Afghan Goat Karahi
India N.

Went here for Mother's Day and had an overall pleasant experience. The food was great (pictured below is the afghan goat). We also ordered the spicy mix kebabs , the milky dessert with tea, and mangu. The food was delicious, no complaints there at all. We loved the kebabs, the afghan rice, the bread, and the goat. We ended up ordering more rice because for us the portion was small since we were sharing. The service was slow and they were out of a few popular menu items. It wasn't packed but there were a couple of big tables already seated when we walked in. We never got the mangu and I had to find ways to distract myself since the food took a while to come. However, the servers were kind and apologized many times for the slowness. They even comped the extra rice for us. The ambiance was family friendly but I could see the place being a spot for adults to hang in the evening because there was open space. I think it would be a perfect venue for a small event. Definitely worth a try.

Kabuli Pulao

Went to this afgani restaurant in Roswel Georgia, had the Kabuli pulao and mixed grilled platter. Food was good place is very clean and good family ambiance, and service was nice as well, if in the mood for some afgani food do check them out.

Kabul Kabob has a beautiful interior, its spacious with gorgeous lanterns and traditional decorations. The people working there are quite welcoming, especially, the owner goes that extra mile to come check on his customers and bring them complimentary dessert or tea. Now about the food, everything is delicious! My favorite was the Peri Peri Grilled Chicken. It had just the right amount of spiciness and tanginess. The meat was tender and usually better than how grilled chicken breast tastes like. We also ordered the wings and mantu for appetizer, those were pretty good too! For entree, we ended up ordering lamb shank- which I expected to be more tender, but it felt a bit dry. Next, we got chicken karahi and that was a 10/10, amazing flavors and good quantity but again, it feels a bit pricey- not sure if its because of the location. They brought out a couple of sauces and complimentary salad with cucumber and tomato which paired well with all the dishes we ordered. My expectations from the koobideh kabobs were a bit high but they were nothing extraordinary. You should give this place a try, it'll be great for large parties and family gatherings since there's so much space. You won't have to worry about parking because the parking lot is huge. We ended the lunch with jalebi- which could be crispier but ended up being a bit soggy and oversweet. However, the complimentary tea was refreshing and exactly what we needed on a cold afternoon.

Wow - what a hidden gem in Roswell - the food was delicious and you have to try the egg plant and warm naan bread appetizer

Spicy chicken kebab

We came here for a group lunch and everyone really enjoyed their food. I ordered the spicy chicken kebabs and they were terrific. They had just enough spice. The entree also comes with a tasty salad. The waiter was really nice to our group. The space has a nice new ambiance. My only issue is they don't have a weekday lunch menu, so it can be on the pricey side for lunch. But I would definitely come back.

We had the best experience on a Sunday night. The food was delicious, the service was great, and our server, Hassan, recommended some great dishes for us to try as first timers! We will definitely be coming back and bringing more friends to enjoy!

Mantu

Beautiful decor, fantastic food, great service. My wife and I have never had Afghani food before. The mantu dumplings are a must try, and the mixed combinations are generous. The chicken was cooked perfectly, juicy and fill of flavour. Make sure and order some bread and get the saffron tea.

I came here for lunch after playing pickleball next door at Ace Pickleball and was pleasantly surprised! I thought the food was excellent and the service was good too. There were only a few other tables dining when we were there so I can't speak to how it might be when it's very busy. They serve lots of different Afghan cuisine. I had the Sultani Kabob combo, which comes with a salad, two meats and rice as well as two different sauces (the white sauce is great!). The portion was fairly large so I was able to bring some of it home for lunch the following day. I'd say if you are really hungry you might be able to finish it on your own. GLUTEN FREE TIPS* We asked if all of their meats are gluten free and they informed us they were, however if you are concerned about something specific like a spice or anything else I would suggest calling ahead of time to double check. Their menu is in a lot of pictures on Yelp so you can figure out what you might order. *As of November 2021 my reviews are written from a celiac, gluten free perspective. I recommend researching online (like the Find Me Gluten Free app) and calling ahead for your own personal needs.

