a bin with a little lettuce and some tomato slices labeled salad. Some pappadum and some tamarind chutney. Meh. Should we go back perhaps I will try the bhel puri. The interior is nice, you can watch the employees make naan through a big glass window and the area clearly looks very clean and well-kept. The garlic naan was probably the best I've ever had in the US. I had the lamb tikka masala also, and we got a lot of lamb plus the sauce was delicious. Not as spicy as I prefer , but that's okay. Definitely reasonable food and taste for the price plus service. Overall: amazing Indian food spot in Midtown with top-notch naan, good service, and good food. Would definitely recommend.

We were first in line at the host stand, at the very beginning of dinner service, with a reservation. However, we had to wait as a group behind us was welcomed and seated. The host was the only person all evening who wasn't warm or welcoming - it was a chilly arrival experience, with parking validation friction and would have put me off from the start if the servers hadn't saved it from there on out. We were seated close to the pass, which was a fun spot to watch both the kitchen and front of house teams at work, as well as a comfy booth from which to observe the rest of the space (including snooping at other diners' plates - for inspiration, of course).
