Ali Baba platter Fruit Salad Tabouli Three Beans Salad Hummus and Pita Ezme Salad and Pita

Soooo... I am sad to leave a 3* as no doubt the food is probably good. The problem is that you ruin the flavor of everything when all of the salads are piled on top of each other. I can't tell the tabouli from three bean or anything else. Unfortunately it's one of my favorites. I was looking forward to it, by the way. Everything is mixed together, except for fruit and hummus. The falafel hurts my feelings as it wants to be good but seems a lil over cooked and cold. I'm sorry. Please separate the salads into containers. Please!!!

I was looking for a legit Mediterranean restaurant and I found one. I was greeted and it was explained how to order. I decided on the gyro lamb salad. And the portion was HUGE. My side was humus and warm flat bread. I was going to leave but was drawn into the eating area. It looked like I was in another country. The decor was like being on vacation. I definitely recommend this as a get away lunch spot.

I believe I know my Medertanian food very well and I must tell you all..... Ali Baba is da bomb! Lol..... I got the Lamb Gyro combo with Medertanian pasta/ feta cheese & Greek salad! I got all of this for $16.00 plus tax. Chef Ahmet and Manager Jojo made a killer lunch for myself and had to get a box to take half of it home. Mmmmm- yummy!

Mediterranean platter with feta pasta salad, dolma, falafel, bean salad, ezme, hummus, baba ghanoush, tabouli, and greens salad

An amazing hole-in-the-wall place with extraordinary vegetarian and veggie options. The $14 Mediterranean platter is absolutely massive. It comes with a pita, dolma, falafel, bean salad, tabouli, greens salad, ezme (a bell pepper / tomatoey sauce), hummus, baba ghanoush, and feta pasta salad. It is so big that 3 people could split it as a MEAL. Almost everything tasted yummy and flavorful and healthy. I wasn't a fan of the pasta salad but otherwise loved the humungous portions and variety of options. I would absolutely come back here again. The baklava (doesn't seem made in store) was very soggy and syrupy so would skip. The man at the counter was very kind and generous. Seating is in another room with comfortable pillows and benches. Very cozy.

I was in Atlanta for a couple days, staying near Little Five Points. Friday night I took a trip to the Mediterranean from Ali Baba. I picked up a large, delicious bowl of perfectly spiced and marinated lamb, fresh tomatoes, lettuce, and feta in yellow rice from the restaurant. Huge pools of Babaganush and hummus were on the side to drop the lamb in. Combined, this was such a special, local dinner treat! And definitely large enough portions of deliciousness for at least two people! If you're local to Atlanta, this place should be on your order list on at least a monthly basis.

I took a few pictures inside while I waited. Right at 6p, my guest arrived. We were seated and greeted by Brandon, our waiter. He shared the specials with us and asked did we want anthrax else to drink. ABSOLUTELY! I ordered the Daou Cabernet $18, full body red wine. Amazing taste. We ordered the squash blossoms stuffed with crab. OMG! Best ever. For my entree, I ordered the medium well lamb chops. 3-day marinated & grilled over an oak wood fire, Greek fries, "tzatziki" soooooo good $39. I also ordered a side of brussel sprouts $10. I was very surprised at the price of the sprouts, but they were very flavorful. With me still in birthday mode, I was gifted a dessert which I had no idea it was going to be complementary. I ordered the Blueberry Custard Pie- Blueberry custard pie and blueberry sauce. The restaurant was extremely nice on the inside and the staff was very professional and helpful. Brandon didn't miss a beat. The soft music was great and we were seated nit far from the bar, but it still felt separate. Its been years, but I will most definitely go back! THANKS KYMA! SYOY

In fact, it's a warm ambiance the second you step in...with the host/hostess sometimes offering some sparkling wine on the house. There are various spaces in the restaurant. You can go outside for some fresh air, to the bar area for a low key vibe, or a more traditional dining experience at a standard table. I have noticed that their prices listed on the menu are stale (to the detriment of the customer). On multiple occasions, we are surprised by a higher charge on the receipt than what was listed on the menu, but I let it go. Frustrating regardless. They really should update their menu instead of this nickel-and-dime approach....leaves a bad taste in our mouths.

The decor of VAS Kouzina is pretty cool. I really like the vibe of the place. Aside from that,…read moreservice was good and the food was mostly top notch. Stopped in for the first time last week. I had this bookmarked for a while and decided it was time to check it out for date night. Hubby ordered the beef sticks with grape leaves and I ordered the burger with a side of fries. We started out with the saganaki (flaming cheese). Everything was delicious with the exception of the grape leaves (can't recall the official name of this dish). I told hubby that some reviews had mentioned they were soggy and not too good. He agreed with those reviewers and would not recommend. The saganaki was both literal and metaphorical fire. The pita points it was served with were crunchy, which was pleasantly surprising. We both did wish there was some kind of sweetness to complement the cheese like a fruit jam or something, but it was delicious regardless. The beef on the sticks was tasty as was the burger but the star of the whole show were the fries. Hubby typically does not like fries but he loved these and was happy that I let him share them with me. Lol I am not sure what kind of seasoning they had but our taste buds definitely approved. They don't come with the burger but were definitely worth getting on the side. It was a little on the pricey side at about $35-40 more than our typical date night spend for less food, but it was good overall. Too pricey to make it into our weekly rotation, but will be a nice addition to our special occasion options.