Beautiful restaurant. Was NOT expecting this in a strip mall. The staff was very kind in answering questions about the menu. The kabobs themselves were some of the best I've ever had. Will definitely be back for more.

Fantastic food! Prices are high for quantity of food received, however Kabul Kabob is lovely. This place is casual, nicely appointed, offering table service not counter ordering. Kubeediah Kabob $20.99 is expensive but good, not seasoned much, so the chutney and yogurt sauce will help amp up the flavor. The Saffron Chicken Kabob $17.99 is much too expensive for a mere 4 small pieces of chicken - most places give 7 or 8 chucks of chicken. The meals are accompanied with lovely rice and a delicious salad. I also ordered the Mantu (appetizer) $14.99, that was delicious. The bread is separate. I did order a basket, it is not traditional Afghani bread instead it is a fresh naan bread which is cut in squares. Verdict...Kabul Kabob is worth a drive to come over and try but it is expensive for what you get!

It's behind the Shell gas station on Roswell Road across from the PNC plaza. Honestly I need Google to update where this location is located. Looks might be deceiving while the restaurant has downgraded in size and appearance. It is still one of my favorite Pakistani restaurants. The meat here is Halal and it has so much flavor. The restaurant is actually a lot smaller. It's more of a stall now in my opinion there's only three tables. The menu has also significantly decreased in size, but if you're looking for the full size restaurant, they still have one I believe in Gwinnett. It's just too far for me to drive to. This one is about 40 minutes from my house so it's doable. While the restaurant might not look the cleanest, there's no AC, and the staff is hidden in the kitchen. The food really makes up for it. You do have to walk up to the ordering window because they will not come to your table unless they bring your food. I got two orders of the Tandoori chicken kebabs. It was everything my taste buds needed. It does take time to cook so I had to wait about almost 20 to 30 minutes. I wish they had cold drinks because my sprite was room temperature. This is definitely more of a to go restaurant. I would not come in a group of more than four people. when I tell you this place is a lot smaller than their other locations. I'm not exaggerating. There's only three tables.

Love a good halal chicken sandwich…read more My friend and I had Karachi Broast delivered through Uber Eats for dinner. Although it took forever and arrived later than expected, the food was still tasty. This was my first time, so my friend ordered her favorites: Tandoori Chicken Salad, Tandoori Chicken Alfredo, Zinger Burger. I enjoyed the Zinger Burger, even though it did feel a little on the sweeter side. The tandoori chicken on both the salad and pasta had a nice kick to it! The creaminess of the pasta definitely helped ! I would like to try the salad with dressing next time and hope to visit this location soon!

It's in a shopping center so there's free parking. It's right off Roswell Road so you really can't miss it even though it is kinda off in the corner but it's still easy to find . They have a little outdoor area so you can actually sit outside if you wanted to be in the element and it's actually covered as well because it's right under the awning of the building so that's an option too. You come in and it's a large shop but it's not a lot. Most of the space there is going to be seating. You can look around and they have a little market area but the market area is very small. They do have particular specific items so you can check that out while you wait for your food. You can see the menus on the board and everybody there is super friendly and they'll explain anything to you. We had a pretty good short conversation while I waited. Love the customer service . Hummus - I tried the hummus and it was okay. Nothing crazy about it and it was just regular and not like it was roasted red pepper or garlic or anything like that but it was decent . Chicken shawarma wrap - the wrap was pretty good. It wasn't great but it was pretty good. It had a lot of color to it, meaning they were seasoning it for sure, but the flavor was only okay. The flavor was not popping out of your mouth but it was a decent but subtle flavor. It was super tender! Chicken kabob - the kebab plate came with two skewers and rice with a salad and it came with some garlic sauce as well. I think that the kebab was better than the shawarma to me. It had the same char flavor but mixed with the rice and the garlic sauce, it took it up another notch as well. You got a lot of it though so it wasn't like you only got two pieces of meat per skewer and a small handful of rice. You got a bed of rice so it was really good. The salad was low quality but I really didn't care about that because I didn't come for salad lol. Overall you paid maybe like $12 or $14 for this. It wasn't bad for a full plate . All in all it was a pretty decent experience. They're very customer-oriented and customer-friendly so you go in there, you will be fine. They'll take care of you

