Our local friends recommended this place since our Airbnb was close by and I'm so glad they did. Very clean and spacious restaurant with good portions and prices. I ordered the eggplant dish the cut potatoes came out hot and crispy, but the eggplant could've been warmer in temperature. Overall good quality and experience. There is outdoor seating available and the chocolate torte dessert is gluten-free and vegan.

I have had a lot of Greek food in my life, but this place took the cake, and the fact that they serve breakfast all day was nothing short of pure happiness for me! Let's start with the ambiance first. They offer indoor and outdoor covered seating. Win! Service? Instantly welcomed and seated as soon as we walked in. Now the star, the food! Aphrodite French Toast 3 battered slices, cherry compote, fresh blueberries, honey syrup for me with some extra cherry compote. Could have been a little warmer, but nonetheless, absolutely divine! My fiancee got the Hecate Omelette Kasseri, arugula, tomato, onion, bell pepper, pita or toast, greek potatoes. I would fight someone over the potatoes! The omelette was good too, but you have to make sure you take a bite with the kasseri (cheese), otherwise you are missing out on flavortown! Naturally we added some pita, and by far the most authentic tasting gyro meat that I have ever had! But the thing that really set the food off was the Tzatziki. I don't know what in the illegal substance they are mixing into it, but now that I have had it, I don't want any other Tzatziki, but I do not think anything else could compare! All together it was roughly $45, and well worth every bite! Oh! I also had Ace Cider for a morning beverage. It paired perfectly with the french toast. I will, shall, and look forward to coming back here!

I stopped by here for a late lunch mid-week, and I think I found our new spot when out in Avondale Estates! Guests can order at the counter and sit while waiting for their food to be made. Reasonably priced, we opted for the gyro wrap with a side. I got the cucumber and tomato salad while my spouse upgraded to greek potatoes. I got his tzatziki on the side and took it home for my lunch bowls this week! The meat was charred well and had a nice flavor to it, the fresh veggies inside and warm wrap made this sandwich a 10/10. The restaurant wrapped the sandwich well so nothing fell out and my hands didn't get too messy. I will absolutely come back and next time try a dessert too!

Real nice restaurant and ambience. I came here on 7/31/2025. I came here the other day when the other restaurant I visited wasn't open yet. The last time I came here they just had closed for the day. Today the same restaurant I went to visit first was just done for the day so Im back here for the second time. Greek restaurant with the goods! I got a gyro with the fries for dinner yesterday and I got a gyro platter for lunch at work the following day it came with a great salad! They have dessert that will make your mouth water. I've been in the gym doing my cardio and trying to stay off of sugar. The food is delicious the gyro is huge!

Gyro meat was too thick, a bit tough. I thought it was supposed to be shaved?

The food was decent, there was nothing special about it. I was expecting shaved lamb meat, I thought gyros had shaved lamb, but the meat was pretty thick and a bit tough. There wasn't a lot of meat on the sandwich either. I also ordered the side Greek salad but was taken aback by the dressing. I'm used to a creamy, "Greek" dressing, and not one that looks like thick balsamic dressing. It was so thick I could barely get it out of the container. Grecian Gyro is much better.

Came here with a friend for a quick lunch and it was so good. Perfect meal before our walk. We honestly didn't know what to expect as we just found it randomly. I got the gyro wrap with the greek salad and she got the chicken wrap with fries. The wrap was so yummy! The tsaziki sauce was present with every bite. The salad was way more than I expected but also yummy! I tried her fries and they were actually crispy and tasted fresh. Definitely check out this place if you're in the area!

Super good and super fast! I stopped by for a quick bite and was blown away. The gyro was packed with flavor, the meat was juicy, and the pita was perfectly warm. Service was friendly and quick--got my order in just a few minutes. Great spot if you're craving something tasty without the wait. Definitely coming back soon!

Was in the area and was craving some Greek food. Decided to try Kafenio for the first time and I'm already thinking about my next visit. My friend and I both got gyros and they did not disappoint. Great portion sizes and the flavors were spot on. I got fries on the side and I have no complaints- hot, crispy, and well seasoned. The vibe is casual and staff is friendly. Makes a perfect spot for a relaxed lunch or dinner with friends.

