One of my fav Mediterranean restaurants in Atlanta. The owners are so friendly and always give great service. I used to come here every week when I lived in Atlanta back in 2017-2020. I still come back when I come back to visit and the owners still always remember me and greeted me with the warmest smile. I will always come back here. The food is fantastic. Can't go wrong with their chicken kabob, lamb gyro, or wings. I typically pick it up to go, but they have a dining area as well. Finally checked out this restaurant for lunch. It was filled with employees and visitors from Piedmont Hospital (across the street) so I thought that was a good sign...or a sign that it's a convenient spot to grab a bite to eat. I had the chicken gyro meal with fries. The chicken was a little dry to me. The fries were hot and seasoned well. It looked like the lamb gyro was filling. This place is a great stop for lunch. From the wings to the different salads and houmous. The service is always excellent and fast.

First when I say the owers are so honest and truthful that is an understatement. When we arrived we ordered the lamb gyros with fries. In NC your gyro isn't big so we ordered two each. The owner looked at us and said no I will get you one and if you are still hungry after you can get another one. She was so truthful and wanted to make sure we didn't waste out money. When I tell you the food was so good and homey it was good. I am glad we listened to her because I was so stuffed I couldn't eat another bit after that. The gyro was filled with meat so I was completely filled. After we ate she check to make sure it filled us up. I can't wait to go to her sons restaurant in front of hers. My husband had a medical test at the nearby hospital, so after the test, it was lunchtime and we were hungry. We noticed this place on Yelp and it was close to the hospital, so we decided to check it out. It's located right beside a CVS pharmacy. There's parking in the back of the CVS and you'll see a little walkway to the restaurant. It's a small family-owned business but has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We went in and ordered at the counter. We both ordered the chicken gyro with fries. It was such a nice day, so we took our spot at an outdoor table. After a few minutes, the nice lady brought our food to our table. We were both impressed with the gyros. The pita was warm, the chicken was flavorful and plenty, and the vegetables were fresh. The tzatziki sauce pulled it all together. The fries were fresh, hot, crunchy and salted just enough to be perfect. We had a very nice lunch and we're happy we tried it out. The family also owns the restaurant right next door called Schwarma Non-Stop. We will need to try it out next! read more

Fresh 4 U is a small Mediterranean restaurant located next to the CVS on Peachtree St. across from Piedmont Hospital. The restaurant gets most of its business during lunch, presumably from workers at the hospital and other nearby businesses. It's slower in the evenings and weekends. During the daytime, the glass display case next to the ordering counter is filled with various Mediterranean foods such as salads, hummus, baba ghanoush, and dessert pastries. In my experience, these foods are cleared out at least 1-2 hours before closing time each night (8:30pm). This sometimes means there will be a limited selection in the evenings. The restaurant is closed on Sundays. The space is compact and the atmosphere is casual. The restaurant looks like it's got some years on it. There's sort of a fast casual setup with a self-serve fountain machine, but if dining in, plates are served to your table. There are multiple tables on the uncovered sidewalk patio and take-out seems to be a popular option. Fresh 4 U has a small menu, but it manages to capture many Mediterranean staples such as the aforementioned hummus and baba ghanoush, tabbouleh salad, stuffed grape leaves, Greek salad, pita wraps, lamb and chicken gyros, beef and chicken kabobs, and desserts like rice pudding and baklava. They also sell chicken wings. The menu is affordably priced with no single item over $8.99. The gyro combos are $8.99 and come with a side and fountain drink. The pita wraps are mostly $5.99 or less and come with a side. The food is filling and indeed fresh. I like the Beef Kofta Wrap and the Veggie Falafel Wrap. Beef kofta consists of ground beef meatballs that have been mixed/marinated in certain spices and onions. The kofta balls here are big, hearty, and a tad dry with a noticeable smoky flavor from the grill. The falafel are deep-fried balls made of ground chickpeas and are flavorful and satisfying. The wraps are neatly packed and presented inside foil wrappers and come with shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, hummus, and tahini sauce (made from lemon, garlic, and sesame seeds). As for sides, I really like Fresh 4 U's tabbouleh salad ("tabouli" on menu). I like this salad, commonly made with parsley, tomato, cucumber, mint, garlic, lemon juice, and olive oil, in general. The parsley in Fresh 4 U's version seems to be coarsely chopped, making for a thicker, chewier tabbouleh salad. It's interesting and a nice change from the more finely minced tabbouleh I'm accustomed to. The baba ghanoush, made from roasted eggplants, isn't bad either. Service is very good. The food arrives in a timely manner. A free parking lot is located in the back. To get there, turn at the light near CVS onto Brighton Rd. and follow it behind the shopping center. While Fresh 4 U isn't as big as a place like Mediterranean Grill or other similar restaurants, it does just fine as a simple cafe. I give them 3.5 stars rounded up to 4. read more

As I was down the street I saw Mediterranean and I had to bust a utuen in the middle of busy Peachtree Street during lunch time. And it did not disappoint me. Everything looked beautiful. When I asked why only 2, they explained that real falafel takes a long time to make. The rest of the plate was a tiny (2 tablespoons) cup of flavorless hummus, tiny (2 tablespoons) of tahini, and lettuce. Well, they might say that the tabbouleh is tabbouleh, but it was really just parsley mixed with lettuce, no bulgur at all. Not worth the cost. read more

