Absolutely Incredible - Best Meal I've Had While Traveling!…read more I travel all over the country for work, and I can honestly say Delbar delivered one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. From the moment I sat down, my bartender Taz took exceptional care of me. I wasn't familiar with the menu, so I trusted her recommendations, and she absolutely knocked it out of the park. Every single dish she chose was outstanding. I started with the fresh pita and hummus topped with the mushroom, shishito pepper, and egg addition. The pita was warm, fresh, and unlike anything I've had before. The hummus was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. The chicken wings were phenomenal, perfectly grilled with incredible flavor and just the right amount of char. The highlight of the night was the lamb neck with the Polo Sefid. The lamb was unbelievably tender and flavorful, and paired with the saffron rice, it was one of the most memorable dishes I've ever eaten. What truly elevated the experience was Taz's service. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and passionate about the food. Her recommendations made the entire meal unforgettable. If I hadn't trusted her guidance, I would've missed out on an amazing culinary experience. Beyond the incredible food, Delbar has an atmosphere that is truly special. The entire restaurant feels warm, welcoming, and almost familial as if you're being welcomed into someone's home rather than simply dining out. The lighting is absolutely gorgeous, creating the perfect ambiance without feeling overly formal. The decor is tasteful and elegant, the bar area is stunning, and the dining room strikes a perfect balance between upscale and comfortable. Even the approach to the restaurant and the outdoor space are beautifully designed. Every detail feels intentional and contributes to an experience that is as memorable as the food itself. Delbar has officially become a must-visit anytime I'm in Atlanta. I'll absolutely be returning, and next time I'll be bringing family all the way from Reno, Nevada so they can experience it too. Thank you Taz! Thank you, Delbar, for an unforgettable evening!

There was indoor and outdoor seating and we chose to sit outside as it was a beautiful night. We had amazing service, great food, in a really cute neighborhood. We were especially impressed with the staff, and we had a member come out more than once to check with one of the people dining with us who had food allergies to ensure that how they were offering the food would be safe for her. It was also impressive that this restaurant was so busy on a Monday night. There were three of us dining, and we didn't even order any of the meats, and there was plenty of food for us. From the Mazzes, we had the Omani Shrimp, which had a great dipping sauce and the Beet Carpaccio. (they were very accommodating and put the whipped feta on the side). For the Spreads, we did the hummus with mushroom, shisito and egg, which was amazing and the labneh with pickled fennel on the top. It's served with taftoun bread which I would describe as a mix of a cracker and pita with sesame on top. We also enjoyed a raw vegetable dish with radish and the most delicious apple slices. Their heirloom tomato salad was beautifully presented and plentiful. They had a flight of condiments and we were able to sample zhoug, spicy tahina and torshi, which was a mixture of pickled vegetables. We ended with a pistachio lava cake with the most delicious cardamon gelato. Overall, we had an amazing meal in their beautiful outdoor space, and we thought the food was really reasonably priced. There's something for everyone on this menu whether you're vegetarian, vegan or a meat eater.

The service has always been really great, and the owner is genuinely nice and always ready for a pleasant conversation. But sometimes the food comes out... average at best? I really only come here when I have the taste for mediterranean fare but don't feel like cooking it since it's so nearby. There are some things they do well. I like their baba ganoush, hummus, and beet salad. But other things are a bit lackluster and the meats can be a hit or miss. Sometimes it's dry, other times it's succulent. The pita is toasted, but you can surely tell it isn't made fresh. My husband is obsessed with wings and even he said the wings served here are a BIG no. Also cannot recommend the fries, as they've been notoriously dry and cold. Perhaps we should not have expected good wings given that it's primarily mediterranean fare lol. The parking situation is also abysmal. They share a really small lot and the individual spots are poorly marked. This place is off of Briarcliff and the traffic is notorious for being bad, so that makes coming and going that much harder in a lot that's already a little treacherous. When the parking lot is full, it is like playing 2-ton Tetris. I'll also note that the hours can sometimes be a suggestion, and they unexpectedly close earlier than indicated (but will leave a handwritten note). This place seems to be a local favorite. The prices are nice. I just wish it was more reliable with taste and quality.

I arrive prior to happy hour ending at 6 p.m. I watch the clock and it gets five minutes before 6 p.m. so I go to the front and ask the host if happy hour will be honored if no one takes my order. She says, the waitress hasn't come by. I reply no. A few minutes later she comes. Isn't prepared and doesn't get my order in timely. I asked her if my happy hour prices will be honored because she missed the order. Mind you, prior to her finally coming to my table I was watching her do nothing besides shimmying around where she could have been tending to guests. She says she can't give me the happy hour price because it is now past 6 p.m. There was zero ownership that this fundamental issue is one she singularly caused. I get up and walk away and took myself to Optimist down the street where I've been greeted and cared for. I am so annoyed by this failure. I don't live in the area so I was looking forward to getting reacquainted. I will no longer recommend this place to others because the service was horrible.

