Looking for a cute, classy Turkish restaurant in the heart of Virginia Highlands. This is your…read morespot! I went for happy hour which I highly recommend. It's from 3-6pm Monday through Thursday (I believe). They have $6-8 cocktails and a variety of food in the $5-10 range. The food was all fantastic, as was our waiter. He constantly checked on us, kept the complimentary bread supplied, and gave great recs for both food and cocktails. I love a waiter who explains the menu so you know what you're getting into beforehand. As we were leaving, it was torrentially down-pouring and the host was so kind to let me borrow his umbrella to get to my car. It's rare to find this level of hospitality these days and it made my already great experience here even better.

Not bad but in a city with as much great Middle Eastern food as Atlanta, it only makes sense to…read morereach beyond Truva. Spots I would rather recommend for a nice night out are Delbar, Rumi's, and Yalda. My friends and I tried the Muhammara Dip, the Feta Cheese Rolls (reminiscent of spanakopita but no spinach and in roll form), the Truva Dumplings, and the Iskender Kebab. The Iskender Kebab and the Muhammara were the best of the bunch, but overall I think I was expecting more punch from the spices and greater nuance in the flavors of each dish. The thing I honestly enjoyed most was the complimentary bread and sun-dried tomato dip, which has gotten a number of shoutouts of Yelp already. I would come back to this spot to get a handful of appetizers, eat that bread, and hang out for a few hours. It does seem like the restaurant needs more staffing. Everyone we saw was very kind, but it took a long time to get a server's attention whenever we needed something.

Fabulous Turkish restaurant in Alpharetta!!! Awesome food and even better service! Plus live belly…read moredancing on Saturday nights! Restaurant is divided into two partitions - the dinning area and the bar area. Both similarly sized. Saturday nights are pretty busy so we made a reservation. Food wise - it is pretty typical Turkish food - but really great. Chicken shish kebab, gyros and variety of cold and hot appetizers. For dessert - a mandatory baklava with Turkish coffee. Our server Gino - added a special touch. Very nice man, great service and awesome stories!!

If you love authentic Mediterranean and Turkish flavors made with the freshest ingredients -- this one's a must-try. We kicked things off with handcrafted cocktails -- The Martini? Officially on my "every single visit" list. The Smoky Nights - a nice amalgamation of Mezcal and Black Label The Old Efendi Fashioned was perfectly balanced, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The Cold Mezze Board was a stunning collection of flavors -- every bite delivered. The spicy ezme easily stole the show for me. Sigara Börek came out hot and crisp -- the kind of appetizer you keep reaching for. For entrées, the Chicken Shish and Atlantic Salmon were cooked to perfection -- well-seasoned, juicy, and served with delicious accompaniments that tied everything together. Dessert was a sweet surprise -- The Kazandibi (homemade milk custard) was melt-in-your-mouth good without being overly sweet. And the Künefe? Perfectly portioned and every bit as indulgent as you'd hope. A refreshed vibe, authentic flavors, and 20 years of getting it right -- Efendi Mediterranean is ready for its next chapter.