There's no formal dress code, so some tables were fully dressed in fancy outfits celebrating birthdays. While other tables were in sweatshirts and jeans. So just wear whatever you want. The small appetizer plate they bring out is good, I ate the flat bread with a hummus I ordered. The hummus is solid but I'd probably try a different dip the next time. I ordered the Salmon kebab plate. I was asked how I wanted my salmon cooked, and I said well-done. But how they cooked it was amazing! The salmon was fully cooked but still flaky and tender, and juicy. I found it flavorful enough, but there is a salt and pepper grinder on the table if you need it. It comes with a roasted tomato and a huge mound of saffron rice. I liked the rice a lot but it is a bit plain. If you want a more flavorful or interesting rice, you can add a different rice for $4. Those extra charge ones come with a lot more toppings like different nuts, herbs, or dried fruits. I'd like to try more different dishes next time, but what I was very satisfied by what I ordered. The restaurant is very dimly lit. The server was very nice and attentive. It's in a strip mall area so parking isn't hard to find.

I ordered a simple Bombay martini and one of the specialty cocktails for my wife. The bartender made my martini in a shaker and I remember hearing him asking someone else to stir it for him. For the next ten minutes or more, the bartender proceeded to make drinks for the waiters, I remember him spilling out two drinks and remaking them while my martini continued diluting in the melting Ice. Ten minutes or more later, he pours my martini into more of a champagne coup glass than a martini glass, and I waited another five minutes or more for my wife to get her drink. When I tasted the upmartini, It tasted so diluted, just bad, almost commical to me. I just laughed to myself because i've tended bar for a living and that was about the worst martini i've ever had in my life. Either Rumi is watering down his booze or the ice melted so much that there was barely a gin taste in the glass. I think their gig is rather than give you a real martini level pour they dilute you with so much melted Ice that you think you're getting a full pour martini, when, in fact, what you're getting is half gin and half melted ice. And believe ME, you are charged as though it was a real martini. The place was pretty busy, so a lot of people must not have a clue... or just like busy places. If everybody says, this is such a great place, I guess it's gotta be. Unfortunately, that's just Atlanta-if it's popular everyone just assumes it's good or pretends it is. I don't do well with pretend. Next after being seated at the table, i tried to order wine least expensive wines (so overpriced)-they were out of all of the lower-end overpriced wines I tried to order. It just bugs me to overpay so much for bottles of table wine. They're barely twenty dollars charging, 60-80 for them. But of course, ten minutes after I ordered the wine, this happened twice, the waiter told me they were out of the ones i was trying to order ( everyone must have had the same idea). Oh well. Right before the table was served the main course, the waiter and manager came to tell me that they had run out of the dish I ordered. I ended up replacing it with their duck dish that I had never heard of before but what the hell I'll try it (maybe I deserve it, because I remember my father always told me you never ordered duck in a strange restaurant you don't know) Everyone else at the table of 8 were served their meals ten minutes before my plate arrived. i'm like, please go ahead and start without me. Then, the duck arrives. I mean, if you're such a Rumi's, fan, try the duck and tell me what you think. First of all, it was lukewarm for something that apparently had just been made. The lukewarm duck comes 'in" this purple sauce, I mean, it wasn't even swimming in the purple sauce-It was submerged in the purple sauce. The waiter, of course, later brought me the wrong type of rice than the one i oredered..That's okay they brought me a new one right away. I was really starving at the time, but if I hadn't been, I don't think I would have eaten any of the duck. Being submerged in a kind of a sickening, putple sweet sauce it just wasn't appetizing at all. Challenge: if you're a big Rumi's fan, go ahead and please try the duck, but you have to try it like I did- lukewarm temptation. Then tell me if you remain an unconditionalRumi's fan. The bread is delicious though. To their credit when I tried to order 2 glasses of red wine after my meal was served, they did give us the vin de table for free. I won't be coming back here anytime soon.
