I really enjoyed my meal here at India Eats! I see on their website that they have having a Grand Opening special, so this place must be pretty new. Well, welcome to the neighborhood! We got the Butter Chicken, Veggie Biriyani, Tandoori Chicken, and Garlic Naan, and none disappointed! The butter chicken was tender, the sauce was top tier (creamy, rich, with a bit of sweetness). The tandoori chicken was smoky was went so well with the yogurt dipping sauce. The veggie biriyani was packed with veggies (potatoes, peas, and beans). And the garlic naan had a crunch I've never experienced before! The staff was all super nice, and gave us advice on the best ways to enjoy the food. I even caught of glimpse into the kitchen, and it really felt like a home kitchen. Those always make the best meals. All in all, it's great to see a new restaurant arrive, and even greater to have it taste so good!

Right from the start, we received a very warm welcome from the staff. We chose to sit indoors, although they also offer outdoor seating. To start, we tried their Tikki Margarita and a smoked cocktail. The Margarita was sweet but quite strong--definitely worth the money. We tried their "Rupee beer", which is a light larger and it was very hydrating. For appetizers, we highly recommend the lamb kebab, which comes in a portion of four pieces. For the main course, we had the lamb biryani, garlic naan, tandoori chicken, and paneer. The biryani and goat curry came beautifully wrapped in a dough. Everything was absolutely delicious, but the highlights were definitely the biryani and goat curry. For dessert, we had Pistachio Kulfi, which is essentially a frozen Indian-style ice cream. The staff was extremely friendly and efficient, and we had a lovely time overall

This is the summary of my experience there: 1) Ambiance 3/5: The place from outside looks contemporary and chic. The bar looks inviting but as you enter the dining area, the place is dated. The decor looks shabby and I feel they should renovate for they have a reputation to maintain 2) Service 3/5: This was a hit and a miss for me. Though they are gracious enough to validate your parking, the service was at times good but at times slow and bad. One person was good at suggestions but the other person was really lazy. I went their for my birthday but they took about 10 minutes to get me a candle which was disappointing to say the least. 3) Food 4/5: This is where they excel. Although everything was pricey. The taste made up for it. We had: a) kaala khatta : This is basically shikanji but was refreshing b) mango chili mojito: My wife loved it. It tasted like you were eating raw mango with salt and chili powder. c) palak patta chaat - it was crispy and flavorful d) Chicken curry: Loved the taste. The accompanying rice was so less that it looked like a joke e) Chur chur naan and garlic naan: Pricey and ok f) Carrot halwa with ice cream: The combination was good but carrot halwa in general was ok. Tasted like the heated store bought frozen halwa 4) Value for money 3/5: Really pricey. The taste was look but for the amount, everything was pricey I would only return if I a really craving for Indian food with nothing in the vicinity and someone else is paying. The good: 1) Food and flavor Not so Good: 1) Decor 2) Prices 3) Service

He seemed a bit frustrated early on until he finally let it go. Grateful he let it go because the naan wasn't even good enough to have more conversation around it. Then i wanted gulab jamun but they were closing so he offered me cold gulab to warm up in the microwave when i got home. i did not love that option and opted out. only reason im still giving this place 5 stars despite the service interaction is because ive dined out several times and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. besides from the music inside, no reason to dine in again.

It was a nice day outside so we opted to sit on the patio instead of inside. Our server sat us and came back to take our order. The tables were already set with glasses and app plates. The food was delicious! For our appetizer we ordered the Beef Samosas. They were hot and fresh. The green sauce was spicy but really good. For our entrees we ordered the Butter Chicken and the Mixed Biryani. We also got an order of Garlic Naan and Mixed Cheese Naan. Everything came out hot and fresh. I added the butter chicken to my biryani and added some of the green sauce from the samosa and Whoa it took the flavors to another level. We had enough for leftovers and it tasted just as good the next day. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the Paneer, it said its cheese but tasted like tofu to me. My friend ordered the mango drink and enjoyed it. I ordered one too but never received it. Overall the service was decent. I felt like the food runner and the one who cleaned the tables was more helpful than our server. The manager did check on us as he also brought food out. One guy thought I didn't eat my food and we had a good laugh. I just got full quick. I would def return.

The food itself was good and the ambiance was nice, which made it feel like it would be a special evening. However, what was supposed to be a simple birthday moment turned into a disappointment. We were expecting our dessert to come with a candle, but not only was there no candle, the dessert was actually sent to the wrong table first. By the time it made its way to us, the moment had completely passed. It might seem like a small detail, but for a birthday celebration, those little touches matter. We weren't expecting anything over the top--just basic attention to the occasion. Overall, decent food, but the service really dropped the ball on what should have been a memorable night.

An Indian fusion tasting menu? Yes please! I'm glad we did, because our overall experience was really good. Firstly, in addition to the tasting menu, they have a great range of dishes and some happy hour specials too. The only less-than-awesome moment was our arrival. We were first in line at the host stand, at the very beginning of dinner service, with a reservation. However, we had to wait as a group behind us was welcomed and seated. The host was the only person all evening who wasn't warm or welcoming - it was a chilly arrival experience, with parking validation friction and would have put me off from the start if the servers hadn't saved it from there on out. We were seated close to the pass, which was a fun spot to watch both the kitchen and front of house teams at work, as well as a comfy booth from which to observe the rest of the space (including snooping at other diners' plates - for inspiration, of course). The server seemed surprised that we (as first-timers) went straight to the tasting menu, but quickly got organized and the drinks were with us within a few minutes. She was very present, explained everything really well, and handled my weird ingredient questions and preferences super well. The food was ahmahzing. 13 dishes in just over an hour - phew. Favorites and standouts included: - Green Papaya Salad: fresh, tangy and crunchy - Crispy Broccoli: vegetables never tasted this good. - Potato Dosa: too filling for a tasting menu, but the second-best bite on the menu - Dal Makhni: black lentils, creamy-dreamy and the best dish of the night. - Turmeric Fish: no idea what fish it was, but it was shockingly good. - Sticky Date Cake: yes, this is the British-originated sticky toffee pudding of my dreams, and beats anything I've had in the UK. Huge compliments to our server (Brett - she was amazing), the kitchen and to the management, who were very present all evening, checking in with subtlety and never overdoing it. I'm going to have to wait a few weeks to stop feeling so full, then I'll be back for a tour of the rest of the menu. I can't wait to bring out of town visitors; Ghee has brought West Midtown the type of southern-hospitality-meets-global-cuisine moments I have been hoping for. Welcome to Atlanta, team Ghee!

The veggie samosas were my favorite; they were so crispy, and the filling was perfect. Exactly what you want from a samosa. We also tried the masala fries; the seasoning on these was really nice. The fries weren't super crispy, though. I also loved the sauces that come with these; they're perfect for dipping. The lemonade is a pretty refreshing drink option, too, and they have a couple of different flavors to choose from. I've also been told the wings are really good here, although I haven't tried them myself. I definitely plan to stop by again and try out their fun pizzas. They have a huge and pretty unique pizza menu, which is definitely the star here.

I got a bowl half salad, half rice with tikka masala and chicken tikka. I... don't recommend getting salad base. It works with other cuisines, but it doesn't work as well with Indian. Getting salad toppings works fine though. It's filling with the rice and feels healthier because of the vegetables. When I visited, they were out of some of their offerings, which surprised me. It was 12:30. It is hard to guesstimate how many people will come in for lunch, but I didn't expect them to be out of mint chutney... The kiosk also is not updated regularly. It will say they're out of certain things, but you can see what's available when building your own bowl without the kiosk.