Seriously if I could rate this place it would be a zero. A friend and I stopped in to try this mom-and-pop restaurant for a quick lunch( it's something we like to do). Initially the customer service was good(ok) after giving me a mini cup for ice water with No lemons!!! Ok so after having to refill my Sippy cup twice!!! The food came out within a reasonable time, but on a styrofoam plate!!! What in the world I thought , and the presentation was horrible. The sauce was thrown all over the sandwich and it look like someone threw up chalk over the dry chicken. Still trying to be a trooper I took 1 BITE just 1 BITE!!! Omg that chicken gyro was horrible. It had absolutely NO taste! I asked my friend how his food was and he said it was alright not the best. So of course I had to taste his food for myself. And he was absolutely correct, it was Alright. I have definitely had lamb Gyro at better places. I was absolutely over it ,and took my sandwich to the manager and told her that I didn't care for that particular chicken gyro sandwich. She snatched the sloppy sandwich out of my hand and told me that they don't like wasting food and that I was not going to be able to get the lamb Gyro. I said you don't like wasting food? I didn't understand that one!!! So I'm guessing in my head if someone doesn't like something and they haven't taken a bite out of it they just resell it to the next customer. Very tasty hole-in-the-wall Mediterranean restaurant. My girlfriend and I were craving gyros and this was the 1st place to pop up on google search. We both ordered the lamb gyros. She got fries and I ordered the greek salad. Our orders were ready incredibly quickly and were very delicious. They were hot and the bread was extremely good. Howdy doody folks. Another review from the skinny guy with a fat guy heart. Sooo...does the food at this place wow me...nah. Is it still a solid four star experience...yep! This place is located pretty much right across from Piedmont Hospital. It is park of a retail plaza that includes a CVS, a couple other eateries and some other stuff I honestly didn't pay much attention to (my stomach was growling). The BEST thing about this place is that it is one of few affordable "lunch" places I can think of in Midtown/Buckhead where parking is not really an issue. Sure you don't have a parking issue at Houston's up the street either but who wants to spend $20 for lunch. Not I!! This plaza has a parking lot in the back and usually has at least a handful on spaces available. OK..now to the service and food. The service has always been consistently friendly. Nothing particularly memorable but nothing that would stop you from coming. The prices on the gyros, kabob plates and wings are absolutely exceptional for this part of time...particularly when considering the quality of food you are receiving. Portion are also a reasonable size. I have never had leftover but I have not left hungry either. This time I ordered a Tilapia Gyro with fries. Came to $7.71. Now a couple of things. Of course I doubt is it really a part of their cuisine. Perhaps someone will correct me but this is the first time I've EVER seen a fish gyro offered anywhere. Not at any Turkish, Lebanese, Palestinian, etc...place I've ever been to. But while maybe not authentic I appreciate the fact that they offer some assimilated offerings that you may just be craving as I was. As a matter of fact I don't even eat Tilapia (google it and you'll understand why). The fries were fresh, hot, crispy and golden brown. Pretty much perfect. Personally I could have used a bit more seasoning salt..but the fact that I didn't ask (didn't want to OD on salt) probably means that for most people its sufficient. The pita was fresh. No hint of staleness which is a huge pet peeve of mine and can definitely ruin a sandwich/gyro. The tartar was tangy and creamy. The tartar actually saved the sandwich in the sense that the fish imho could have been seasoned a little better. But the tartar served as its seasoning. The lettuce tasted a touch old but it could have been just a lack of leafy lettuce. Most if not all the lettuce in this sandwich was iceberg. Would have been nice to have something with a bit more weight. All and all for the food you get; in the location you get it; with the ease of parking I cannot give less than a 4 star experience. However, if you're looking for REALLY REALLY good Mediterranean (I believe Israeli) head to Aviva by Kameel. The catch is the ease of getting in and out and the prices don't match up to a place like this. read more

I learned that a lot of places claiming to be Greek restaurants here are just Mediterranean, not true Greek, and it it definitely shows. If you want fresh Mediterranean food, this is the #1 spot in Atlanta. My fiancé and I crave this to the point that we have to have it once a week. The gyros are some of the best I've ever had, the stuffed grape leaves are to die for, and the hummus is something you'd taste in Greece. The owner home-makes all of the tzatziki sauce for goodness' sake. (Yes, it's a family owned restaurant). If you're thinking any other place, do yourself a favor and go to Fresh 4 U! read more

This place gets four stars from me mostly for the atmosphere and staff. The food was definitely decent but not four stars on its own. However, since I only had the lamb gyro with fries, I don't feel like I really know what they offer food wise. What did I like about the atmosphere? I thought you would never ask. There was a bit of a surprise factor there in that, this place is between a cvs and a cleaners. So you expect it to be tiny. It is tiny, however, they do a lot with a little space. The initial entry way has a couple of chairs which are primarily used by people who need to sit in the three or so minutes it takes to make their food. You get to see the food being made (which is cool) and smell it. Yum. And then, to the side, is a little cove with painted walls, music, b/w and sienna art work and cute little table and chairs. I dunno. I liked it. I could picture me having a mama mia moment in there. The guy at the register was all smiles and very eager to make sure that I didn't think the wait was too long. I think he took my snooping around as pacing and was a little concerned. I also heard him be very patient with those notorious special order people. Finally, the gyro was good. I know tzaki (sp?) isn't supposed to have a ton of flavor and is mostly there for the creamy texture but I would have liked a little more flavor. Otherwise the fries, bread, and meat were good. Good portion size for 6.95 (with a drink). All and all, I will definitely be back. read more

Wonderful Greek food. I'm a lamb gyro lover and this place does not disappoint. Their tabouli salad and Greek salad are both great, too. The tabouli salad has a lot of lemon, just FYI. I like it but you might not. The hummus is really good too. It comes as a side with strips of pita.
