    Falafel Sandwich
    Tanni D.

I was craving Mediterranean cuisine, so I dropped by here on a Friday evening. Staff was great and I got my order in less than 20 minutes. I ordered the Falafel Sandwich, which included hummus and salad inside a pita, and a side of Greek Potatoes. Overall, the sandwich - although healthy - lacked flavor. The Greek Potatoes had zero seasoning. My partner ordered the Combination Feast, which came with shish kebab, kufta kebab, and gyro slices on top of a bed of rice. He said the portion was great for the price, but the entree in general lacked spices.

We ordered take out at work and my taste buds were delighted with the fresh flavors. The portions were filling and I was left with some food for dinner. The employees were very friendly when we went to pick up the order. I will definitely return!

Come for the Friendly service and tasty, fresh food! I enjoyed the business lunch special with drink included for dine in or take out. I chose the vegetarian plate which was enormous! It feels good to eat fresh food that is wholesome! I would have overlooked this location which is very close to the southeast corner of Piedmont Park. I usually go to Emory location! This is a great find if you are in the midtown location with private parking lot for this small strip of shops.

    The tidy dining room.

MG is the OG. Today's trip was a pleasant hike on the BeltLine from Ponce City Market down to Piedmont Park. It's a very popular route, both beginning and ending at a nice part of town. Wife and I walked peacefully down the path while our two kiddos jetted around the path on their candy colored bikes. There really is a lot of stuff on the Monroe/Piedmont corner, and the lunch lines at popular spots really show it. We had considered about heading over to Woody's for a sandwich (line too long), or over to Trader Joe's for some snacks (intense, elbow-throwing crowd with a touch of self-importance), or to Mellow Mushroom (while good, not feeling the Ben and Jerry-selling-pizza decor today). But, lo and behold our afternoon vibe was saved. Med Grill's midtown location is nestled in an oblong strip across from the park, with peaceful views of the football field. There are some other various food spots next door, but foot traffic is not overwhelming like some other spots in that area. MG is a known quantity in the Decatur area for their solid takeout that unifies the class strata of the Emory hospital corridor. Just wait in line, and behold the assembled collection of regular Joes, surgeons, professors, teenagers, and executive-looking types. Everyone seems to love the product. We love it too. I ordered (pictured) a nice chicken kabob sandwich, which arrived nicely nestled in pita with a Greek salad and some sauces. Wife got the tabbouleh with some kabob, kids dug into some fried potato chunks with a little chicken and hummus. While there was not a diversity of meats represented in our meal (all chicken for some reason), all dishes were as pleasant as could be. I was particularly happy with the tabbouleh, honestly. They were delightfully heavy handed with the lime and salt, which to me are the best and most precious components in that style of salad. Prices are totally reasonable, good value all around. When you're on that part of the BeltLine (or in Decatur!), give em a try. It's a good family spot that manages to be good all around.

$4 side order of fries. Come on, man. (Lighter for scale.)

We ordered the mini pitas to get a nice variety of what this place had to offer. Unfortunately they were very very skimpy with the meat and very very heavy on the onions. They included no sauce and the $4 serving of fries was absolutely laughable. I've been to and enjoyed this place in the past, but never again.

Stopped by here for lunch and was not disappointed. I got the lunch special ($11) and I was surprised by how much food I got for the price. The food tasted really good, too!

this place is my favorite causal lunch/dinner spot! the food is always fresh and cooked perfectly. everything is at a great price point for the portion sizes (~$13-16). the chicken kabob plate and gyros are the best. the staff are always so kind and friendly. definitely need to try for a fresh, healthy meal!

First off it's NOT Greek... they never said they were! Btw The Mediterranean Sea borders many countries . This is Moroccan /Palestinian inspired cuisine. Great treat after a beltline jog ! Across from Park Tavern. The best reasonably Mediterranean fast food I had in Atlanta ! Freshness, quality, portion and quickness is 10/10. Every time I jog on the beltline I HAVE to stop by! I usually order the chicken gyro and seasoned potatoes ,Greek salad and you can't forget desert! Mouth watering!! Friendly staff too! Thanks so much !Stop by , you won't regret it !!! trust meeee ;) Chicken Kabob Sandwich Greek SaladFalafel PlateGrilled Chicken

The food at Med Grill was a bit hit or miss, but I'll be back for the hummus alone. I got the chicken kabob plate with hummus and spanakopita. Huge portion for the price! It also came with pita and some dipping sauces. Chicken kabob- 3/5. The flavor was nice but the kabob pieces were quite large. This made it a little drier than you might get otherwise. Hummus- 5/5. Some of the best hummus I've had in Atlanta. Very creamy and great flavor. Spanakopita- 2/5. Serviceable but very skimpy on the filling and not much feta. I would pass. Overall, I'd recommend getting the hummus and I'll be back to see if another entree is a good pairing.

There was indoor and outdoor seating and we chose to sit outside as it was a beautiful night. We had amazing service, great food, in a really cute neighborhood. We were especially impressed with the staff, and we had a member come out more than once to check with one of the people dining with us who had food allergies to ensure that how they were offering the food would be safe for her. It was also impressive that this restaurant was so busy on a Monday night. There were three of us dining, and we didn't even order any of the meats, and there was plenty of food for us. From the Mazzes, we had the Omani Shrimp, which had a great dipping sauce and the Beet Carpaccio. (they were very accommodating and put the whipped feta on the side). For the Spreads, we did the hummus with mushroom, shisito and egg, which was amazing and the labneh with pickled fennel on the top. It's served with taftoun bread which I would describe as a mix of a cracker and pita with sesame on top. We also enjoyed a raw vegetable dish with radish and the most delicious apple slices. Their heirloom tomato salad was beautifully presented and plentiful. They had a flight of condiments and we were able to sample zhoug, spicy tahina and torshi, which was a mixture of pickled vegetables. We ended with a pistachio lava cake with the most delicious cardamon gelato. Overall, we had an amazing meal in their beautiful outdoor space, and we thought the food was really reasonably priced. There's something for everyone on this menu whether you're vegetarian, vegan or a meat eater.

The service has always been really great, and the owner is genuinely nice and always ready for a pleasant conversation. But sometimes the food comes out... average at best? I really only come here when I have the taste for mediterranean fare but don't feel like cooking it since it's so nearby. There are some things they do well. I like their baba ganoush, hummus, and beet salad. But other things are a bit lackluster and the meats can be a hit or miss. Sometimes it's dry, other times it's succulent. The pita is toasted, but you can surely tell it isn't made fresh. My husband is obsessed with wings and even he said the wings served here are a BIG no. Also cannot recommend the fries, as they've been notoriously dry and cold. Perhaps we should not have expected good wings given that it's primarily mediterranean fare lol. The parking situation is also abysmal. They share a really small lot and the individual spots are poorly marked. This place is off of Briarcliff and the traffic is notorious for being bad, so that makes coming and going that much harder in a lot that's already a little treacherous. When the parking lot is full, it is like playing 2-ton Tetris. I'll also note that the hours can sometimes be a suggestion, and they unexpectedly close earlier than indicated (but will leave a handwritten note). This place seems to be a local favorite. The prices are nice. I just wish it was more reliable with taste and quality.
