Can't be mad at this lil establishment. It shares the smallest plaza ever with subway and a convenience store, so parking is atrocious. I can't imagine what trying to pull up here during the day is like. It's great if you're walking in the GA Tech area though. The beef in the shawarma wrap was wayyy too tough for my liking but the seasoning was phenomenal. We came in an hour before close so I'll take the blame here -- going to any restaurant an hour before close is basically asking for the scraps of the day LOL. Husband enjoyed his beef shawarma plate and all the side fixings (a salad and hummus) which was quite a lot in quantity. Good value for food is definitely here. It took about $30 to feed two, including a lil dessert and a side order of baba ganoush and pita. The pita wasn't my favorite. But the baklava was a yummy finish. I'd definitely be here more if I lived in the area. I appreciate that they stay open a little later than a lot of comparable Mediterranean spots. read more

I have been here twice and for the value it's quite decent. I paid 10-11 dollars for a full meal which is hard to come across these days. Unfortunately the flavor is a bit lacking and the chicken shawarma as well as the chicken kebab were very dry. The fattoush salad was also underseasoned. All of this would be excusable but the pita chips that were clearly fried and put directly into my styrofoam plate melted through and only discovered this after I had taken quite a few bites. A real shame given the hole in the wall / small business vibe, but I don't want to risk extra carcinogens each time I eat. read more

The food was good. The chicken 65 wasn't crispy like I know it to be from other Indian restaurants. But it was indeed delicious. I had the Shrimp Biriyani as well. It was ok. Nothing to go crazy about. I did try their Mango yogurt drink. I didn't know it was a yogurt drink. I thought it would be like mango juice. It was thick, like a melted milkshake. So I couldn't drink it with my food cause it was weird. It felt like I should wait til after I ate ..which I did..it was delicious. I do want to go back and try other foods. They had this food in a pot on the counter that resembled a stew. That looked really good. I would love to try that. Also I saw the woman fix a chicken schwarma plate that looked killer. I ordered from this over GrubHub. The food was not fresh and the chicken shawarma was cold, sour and inedible. I also got the Kafta Plate and got extra beef with it, but the beef was dry and the kafta was tasteless. Needed seasoning/salt just to make it palatable. The cucumber and tomatoes that came with seemed ok, but i question that. The hummus was average and tasted like it came from a jar. I'm just now waiting for the aftermath of what I suspect is spoiled chicken in the shawarma because it was sour. read more

This was a wonderful experience for us. We didn't know what to order so we really depended on the server at the ordering counter. The place is clean but the tables are a bit sticky. I made their chicken tikka my regular order, but there is very little consistency in both their food and business. Most recently ordered chicken tikka to go, went to pick up and gave both my name and said my order was chicken tikka. I come home to open my order and its chicken tandoori. Their chicken is typically very dry but the chicken tikka, usually, comes with plenty of sauce to help that but the chicken tandoori had little sauce to help save it. They also struggle with consistency; sometimes I get plenty of chicken tikka sauce, sometimes it comes with rice, sometimes they're on time (other times I wait 20+ minutes past their provided pick up time), and sometimes I don't get what I ordered. Really wanted to love this place but seems like I need to go back to Blue India instead. read more