The restaurant itself is gorgeous, warm, inviting and calming. We were sat out on the covered patio section, with the lovely wisteria above us and a water feature behind our table. We chose to have the Spring Tasting menu, which includes a mezze platter to start with bread, your choice of entree and a dessert platter. I chose the Kafta and my husband chose the chicken shawarma. The entrees come with a generous side of Lebanese rice. We also ordered the City of Salt cocktail and a mocktail. Starting with the drinks, they were tart, tasty and refreshing. Everything was great, but the mezze platter was the highlight. The babaganoush was the best I've ever had. It had a deep, smoky flavor and was garnished with pomegranate seeds which provided such a great burst of sweet to balance out the savory. The stuffed grape leaves and falafel were also standouts. We also ordered the pickle plate because it was calling to us and what a great idea that was! The flavors here are very intense and might not be for everyone. But if you really like pickles you should give them a try. The pickled beets were our favorite. Our entrees continued the same theme of being positively packed with great flavors. The harissa and toum complimented the meats very well. And the grilled vegetables and rice rounded everything out perfectly. The baklava on the dessert platter was also the standout. This is not the baklava you'd buy at the grocery store and was the perfect end to our meal. It's not overly sweet and is balanced with a slight savory flavor, and the texture was fantastic. There was a depth of flavor in everything that shows care and consideration while crafting the menu at Zakia. You can also see this care in the decor and ambience. I will absolutely come back again in the future and would happily recommend Zakia. I would lastly like to thank our waitress Helen in particular for making our experience so lovely. She was so friendly and helpful. I couldn't have asked for a nicer night. Everyone at Zakia made my birthday a memorable one.

The jam cuts through the richness of the cheese for great balance. For my entree, I got the kafta kebab which comes with a grilled vegetable skewer and Lebanese rice as well as a red hot sauce and a garlic toum like sauce. It was all so delicious and entrees come with free, fresh baked pita which is so light. The portion was very filling. I enjoyed myself, and would come back.

Located in Peachtree Hub, it was super convenient and just a few mins walk away from our downtown hotel. We were blown away by the amazing reviews and knew we had to try it. David and I both ordered plates which came with choice of protein and two sides. Love that they don't use any seed oils and cook with EVOO! Salmon with Alfredo Pasta + Creamy Chicken Soup: Was impressed that the salmon was cooked to order. I did have to wait maybe 7-10 mins for it, but while I waited Mr. Kameel gave me and another customer waiting some free lentil soup which was pretty good. The salmon was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. I also liked the alfredo pasta, super creamy and went well with the salmon. The first few bites of the creamy chicken soup were good, but then I found it to be extremely salty and I couldn't finish it. Overall, definitely impressed with how well the salmon was cooked, although it was a bit pricey ($24). Rosemary Chicken with rice + lentils: Chicken seems to be the most popular protein and I can see why! The portion was huge and the chicken was very moist and flavorful. On their own, the rice and lentils were okay and not extraordinary. Both plates came with a piece of falafel, and while I'm not a huge fan of falafel it deserves a mention because it was really good! (I was too full to finish but David happily finished it for me). I did really appreciate being greeted by Mr. Kameel himself as soon as we walked in. He greeted every single person as they entered and talked to everyone as if they were all regulars, saying "nice to see you again my friend!" He was just so nice! Loved the atomosphere. Definitely recommend for those looking for a quick bite of high quality food.

I ordered a simple Bombay martini and one of the specialty cocktails for my wife. The bartender made my martini in a shaker and I remember hearing him asking someone else to stir it for him. For the next ten minutes or more, the bartender proceeded to make drinks for the waiters, I remember him spilling out two drinks and remaking them while my martini continued diluting in the melting Ice. Ten minutes or more later, he pours my martini into more of a champagne coup glass than a martini glass, and I waited another five minutes or more for my wife to get her drink. When I tasted the upmartini, It tasted so diluted, just bad, almost commical to me. I just laughed to myself because i've tended bar for a living and that was about the worst martini i've ever had in my life. Either Rumi is watering down his booze or the ice melted so much that there was barely a gin taste in the glass. I think their gig is rather than give you a real martini level pour they dilute you with so much melted Ice that you think you're getting a full pour martini, when, in fact, what you're getting is half gin and half melted ice. And believe ME, you are charged as though it was a real martini. The place was pretty busy, so a lot of people must not have a clue... or just like busy places. If everybody says, this is such a great place, I guess it's gotta be. Unfortunately, that's just Atlanta-if it's popular everyone just assumes it's good or pretends it is. I don't do well with pretend. Next after being seated at the table, i tried to order wine least expensive wines (so overpriced)-they were out of all of the lower-end overpriced wines I tried to order. It just bugs me to overpay so much for bottles of table wine. They're barely twenty dollars charging, 60-80 for them. But of course, ten minutes after I ordered the wine, this happened twice, the waiter told me they were out of the ones i was trying to order ( everyone must have had the same idea). Oh well. Right before the table was served the main course, the waiter and manager came to tell me that they had run out of the dish I ordered. I ended up replacing it with their duck dish that I had never heard of before but what the hell I'll try it (maybe I deserve it, because I remember my father always told me you never ordered duck in a strange restaurant you don't know) Everyone else at the table of 8 were served their meals ten minutes before my plate arrived. i'm like, please go ahead and start without me. Then, the duck arrives. I mean, if you're such a Rumi's, fan, try the duck and tell me what you think. First of all, it was lukewarm for something that apparently had just been made. The lukewarm duck comes 'in" this purple sauce, I mean, it wasn't even swimming in the purple sauce-It was submerged in the purple sauce. The waiter, of course, later brought me the wrong type of rice than the one i oredered..That's okay they brought me a new one right away. I was really starving at the time, but if I hadn't been, I don't think I would have eaten any of the duck. Being submerged in a kind of a sickening, putple sweet sauce it just wasn't appetizing at all. Challenge: if you're a big Rumi's fan, go ahead and please try the duck, but you have to try it like I did- lukewarm temptation. Then tell me if you remain an unconditionalRumi's fan. The bread is delicious though. To their credit when I tried to order 2 glasses of red wine after my meal was served, they did give us the vin de table for free. I won't be coming back here anytime soon.
