Chicken shawarma w/ baraka sauce
Rachel W.

Ohhh yesss, this place is a gem. Very cost effective and great food. I got the chicken shawarma with baraka sauce and I was so pleased. The pita size is much more generous than most places I've been to - most don't even include the pita! Not pictured is the baklava which is a MUST. Will definitely be going here again

Super dry falafel & pita bread
Pamela B.

I had a super long day of traveling, I was so hungry. I ordered the falafel via door dash. I couldn't finish it. It was so so so dry. Both the falafel and the pita bread were like card board. I'm still super hungry and can't bring myself to finish eating. I'm so sad and disappointed. I can't even really order anything else because it's a work expense so I'm going to bed hungry. Nothing worse than a disappointing meal after already being tired and exhausted from traveling. Such a bummer.

Combination Shawarma Sandwich

A great little hole-in-the-wall in Stone Mountain! I got the combination shawarma and I was very impressed by the flavors. The menu was not overly complicated and the service was great.

Fries and 1 Sambusa

I ordered the 2 Regular Falafel Sandwich- Vegan Style.($6.49 each) I also ordered 2 small orders of fries ($1.99 each) (I didn't see unfortunately that there was a large order of fries. I also ordered 2 Sambusa ($1.00 each) and 1 order of baklava ($1.99) Total: $20.48 I think overall the food was decent but I feel like it lacking additional flavor. The best thing I would say was the Sambusa and the fries was good too. I usually get extra sauce on the falafel sandwiches because It what I prefer, but I did not because looking at another ordered that was being made, they put a great amount of sauce but to my dismay unfortunately there was not enough when I got home. It would have made the sandwich a bit better because the falafel were extremely dry unfortunately. The baklava tasted like sugar bread. Not what I am used to. I would go back but probably just for the sambusa and fries, maybe even try the falafel again but it would be sparingly. Overall it's up for you to decide but definitely if it had more of flavor it will be a hit. (Ps also I had way more fries then this I just grab a bit from the pile. )

We have been searching for good Mediterranean Food since we moved to Atlanta in 2020, we have finally found it in Baraka Shawarma!! The food is amazing and full of flavor. The best falafel I have had in Atlanta. The staff were extremely nice and ensured are order was correct and timely. We will definitely return to Baraka Shawarma routinely and so should you! Great food!

Sometimes yelp steers you wrong. In the case of Baraka Shawarma, the reviews definitely live up to the food you're chomping down on. I paid Baraka a visit while out and about looking for lunch and this is definitely a hidden in plain site gem. Located in the Memorial center strip, Baraka is in the furthest left corner of these shops. The interior is much larger than I would have thought from the outside storefront, making you and all of your friends having no problem stopping in for a meal. Speaking of meals, I ordered the following: Combination Shawarma ($7.49) Chicken sambusa ($1) Beef sambusa ($1.49) So starting out with the Sambusa, I should first say that all of their sambusa (there's a veggie too) are $1.49 each, but if you buy 2 of them, they're $2.49. These were both lightly fried triangular shaped pieces stuffed with beef or chicken. More veggies are stuffed in with the chicken, as it looks like only carrot slices are found within the beef. Both of the sambusa were delicious, crispy and were bursting with flavor. I'd highly recommend these! The Combination Shawarma gets its name from being filled with both chicken chunks and lamb, and also filled with lettuce, onion, and sauce. The size of the regular is very generous in terms of the food you get. After eating it I was stuffed. Nice flavors, tender meats and an all around fav for me. Located off of memorial drive, in the Memorial Center, there's a couple of exits here and one is a red light exit, in case you want to turn left onto memorial. Parking here is shared and so you'll find a spot i'm sure. I went on a weekday afternoon and even though there was one person ahead of me, it still took me about 20 minutes to get out of there. I'm not sure how staffed they were, but I only saw 2 people, one placing all the orders and one in the rear. Either way, I stood for several minutes before I was addressed. With that said, if you're looking for fast service, that doesn't include Baraka. At the end of the day, I do like Baraka Shawarma, and I was happy to stumble over them. Good flavors, large interior, here's hoping they get some more foot traffic .

My go-to is the gyro combo with a side of greek potatoes (the latter are amazing, and you get so many it's like a double-side). The pitas are fresh and their tzatziki sauce is great. Service is always friendly and they get it to you quickly, though at peaks times (read: business lunch hour) there can be a line. There is a small dining room with booths and tables if you're looking to dine in. Prices are reasonable, so if you're at the park or strolling the Beltline and jonesing for a gyro, give them a try.

These were times when Beltline was not even around to help it boost in business. Not too many restaurants in the city can claim to have been around this long, especially with multiple locations. All the middle eastern classics are here and while nothing is spectacular, everything is good. The gyro wrap has plentiful gyro meat in it, on the other hand the bread itself is wet, which one can assume happens during preparation of the wrapping and the experience isn't particularly pleasant. The gyro meat itself is fine. Nothing about this gyro is really amazing, but also nothing is terrible. The price is $10 in 2025, which is reasonable for what it is. Aside from the food itself, the people are nice, everything happens quickly and the place is kept clean. Mediterranean Grill is a long running, small business and probably has a special place in the palettes of many Atlantans.

We also ordered the spicy mix kebabs , the milky dessert with tea, and mangu. The food was delicious, no complaints there at all. We loved the kebabs, the afghan rice, the bread, and the goat. We ended up ordering more rice because for us the portion was small since we were sharing. The service was slow and they were out of a few popular menu items. It wasn't packed but there were a couple of big tables already seated when we walked in. We never got the mangu and I had to find ways to distract myself since the food took a while to come. However, the servers were kind and apologized many times for the slowness. They even comped the extra rice for us. The ambiance was family friendly but I could see the place being a spot for adults to hang in the evening because there was open space. I think it would be a perfect venue for a small event. Definitely worth a try.

We were greeted by a hostess when we got in and promptly seated. We started our meal with the hummus and lentil soup. The hummus is the smoothest I've ever had and was paired with some warmed up pita. I'm usually not a big fan of lentils but the soup was good. The broth had a nice flavor. I got the half order of Shish Tawook for myself and my friend got the falafel wrap. The half is quite filling and still very delicious.