This is off a busy street with limited parking so order ahead or pick up might be a good option if you're not walking . There are a lot of options, there's enough seating for about 30-50 people if needed but not a good amount of parking. There's tables and booths. Seems family owned and one girl was manning the cash register. I got the curry lamb and it come with rice. Came here for a quick lunch during the week. Very unassuming and plain, with a few tables for seating. Definitely not a place you're going to for ambiance, but the food didn't need it. I ordered a Chicken Shawarma Plate and the food was flavorful, hot, fresh, decent sized portions and best of all reasonably priced. They also offered a kids meal which was perfect for my child. Orders are placed at the counter and you take your food to a table or to go. I'd recommend taking food to go as there's very little parking and the interior is very plain. We came in Thursday evening after finding this restaurant on Yelp as my husband wanted lamb. I didn't do the correct search as he wanted lamb chops, which we didn't see and almost left. I'm glad we stayed as it was a good inexpensive meal; even with us both ordering extra items, our tab was than $40. I ordered the lamb biriyani as suggested by another patron, well he suggested the biriyani, not specifically the lamb. I was asked what spice level I wanted and I said a little kick, maybe less than medium. It was about that. The flavor of the rice is good with some texture I couldn't figure out. In the picture it looks like fried onions, but that's not what it is. The lamb is in there; it has big chunks of tender lamb. The meal could've used a tad more seasoning or salt for my palette. It came with a salad & I chose the fattoush salad. I ordered the side of hummus that came with a pita. My husband ordered a chopped beef bowl, I can't recall the name of it and said it was decent. He was stuck on the exceptional meal we had last Thursday at Pharaoh's Palace when we were in Alpharetta, which isn't fair due to the ambience & nature of the different restaurants. This is casual dining & the other is not. He also ordered tabouleh (the salad made with parsley) and baba ghanoush, the smoky flavor one made with eggplant. The young woman behind the was very friendly and helpful in answering our questions. The patrons we saw seemed to be a mix of regulars & a few newcomers like us. No one dined I see but us. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean. I'd visit again. They also have some good daily specials. My dish would've been the special Friday, the next day smh. It's in the plaza with Subway. Tzatziki sauce- a bit runny and lacked cucumber, brightness and fullness that yogurt has. Had a "processed/bottled" taste. Ordered samosas 2.99 - filling was a bit mushy/mashed potato. I hate to give a poor review, especially considering the staff is nice and it seems family run. However, my meal was not good. The chicken shawarma plate had very dry chicken, and the garlic sauce I ordered was not included. The rice was overcooked and dry. I had a scoop of hummus that tasted like it had turned and gone bad. The tabbouleh was fine. I also ordered baba gannoush, which was fine, but they neglected to provide the pita to go with it. In addition, I ordered two falafel, but they only gave me one. When I asked about the second one they apologized and immediately cooked me a new one. However I later realized the original one provided was overcooked and burned. Any one of these things could be overlooked (except the spoiled hummus) but the combination was too much. I won't be returning. read more

Tannour is a very casual spot, and it doesn't pretend to be anything. What I like about it is that it delivers on flavor. We got the falafel and shaved chicken - along with all the relevant toppings. Bursting with flavor. I highly recommend the sauces as a free option to provide some extra flair for your dish. Also got the baklava. It was delicious - but much smaller than expected. My dad and I drove here from Pembroke NC, we've never eat mediterranean food before. It surely will not be our last time. My dad and I both eat until we couldn't eat anymore. Really enjoyed the service. The owners of the place are super friendly and nice, explained the different options to my friend who had never been before. Even shortstaffed, they handle orders very efficiently. I had the shredded chicken and it was very good! When you order the falafel bowl, they make the falafel super fresh and give you 4 large ones so no fear! They also are generous with the sauces/ will gladly give you more if you ask for it later. Stopped here on a whim after an IKEA shopping trip. The food was amazing! Such great Indian food! Our group had the Tikka Marsala, Butter Chicken and Lamb Biryani. All 3 were amazing. Lentil soup was not the worst but had others with immense flavor. The sauces were quite liquidy, especially the tomato, garlic and tzatziki. I ordered via grubhub for pickup and order was ready on time. They still have dine in right now, but I felt safe walking in for pickup and workers are wearing masks. The prices are reasonable based on the great portion and quality of food you get. On top of that, the staff was very kind to me. The restaurant was clean when I went after Jummah. I tried the kufta kabob plate with rice and tabbouleh salad and baba ghonoush- delicious! I recommend it to others. Parking is very limited though. I asked about getting extra pitas and the person who took my order told me we were already getting pita with our order, but the two pieces were not nearly enough for the food we ordered and sauces provided. As mentioned, the quantities were good for things like sauces, rice, and hummus but chicken kabab was just ok and would have hoped for more than two pieces of meat with the kafta bowl. The meat was tasty though. I liked the fava bean salad quite a bit. It had a nice citrus-e flavor. The lentil soup had an unusual spice that we didn't love.