I went to Kafenio in a good mood and this instantly changed. While ordering, I was asked by Joe if I wanted utinsils and I stated yes. One of my orders was a wrap. When I got it, I asked if there were utensils in it because I did not feel any. She proceeded to tell me it was a wrap and didn't know I needed it.... What is she? The utensil police?? Then I was standing up (said nothing to this person). She proceeded to start fussing at me saying she promises she will get me my food and that I can sit down. At this point what is wrong with her? Because she doesn't control if I sit or stand. I asked her if I was bothering her, and she said no but she feels rushed. So I politely told her to stop talking to me and she walked away Customer service was trash to say the least and I won't be back. And her name is Joe. She clearly doesn't need to be in the front.

If you love Greek food, this place can definitely hit the spot! Good prices, flavorful food, great service but sometimes the parking lot can get full due to the other businesses and apartments. Just be aware!

We just ordered takeout, and I've gotta say that was the best gyro I've had in a long time. The Greek potatoes were also excellent.

Please advise how noisy is it (if I'm bringing a slightly deaf person who doesn't do well with loud conversations)?

Kafenio was much quieter than most restaurants of it's kind. I was there just before and during the Sunday brunch rush and it never got very loud. I actually commented about how quiet it was to my husband who is a sound recordist for film and TV. He… Read more

We arrived at the restaurant an hour before our show and notified the waitress that we were on a tight timeline. We prepaid in an effort to save time and not have spend time at the end to close out. We did not receive our food! 5 minutes before we were due at the theater, they started bringing out some things that we didn't have time to eat. We told them that we would just like a refund. They had us put our phone numbers and the last 4 digits of our credit cards on the back of our receipts and told us that they would refund us. Imagine my surprise when the charge for food I didn't get appeared on my credit card. It's so sad because I truly thought this was an amazing restaurant, but I cannot bring myself to go back. *Update*. I was finally refunded, but still won't return!

Problem is that I don't like to drive the distance via the highway. Luckily my cousin is here and he was willing to drive. It was a Thursday night and we thought we'd try to avoid the evening rush hour traffic. It was still busy but we made it. This location is right by the 715 Peachtree Parking Garage and the restaurant does validate parking. We went in about 7:30 pm and it wasn't crowded. We waited for the one waitress before she told us to sit anywhere. I knew what I wanted because of past experience and finding a menu online. I let my cousin know that all of the food is good and their portions are huge. I got the Greek Combo and he got the lamb skewers with a salad. I also ordered the Dolmades as an appetizer. The Dolmades came out fairly quickly with a side of warm pita quarters. The combination of the two was yummy! It wasn't too long after that our entrees came. My cousin's salad came soon after the entrees were delivered. It came in a bowl on a larger plate with dressing on the side. As he was trying to pick out the cucumbers because of allergies, things were falling out, so I suggested he out the contents on the plate. The salad covered the plate and was high. I must have misread what was in the combo because as I started to eat, there was spanakopita, pastitio and then I found the eggplant for the moussaka. I thought the combo was moussaka and pastitio only. As I said, the portions were huge. It also comes with green beans and rice or Greek potatoes I got the potatoes. I barely made a dent in my order, it was definitely filling. My cousin had 2 large skewers with rice and green beans. He too had a huge portion with rice and green beans. We both had to ask for boxes the take our food home. Our waitress asked if we wanted dessert so we asked what they had. I remember that the Norcross location had a large display case with cakes, baklava and cheesecake. They only had three choices to offer---baklava, Greek cheesecake and another Greek dessert. I chose the baklava for my cousin and I to split and a box to take 1/2 home. We shared the 1/2 and that was plenty for the 2 of us. I don't remember if there was music playing in the background, but because it wasn't crowded, my cousin and I could have a nice conversation and feel comfortable. Our waitress was attentive, making sure our drinks were refilled. When we first came in, I let her know I missed having the Norcross location because it was convenient for me, but I understand why they closed to maintain the one location. She had worked at the Norcross location for 6 years with the waitress who I always had when I went in. I think she was actually one of the owners. If it wasn't so far to get to for me, I'd go more frequently. For those who go to the Fox Theatre, I'd definitely recommend having dinner here before the show. It's only a block from the theatre.

This was yet another solid eating experience at this fast food restaurant. I was glad to see that the service is still on point and the dining room is kept in very good shape such that it's better to eat in than take your order to go. Some of the best things in life are found when you're not looking. That's what happened when I first discovered this Grecian Gyros location - over 8 years ago. I'm glad it's still here. Not only that, painting up your business in the colors of the Greek flag is bound to have some marketing value ... it makes you want to drop in if driving along and you like Greek food. In fact, if transiting between Stone Mountain's unique outcropping and park and Atlanta through its east side, you could very easily be coming through here if not using 78 or wanting to shop or run some errands. I know that I plan to come back.
